Was told false information by someone who worked there. My car was in the shop so I needed a rental, the 3rd party insurance was kemper. Right before leaving with my rental an employee told to get CDW which is a collision damage wavier it's optional but he told me that Kemper Insurance would cover it or my insurance cover it and me stupidly believing him. I added the cdw to my week using the car but Kemper doesn't cover that so I'm stuck paying out of my pocket (its not cheap lol) and the employees just stood quiet I don't recommend this place sorry. read more

This business is ran by intellectually challenged individuals so expect mistakes to be made and changes to your reservation. They make up rules for enterprise that aren't common among the business. Wouldn't do business at this location again. read more

This is my 4th time renting from this place. Never had no problems @ all. The staff are really cool. They offered to pick me up at my house to come over and pick up the rental. ( Keep in mind it all depends, how far you live! Don't expect them to pick you up 30miles away. Lol ). Any ways the services has always been awesome, never seen a customer leave disappointed. Got to this location at 4:01pm I needed to leave and get to Anaheim by 5:30pm for an errand. An employee named EVER helped me from beginning to end but at the time I was there I guess he noticed I was a little impatient and asked me what's wrong. I told him I had an errand to do which was more like a family emergency, he did the best he could go to get me out of there.... In the end I got there just in time!!! The 2016 YELP 500, Review #159: Is another situation where I get 4 stars for a first-time interaction and 5 for a second time. I just wanted to explain myself ahead of time. When I first got to the area I did a lot of walking and exploring of the neighborhoods. My routine stops was at the shops along Firestone Boulevard. this is where this Enterprise Rent-A-Car is in Downey. I was fortunate then to deal with a gentleman named Javier. He was patient and informative even though he knew that I wasn't renting a car at that time. Well his professionalism that day is why I am a customer currently. I would deal with this location again and I would strongly recommend others to utilize this branch if you are in the area and need a car. Do understand that the airport's get priority for cars.... They are the alpha male and off-airport locations can sometimes be in kind of in a bind, due to not having a car that you may desire so you get one of my tips right here, call ahead. Only 1 star because I can't do zero. We were told to pick up our vehicles 8am. Then were told to wait and come in at 1pm. We get here check in and are told to wait in the back. Small tent tons of people waiting. We have been sitting for 1 hour and still nothing. No one saying to they'll be right with us or anything. One guy was nice enough to bring out some tiny cold waters but that's all the interaction. There is nowhere for you to park, the loop you have to drive through is completely crammed. We made friends with another client who has been waiting longer than us and her and her husband only wanted one car, ANY CAR. read more

Poor customer service, I made a reservation for a specific type of vehicle. On the phone they told me they would provide it but didn't. I asked if they could check their other locations & weren't willing to help at all. Not to mention the vehicle they did have for me was not ready at the reservation time. They still needed to clean (not disinfect), go to the car wash & put gas in it. They expected me to put gas in it for them. I had to wait 1hr for them to get the vehicle ready. It was still in poor condition inside & out. To make matters worse upon returning the guy was horribly rude & unprofessional. Don't recommend this location! read more

