Benny explained everything about their process. It was an amazing experience! When I returned the car back to the same location, Benny was there to take it back, very smooth transition. I have rented multiple times at this Enterprise location and have always had smooth transactions. This time, I rented a Hyundai Santa Fe and it was a great rental. Brian, our attendant, did a fabulous job at explaining every aspect of the rental, ensuring that we were 100% satisfied, and got us on the road in a very quick time frame. Upon returning the rental, Brian was just as quick and  professional from pickup to drop off. I really enjoy how everything is handled on a tablet. That saves a tremendous amount of time and makes the business transaction cleaner and more accurate. Got a Car all covered in snow had to clean it myself. Was told I would be reimbursed for gas because they left me on Empty which they never did. The person giving you the car tells you nothing just sign here here and here. I was told I would get a full reimbursement of the 150 dollars I gave them which they gave me 40 dollars back. It's now been over a week in which I was promised the remaining balance from Geico and Enterprise and still nothing. Today was my 3rd time calling which I find distasteful. I needed a rental while my car was in the auto body shop. A friend of mine recommended this Enterprise location. For the most part, my experience with them was good. Initially, there was a half hour delay in picking me up at the auto body shop, but the driver who eventually came was very polite and pleasant. The rest of the process went very smoothly and on returning the vehicle I was taken back to where my car was with no delays. Every employee that I encountered in the car and in the office was professional and nice to deal with. I would definitely use them again should I need another rental. read more

Eric, the manager is a horror Enterprise in Hackensack is a nightmare!! I haven't rent with them in months and they keep charging me! They ripped me off, kept taking my deposits and not returning them charging on my charge without me knowing and with me not there and also give me a car that oil had to be changed for three months and never changing it. extremely rude, arrogant, disrespectful, I am not the only one read all their reviews of what they do to people. So I've been renting a car here for about a month I go to return it at a Inglewood location. Just seeing if I could return the vehicle there two days prior to me having to return the vehicle. As I got there on Monday during the snowstorm, Pat the manager. Comes walking towards me aggressively as I'm trying to pull in the driveway and said back up I'm shoveling with an aggressive tone. I said calm down. He said you're coming over here with an attitude as a manager you don't speak to any customer like that, he then proceeds to approach me more and this is a hefty man in his 30s. I am a 21-year-old girl. I told him if he continues to step to me aggressively I will pepper spray you. Keep in mind a pepper spray is not illegal in the state of New Jersey. He then proceeds to call me a bitch and speak about my mother in badly manner. I then get a call from Eric at the Hackensack location and tells me to return my vehicle because I cannot threaten to pepper spray anybody and he doesn't want to hear my side. So this is not what I'm paying $300 a week for to deal with disrespectful managers who think that they're above everybody and clearly both stores have bad reviews so I know I'm not the first I'm waiting on a call from Sarah, the manager who runs both locations and I will be speaking with corporate. Had rented an SUV from National at the airport. The tire pressure sensor light came on and I wanted to check it out, but didn't want to drive that distance. This Enterprise in Hackensack was close, and knowing that National and Enterprise merged, I took a chance and pulled in. Went into the office and waited my turn to ask if they would be willing to check out the tire pressure, and within a few minutes the manager was filling up my wheels. Even in the chaos of shuffling cars around the parking lot and customers in the office, the employees were calm and friendly. Ready to help. If only all locations were as accommodating. Traffic is bad in Jersey but after waiting ten minutes past my pick up I called to inquire. They confirmed they had my booking and put me on hold to see who would pick me up. The call was then dropped instead of being placed on hold, when I called back a female answered and had a very poor attitude toward me stating they do not do pick ups for where I was from. I was then placed on hold for 16 minutes. When I tried to call back, no answer and still on hold waiting for someone to pick up the phone. I am now waiting for an hour with more waiting to come before someone picks me up. They've "scheduled an Uber" to get me and take me to the branch but did not provide a pick up