Quick and easy process! The car wasn't very clean as the hose was frozen but still quick response

Enterprise Rental Car Horror I hate to post this about Enterprise, but this was the worst rental experience I've ever had. We rented a car to go from the Hamilton, OH to Nashville, TN. for my Master's graduation (on a Tuesday). We left home about 2 hours after I rented the car and it seemed fine out of my residential area. However, further down the highway, I had to slow down from 65 mph, and the whole car shook. You could hear the ABS brakes pumping my -whoomp-whoomp -whoomp!! It washes a shock to both of us. My wife got on the phone to call the place we rented it from and they advised that we call Roadside Assistance (Not a real thing because they're never working when you need them. They need to partner with AAA to service the roadside assistance calls after 5 pm). We were already in Kentucky when she called them but the couldn't find any place to stop before CVG airport. They instructed us to go there was a short wait before the manager at the time came and talked with me, but his body language was already telling us no. He said they were short 100 cars and didn't have enough for the people arriving there. I told him we didn't feel safe driving this car any further and he said he'd see if he could find something (He didn't). He also postured that their service shop might be an option, but we might have to wait a couple of hours. I explained to him that we could not wait that long because I needed to be there in 5 hours. He went to go check and came back with an expected, "I don't have anything to switch you into, and the service center said they couldn't do anything tonight, but they can get you in Thursday". Honestly, I began to feel hot, and I told my wife that, at this point, we'd just drive the car to Nashville as it is and switch it there. That was the roughest drive I've ever had. We really thought the car was going to fall apart. Right after I left the airport, a sensor came on saying that the car had low antifreeze. We had already gone from bad to worse. This had me really upset because t that car should have never been rented, and of course, I couldn't believe that the person who last rented the vehicle didn't inform them of at least the brake problem. [Friday morning] I called Roadside Assistance on Thursday night to prepare for the return home in the morning. I was instructed that I needed to call in the morning to make the exchange. When I called Friday morning, it seemed that we were going to be able to come out of that nightmare, but boy was I wrong. We get to the Enterprise location (which was supposed to be 2 miles from Gaylord Opryland Resort) but was actually 17 miles according to my GPS. I walk in, tell the assisted my name, and he was already informed that we were coming. He asked me if a RAV4 was okay, and I was agreeable. I started to get the bags from the trunk of the first car and my wife started saying, "Really? This car is filthy!" I run over to see what she is talking about and the seats, front and back, and the seats were covered with stains from coffee, pop, pee, etc. I don't even think that was an Enterprise car, maybe someone's work car. I go back to the counter and tell the associate that the car was unacceptable. It looked like it had been underwater, and it was unclean (what made him think this would be okay for us? I have my suspicions, but that's not what this story is about). I have no words. He offers me another car, and it reeked of smoke. I asked my wife, "Did we just jump out of the skillet into a frying pan"? I couldn't believe we were having this experience. If it wasn't for the sign on the building (they don't have a street sign), and the interior decorations, I would not believe this was an Enterprise. Maybe it is closing soon and they only had refurbished cars, but honestly, we took the car (a Toyota Camry) because we just wanted to get home. We ended up driving home with the windows down for 5 hours until I pulled in the drive way. I took the car back this morning and was told a regional or zone manager would probably call me this evening (they haven't) to work something out. We've been using Enterprise for the last 21 years straight, for our ministry trips (I'm a bi-vocational pastor, and my wife co-pastors with me, and now uses Enterprise more than me), and as I traveled around the country for work, I've only used Enterprise and National after one of the rental associates told me they owned them too, and to try them out. We have never been treated like this. They sure charged us $600+ for the experience, but we should be able to choose whether to have an experience like that or not. Enterprise, you've wounded and breached a long-standing relationship, and I would like to hear from you. BTW: I waited to post this because someone above the store manager was supposed to call (They haven't!). This is 3 days after I turned it in, so I guess they don't care. read more

If I could give this place zero stars I would. I rented a car for 8 days. I was put in a Jeep wagoneer, that had Roaches in it! The roaches burrowed themselves in the base of toddler 360 rotating car seat & I have no way of gettting them out. I had to throw all my belongings away that were in this car for the week. This branch manager Seth & the regional manager, Chris didn't want to do anything for me but fumigate the car seat & expect me to put my child back in it. So I am out a $500 car seat, jeep wagon stroller, jogging stroller, Kate spade work tote, diaper bag, & with the potential of these being introduced into my home. All I asked Chris for was to replace my car seat & he will not. Stated the exterminator only found a couple roaches after fumigating the car, that it was not an infestation. I provided Chris with pictures & videos of the roaches & that stood for nothing. This service is foul for the ill product they provided & even worse for their customer service. I have taken legal action over this & plan to make everyone aware of this! read more

complete joke, rip off, and scam I had to pay out of pocket for the rental on an insurance claim. yet they said the $50 deposit was put toward the rental then came back and said they paid it. they didn't don't rent from here they will steal your money. read more

I've had the very best experience with Hamilton Enterprise. They have been so very helpful and understanding my needs when it came to renting a vehicle until mine gets fixed. I've called and told them the vehicle I git I just didn't feel comfortable in it and they had no problem putting me into another car. Thank you to the the staff at Enterprise. By far one of the worst (and still ongoing issues) car rental companies I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. My "Upgrade" was a 40,000 mile plus Honda with warning lights for tire inflation and key fob (but their mechanic looked at it and I could just ignore them) dirty interior, windshield wipers that are worn out, etc. 5 calls later over 3 days promising to "take care of my issue" and here I sit, same car, same issues, no changes. Never seen more people less capable of dealing with a simple compliant (give me a different safer car please) in my whole life. If this was my company, I would close it out of shame. read more

