I went in to return my rental and had to wait 45 minutes to turn it back in..............keep in mind it took well over a hour to pick up the rental. Convient location for residents of DeSoto and Lancaster and fast check in/out if you've rented here before, but other than that quite disappointing. I don't understand why 2/3 of my last rentals smelled like dog poo. I couldn't get rides earlier than 8:30 am nor after 4pm one day and at 5:30pm the next. I'm renting from Enterprise because this is supposed to be their mark of customer service! The staff is friendly enough but beyond smiles and courteous phrases they aren't going to go not even one extra inch. I have an idea; why don't you ask the customer if they need a ride when they book and again when they pick up their car? Or would that be too much customer service?!! read more

Our initial interaction with this Enterprise car rental was pleasant. I have rented vehicles 100s of times and had never been required to place a deposit yet this franchise did so which was odd. Our experience with the vehicle was good and we had no issues. The problems started upon returning the vehicle. After my wife returned the vehicle and completed the walk around with the agent of the franchise she was cleared and went on her way knowing all financial ties had been absolved. Later that day an agent left a voice mail stating said vehicle had incurred 'hail damage". During the entire period of our rental the vehicle was used and parked in Cedar hill. Over this span of time there was no hail in Cedar Hill or the surrounding area. Being a litigator i began to sense a case of developing fraud. Agents at this location need to be re-trained and perhaps prior cases of insurances claims out of this location should be investigated thoroughly. BEWARE!!!! The are NOT honest about everything. It has been over a month and they still haven't given me my deposit back. I have complained to their corporate office 12 times and no one is willing to help me. The only reason I had to rent a car is because mines was stolen. So imagine returning the rental car one whole day early and being told your deposit will be refunded in 5-10 business days only to be LIED to. They tried to blame my insurance company only to comeback and then blame my bank. I am a single mom of 2 with one of my kid's graduation coming up and having to borrow money to pay for fees but Enterprise has $600 of money and no one is willing to HELP me. Customer service is terrible here. I just got out the hospital and came to pick up my car and Pierce is so rude. I'm so use to exceptional customer service and this place here is not it . They tried to give me a dirty nasty car. I gave him my name and he was acting like he couldn't help unless I had a reservation number. I told him another representative called me and told me to come with my ID and insurance because Nationwide had already did He was talking to other associates and his concerns wasn't on me at all. Next time I will drive to a nicer and friendly location where I can be served with dignity and honor. DON'T RENT FROM THIS PLACE. Terrible experience twice. Last time I waited an hour for them to give me my car. Today I was supposed to pick up at 10 am so I came in at 11 am and gave them more time to have my car ready but it's 11:55 am and I still don't have my car. They don't answer their phones. 10 minutes ago they tried to give me a compact car when I payed for a standard. The car they tried to give me smelled like cigarette smoke. 2 of the guys that work here are nice but they are understaffed and they don't need your business because because they can't handle it. I've been faithfully renting from this location for the past 6 months. Service has definitely improved within the last 2 yrs. I no longer feel the need to drive to the dfw location to avoid unnecessary, ugly attitudes. I wish they would be more consistent with providing fully detailed vehicles. I often can't pull out of the lot without asking for something to be checked, filled or cleaned. Fair Prices EXTREMELY small customer parking lot. I advise parking in the lot next door, to easily maneuver in and out. read more

I've made a reservation with Enterprise twice in the past two weeks. First at the DeSoto location, then Waxahachie. Both times I left without a car. I made my reservation at Desoto online and received a confirmation, only to get there, wait half an hour for someone to help me, then come back and say they didn't have any cars available. How do they give a confirmation if there are no cars available? Decided to try again because my car is still in the shop, but called this time. Was assured they had plenty of cars at the Waxahacie location and we're open till 6pm. I got there at 5 and the door was locked, lights out. Later found out that the location has been closed for weeks. Shouldn't the reservation guy have known that? Wasted my time, and the people who drove me there, twice!! Never again!!! read more

I know for some people a car rental place is just a car rental place, but I must say that every time I rent from this location I am treated very well. Over the many years of driving I've unfortunately either been in an accident or two (I wish people would seriously stop texting and driving!), and each time I take advantage of my car rental option. Each time I've been shook up and deeply annoyed, but this location always manages to take the pain out of the process. They've gone above and beyond the call of duty before and even corrected problems from other locations when it came to procuring my vehicle. It is really nice to know that they will always be dependable, honest with what they can and cannot do, and are willing to go the extra mile in customer service when life has thrown a curve-ball. read more

DON'T GO HERE!!!! I called them asking about getting a new rental after mine got a flat. What I come to find out is that before ten minutes of closing time, they apparently can't help me. So there I am stranded and having to have someone drive me all the way back home (3 hour drive, was a staycation). I call this morning from the enterprise I originally returned from (not this location I'm writing about) and they tell me I should have been able to get another rental for free! I got the damage waiver and included was the extra rental! This location were unprofessional to the utmost degree. read more

