This rental started with a vehicle that never should have been rented. It reeked of cigarette smoke, had cigarette burns in the seats, and was so unpleasant that my wife and I had to immediately return to exchange it, disrupting the start of our trip. During the rushed transfer of our belongings, I accidentally left my AirPods Pro in the first vehicle. While on my trip, I noticed they were missing and tracked them to Tampa while I was in Orlando. That's when I realized what had happened. When I returned and explained everything, I was assured the original vehicle would be back the next day and that I would be contacted before it was rented again. That never happened. Instead, the car was rented to another customer with my AirPods still inside. Later, I tracked my AirPods back to the Enterprise branch in real time and immediately called. I explained this was not a normal lost-and-found situation because I could literally see they were at the branch. The manager, Chris, dismissed my concerns, repeatedly said he'd "check the lost and found," and after I told him I intended to contact corporate, he simply put me on hold for over 30 minutes. I actually drove to the branch while still on hold. I introduced myself as the customer he'd had on hold the entire time. There was no apology. Instead, he refused to help, told me, "So go get them," and walked away. At that exact moment, I refreshed Find My and watched my AirPods leave the Enterprise lot. Another employee confirmed the car had just been rented. I then spent countless hours trying to resolve this through the branch, corporate customer service, escalations, and management. I was repeatedly promised callbacks that either never came or couldn't be returned because there was no direct number to the manager handling my case. The irony is hearing Enterprise's recordings repeatedly brag about clean vehicles and customer satisfaction while experiencing the complete opposite. What started as being given a smoke-filled vehicle with cigarette burns ended with the loss of my AirPods and one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had. I am writing to express my outrage over the treatment we received at your Jacksonville location (4307 7 Blanding Blvd) from manager Josh Davis. We had a reservation for 10:00 AM, but due to our child with autism having a difficult morning, we were unable to arrive on time. Instead of showing understanding or offering assistance, Mr. Davis was rude, disrespectful, and humiliating, treating us poorly in front of my child. His behavior was completely unacceptable and falls far below the customer service standards I expect from Enterprise. We had rented vehicles from Enterprise for years and our reservations are always honored for 24 hours. We have never experienced any issues with this policy until this visit when we encounter Mr. Davis who apparently is new to the location as we rented multiple time here with no issues like this before. Additionally, Mr. Davis argued with us, talking over my wife and myself --demonstrating behavior that was both unprofessional and appalling. This manager immediately turns aggressive and frustrated when we tried to communicate our concerns. Proudly he announces to us that he is the manager and that he can asked us to leave the location because he just don't want to deal with our questions and request for common sense assistance from him. We asked for a brief moment to review our finances, as he was attempting to charge us significantly more for a new reservation and to upgrade us into a more expensive vehicle to pick up our children at the Orlando airport. Rather than assisting or listen to us he demanded that we leave the building immediately when we refuse to pay extra for the vehicle, he wanted us to rent, claiming it was 1:00 PM and he doesn't need to help us after that time. This left us in an extremely difficult situation, without a vehicle, struggling to meet our children at the airport. My 9-year-old daughter became uncontrollably upset and frightened by Mr. Davis's yelling and behavior toward my husband and me. This experience has been demeaning, stressful, and entirely avoidable. As a result, we are immediately canceling our personal and corporate rental reservations with all Enterprise locations. The lack of professionalism and basic human decency displayed by Mr. Davis is unacceptable. This gentleman treats us like we do not know anything about car rentals and was not even looking to assist us in any possible way other than forcing us to upgrade and pay much more or to leave the location as per his request. I request immediate corrective action to ensure that no other family is treated in this manner. I also suggest gathering statements from all employees working at this location to fully understand this incident as I won't want a manager like that in my company as a district manager. The two other enterprise employees present at the counter during the incident look extremely in shock and truly ashamed of this manager aggressive tone of voice and stand. We do communicate the incident to all Enterprise customer services levels including the CEO. Because a person of this low level of professionalism and respect should not be working with customers at any level in our Jacksonville area. We had been from plus to platinum customers with Enterprise for years and never before we had been treated so poorly and disrespectfully. FYI We drive to Budget car rental down the road and were able to rent the vehicle we needed at a lower price with a last-minute reservation and that staff at Budget was very respectful and responsive even when the associate was working alone at the location. My experience with Larry on Blanding was quite. Charming to open the door to give me a ride back to my car at the dealership where my car is being fixed at. It was nice to be around a gentlemen, that was kind and very helpful with my experience from renting from this location. Usually when you always get the thank you come again.. But for someone to show a little bit of compassion as I would say home training and someone who exuding what great customer service is about. It was nice to see as well as be a part of. Enterprise told me that they have a new policy where you have to purchase there insurance also but it is not posted anywhere in the office. Waited on the phone for 40 mins no one picked up ...what a joke would not recommend this location at all