My roommate rented a car from here, left his car here, asked if he could leave it in the lot where he did, they told him it was fine since it was under the cameras. Came back to find it stolen! The guy had to take two days to go through security footage to see who stole the car, turns out two homeless people took his car from the lot, they wouldn't show the footage to the detective until the regional manager or someone came in, (still haven't shown it to the detective), asked us to come in to video record the footage on our phones if we wanted it. Since my roommates car was stolen, he had no way to get to work so he needed to keep the rental car a couple days extra, they told him they wouldn't charge him extra for it but only charge him for extra insurance on the car, and that he would get his deposit back when he dropped the car off, the next day he gets a call from another person at the rental place stating they would be charging him for every day extra and he would not be getting his deposit back, so now he has no car, no job, and is losing the apartment which means I have to pack up and move since I can't afford it on my own. The company could care less and the detective is doing jack sh*t, this car was my roommates livelihood, and just like that it's stolen and they refuse to help out, looking into liability and if it turns out they are liable for his car then he will sue. read more

We rented a large passenger van for a trip of 8 from Cincinnati to St George Island Florida. Marina rented the van to us and she is a Fantastic Customer service person. It took us a few minutes to pick the van up and we were on our way south! We drove straight through 14 hours. . read more

Dont have a 1/2 star! Had used them for years for business purposes. Enterprise car rental on Erie ave. Hamilton, ohio. Then , couple years ago, the new male manager was all about upselling, road insurance ,everything they had. I was given a car with front tire out of balance, called & complained. Couple days later, they fixed the issue. Then, 2 weeks later....surprise they billed me $260 for a bent rim. When I complained the Mgr. Replied that I should of taken iut the road hazard policy. Enterprise then blacked balled me when I refused to pay their maintiance costs. SLMc read more

Hit a deer on the road over Memorial Day Weekend and had to get a rental while it is being fixed. AllState set us up with this location and they called us promptly the next day to set up our rental. Came in, was met by a courteous employee outside who also had a mask on and I was in a car leaving within 5 minutes. Literally the most seamless rental experience I've ever had. Easy to deal with, and back on the road quickly - much appreciated! read more

The worst experience I ever had. I Was told on the phone by the enterprise insurance rental department that there's a vehicle reserved and ready for me at this location I made it right before close and they tell me nothing is available, they apologized and promised to me a reservation for the next day at 5:30PM. I got there the next day and the associate tells me I have nothing available for you. Are you sure you even had a reservation in the rudest way. And then admit and tells me I had to drop your reservation off the list this morning. To find out I am dealing with the store manager CORY BRENNENAN. rude conversation from a manager of a retail store that should be solving customer's problems and finding their needs instead of initiating problems and speaking in a disrespectful way to customers. read more

They did what they were supposed to do and were very nice about it. They tried very hard to up sell me. I had rented a car covered by my insurance then needed another covered by my insurance a week later. They said I had to pay out of pocket for the second when I didn't for the first. My coverage is enough to rent a car. So I said no. They ended up finding a car that cost less than my insurance covers. Remember these companies are making money off of you. Stand up for yourself. Even when people are very nice to you, they're still making a living. read more

I don't believe I could even give one star. I contacted Enterprise in Hamilton, Ohio on S. Erie Blvd. initially just to see if a 22 year old is able to rent an automobile. I found out that you are with an additional fee of $22 daily. So, since I had them on the line, I made the reservation under my name and advised it was not for me. I advised who was for with the age and asked several times if a debit / credit card is okay because they do not have a major credit card. I was told that was completely fine more than twice as long as he had a valid driver's license as well. To make a long story short, they ran a last-minute rental verification report and stated he was unable to rent due to an address mismatch. They were told on several occasions this individual does not reside in Hamilton Ohio, but is visiting. Asked if they imput the correct information and run the report again, the report would come back fine. The assistant manager chuckled and told me that sounded fishy and they weren't going to rent to him. But, he advised me my daughter could rent a car. I laughed and said not today, won't be 21 until tomorrow and the plan was to leave today. I asked to speak to the branch manager and was told he was in a meeting all day and tomorrow. Enterprise has ruined the weekend! I did call the customer service number to make a complaint. read more

I cant give a lower score. I get there. No cars. They try to claim I made no reservation. Show them the reservation. They then try to say I made the reservation too late. Made the reservation days before. Tried to give me a truck. But then they claimed I had to accept whatever costs came with filling up a truck versus a car. No discount given. Finally, they refused to give me any car at all after my complaint. I dont know how you run a business like that. But I will avoid Enterprise as much as possible. The Oxford crew is nice enough but not enough after this experience. Low lifes. read more

Rented a vehicle to go to Tennessee. The car was a new vehicle and was very nice. The service was good, the car was dependable, we had a great trip. My daughter liked the car so much, she wants me to get one. The service was good and overall experience was not disappointing. I only rent my vehicles from Enterprise. They always give me the best service as a fair price, and try to get me in the type of vehicle that I need. Thank you :) read more
