I picked up the vehicle today to head out of town in the morning. My reservation was set for 5p. I called to see if I could pick up at 4p and was told, they didn't have the vehicle ready. No big deal. As we're checking out, she tells me that they close on Sunday at 2p and I need to have the car back at that time or I'll be charged an additional day. So, doesn't that mean my vehicle should've been ready at 2p so that I can return it by 2p? I'm confused. In the past, I've always been able to drop the keys off in the drop box after hours and not have to pay an extra day. I'm not happy about this new policy. However, I was in and out pretty quickly. This is my favorite Enterprise to rent from. Everyone is typically friendly. The low pressure tire light was on and I asked Bree to put air in and she did just that. Rented a car from Enteprise for one month while visiting my family. This location was more affordable than the airport and other locations - the hours also worked for me. While I had to wait about 30 minutes for my car (I picked it up when a lot of people were dropping theirs off, so the cars had to be cleaned), the staff was extremely friend, the waiting area was clean, and they offered my mom and I bottled water. When I dropped my car off, the process was easy, too. Overall, a great experience and I will rent here again when I visit Indianapolis again. read more

Rented a car while my car was getting serviced. I was provided a fair rate with a clean and new car. Though it wouldn't be a car I would pick out for myself, I guess that can be a fun part of rentals. Enterprise picked me up from the car service center and brought me back to their location to fill our paperwork, which I really appreciated. I didn't appreciate being on hold for over 15 minutes calling them to let them know I was ready to be picked up. It is a great service but I wish there was a more direct line to the service center, seeing as the same thing happened when I was returning. I was on hold again for over 15 minutes to clarify the return instructions. There seemed to be some confusion regarding the return process. One employee told me to drive to the dealership and someone would pick the car up there, but another employee said to bring it to enterprise to return at that location. Though not necessarily convenient, no big deal. I must have arrived at a busy return time. Cars were parked everywhere, so much so that people were not in real spots, cars were blocking roadways, and people were not able to pull out of parking spots. It was quite stressful to return the car! Overall the actual rental was exactly what I needed. I value customer service and though their pick up service is great, some other aspects could be improved. read more

When checking the car out, I was pointing out everything that was wrong with it and the salesperson told me unless it's big not to worry about it then when I dropped it off a different sales person, checked it out and was extremely rude about a small dent that I POINTED OUT but was told not to worry about that day I picked up and tried to make it my responsibility because it wasn't marked by the first person. He brought the first person over but she's new and said that she never saw it even though we did point it out to her, so I think she got scared and just lied about it. The manager came over and said that the dent he was referring to was too small to worry about so the first sales person was actually right and the person I dropped it off too was just trying to blame me for a shitty car with a lot of wear and tear. I guess, have them mark EVERYTHING, even you take your own pictures, dont trust them, they will purposely not mark things then charge you to fix it. read more

Back story; Original car was empty on wiper fluid, (after I asked to double check it based off a previous customer complaint while waiting in the lobby, then had to return early because my rental had sold. Now, the replacement (that smells like smoke) is saying "maintenance due" within hours of pulling off the lot!! Tried calling tonight but they're closed. Ah Back for 3rd time tomorrow and waiting to see what will be wrong with the next vehicle! I was calm/understanding at first, but this is obnoxious and a waste of my time. I have rented twice from this location. Once when I had work done in the Chevrolet service center attached and once when I wanted a car to use for our trip to Wisconsin. I'm not a big fan of their online reservation system. I typically prefer to use online, because I am not a big fan of being "sold" things in person. I checked an item online for 9$/day that said it was for "insurance" and discarded options for gps, etc. When I got there they told me that it would actually be at least 18$/day for insurance, and they didn't have record of my 9/day thing... Even thought it had increased my base price of the rental...I tried explaining this and basically was told that if I can "prove" this 9$ fee was added that they would fix it...but it doesn't have a detailed breakdown of the base price for the rental on my agreement, so I have nothing to go on. It's frustrating, because the initial price of the rental was around 160 for the weekend+ friday. Reasonable. After they nickle and dimed me to death over insurance and stuff it was almost 235$. Way more than we intended to spend. We are budget conscious travelers and spending an extra 75$ meant we didn't get to eat any meals out while we were on VACATION. Made the trip less enjoyable. I also had issues trying to call and schedule a pick up. I called the location about 10 minutes after placing my reservation (was early afternoon, maybe 12 or 1?) No one answered and I was on hold for almost 15 minutes before I hung up. A few days later someone from customer service called to confirm my reservation and I scheduled the pickup then. I then called the store about 2 days later, was able to get through, and cancelled the pickup as we had arranged for a family member come to pick us up. The day of the reservation I got a call asking if we were ready for our pickup...So the person I spoke to at the branch never processed my cancel. Just seems a bit unorganized. Saving grace, they had the exact car I was hoping/had reserved and it drove like a dream and was very clean. Had an odd cologne smell but we just put the windows down for the first 20 miles and it dissipated a bit. Next time I rent I will probably go to Budget or through the Kayak.com website. read more