In September I made a reservation for a large SUV for 10 days in December. Received multiple calls leading up to pick up day, all asking me to confirm I would need the vehicle still. One call was the day before my rental. On the day of my 12pm pickup I get a call from enterprise just after 11am (less than 16hr since last speaking to the very same location) to let me know my reservation won't be available and I would have to accept a smaller vehicle or nothing at all. So 3 months is somehow not enough time for them to secure a vehicle, absolutely won't waste my time with enterprise ever again. The cherry on top is the manager on duty lies and says there was a recall that's left them with no vehicles in that size and that recall JUST happened the morning of my rental so they couldn't warn me the other times they called, which was again, less than 1 day ago. This is the second time this has happened with Enterprise, first time at Blanding & Collins. Reservations are clearly worthless to Enterprise. read more

After my encountering the Enterprise Team on Blanding Blvd--I've discovered a rare gem! Not only did each person I came in contact with exceed my expectations with pristine customer service--They exude a culture of empathy, productivity and tremendous efficiency for their patrons. From my shuttle driver Qasim helping me remove with my things out of my vehicle including my babygirl's quite stubborn booster seat whose latch wouldn't release until he discovered a special yellow switch; To Dequan, being perceptive of my preference and ensuring I had a rental of my dreams--a gorgeous black convertible Chevy Camaro (by offering an upgrade option from what my dealership would cover)...With Bruno seamlessly expediting my drop off as he was attentive to my haste of needing to get to work that morning almost imminently; With my second driver, Jay assisting me with my things, that pesky booster seat switch and getting me to the dealership to pick up their loaner soooo smoothly; And lastly but surely not least--Kyle in a grand finale of an outstanding 5-star collective performance --securing payment and going beyond the call of duty by helping me retrieve my iPhone charger that in my haste I left in that Beauty of a vehicle. **My apologies for the length...(I know I'm verbose, but these gentlemen deserve their accolades for a tremendous job well done.And by showing specifically how each of them impacted me--I'm hopeful many even reading this review will notice it's the little things we do for others that make a lasting impression sometimes) I have NO doubt considering the level of empathy, business sense, strategic critical thinking and professionalism displayed that it trickles down to each patron they impact! Tried to rent from them, couldn't accommodate my original reservation so they offered something else, I agreed to accept, I came in, tried to pay they told me I had to wait 24 hours from the time of reservation prior to using a debit card. Then told me they only allowed 25 and up to use debit cards and I'd have to use a credit card to make the reservation. This wouldn't have been a issue if they had brought up the stipulations prior to me walking 20 minutes and then paying for an uber to get to their place. The worker wasn't rude, but the attention to detail here is not very good. The best part was they forgot to mention I would have to put down a $500 security deposit... $100 okay, $200 fine, but $500? For a Corolla? Come on it's just not necessary. Maybe it was just a bad weekend on their end but my god why wouldn't you give any of the details to the person that made the reservation. read more

