Fraudulent claim by this staff and location where they are trying to pin pre-existing rust containing damage on me that I did not do! The picture submitted by Alamo employees has rust on it, which proves it is pre-existing rust containing damage! Moisture, heat, and TIME are needed for rust to develop on metal! I only rented the car for 6 hours so there is no way this rust damage that has been there for months was done by me! Also, they are trying to blame a crack on the tire on me! This tire crack is normal wear and tear from cheap rubber that is used to make tires. Back in 2013, there was a class action lawsuit against Alamo for fraudulent claims against their own customers. Do not use this car rental company they are fraudulent and misleading with the type of cars they offer. We ordered a convertible mustang to drive around the island when we got Alamo they brought out a mini copper i was so disappointed i felt so scam and sad that this isn't the car we paid for I thought it was complete joke. When I tried to query it with front desk they give some bs story ohh the mustang wasn't guaranteed and in their words a mustang is equivalent to a Camaro neither we got. Since they had no other convertible we was stuck with whatever. Plus they didn't want to take blame because we purchased through of Priceline so be careful of the fine print and this scamming company. I really wished they said they didn't have the mustang so we could have used Turo to get a Jeep or something better. Alamo you suck I would never used your rental company. read more

I normally rent vehicles from Hertz or on rare occasions, Enterprise. However, my family and I stayed at the Aulani for 14 nights. If you're not familiar, parking is $37/day, whether it's valet or self parking. Well, we got information there was a rental company on site. At first I was hesitant but caved in. Instead of renting a vehicle, we rented on site at the Alamo. The service was great and everyone is just so friendly! We had rented vehicles only on certain days we knew we wanted to explore the island. So, by the end of our trip, a couple of the cast members working there already knew me by name and did their best to accommodate to mine and my family's needs for that day. My suggestion to anyone staying on site at the Aulani, save a ton of money and rent from the Alamo on site. The reservation and return was stress and hassle free! read more

Alamo sent me two emails reminding me to write a review, well here it goes. Did the reservation over the phone, learned to my dismay that they don't rent by the hour. When it was time to pick up my rental I was told they applied the wrong discount code, but luckily correcting it didn't result in a higher cost to me. The on-site staff were great. I expected a Dodge Caravan and ended up with a practically brand new Toyota Sienna! Only 300+ miles on it, only negative was that the driver side sliding door already had scratches. I pointed this out before I took the keys and made sure they noted it. After a day driving around Oahu hitting up Lanikai beach, North Shore, etc. we dropped off the van with Aulani's valet - which is a great perk. The next morning I received a call from Alamo asking about the scratches! I was annoyed and told them it was already there when I received the van. The representative admitted he didn't review the initial inspection report and sheepishly apologized. Thankfully I didn't hear from them again. I'm not gonna hold it against them though, especially since our family dragged all this beach sand into the van's interior! read more

This is the only way to go if you are staying at the Aulani hotel. Renting a car is painless and friendly. Returning the car was even easier, just dropping it off at the front of the hotel and continue in with your vacation. Prices are reasonable and car was clean and well maintained. Best way to rent a car when staying on site or near the Aulani. I signed up for an Alamo rewards membership before my trip and got a great deal on an free upgrade. Riley at the customer service/rental counter was handsome as well as friendly. We had a great conversation while he set me up with my car and made me more excited to explore the island. The car we requested before arrival was all out, so we received a double free upgrade. Bonus! The car was clean and ready to go and service was speedy. Alamo at the Aulani went above and beyond for us. I cannot say enough good things about it! Our package for a week stay at Aulani included one day of rental car. Silly me, I guess I expected that because 6 of us were on the resort's reservation, that the car would be something that could accommodate us all. Well, when I called to confirm our rental for the next day, I was told that there was only a compact car available. No larger cars available at all and I was willing to pay for an upgrade! Jendy was the one who helped me, and when I explained the situation to her, she sweetly asked for my cell number and said she'd see what she could do. Less than one hour later, she called me with good news: they had a car for us, ALL of us, and it wouldn't cost any extra! I was so relieved! I thought we may end up having to rent 2 cars, which would have been a HUGE pain in the you-know-what for parking and cruising around the island with 6 of us. Thank goodness Jendy came through with flying colors! I'm not sure what sort of strings she had to pull, but I was so grateful to her and the rest of the staff for making sure that we were taken care of. She also made sure that the same car was available for us for another day that we wanted to go exploring (which we paid for since it wasn't included with our package.) Alamo at the Aulani went above and beyond for my rental car experience. We rented a Luxury SUV for 2 separate days and the experience was amazing. The staff was so friendly and helpful as well as efficient. We got a nice discount for being a Disneyland annual pass holder and that made it even better. The topper was my daughter left her Star Wars watch in the suv after we dropped it off for the rental. The staff went above and beyond in helping me find the suv we rented as well as search all the vehicles to find it. They were super friendly and caring about finding my daughters watch and the staff found it. From the staff at the desk to the staff down below cleaning and helping me it was the best rental car experience I have ever encountered. read more

