Everything went well until we went outside to view the car that was selected for her. The lot attendant was cordial and respectful and showed us a Sentra that was dirty. He himself admitted it was dirty and tried to give us a VW Jetta but it had no spare. Then a Malibu and again no spare but it may have had an inflation kit (useless). Then he began talking about upgrading for $18.00 a day more??? My daughter rejected the additional $18.00 because if Enterprise did not have the car she was supposed to have, then the upgrade should have been at no extra charge. By now the attendant was getting frustrated and showed us another Sentra, dirtier than the first one, and tried to tell us it was clean. Reluctantly, he then took it behind the building and sprayed it off with water. It was still dirty when he brought it back including the inside. When my daughter began pointing out various dents and scratches he commented that ALL dents and scratches were already noted in the record of the car and she could take pictures if she wanted. By now he just wanted my daughter to sign the agreement and accept the car. She did sign the agreement and from there she went and had the car cleaned properly at a car wash at her expense. She was not happy with the car but because the attendant was already showing his exasperation she accepted it. There is obviously not a manger at this location. Otherwise, he or she would be reviewing their inventory and identifying which cars need attention and which are ready to be rented. In addition, a manger would have given my daughter the up grade at no extra charge.

They give you cars that are dirty consistently and they give you cars that don't have gas. I just picked up a Ford expedition the other day so I don't have to tell you how much I spent. Obviously it was a lot. And it has 70 miles in it when I got it. I just think that's unacceptable because most people are gonna bring it back with a little more. I had to put gas in it in order to do what I needed to do, and then when I returned it, it had over 85 miles in it because I had to fill it up with gas while I had it. There's no way for me to burn all the gas out before dropping the car off this Sunday morning. They should take money off of that price because you should not be giving people cars that don't have gas. Is it a strategy so that you can get a car in return that has gas. You know people are gonna be filling up these cars because they're getting them on empty. Is this a scam? Just very unprofessional. My friend recommended me to this place and I shouldn't have listened because she had a bad experience with them. They gave the car dirty and they were just rude. They try to say that they didn't have any cars in the morning and when she questioned the ability to reserve the car only to find out that they don't have a car, they got upset and cursed and slammed the key on top of the counter. She reported it to their manager, but I don't know if anything gets done about it because some of the same things still exist. Wash these cars and put gas in them. That's good business practice.

Apparently it's perfectly acceptable per "Victor" the rental agent, as long as it's not a cigarette burn. And, the only thing "Victor" was willing to do was "bomb" the car for the funky smell, which is probably coming from whatever stained the seats. Then, instead of "bombing" the car as I was told they were going to do, they just spritzed it with something that smelled like rotten lemons so that the car had a pretty unpleasant funky and rotten lemon scent. When I asked to be put into a different vehicle because I certainly didn't want to sit in greasy unidentifiable looking stains, "Victor" told me they didn't have another vehicle on the lot. Not even10 minutes later, some guy walks in off the street, without a reservation, and drives away in an SUV. How does that happen when there's not another car on the lot available to someone who has a reservation???? I questioned "Victor" and let him know I was recording our conversation, his whole attitude changed and suddenly there were other cars available on the lot and, what he meant when he told me he had nothing available was in the same "SUV class" I had reserved. Apparently when I asked if there was ANYTHING ELSE available on the lot I was unclear about the ANYTHING ELSE part and suddenly, like magic, there were other options. Why not instead of saying there was nothing available, he instead said we don't have a similar vehicle available but here are some options for you. Nope. Unfortunately, this location is busy because they have no competition in the area so they can obviously (read the other reviews) can get away treating customers like we're the problem. That won't always be the case.

Initially, I was sent a vague letter notifying me of this charge. When I called and asked for clarification, the photos they sent me were a joke. No scratches or dents, not seat tears, just dirt that a shop vac would handle. This is a predatory business practice. The vehicle was returned without issue, no damage was pointed out at drop-off, and yet days later they suddenly "found" windshield damage and billed me anyway. This is not an accident and it's not rare. Numerous customers report the exact same thing: damage claims appearing after the car is returned, vague or nonexistent proof, and a corporate system designed to make disputing charges nearly impossible. It feels like a deliberate revenue tactic, not an honest mistake. Avis provided no credible evidence that the damage happened during my rental, yet still took my money. That is unacceptable. Charging customers hundreds of dollars after the fact for unproven damage is predatory, unethical, and dishonest. If you rent from Avis, assume you are guilty until proven innocent--and even then, expect to fight. Take photos, videos, document everything, and be prepared to dispute charges with your credit card company. Better yet, save yourself the headache and rent from literally anyone else.     I would give fewer stars if I could. This company is ripping people off and this office was…read moreterrible! On January 5th I placed a reservation online. On that day my credit card was charged $276.27. On January I changed the reservation and my credit card was charged an additional $47.33. This is a total of $276.27 taken from my credit card. On January 11th I arrived at the Gainesville, GA location to pick up the rental. After waiting over 30 minutes to be helped by an employee I was informed there was a no rental on my license and I was given a number to call. When I spoke with the lady at that number I was told I had an outstanding balance, though I never rented from Hertz, and that my credit card would be refunded $276.27 within 7-10 business days. It is now January 31st and I have yet to receive my refund. The way Hertz conducts business is ridiculous. They immediately took my money. If, as I was told, there was a block on my driver's license number due to a past-due balance the reservation should have never gone through when I put in my license information and you should have never taken money out of my account. I have tried to contact them and I have received no response.
