He was absolutely fantastic and personable. He even provided me with a cell in case I was running behind Saturday on my return. I waited about 15 minutes that night through the line. I was supposed to have a Chevy Malibu and was upgraded (complimentary) to a Mazda CX-50. Car had 23,000 miles and was in decent shape. I put almost 500 miles on that car over the 23 hours. No issues with the car. Car return was a breeze. Fast/efficient. I wish all car rental experiences were like this.

I picked up my car without having to go to the counter early in the morning in Minneapolis and I just went straight out to the garage. That was a nice touch. I took a video of the outside of the car with my phone, noting any blemishes marks or dings as I didn't want to be charged for them when I brought the car back , I highly recommend using your phone camera to video the car. Then when you return it, you can show them what you took when you were there, renting it. I really appreciate Sean helping me at the gate. He checked my license and my registration number to make sure I have the right kind of car. And he even left the booth to come around to the car to help me connect my Bluetooth with the digital computer system , it wasn't hard. It was just tricky understanding the system in the car. For instance, I would've thought it was connected to the entertainment section, but it was actually through the communication category in the computer system in the car. Upon returning the car, I met up with Tony who was nice and personable asking me questions about my trip instead of just seeing me as another renter. It made me feel at ease that I was in the right place. Driving in was kind of confusing in that garage. It's dark inside the garage and I've never been there before. I showed him my concern since the car was brand new, with the console in the middle between the seats in the front because it seemed like a piece was missing. The car had very low miles, and I'm sure whoever put the car together at the factory forgot the piece. Anyways I showed it to him and he said he would get it taken care of and I wouldn't be charged for it. It was like that when I rented it but I didn't and discover it until I was hundreds of miles away during my trip. I must say I drive a Tacoma pick up in my daily driving, and this car was a lot of fun to drive. It was the smaller version of the larger CX30, and newer and it looked really good on the inside and outside. Classy! The only thing I didn't like about it was it seem like it didn't have a very big gas tank, and I was filling it up often on my trip up to Lake superior to the North Shore and through the town of grand Marais. All in all I was pleased with Alamo, especially the exceptional customer service of Sean at the checkout gate on July 3rd and the very helpful return service with Tony. From Arizona, first time to Minneapolis and renting a car on my own and driving up to Duluth, and then all the way up to grand Maras, on the North Shore of Lake superior, I trusted Alamo and felt like I was in good hands using that car. And that car took very good care of me!

Absolute worst rental experience we've ever had was with this particular Sixt. Specifically the manager Tori was the rudest most unprofessional person I've ever worded with. She left dozens of ppl stranded with no rentals after giving away all the reversed rentals. Causing dozens of people to be stranded at the Sixt airport at 1am. Her entire staff was disrespectful to every single customer. She made my children cry and left elderly handicapped people and small children stranded in an airport and told them she didn't care. Spoke down to them and belittled them. I hope she is never allowed to treat people this way again and something is done about her and her employees callus attitude. after reading more reviews it seems this is an on going issue and Sixt has allowed this disgusting behavior from their employees. Stop all the extra fees and renting people a car but when they get to the rental station up sale them and charge more money. Rental cars in Sixt is a scam! Horrible customer service. Had a car confirmed and then they said it wasn't available when I arrived but they conveniently had another available for just $100 more. They have a 1 rating for a reason. Employees could care less here.

I know for sure I was not the one to cause the damage, but had no way to prove it. Either way $650 is ridiculous to fix a rim. I sent it through insurance and still had to pay $225 out of pocket for their admin fees. For sure won't rent here again womp womp 0/10 If you read this review and still decide to rent from them...take photos of the car once you rent it! Would've saved me a lot.

