Do not rent from Enterprise I would give them Negative stars if I could -5 stars. I reserved a 15 passenger van on May 8th, a month and a half before my daughters 16th birthday beach celebration June 13th. The rep called us at 2 pm June 12th, to tell us that the van we reserved wasn't available, we leave at 10am the next morning. Why? well 1st they said the system had overbooked, then they said several were out for repair, lastly, they said that they called me as soon as they knew. to add insult I called to confirm on the 8th, no mention of availability issues. The manager then said I'm sorry several times your not the only one (meaning, good luck finding something). I called customer service 3 times and the escalation department 3 times did 2 surveys and the best they could do was to tell me there wasn't anything in a 30 mile radius BTW no one called me back after asking for my name, number and email. After 3 hours in the branch (I had to go there directly) they offered me a 12 passenger van. What about the other 3 people? Sorry says the manager. I asked for a 5 passenger vehicle in addition "we don't have anything available, there is a time issue, we can get you another vehicle at 5 pm. We leave at 10 in the morning. Did you just ask me to postpone my trip until you could get me a 2nd vehicle? While waiting on the phone for the escalation dept. the manager went out to have a smoke break. I had to work out the issue myself take a smaller van and ask another parent to drive my personal car for me. BTW while I was there two people walked in and got vans and SUVs in place of their 15 passenger vans. The escalation dept told me we have documented a complaint. WOW what help they were. end result: cancelled reservation with really short notice, no alternatives in place for their mistake, i had to solve the problem myself, had to ask for a different vehicle, had to drive my personal car to take the remaining people on the trip, and Customer Service and the Escalation Department have not contacted me yet on the mistake that they made. Not my first experience with Enterprise but definitely my last. Began online for the Hillsborough Road location where there was a very nice selection available - 17 vehicles including compacts, suvs, high-end sedans, vans, trucks, and even a 15-passenger van. I called what was listed as the local number and after I gave all the information and said 'We'll be there in about 30 minutes', we arrived to learn there wasn't a single vehicle available - of any type. I asked 'how can that be? I just talked to her!' and I learned I was talking to a lady in the call center in California so she didn't know they had no cars. What should have happened is after I entered my dates, I should have been informed on the website that nothing was available. That would have been disappointing, yes, but I would not have hesitated to call Enterprise the next time. But after I was misled and lost over an hour, I will not be returning. read more

Not enough cars available, so often people have to wait an hour or more to get a car. On top of that I got overcharged. This place does not seem to have it together :( read more

Such a fantastic experience with this trip. $76 bucks for 4.5 days with a minivan. No tricks, no problems. I didn't realize when I made the reservation that it had an extra daily charge on it and when I explained when I returned it that I never wanted it, they just removed it. So surprisingly easy. My wife had a horrific experience with Enterprise today. She rented a car for 2 days and barely drove it for 50 miles - used it to just drop off and pick up our son from school and a round-trip (barely 30 minutes) to work. On returning it, she was horrified when told that there was a dent on the car! It was so incredulous to her that she thought the Enterprise attendant was joking. What we believe happened was that an attendant there had failed to record the dent caused by a previous person who rented the car. Suffice it to say that they had to pin the blame on someone and my wife was the unsuspecting victim. My advice is for anyone looking to rent from them should diligently check the body of the car to ensure that any dent (however small it is) is recorded and accounted for, to protect yourself. The company obviously has a great track record - however one of the staff on this occasion was unscrupulous. read more

the rental car I had was dirty in the inside also it had very dark tint on the back window making it hard to see out of at night....also the customer service was the worst never again ! read more

Until the (young boy) managing this location receives more training in customer approach, respect, just common courtesy or he becomes matured, please do not even think of renting here. I had requested for a pickup while at the mechanics, the guy that was supposed to pick me up called, but I had informed them that I had no battery life left and that If they called, my phone will go to voice mail but that I am waiting for them. I waited 1.5 hrs, no one showed up. I eventually went to find a charger and saw that the guy "said he came" from his voice mail. I was waiting outside of the mechanic shop the whole time and no one came. After my phone was charged, I called back to say no one came and that 'am still waiting. They said "we can't come back". I said, I need a ride and they eventually agreed to come. They never came, another 1.5 hrs passed, no show, no call and they ensured that I had battery life this time. I had to have my mechanic drop me off, the distance was about 5 miles. When I arrived at the counter, they guy that started assisting pulled up my information and asked if I had called earlier. I categorically said, I didn't want to discuss the event as I was really upset. He then went to this young boy (manger), who came shaking his head and twisting left and right, maybe he has a condition not sure or just so proud and pompous. He asked me what happened and I said I didn't want to discuss it. He kept pestering and pestering. You will assume he was asking to resolve the problem. I told him how disappointed i was and their absence of customer service, my waiting, with a no-show, no-call. I felt that they never expected I will come there and they would have to face me because of their service. etc. He took me outside, directing me like you will do to a little child, "come here". This is a 26-27 year old boy, my youngest sibling is 32 years old and will never ever talk to an adult like that, talk-less of a customer. I have rented severally with enterprise and this is just a bad egg. I re-explained the events and he's like you can never rent from enterprise again and I will make sure it happens. You have to find another rental company - I said I made my way here and this is the best way to rectify the issue and what was the purpose of you asking me if you weren't going to rectify the situation. He insisted someone take me and another client back home. Even the way he talks to his co-workers is very demeaning. The boy needs to be retrained. He even lied to say that he owns 2 more branches, but he doesn't own any. He is just a manager hired two weeks ago for that branch. I went to another branch in chapel hill and the service was excellent. The boy's name is Briggs Labban - he needs retraining in respect and customer service. read more

I never write reviews but this was one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had. After contacting enterprise customer support like they requested they said that they would have their local office get in touch with me, one week passed and they still had not so I messaged them again. This time some one from the local office gave me a call the next day but only send me a picture of a gps that happened to not be mine, he then stated he would get back to me the next day, and never did. I finally returned my car that was fully paid for by insurance for as long as I had it upon which they wanted to charge me $ 80 and did not make it clear why I refused to pay and had to spend another hour on the phone with the insurance company concerning that yes I do not have to pay anything. I then had to call back enterprise and explain everything to them upon which they said they would give me a call back and never did. I have rented from Enterprise three times in the last six months. I have not always been a fan of this car rental agency but that has changed in these past few months. Perhaps it is based on my understanding of what is expected from me as a customer along with an improvement in the efficiency and professionalism from their staff. My reservations have been handled quickly and well. I even voiced what some of my past concerns with Enterprise had been and felt that they were heard. I understood when they double checked my car insurance when I refused their coverage..the roads were slick with ice and snow.. accidents waiting to happen!! Their cars clearly indicate no smoking allowed yet renters smoke in the cars. I am sure they clean them the best they can but we ALL know how hard lingering cigarette smoke is to remove. Besides if you ask, they will provide another vehicle if you request it and it is available. I am not here to change anyone's mind about their own personal experience with Enterprise, I just feel it is important for people to also know their are and can be some customers who have a satisfactory experience with the agency. Of note, I have rented from other car rental agencies, particularly from airport locations, and had both good and bad experiences. read more