Called ahead of time to ensure vehicles were available. Told a vehicle was available but then when I got there it wasn't. The rep there made me wait while they complained to a coworker on the phone about managers. I was on a time crunch and had to make it to the airport at a certain time. This location is literally the most chaotic and ill-run car rentals I've ever experienced. My husband was in a wreck this weekend rendering our car undriveable. While we wait for the car to be inspected, our insurance set us up with what is supposed to be a compact car that should have been ready early this morning. We scheduled a shuttle to come pick us up literally 10 minutes away and waited for over an HOUR, only to call and find out they never sent the driver because "your insurance went in and changed something about the reservation and your address was deleted," even though I confirmed the address with the first employee twice. Now, my husband has been there for over half an hour, only to be told they didn't have any compact cars available, is a truck okay, and then was also told that NONE of the cars on the lot had been cleaned yet! So I'm going to miss an appointment because this location can't get it's crap together. read more

I had to switch out cars 3 times for mechanical Issues it was very annoying and enterprise at other locations were no help at all. Other than that it is a nice location to rent from. read more

I almost exclusively rent from enterprise, but this is the only location that will have you waiting outside in the sun for at least 30-40mins. All of which is just to check in for your already confirmed reservation. The staff does their best and are very polite, but their manager will move "acquaintances" that just showed up without a reservation to the front of the line. To his credit he is able to have them on their way within 10mins of being there. He did this today directly in front of eight customers, including myself. Three of which saw this blatant slap in the face, and decided to leave. If I didn't desperately need a vehicle this weekend, I would have done the same. Oh and they didn't have my car either. Which they'll try to throw you in whatever they have, say "it's an upgrade", and charge the same price. Don't let them do that. Just go to another location and they'll treat you 10x better. read more

The staff at this Enterprise location are extremely friendly but there are a few things which can't be made up for by having smiley happy faces. First of all, the hours on the weekends are ridiculous. Am I ignorant to think that car rentals occur just as frequently on the weekends as during normal business hours? And even worse, they were closed on Labor Day which essentially meant I was without a car all weekend (when I really needed it). This location also services most of the car dealerships in the area so it is really REALLY busy. Be prepared to wait around for a while before you are helped and even longer if you need a ride anywhere. For the amount of customers they have, it really would serve them well to have more staff. My car was fine. No options were presented to me but I suppose it had 4 wheels and got me from point A to point B so I won't complain too much but it certainly wasn't a car I would have chosen if given another option. Overall this location got the job done and I applaud the friendliness of their staff but some of the other aspects of the business need some work. read more

Booked a rental car online for one month ($600) only to show up and be denied. I was dropped off by taxi ($23) to pick up said rental and they cannot rent to me because I have an out of state drivers license and they require credit card to process. Even though my debit card has a huge VISA logo on it and I am prepared to make the payment in full, this will apparently not suffice. I am out of state on military orders with an active duty ID. The clerk informed me that they could process my payment if I had a hard copy of my orders, but of course I don't because it's 2017 and everything is digital, so now I'm stuck here waiting on another taxi to take my business elsewhere. Last minute idea, car broke down and needed a ride very early in the morning and they came and picked me up without question. I arrived at enterprise without a reservation and Lacita greeted me quickly and helped me get a car to get to work right away! I arrived a day later to return the car and a gentleman named Evan asked if I needed a ride back to my car at the shop and he took the initiative to not only take me back to my car, but several others as well. Worst experience I have ever had with a rental car company. I made my reservation for 11am expecting to be out of there and hit the road by 1130, sadly this was not the case. As soon as I got there I was asked for my id info from Bruno to check in. As I'm sitting there in the hot sun with a baby I see everyone else getting their car before me, so i ask one of the ladies what was going on she then tells me that I was never checked in so a hour and a half later I'm still sitting because the person who I thought checked me in (Bruno) never did. Needless to say I was there 2 hours and 30 mins before I got my car, which made me late for everything that I had to do, no one apologized for the mix up or anything. I will NEVER go to this location again unless I have no other choice. If you ever go to this location please make sure you are checked in because the employees will walk past you 100 times before ever asking you how they can even help.Worst experience and customer service ever. read more

