They require way more information then any rental place , a pay stub and valid utility bill , like I'm here renting a car not buying one. Excellent customer service. After picking a large SUV up at Enterprise LAX, we experienced transmission and brake issues. It took 4 days and several calls to RA, service Mgmt, and multiple branch stores who either politely offered us a midsize sedan for a family of 5 (for the same price!)on a 3 week road trip, or said they couldn't help. I even tweeted at Enterprise, and though their social media guy responded quickly, it took 2 days before someone followed up. Long story short, it took Emily and the rest of the friendly staff in Eureka 6 minutes to show some legitimate concern and work to solve our problem. Well done! I have rented from enterprise and always have a great experience. They may not always have the car I want but they are pretty good at working with me. The staff is friendly and the manager is hands on. My best experience was when I needed to take my car in to get fixed and they picked me up from the repair shop and got me set with a rental. A few months ago when I needed my car to be repaired I was set up with a rental car by my insurance company. I would say that this place is not only professional but they are also accommodating in terms of their rental policies. I was 20 at the time that I needed to rent the car, and typically you need to be over 21 or so to rent a car, however; they were flexible with my needs to rent the car and they helped with all of the necessary paperwork. The main person who worked with me when I rented my car was Will, he was polite, funny, and professional. I would definitely rent from here again if I ever need to. The car I received was a cute yellow KIA with all kinds of modern features such as Bluetooth, steering wheel controls, and heated seats. I was so happy with my car and their gas rules, seeing as I brought the car back and I forgot to fill it up and they let me go fill it up before I officially turned it in to avoid fees. I was happy with all of their services and pricing. I would recommend this place to all of my friends and anyone who needs help with renting a car. read more

I was pleased with our first experience. We needed a car for a relatively long trip as my truck had some issues. I was worried about the cost, though. We had to leave on Sunday and they were closed Sunday, plus, when we'd be returning on Monday it would be after they were closed. I figured that meant Tuesday which meant four days instead of the two days we actually needed. The friendly girl on the other end of the phone told me it would only be three days if I picked it up around 2pm on Saturday and had it back before 2pm Tuesday. Saved us one day, anyway. They rent on a 24 hour schedule, rather than by days, it seems. Don't expect them to provide the car you may have asked for as they can only rent out what they have available. I expected that. When we went to pick up our car they gave us a slightly larger car than I'd asked for but charged us as if we rented the lower priced one. Fair enough. We were out of their lot with the car in fifteen minutes or less. When we came back I'd topped off the gas beforehand. The gal came out, did a very brief inspection including checking the mileage and gas level, gave me a receipt and that was it. They charged a $200 security deposit on my credit card before we left. Once the car was back and found to be in good enough shape, they removed that charge and only charged me the price for the rental and an insurance rider I elected to pay. I was satisfied and will use them again. Just be sure and make a reservation if possible. There were a couple guys in their office when we went in to pick up our car that seemed to have just walked in. They could only stand there and wait to see what cars might be available. I've almost always had great experiences with Enterprise nationwide, but this location is my new favorite. Everyone I spoke with before, during and after the rental was very friendly and helpful, and had quick answers to any questions I had. The location is convenient, with plenty of street parking nearby if needed. The minivan I rented was in great condition, as were the other vehicles I saw on the lot. Dillon is very unfriendly doesn't seem to like his job or people. Major blackout and problem with my card and renting. Was polite and understanding asked him if I could charge my dying phone in a car he declined and put me out in the street like trash instead of helping a confused customer out in a major time of need. Horrible. I returned my car. Had rented from a different city. And they said everything was taken care of. Get a phone call from the location I rented seeing where their car was. I stated that I already turned it in to eureka and she had me on hold for a good 10 min. She later got back on the phone saying that this branch never told them my car was already returned and they were going to be billing my card again for another day. I called them to ask if they would have any cars available that day since I had broken down about 185 miles from my destination. They said they were not sure and could they call me back. No return call. Pretty frustrating when you are trying to figure out what to do. Also, "We Pick You Up" has fine print... but I guess that shouldn't be too surprising. My boyfriend and I were going to go to a concert at Medford so I convinced him to rent a car from Enterprise. My family and I have always rented from them in So Cal so I thought why not? It was a company where I have always been satisfied and at a great price. I booked online about 3 weeks in advance and on the day we went to pick up a car they didn't have it! Also they wanted us to take a pick up car and charge us full price! When I called to explain that we had reserve it 3 weeks beforehand and that we did not want a pick up, the worker was very rude and insulted me and treated me like I was an idiot and ignorant because I was female!!!! He didn't give me his name and when we went to the place, they just had a compact pull in. Fortunately we had a female worker and she treated up much better and for the worker, he was lucky the manager was not there! I have plenty of dollars in my bank account and just quit my job because I am going to relocate from the area and needed to rent a car to scope a few places out. Enterprise would not rent to me because I was currently unemployed and because my present vehicle did not have full coverage. Then they told me that Hertz which was next door did a credit check before they rented. I went to Hertz and they did no credit check or anything else for that matter. They let me take whatever car I wanted and I paid for their services and was out of there. They were not rude either like Enterprise. read more