time. I am going to miss an appointment I have due to their lack of competence. It's impossible to claw back the money that enterprise took from me. Hours of phone calls, numerous emails, submission of ez pass receipts and a web of confusion. The Hackensack location on E Anderson St needs to reevaluate who they select for their management. It seems this ASM still has not been terminated. On Saturday, February 1, 2020: Michelle Cadena, an Assistant Manager at this location, refused to rent a car to my friend without any plausible cause, blatantly lied on him, and she escalated the situation further by calling Hackensack police on him. Moments before Michelle Cadena called the police, she threatened my friend that she will call the police. She lied on my friend saying he was belligerent. Even when the Hackensack police arrived, they knew my friend was innocent and even commented this Assistant Manager escalates and calls them unnecessarily often. I have been using Enterprise rental car for over couple of decades and never had any issues with the company before this last experience at their Hackensack, NJ location. So, I reserved a car via internet - got an email confirmation and everything appeared to look good but upon arriving at the Enterprise facility, I was told by a rude rep that they are not able to honor my reservation and that they do not have any cars available to rent. I looked around and noticed the lot was full of cars and I, therefore, asked for the manager to discuss this issue; somehow, me asking for the manager triggered something inside that sales rep and he aggressively suggested 'he is the manager' and told me harshly to 'get out of the facility'. No, I was not told that I should leave the facility; he actually shouted at me twice to 'get out'. I could not believe my ears as I have never heard those words utter by any sales rep for anyone before. I felt threatened and contacted the Enterprise central customer care the same day but so far there has not been any movement. Working as a rep in a car rental company is a service and there should be zero tolerance for such aggressive and volatile individual. This short coming on Enterprise part caused me to not only to cancel my vacation plans but also I & my family had to put up with intimidation, aggression & insult. I would out ZERO stars if I could. I totaled my vehicle at 12 am and was at enterprise by 8 am later that morning. My INSURANCE Company made all of the arrangements. I get the car and there is no discussion of there personal insurance they offer. I was frazzled, distraught, and stressed due to the accident. I immediately had to driven home to VA for work. I signed the documents on the ipad per instructed and was not aware that I was signing for ADDITIONAL insurance. Why would I need insurance when my insurance provider is who booked the car for me? The guy capitalized on the fact that I was incredibly stressed and running on no sleep. I needed to extend the vehicle past the time frame that Geico setup for me. When I called to let them know I was extending the car and asked for the balance, they did not inform me of the insurance charge, this was day 4. It would have been addressed right then and there instead of on day 22. When I returned the car at DCA airport I was notified that I had a balance due for the additional insurance i purchased. An incredibly high balance at that. I Informed him GEICO Booked the vehicle and I didn't purchase additional insurance. I didn't recall being told about said insurance being added. Luckily the airport enterprise team was very understanding, and told me to call the location. I called the next day, and the person spoke to said I was trying to get out of paying my bill and had the audacity to insinuate i was trying to scam. I am executive elite with national car rental. I rent vehicles all the time. It's not about the money. It's the fact that I was treated with such disrespect. He rushed me off the phone and NEVER BOTHERED TO CALL ME BACK. A lower priced location may not be able to pick you up due to corporate imposed geographical constraints that force you to use more expensive locations. Here's my results for a 3-day rental. A compact class vehicle from Lodi is $41.62 per day. (For only $1.01 more you can upgrade two classes to intermediate!) The same compact class vehicle from Hackensack is $85.78 per day. That's $44.16 per day more for a compact class vehicle than the Lodi location. Play it smart and take an Uber/Lyft or have a friend/family member take you to (and pick you up at) a cheaper location. An Uber/Lyft ride will save you plenty on a three day rental. read more