Avoid this location!!! The cars are terrible. What are the odds of getting a dirty car that had stained seats and bad odor. This happened to me twice. I will never rent from this location. Worst service ever ! The place is dirty, they treat everyone like they're criminals, they ask for a utility bill, you show them online and they need the actual "paper bill" who still gets paper statements ???! I work in DeSoto but live in Dallas. I had some repair work done on my car and this was the closest rental location. The entire staff were polite, quick to greet customers and were cheerful and upbeat when dealing with other patrons. It's a neighborhood rental location, and I was impressed with their efficiency as compared to other rental car locations I've visited in the past. (They must do a lot of rentals, because there were lots of chairs in the waiting gallery.) It takes about ten minutes to get checked in before they bring your car around. Very quick! Dysfunctional Family Sevice at its worst! My car was damaged, and the insurance company arranged a rental through Enterprise. They said to call Enterprise, and that they would pick me up. I tried to call them on the Saturday of Mother's Day weekend. I spent hours on the phone listening to their recording that boasts about them being "family owned", so they can provide special services like picking you up so that you can rent their car. The message would apologize for the "short wait", and then I would hear the phone ringing until the entire scenario would start over again. This went on for hours. It finally came time for them to close. I called again the next day, and someone answered. They said that they were too short-handed to come get me. I explained that I tried calling them the day before, but no one answered the phone. He responded that they did not answer the phone, because they were too busy. He said that I should call them during the week when they have more staff, and I guess that is the time that is convenient for them! I listened to their "family" speal recording for hours. It never said that their family service meant only answering the phone when they feel like it, and pick you up when they feel like it! What a dysfunctional family! read more

I had a rent-a-car while my car was being repaired and was treated with phenomenal service despite the fact that everything was covered by insurance and I didn't pay anything out of pocket. We rented from the DeSoto location on Pleasant Run. We rented an SUV for our trip to and from Chicago. The staff are young, but they have impeccable customer service. We got a free upgrade, and we loved it! The young women and men who work there just never ceased to impress us with their professionalism. My friend rented a car and we were on our way home when a rock hit the back window and shattered it. We called enterprise at about 11:20 and we were told that someone would come to to the vehicle, and also take us where we needed to go. We waited about 1 1/2 hrs and found out that the tow person didn't have enough room to carry us, so they had to send someone else, which would take an additional hour. Long story short, we were finally told that they would not pick us up and that when they came to get the car, we would be left on the side of the road. Two women and a minor will be left on loop 12 at 2 am in the morning. This was told to us by AAA, Enterorise's tow provider. So we are presently stuck out here. read more

I had the best experience I've ever had with a car rental service. I placed the reservation Tuesday night after they had already closed with the Enterprise call center. I was a bit worried it wouldn't be ready for pick up the next day @730am (when they open). I arrived right at 730am Wednesday morning for pick up and they were ready to go. The staff was friendly. They assisted each other in a manner that showed they valued teamwork and were not condescending toward each other. Erika specifically helped me and displayed top notch customer service. The process was so swift that I made it to work earlier than I had projected. I will definitely return to this enterprise in the future. read more

3 main problems, staff would rather have you sign in then even see why you came in. Watched as ever customer was told to rate them completely satisfied. In fact one customer asked what happens if I don't? The attendant said we will come to your house! The last thing is the wait been waiting for 1:10 mins and still don't have a car! I am really confused don't fleet dealers keep spare keys? Don't calls to customer service and corporate get addressed no matter the outcome? I would not use this location nor Enterprise for that matter. My girlfriend through her job had a rental from this location. Car was returned a day early with keys left in car. Past rentals with almost every national chain, I have done this without any issue. Even Josh with corporate states its policy for each location to keep spares, local didn't have any. Based also on a business that states skip counter, some chains and other agencies even leave lock boxes and slots in doors, not always able to return at their convenience. Surprise this location very efficient lol, had no extras so wants to charge xtra $150 to get keys. Really no contract with dealer, no on-site protocol for this issue, so sad. Even corporate hadn't called us back on a open ref call to resolve issue amicably for customer. Rude office staff, and had to call corporate twice as Josh dropped call when I asked bout specific policy regarding this. Enterprise is behind the times and maybe should call themselves Allsurprise Trash Rentals Agency. POOR service due to disorganization and policy guidelines. read more

They don't answer the phones! The staff is rude & they confirm that you have a car reserved then you get there, no car. When you show them all confirmation they make you feel like it's your fault things went wrong. This was one of, if not the worst experience I have ever had renting a car. The terrible experience began with the phone call to rent. It took over an hour to get a live person to talk to. Once I did talk with someone they made two different car reservations for the same date and place. There was not a contract in the vehicle when it was dropped off at the airport for me to pick up. So if I had been in an accident or other I would have had no proof it was a rental. The fuel in the vehicle was indicating just above empty. I had the vehicle for less than 24 hours and they had no idea I had it. I tried to turn it in and they wanted to know how I got it. It took almost two hours and numerous phone calls just to get it turned in. Enterprise was not as they advertise and the people were not friendly. Good luck if you use them. read more

Maybe I just haven't ran into this problem before, and I don't know what I'm talking about. Enterprise says they are the company that picks u up, drop off too I imagine. I've never seen the commercial that says we don't drop you off on the weekends. They put me in a bind and I'm very displeased with their service. I wish I could give them a negative 1. I rented a car, noticed it was 500+ over the oil change miles. I took it back and this silly employee told me I could either wait or take the car to get the oil changed myself. I am calling the corporate office and I hope someone gets their butt handed to them. Its like me going to a restaurant and they tell me they have no more clean dishes and I can wash them myself if I want them. Oh, and the car was filthy and stinks. I am a truck driver that lives in Austin, Tx. My wife and I called customer service today at 11am and reserved a car and were told we would be picked up about 9 miles from the desoto, tx location by the representative Tyrone Alexander. We waited 2 hours, no call so we called back the same number. Spoke with Jeff, he was at the Desoto, tx location and found our reservation without a problem but they don't do pickups on saturday. I said that's interesting. Why were we not called? No worthwhile answer was given. Our business will go elsewhere. We are frequent renters and this is our second experience with enterprise. The first was fine, but this one was horendous and a waste of my valuable time off. read more
