Enter Brooke. Despite clearly juggling multiple responsibilities at once--like some sort of customer service octopus--she took the initiative to approach me and ask if I needed assistance. No prompting, no dramatic sighing, no passive avoidance. Just... help. Immediate, efficient, and refreshingly (that's "human," for those less multilingual). She proceeded to handle my return seamlessly, closing out the order with the kind of competence that makes you briefly consider writing a thank-you email... or, in this case, a Yelp review.