I've had to rent a car a few times in the past month or so (stolen cars are a real bummer), and working with Enterprise has been such an easy process. They always have a good selection of the type of vehicle I'm looking for and the staff are friendly and efficient. When I left a credit card in the vehicle I'd rented a couple weeks ago, someone called me within 10 minutes and, when I picked it up, they made a specific point of asking me how my experience had been and if there was anything that could be improved. Every team member at this location is friendly and professional. It felt like I was at a corporate location with all the team members being a part of leadership. Definitely a breath of fresh air. One team member even gave me suggested restaurants to eat at while I traveled. Gave me a free upgrade and the gas was free because the was below a quarter tank. Best rate on a rental car I've gotten in a while.rate was so good I kept the car a whole week. Car was very clean overall 5 star customer experience across the board. So, I'm at work - happily finishing up the tasks needed before leaving for vacation, and my girlfriend and I were trying to work out picking up our rental car before leaving this evening. To facilitate this process, I spend a quick 10 minute call on the phone with Enterprise rental, with a lovely young lady who really tried to help me out. However, I was unavailable to pick the car up, so we arranged to have my girlfriend pick up the car with my credit card, which she assured me was ok. If that wasn't ok...then don't tell me that it was OK! Fast forward a few hours - my girlfriend shows up after I assure her everything is set up, and is met by who we assume is the manager. A gentleman who while explaining that she in fact could not use my card (not the end of the world), also acted like my girlfriend was some sort of a scam artist - all while taking our 230ish dollar quote and trying to rush her through a 600 dollar transaction. Luckily, she bailed on the whole scenario. I wish I could describe it more, but sadly I wasn't there to witness it. Ultimately, the service was so bad it made her cry, and she is not the sensitive type. In three years she has never cried about something like this. Good job Enterprise. You screwed this one up. Look - if what we arranged with the other young lady was an issue and against store policy, that's fine - but when you're a total ass hat about it and treat people disrespectfully, you're going to get yourself some bad reviews. The proper way to handle that situation is to simply be very apologetic and let people know you cannot help them. Try a little harder next time, it's what they're ALSO paying you to do. I needed a full size van for a day trip. I arrived at Enterprise as soon as they were supposed to open. Employees were already working. The lady who handled my transaction was friendly, courteous and efficient. The paper work was processed quiclkly and the van was ready. I was amazed at the gas fee. They promised it would be at or lower than the local average. It was several cents lower than any prices I saw, so there was no need to fill up before returning. The prices for insurance and an additional driver were very reasonable. The contract stated that for a full size van there was a per mile fee if you drove over a certain number of miles. When I picked up the van, I asked about the fee and was told it had been waived. What a savings! I returned the van late at night, after office hours. The lot was well lit. This was one of the easiest rentals I have experienced. read more

Matt told me I can pick up the items and when I went to retrieve them - suddenly one of my item was missing. He said 'maybe someone took it.' I'm only giving this one star because I can't give it zero. I went on the web this afternoon, secured my car, got a confirmation number, drove to the enterprise rental car area and they told me they did not have a car available for me. They made no effort to find me a car or to tell me when one would be ready. They also did not call me ahead of time to tell me that there would be no cars available. If they had done that I would've driven to the competitors Avis or Budget and gotten a rental car from them instead. The "manager" (translation - smirky frat boy) did nothing to resolve the situation but escalated it instead, by calling the cops. I guess he didn't like my tone. I asked him to give me a ride to nearby Holy Spirit church where I had to rehearse funeral music. He did not offer any solutions and told me he was not my cab service. I didn't want cab service. I only wanted the rental car that I had a confirmation number for. Worst experience at any rental place. Stay clear! read more

Not satisfied nor unsatisified...car was awesome 38 to 40 MPG...was told I had to have insurance and cheapest would be 17.50 per day but ended up with getting charged with personal protection insurance also which I don't think was mandatory. Also the Rep told me to bring the car back as close to empty as I could. Questioned this as have always made sure rental cars had as much gas when I returned as when I left. So I stil made sure there was the same amount of gas,(actually it was more), when I returned the car. Come to find out I was charged $10.20 extra for them to refill tank. Slick move on his part...but made them take off the charge as I was not given the option but was just told to bring it back close to Empty. Driving back to Indiana was in alot of lake effect snow and roads were very wet..found no Washer Fluid in car...talk about having a hard time seeing!!! So here is my opinion. I think the Reps get commissions on the "Extras" they get a customer to take and me being a woman and the place being busy my Rep decided to just add a couple little extras that I wouldn't notice. Also...whoever is in charge of checking the vehicles to make sure everything is good needs to find another job. Very dangerous to be driving on wet highways with snow falling and no Washer Fluid! read more