Service is slow but good ! 4 star because of the Van I rented is Not fully clean ( sand and stain ) and still have a smell. ( perfect location for a car rental ) if you staying at Aulani I suggest renting car here instead of the airport. Save you fees on airport tax ! Staff was very friendly and helpful but service was super slow. I definitely recommend making reservations online prior to your rental...this will at least speed up the paperwork portion of the process. I'm not sure about price relative to elsewhere but about $100 a day for the lowest option seems quite expensive. However, the convenience of it being on location and 24-hour return service through valet kind of makes up for it. The desk opens around 7 AM so if you need the car early, I recommend waiting in line about 30 minutes prior to opening because there is only 1 person working the desk and the line can get long. Reserved a car online, received a confirmation number, went to pick up car and guess what!!!! They said "oh sorry we don't have any cars for your reservation". "Just because you reserve one online doesn't really mean your going to get a car" Then what's the point of reserving a car!!! They didn't even apologize for the inconvenience or offer a voucher for another day. He pretty much said too bad so sad. Terrible! thanks for nothing Alamo at Aulani! We rented vehicles from this Alamo location a couple times. The site is right on the Aulani Disney Resort, so it was very convenient to pick up and return here. The staff was super friendly. We dealt with Riley, Erica, and another girl whose name I forgot. All of them were very accommodating to our needs. The vehicles were always clean. The people at the rental desk are super friendly and helpful. The whole process is very smooth. We rented a mini-van for the day trip. They took me to the Aulani garage, pulled up the car for me (completely cleaned, smelled great) and even helped me to load my bags into the car. The return process is so easy, just drove up the Aulani valet and they took care of the rest. They even gave me a claim ticket in case I've left anything in the car they would pull the car out for me. I couldn't have asked for more, totally stress-free and great experience. read more

Very happy with the car from Alamo, but was quite shocked when I went to return the vehicle and they were quoting me almost $300 more than what my estimated costs were. Ends up they were charging me for THEIR insurance at $29 per day. I will give a kudos to the agent inside named Eliander who helped get this fixed. I explained that I had purchased rental car insurance from HotWire and he got those charges taken off. Good job on making it right. read more

The Alamo staff was very courteous and friendly. I had the choice of renting at the Aulani resort from Alamo or a number of car rental facilities at the airport and this was the correct decision. Take the speedi-shuttle to the resort and rent from Alamo. I was staying 9 nights and rented a car for a week to tour Oahu during our stay. It worked out great and was most convenient. At the end of the rental you return the car to the valet at the Aulani entrance and your invoice is emailed to you. read more

We rented a car for the day from Alamo @ Aulani . Pick-up was extremely fast and efficient and was there on site - literally off the main Lobby. An associate walked us to our car and we were off for the day. Upon returning to Aulani, we simply left the keys with the Concierge attendants and they returned to Alamo for us. This could not have been any easier. To top it off, the car was a new model, clean and came with 3/4 of a tank of gas. read more