After some woman rear-ended my husband's beautiful car while he was in an HOV lane during rush hour, I was happy to learn she had insurance and would be 100% responsible for repairing the damages and supplying an Enterprise rental. By choice, Enterprise is not my normal car rental company. However, I was pleasantly surprised by their level of professionalism and can-do attitude at this office considering some of the underwhelming past reviews. Of course, the hubs opted for a Dodge Challenger the first week our beloved car was in the shop. The following week he returned his car for a better color match & some new trim molding, so he uncharacteristically tried out some little 2-door Fiat. Again, much to my surprise, both cars were clean inside and out. No significant damage, just a very small ding on the black Challenger. No cigarette smells or anything like that. Nada. The two ladies (Jazmine & Tamika - sp?) that I personally interacted with in person, as well as a gentleman, Jesse, and another lady that I talked to on the phone were all very courteous, efficient, and friendly. This place is hoppin', though, lemme tell ya'! It was so busy when I was there with my hubs that I was wishing it were closing time for them! Kids screaming. Phone lines ringing non-stop. A line of about 5 different parties including us waiting to be served. They all handled it very well. I have a suspicion that most of the past low reviews entailed the renter's lack of knowing and understanding Enterprise's policies and/or delivering poor communication. If you don't know, ASK & ask for it in writing so you can regurgitate it later. FYI... If you have a legitimate complaint, tell it to a supervisor. If nothing is resolved, learn how to communicate your concerns with the BBB. I find it very hard to believe that a company, like Enterprise, who is a BBB member is anything but accommodating and professional in most situations. Final note: This Enterprise works very well with Farmer's insurance group and the Firestone Auto Body Shop (also on Firestone Blvd in Downey). They all made our rental experience virtually seamless & just a couple of minor hiccups that were resolved very quickly. Review #258 read more

I had a car rental made months in advance and the day I went to pick up it was closed!!! Nobody told me about the time they closed on Saturday or called me that same day to follow up when I didn't show up at closing time!!! Not trust worthy or confiable at all!!! When I called customer service to get an answer to my problem, they solved it making another reservation at another location at Cerritos. When I called them to tell them I was on my way, they tell me they don't have a car for me!!! Worst experience ever! read more

I tried to drop off a car I rented at another location but was told their lot was full so I needed to drop off the car where I picked it up from originally or they would file an insurance claim for scratches that were already on the rental. I understand they were feeling overwhelmed with people dropping of a lot of cars at their location but threatening to file to take more money from a paying customer left me feeling regretful on choosing to rent from enterprise. I can only imagine what other tactics they use to price gouge their customers. read more

I rented a car for 14 days from ENTERPRISE RENT-A-CAR At 7651 FIRESTONE BLVD, DOWNEY, CA 902414205 (562) 928-0388 for 14 days. My weekly (7 days) rental was $146.29 which is $20.89 per day. So I returned the car 4 days early washed/cleaned and with 2 extra gallons of gas. Well Enterprise Rent A Car are ripping me off and stealing my money. They don't want to refund me for the 4 days I did not used the car and decided to bill me the last 4 days at $30 for an economic Car. They don't mention or disclosed anything in the agreement. I will have my lawyer get on this case and review it for possible litigation. People don't rent from Enterprise Rent A Car because they are thief's. read more

The service is great and fast. HOWEVER, during this pandemic I was outside watching the crew clean the cars. The cars are not being sanitized or disinfected at all before they are released to the next customer. These cars are in and out of the lot and many people are touching the interior of the car. They don't nickel and dime you on the gas. The manger is really sweet. She heard I was going to call an uber to take me home, and they offered to drop me off at my house. I do live in Downey. (2nd time renting from them). Jerry is awesome along with the rest of the staff, including the manager. You really do feel they have your best interest. The customer service at this location is superb. I don't write reviews often but this location did a great job at helping me find the right car for my insurance claim. I have rented 3 cars from this location. They can be quite flexible when it comes to insurance claims. I will definitely continue to use this location. read more

Made a reservation online and I show up with my Confirmed reservation only to find out they claim to have no cars available. No attempt was made to contact me to resolve this or let me know the issue. They wait for you to show up before they pull up the reservation info. Online scheduling is pretty much useless. read more

If I could give ZERO Stars I would. The manager Saheidy is very rude and disrespectful. I don't recommend this location. There's a better Enterprise location down the street from it. We set a reservation To pay only $180 + $200 refundable deposit and the manager tried to charge us $600 in total $105 a day for one car after we already got a reservation. RIDICULOUS! She tried to make commission from our rental. On top of that we waited nearly 2 hours to even take off with the rental. Luckily we got in contact with corporate and they fixed situation.