Enterprise was my go to place to get a car rental place to a don't even go to the webpage for prices !!!! I'm disgusted and and I feel that I got rip-off with charges and fees.... After I rented the car I starting noticing multiple charges to my credit car for the amount of the rental, when I say multiple I say one every other day for at least $250usd. Then they call me to come in with the vehicle because there is some paper work that I need to sing, well I came in into the Hackensack location where I pick up the car to have one of the associates to tell me that I have to swap the car for maintenance with is understandable. I agree to the swap and I moved my belonging from the vehicle. I procede to talk to saun which he was the rep that was helping me. And I ask him about the billing situation which he only said it charges taxes and fees.on that moment I decided to removed the insurance that they provide for $23 usd Then after that lil swap of cars the charge me for the new vehicle $780usd and I ask him why ! I'm not returning the car and I continuing with the same reservation that I have. His response was don't worry this is regular procedure.. the same day couple hours after I left the charge with another $169 usd And I been calling the customer support line and I'm just getting the run around from managers to district managers waiting for calls backs they they never do !! I came to this Enterprise location because I had a fender bender with my car.. actually because of icy roads, I hit my wife's car, so I needed a rental that was covered by Geico for a few weeks for the damage to be repaired. I came in on a Tuesday and spoke with Nana, the supervisor.. I booked an intermediate and I said, "Oh man, I'd love to have that mustang convertible for a few weeks." Nana said "You want it, you got it.. for the same price too. Nana even said that I can have the car for both claims, I just have to return it and re-rent it. I saw a few dings and scratches on the car and Nana said, "As long as its smaller than a golf ball on the body, you're fine." So I drove the car and had a ton of fun. A few days into it I thought that the car smelled like a sandwich.. I even said to my son, "Wow, when it's hot, it smells like an Italian Sandwich." Five days into the 2 and a half week rental I opened the trunk and low and behold, there was a meatball parm. I was mortified to see this; not only because it was there, but because if they're leaving these things in the car, how much are they actually cleaning. My guess is nothing. It was time for me to return the car for one claim and rent for the next and I got Linda. Here in lies the problem. She was very pushy, and she was telling the manager that she won't rent the car to me because it was at it's end of life for Enterprise. Nana said, I will just override it. And Linda wouldn't listen and argued with Nana. Nana said to just put it in for customer satisfaction because of the meatball parm incident, and Linda proceeded to roll her eyes and just did what her boss told her. I drove the car for another week and a half and finally I had to return the car. Again Linda walked out and went over the car with a fine tooth comb. She pointed out scratches and a dent that was on the bumper that was there previously. I asked if there was a problem and she blamed me for the dent. She got a second opinion and then a third because she wouldn't believe me. I ended up saying to her that I didn't like her and I didn't want to go there just for the fact that she was going to be there. And she explained that she had to protect the company's assets. I am not going to be the fool that is going to pay to protect the company's assets. Needless to say, Linda didn't charge me for the dent that I didn't do, and for a mere $200, I learned a lesson; I will never return to this location again. I am an Enterprise Plus member. On March 24th I made a car rental reservation for an economy vehicle for a 4 day trip. I called the Enterprise on Anderson Ave. on March 25th and spoke with Adam to confirm my rental and vehicle size, I was told that I am good to go, just need to bring my CC on rental day which was March 26th. On the 26th I get a pick up from Glen on a pick up truck, we arrive at Enterprise and while he's processing my CC and ID for my rental, he tells me that the pick up truck is ready and that it will be US$55.00 per day, I told him that when I booked on-line I chose an economy vehicle for US$16.00 per day. He tells me that although they do have my reservation, it doesn't show the vehicle class that I picked on-line and they do not have my economy vehicle available, he will rent me instead an Altima for US$35.00 per day. I showed him my confirmation email, which states the rate and vehicle class, he insisted on the Altima for $35.00 per day. I expected him or Adam to allow me to rent the Altima for the rate that I had on my reservation (US$16.00 per/day) because they messed up on my rental, however they did not do that, and I left disgusted, disappointed and extremely upset. I call Enterprise customer service and I get the run-around, transferring me all over. I hung up and went with Hertz instead, they were 1/2 a mile away, Hertz gave me a Nissan Versa for US$18.00 per/day on the spot. Lesson