Enterprise in general is a horrible business. This location is especially plebeian. They don't know what cars they have, the yelp information is all wrong as well, especially concerning their hours. They rudely answer phones while you are there in person, leaving you standing there for hours on end. Went in this morning and I was assigned to a gray/blue mazda and it smelled unbearably. The smell was of wet dog and as I looked around you could tell the car had not been vacuumed or cleaned. I reported to the rude lady in the front desk that i am highly allergic to pet dander and she gave me two options, one is paying more to receive a different car or two driving in the nasty car all the way to Arcata to receive a different car. Ended up with another car that didn't smell but STILL had hair. Called corporate and I am definitely looking forward to hear back from them today. read more

MucH MUCH better service and attitude than previous 2 rentals. Enterprise left my husband and I a message on here, I was through with them after shitty service last 2 times, so he dealt with them. He spoke with the district manager, ken, who he said was very nice. I wasn't there for the conversations that went on, so I can't speak for that. We did have a scare though. We called about 2 hours before our reservation just to make sure they would have a car, especially after our last rental on 8/1, and were told they were out of cars. I didn't speak with him this call, but was told that they "hope" to get some in before our reservation. We were so annoyed and pissed, thinking oh god here we go again, all we could do was cuss and laugh. I was ready for a fight, so I did call back at 4:30...man I was ready to be an asshole lol. The VERY nice lady said yes, they just got some cars in and we were very welcome to come in early. When we walked in we were greeted by 2 of the 3 that were there, one was on phone. The lady that helped us (Alexa? Alexia? Sorry, forgot her name) was wonderful. She was friendly unlike the bitchy asses that were there previous 2 time. She was great! 5 stars in my book for the concern ken took, total staffing change to seemingly great people compared to before, ken making it up for previous hellish experiences, and they brought me home without hesitation. This office has been very helpful during our current trip. First we rented a car at San Francisco, CA and drove to Oregon. The van we rented was not large enough to accommodate all of our family members so we made arrangements to pick up a larger van by returning to Eureka, CA. We were treated with such kindness and fairness we expected a hassle but there was no such thing. When we returned a few days later to rent a second car, again we were treated kindly and fairly. Never renting from Enterprise again. I've never dealt with a less professional business. I reserved a car days in advance, for a certain amount (I even triple checked with the employee about how much I would need in my account, since they won't take cash) only to have them add on $200 for the deposit after handing them my card. By the time I ran to the bank and back, I was told they ran out of cars (within the less than 30 minutes I had been gone) and made me wait almost an hour for them to retrieve one from the next town over. No apologies were made on their part for neglecting to tell me the deposit OR for not having a car even though I had reserved one and they knew I would be right back. They took customers without reservations and gave them the cars. The disgustingly overweight employee who couldn't do his job is named Matthew, I believe. If you have to rent from here, at the very least, try not to deal with him. read more

I did have quite a long wait for a ride back to the autobody shop after I dropped the car off... and that driver.. while friendly.. blasted the heat in the car the whole time... HORRIBLE. I dealt with Travis to reserve and the service started out great until I told him we didn't need to purchase insurance through them because our insurance covers rentals. A few days later I called and had questions about returning which is when I found out it had been booked all wrong and we were only povided partial information. When we were on hold the enterprise recording came on and said "At Enterprise, we'll pick you up." So I mentioned it to the girl, I believe her name was Brittany, and she said she doesn't pick up in our town (only another ten minutes away) unless it is set up in advance (this conversation was happening a week in advance of reservation.