Expedia bookings are weird sometimes but they were nice at the desk considering it was Christmas But you should not need to run around between 2 terminals to get things done. But when we came back to return the car at Teminal one, I left my laptop in that car on the 27th around 6:00 p.m. and they went above and beyond! So needless to say it is o.k. in hindsight I had to do some gyrations when we arrived. My amazing husband went and got it and walked from Terminal two to go and get it, but the crew there at Thrifty/Hertz Terminal One were so awesome and fast I just cannot thank you enough! Because of their patience and kindness and willingness to look for this right away and we did not miss our flight because of it, I will do my business with them from here on out because of their fast attention. Thank you to whoever helped this husbands wife on Dec 27, 2017 with her new laptop that was left in the back of the Infiniti that was indeed a huge gift! I made the reservation weeks ago and selected "Manager's Selection" before I knew it would be snowing when I arrived in April. Upon arrival, they insisted on trying to upcharge me $60+ for an AWD vehicle even though their own website and others were suggesting SUV rentals would be less expensive than what I was originally charged. Most rental car companies would insist on upgrading me after selecting "Manager's Selection" when snow was newly on the forecast and AWD vehicles were on hand. The manager proceeded to argue with me by saying that I could book online but I'd have to wait hours for my new reservation to come through their system! She also consistently lied to me saying that the price online was actually more expensive than what I paid. I eventually booked online elsewhere and saved $100 but had to shuttle back to the airport. Will never rent here again.

Then I had to take the escalator all the way to 4th floor since they were closing the first floor counter. They refused to rent to me after putting a $500 hold on my debit card (and then wanted even more money). I have never heard of such a scam. Now I'm trying to get my money back from Priceline. I already puke every time I see a Hertz commercial with Tom Brady but now I know I'll NEVER EVER rent with Hertz and will make sure everyone I know never gives Hertz any money.

I reserved a van 3 weeks prior to moving furniture from Minnesota to Florida thinking it would be more comfortable and easier to drive than a box truck. Plenty of time to make sure what was reserved was available or provide me with other options prior to picking up the vehicle. The van was approximately $500 more expensive. An expense I was willing to take on to have a more comfortable drive. When I picked up the vehicle they were out of vans but stated the box truck was bigger and drove similar to the van. I questioned the difference in the cost and was told I would have to call headquarters as there was nothing they could do about the difference. I had pictures from the website showing the difference in both prices. There was very little instruction on how to use the van. I didn't even think about not being able to see from the rear view mirror. No cruise control, very little head room and little to no ability to change the seat settings. I immediately contacted customer service and they said I needed to send an email. I did. The response was we can't do anything until you turn in the vehicle. Once I dropped off the vehicle in Florida, I was told there was nothing they could do and that the place I picked up the vehicle should have helped me. I responded to the email again and expressed my concerns and was given the runaround again. No one was accountable for helping their customers they were only worried about padding their pocketbooks. Beware of this scam company!

    I regret for the decision of renting Budget truck rather than Uhaul. I just needed a truck to get…read moremy mattress from the same city so thought of go for the cheapest one. When compared with Uhaul, I found this one is little cheaper. The lady at the counter (Amanda, I believe) was nice. She did the paper works quickly and handed over the keys. Before I started my trip, I checked the odometer and the mileage was 69450. When I cross checked it with the paper, the 'mileage-out' was written as 69486. That means 36miles more than in the odometer. I was in hurry and thought would tell it when I return the vehicle. I was supposed to return the vehicle next day 10:00 AM and for safer side I returned it at 9:25AM. Amanda took care of the mileage error and I happily left the office. I was expecting a charge of $27-$29 on my credit card since I wasn't sure about the tax. Two days later, I found that my card has been charged as $54!!! That means twice the original amount. I called the customer care and I got connected to an agent 'Cristina'. She checked and told me that its a fee for late return. According to her, I was 1hr late and returned the vehicle at 11:15am only instead of 10:00am. When I told that I'm sure about the timings and all, she contacted Amanda and said what she can do it will refund $18. I asked her its around $24, not $18 and about the rest of the money? She said that its not possible and she raised her voice. She was not listening to me at all. She said she doesn't want to argue and I replied I'm just asking for the explanation of the extra charges. So I told her to connect to me her supervisior. She said "Okay" in a rude voice and put me on hold for a long time. Then no one picked the call and it got dropped. I called them again and this time I got "Matt". He was good and got connected me to the supervisor right away. I explained my situation and she said I will be charged only $30 and rest of the money, $24 will be refunded. I could have avoided this whole mess if I went ahead with U-HAUL. Tried to save some dollars and got an headache which I priced me way over than what I saved. And "Cristina", the worst agent I ever spoke. Doesn't have the qualities to properly communicate with a customer. I wonder, who hired her for this job.
