Worst customer service, once I walked in she asked for my driver license to upgrade a code. That's all nothing else. I have a discount through my job I always put in while checking out online. They asked for my insurance information which in all the times I rented thru enterprise I never had to give my car insurance. She said I couldn't get the car until I gave the insurance. Once we did the walk around the car and only once I was signing the contract did I noticed the price was changed to a higher price than what was promised online. You would think that's the first thing they would mention once I walked in. They said the discount that I place online was an old one. If it was an old,expired, or not valid code why else would it be recognized through their site. They could've of easily contacted me and told me hey just wanted to let you know the price will change due to the discount you place online give me some type of heads up. I rented a mini suv. The tire went low after I had it for a few days. The manager said it was due to the weather, without checking out the tire. I went back, they filled it and it went low again after 2 days. I returned the vehicle again, only for the manager to go on again about the weather without checking the tire. I asked them to fix the tire and they offered to fill it again! That was another bandaid to a problem she did not address. I am from Colombia and visiting Indiana just tried to rent a car in the Crown Point Enterprise office, using my Colombian driver s license. The answer was NO, we don't want to deal with Colombian drivers licenses... Why??? By law I can drive in this country for 6 months with my license... so why??? Worst customer service we've ever experienced. We frequently rent from Enterprise at other locations. I booked a rental for my wife to use while she was in NWI this weeek. I put her info into their website and called ahead of time to make sure they'd have her car. My wife arrived only to be told they wouldn't accept a debit card for payment. We've used a debit card at other area Enterprise locations with no problem and they're supposedly take them according to their website (see excerpt from the Enterprise website below). When she complained, the clerk was rude, berated her, and told her to leave. I tried calling to give him another form of payment and he hung up on me. Wouldn't even talk to me. So here's my little 5' tall, middle age, Italian wife stuck out in the cold in an unfamiliar area without a car, without a coat, and no ride (she was dropped off). I called around and was able to find her a rental car, but the place was closing (it was a Saturday). She went to Budget on 81st in Merrillville where they stayed open to wait for her and accepted her debit card with a smile (and the cost was lower for a nicer car). Needless to say we won't be using the Crown Point Enterprise again. I called corporate and filled a complaint, but undoubtedly the Enterprise clerk will have a much different version of events (my big bad wife was probably threatening to him ). read more

DO NOT RENT FROM THIS LOCATION....Friday 09/25/2020 was the worst day ever for my family and I. I've rented from enterprise for years and I was traveling from Indy to Chicago my truck broke down about 1hour and 45 minutes into my drive. So I made a reservation at this location got a jump and was 20 minutes away I could not take my foot off of the gas pedal or my truck would just cut off. I had previously broke down on the highway. I was able to make it to enterprise driving with 2 feet, I went to this enterprise and they refused to rent a vehicle to me they told me they service the Indy area but since I was a little ways outside of Indianapolis I needed a major credit card in order to rent their vehicles. I've NEVER used a major credit card to rent a enterprise vehicle no matter what state I rented it from. My children were with me as well, we were stranded. The branch manager didn't care we were stranded he said "sorry" and continued to assist other people nor did the area manager care about me or my family's situation he actually told the branch manager not to rent to me because I was a little outside of the Indianapolis area. Other customers were saying things like " that's so sad they won't rent to you they see you are broke down with your children" " im so sorry your car is broke down" "are you broke down" " do you have any help" the enterprise customers were more concerned about my family and I. My car was hit by an Allstate insured driver and while my car was in for repairs I was able to get a rental from Allstate at their expense as long as it was at their approved rate of $25.40 per day. I explained that to the individual at the Crown Point Enterprise Rent A Car facility and was told that would be for a sub compact car, which I was fine with. I once again said that the cost of the rental must stay within Allstate's rate. I was given a Malibu which was dropped off at the collision repair shop. Having stressed to the counter person at Enterprise what the rate needed to be, which he already knew having dealt with Allstate before, I trusted I was given the Allstate approved rate. I was charged a higher rate and was told they didn't have a car that would qualify for that rate. I said "that's not my fault. If you can't give me the rate you should have told me and I would have gone to another rental company". Then I was told they had notes that I was going to call the insurance company to see if they would pay the higher rate. That's a lie!! They fabricated this lie to cover themselves. They lack credibility at this location and I strongly suggest avoiding doing business them. It's not the extra money I had to pay (I was not at fault in the accident so I shouldn't have paid a dime anyway) it's the credibility of this Crown Point Enterprise location. read more

My rental experience was pretty much hassle free. They picked me up from the shop and brought me around the corner to their office and completed the paperwork and insurance info and I was on my way. When I returned to the shop to pick up my repaired vehicle I was able to leave the rental there and the shop called them to pick up their car. The only thing you have to watch is how they bill you. With insurance rentals it is billed by the calander day and I dropped the rental off at the shop by 3:30pm and it was picked up before I had even left the shop but my bill reflected a 3rd day instead of 2. A simple call to the branch office was all I needed and it was taken care of. read more

This review is in response to a letter I received from Enterprise about a toll violation. I added the rental car to my I-Pass account the morning of the violation and did not use the toll road until later that evening around 5:30. The Illinois Toll Way sent a letter to Enterprise calling attention to the "violation", which is not my fault because the vehicle WAS registered to my account before I used the toll way, and requested they pay the toll. In turn, Enterprise apparently paid the .75 cent charge, and are now charging me $15.75 as reimbursement for their payment and an additional administrative fee! $15.00 for an administrative fee??? ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?!?!?!? This company is run by a bunch of money gouging crooks! They should have sent be the bill from the Illinois Toll Way and I would have GLADLY paid the toll fee. Now, I have to pay an absurd amount of money for something that really isn't even my fault! RIDICULOUS!! I WILL NEVER RENT A CAR FROM ENTERPRISE AS LONG AS I'M ALIVE!!! read more