learned: Never, ever rent from Enterprise! Go to Hertz instead. If i could give Enterprise 0 stars, i would. Probably one of the worst experiences ever. When I rented the car, we did the whole walk around of the car. However i did not look way under the front bumper. When i returned the car, another guy inspected the car and told me there was a dent under the front bumper. I had only driven the car for maybe a total of 20 minutes. Nothing hit the car and for sure if i were in the car, i would have felt it. The car sat infront of the house for the rest of the time. Im assuming, because most people wouldnt even think to look down there, that that dent has always been there and they just tell every customer that they made the dent. I suggest if you rent a car here or from another rental company, take photos of every inch of the car before you even get in it. Had a horrible experience renting the car..the person in charge is a rip off guy, he pushes you to take coverage , even if you say my insurance covers everything and does everything that doesnt help the customer in any way. We rented a full size car & upgraded it to Premium car. After signing the contract, he gave Avalon with all windows opened. Once we reached home and started for the trip, we closed all the windows & switched on the A/C, at that time we realized that this guy gave us a smoking car. They say all cars are non smoking, but its not true. They are so cunning that they opened all the windows so that customers can't detect the smoking smell. Horrible experience continues.. When we called to complaint, all they said was sorry, and did nothing to make the customer happy. I had another reservation on the July 4 long weekend at the same location, i told them to give me a better car , but they gave me chevy impala that was completely beat up, when i asked for a better one, he said i have 45 ppl coming in today, and it sounded like if you want take it or leave it. I rented it for 3 day and it was due to drop on Saturday he didnt say a word that i will be charged until Monday since saturday is a holiday. I was overcharged and when questioned he said you should read the signs on the drop off box. That means before renting the car,we should read all the signs including the one that says employeed should wash their hands. I would rate them 0 in customer service... Think twice before renting from this location...I'm totally frustrated because of the unhelpful and rude behaviour, and wil never rent from this location again.. I needed a car for two weeks last year due to a fatal accident and these guys made my life very simple and easy. It was during one of those crazy snow storms and they had the sense to give me a Jeep Grand Cherokee (new model, leather seats, etc) for $35 a day. I was in and out in less than 20 minutes and the staff made me feel very welcome. He also listened to my ramblings about the car and wanted to make sure that I did not downgrade too much from luxury car to cheap rental car. The location is at a very busy intersection and very easy to get to. Obviously, they will pick you up but in case you needed to grab a bus or taxi, it is available right nearby. I was pleasantly surprised that all the employees were warm and personable even at 30 minutes before closing and with half a dozen customers waiting in the lobby area. Great one-on-one attention from the associate I worked with named Sierra. All fees were explained, and Sierra showed me how the car worked and had it washed before giving it to me. There are two points of entering from this corner lot: either on River Street or Anderson Avenue. My car was a 2015 and not a scratch on it. Highly recommend this place. read more

Unfortunately after several positive experiences with enterprise was disappointed that when I brought my car back to a different dealer I was told I was Being charged for paint damage on the kick plate that was present on car when I rented it but was not documented by Jake who works there. His prep guy did not show up that morning and he rushed through the check out ... When I pointed to some of the chipped paint he remarked "Oh don't worry about that" I informed enterprise that I would not be paying for the pre-existing damage and their response was to send me to collections while it is not cost effective I have retained an attorney ..I rather pay them the 700 dollars than pay for damage I am not responsible for... The contract received said, a deposit can be made with debit car, cash deposit etc when you get to the location the rules changed otherwise than what was confirmed. The reception was shutting me down with "I understand, I understand. " Not Acceptable. The rules were went over the phone and again the day before the event when you get to the location all was changed. After I returned the car they charged me a hidden fee which apparently was the tax. I called the insurance and they said to not pay it because they paid for everything.