I will start off by stating, I rent cars often in my profession... However; I've never experienced poorer quality service in my life! I reserved a Luxury car which on Enterprises website (and customer service line) informed me would be either a Cadillac ATS, Lincoln MKZ or Infinity... I wanted a car and not an SUV and even stated this in my reservation as you can rent a Luxury SUV or Luxury Car. This car was to be used in a very special event and I reserved the car 2 weeks before the date of reservation. I was to pick up the car at noon and called at 11:45 to inform Enterprise that I was on my way... The agent informed me that their systems were down and had been for almost an hour and she wasn't sure when the systems would be operational enough to rent cars. Knowing that I needed this car asap, I decided to go to the Enterprise location and wait in the lobby until the systems were back to functioning. When I arrived 30 minutes later, I was informed that the systems were back however; Enterprise had already rented out my luxury car (I just spoke with the lady and informed her of how desperate I was to pick up my car and that I was on my way)... The gentleman told me that he would get another car for me and I went ahead with the rental, assuming that he would put me into a different luxury car... Thankfully at the end, I held onto my credit card and asked to see the car first. Enterprise tried to put me into a GMC Acadia!!! Do these people not know what a car is versus an SUV and do they know what entails a luxury model? Needless to say, I spent the next 5 hours trying to locate another rental car agency who could accommodate me on such short notice. To rent a luxury car, I was required to reserve several days in advance in order to be accommodated by any other rental agency therefore; Enterprise ruined my very special occasion... In many instances, people rent cars for special occasions or for important corporate guests - I can assure you that I will not be using Enterprise in the future and will inform corporate and friends of this unacceptable situation! Unprofessional. The Manager was rude, never sympathized with me, never asked what she could do to make things better - she told me that I was 15 minutes late and it was my fault!! I called 15 minutes before my appointment time, informed them of who I was and was told systems were down... I arrived within 30 minutes! Terrible customer service. A Senior Manager called to apologize and informed me, "This is not the way Enterprise does business." However; to the customer, this was how Enterprise conducted business as it was an actual experience. As a Manager, I would have said, "I understand you rent cars often therefore, we want to give you the real Enterprise experience - next time you rent, please call this person at this number and I will assure a very pleasant experience. This simple step would have made me feel like a valued customer and the next time I rented, more than likely I would have called that number. read more

I received a call from this location last night around 7:30 and informed them that I needed to extend my rental for a few more days until my car was out of the shop. At his time I was placed on hold for about 6-7 minutes, and informed that the representative had to fix an issue, no biggie right? No. I got off work and attempted to have a meal with some friends and my card was declined!!!!!!!!!!! I immediately check my account and Enterprise had charged me 1600+ not once, but twice!!!!!!!! I was not informed that my card was being charged, and I am used to paying when the car is returned. My credit card company noticed the charges were suspicious and automatically cancelled the card. I called the location a few minutes ago and explained to the same woman that messed everything up and she didn't even apologize!! Instead all she had to say was that she didn't charge my card twice...(well who the F*ck else from enterprise did?) and that it must have been a computer glitch, which still would have warranted an apology. She then began to tell me what my credit card company could do to fix the problem instead of taking responsibility and fixing it on her end. I then insisted upon talking to a manager, and before this could happen I had to ear from Angie that the manager was with her the night before and was the one who told her to charge my card in the first place. (basically saying, "I don't know why you're asking for her bc she's on my side"). I was then placed on hold after which I hung up. I received a call back, and a message not from the manager, but from Angie!!!!!!!!!!! I 'll jut deal with my credit card company as suggested. This is the worst customer service I have ever received from Enterprise in the last 12 years I've been renting from them all around the country, and that's saying a lot. read more

One bad apple can ruin the bunch. This is especially the case at this location. Had very friendly service when it came to renting a car while mine was being repaired. However, when I returned the vehicle, I left a $200 pair of sunglasses in them, not even 30 minutes after I parted ways did I return to their store. They checked with their staff and miraculously my sunglasses were no where to be seen. Their resolution was to take down my number in case they somehow reappeared, funny thing is, no one bothered to ask what kind they were or what they looked like. Which to me said "not our problem", which was then confirmed after speaking to their management when they told me that they were not liable for lost or stolen items. Needless to say I will not be bringing my service back to Enterprise, as they clearly condone theft in their workplace. My advice for anyone dealing with them, don't put anything valuable in a vehicle you're renting, heaven knows that, if its forgotten when you return the vehicle, you will ever see it again, and they don't seem to care. read more
