I called Enterprise at Buddy Holly and 19th in Lubbock about a month in advance of my rental dates so the vehicle I wanted (large SUV, preferably a Nissan Armada) would be available. One day prior to my rental date I received a call from Glen at this location, telling me they had an Armada that had just come in and I could have it a day early for a very small additional fee, if that was convenient for me. I went to the rental location and after a slight problem with a vehicle that suddenly had a manufacturers recall, an almost new 2018 Armada was delivered to my home that day, thanks to the quick assistance of Glen and Seth, both outstanding representatives of Enterprise. My return date was Christmas Day. Because of the holiday I was authorized to return the car the following day. A problem ensued with the final billing because the system showed I had used the car for one week and one day. Now a not-so-slight problem--the increased amount was charged to my credit card. Parker realized the mistake and assured me the amount for the extra day would be credited back to my credit card. Within 4 days the refund appeared on my credit car. Problem solved. This Enterprise location has outstanding employees. The fact that there were several glitches in the process is understandable IF the problems are solved in a professional and customer friendly manner. The entire staff took great care of me and solved all the issues that appeared. The ability and willingness to solve problems is the best gauge of good and excellent customer service. People in this place lie all the time! We have a reservation for a full size SUV, paid by an insurance company. We called before we go. They said it was ready for pick up (first lie!). So we bring our children to pickup the car. That is why we need a big car. When we arrive, they told us it was not back from a tire shop yet. They told us it will be back in 40 minutes ( second lie!). We need to pickup our daughter in 1h. So we agreed to take a mssibi small suv, which smells like a cow! They told us don't worry, they will call us to switch it back in one hour ( 3rd lie!). They never call! Do not do business with these liars!!! They waste your time and money! Enterprise was the company that the insurance company from my accident paid for. The company paid for a base model vehicle, and I agreed to an upgrade ONLY if the insurance company would pay for it. I am now being charged well over $100.00 simply because Enterprise upgraded me without clarifying that I would be paying the difference. They set up an appointment for me which did not seem to matter as it was a first come first serve situation and made me jump through hoops simply because I do not own a credit card as I do not pay for something if I cannot pay cash for it. I am extremely disappointed with the service I received with this company. The longer after returning this vehicle the more it seems to cause me a problem. I will also say that the staff is pushing very hard to charge extra for the services they can provide with the rental insurance. Terrible. Avoid at all costs. I am trying to use them through Geico while my car is getting repaired. I spoke with someone two days ago from Enterprise, and they said they would meet me at Gerber Collision, where my car is getting repaired. They did not meet me there, so I went to the Enterprise location, and they said they didn't have a car for me because I was a "walk-in." I had reserved an intermediate SUV. So I waited a few days to pick up a unit. At that time, I was given a smaller sedan because there was not an SUV available. I called 2 days later to check if there was an SUV available (my originally reservation). Luckily there was one in and I told the location I would pick up. Right before I left to go pick up, I called to verify it was still available. It was. It takes me 20 minutes to get from my house to the location, so I told "Shelby", the representative I spoke with that I would be there then. she said "Great, we will have it ready for you when you get here." She in no way mentioned the location closed at 6 PM. I live 20 minutes away so after putting gas in the rental I had, I showed up at 6:02 PM. The store was closed and locked. Everyone went home. I just wasted a trip to the store to pick up the intermediate SUV that I had originally reserved but yet still can't get. It's unbelievable that after speaking with a branch representative, and informing her I was on my way to the location to pick up the SUV, that she would close immediately at 6pm and not give me a courtesy of 5 minutes to pick up my originally reservation. I understand that you want to get home but when I tell you I'm on my way to pick up a rental vehicle that I had reserved, I would expect a little courtesy. We had our RV break down on the way to Colorado, and just decided to rent a car and finish the trip that way. We went to enterprise and they told us that if we came back in the morning they could do a credit check on our debit cards, and it would be no problem, so we rented a hotel room and reserved a car. When we went back in the morning they said they wouldn't accept a debit card and that they had never heard of a credit check, despite the same employees telling us it was an option mere hours earlier. The employees were unhelpful and just kept denying what they had told us. Ultimately we went with Uhaul who was nothing but helpful. Skip Enterprise, rent from Uhaul it's worth a little extra money. read more

Shitty attitude, , customer service, and fail. After reserving a van DAYS in advance, when I came in, NO VAN WAS AVAILABLE. They tell me a "mistake was made in my reservation". This makes no sense as they made ONE attempt to call me the day before (they claimed they had made several, but only one missed call), to tell me they would nt have a van... How would they have known there was a "mistake", since the reservation purportedly was for sedan? Why would they have been calling?? Secondly, the staff was unresponsive, and rude. After reserving one, AGAIN THROUGH ENTERPRISE, in Dallas, I decided to take the crappy Toyota they had, to drive 4 hours out of my way, and change myself in metroplex. After getting home, I called Enterprise reservation line to find out how/who had made mistake or changed my reservation. As afterthought, before I hung up, I asked them to make sure the van was reserved in Dallas, BEFORE I drove 4-5 hours... AND NOW THIS SECOND RESERVATION WAS ONLY FOR BASIC SEDAN TOO! Thank God, I asked before driving there. While I was still at the Buddy Holly store, TWO VANS were returned, but were for OTHER RESERVATIONS!? Thank you Enterprise for being there when we need you. Needing a rental usually means you're going out of town, getting your car worked on or you've been in an accident. Our last rental was due to us being involved in an accident. Enterprise put us in a vehicle and we were able to keep that vehicle until our car was repaired. That included our car being at the shop an extra week due to massive blizzard "Goliath" where work was halted on our vehicle due to this massive storm. We rented a car through a third party and it turned out that the car we were suppose to rent was not available. The employees at this location were very helpful and friendly. They offered a free upgrade. We weren't impressed with our choice so the manager offered another upgrade one more level up (I think due in part to the difficulties of the third party company). So as we returned a van that we had to rent for our children to travel to my mothers passing in California, the manager at this location was rude ,inconsiderate , and not very sensitive. As my husband called to get information and do a contract, we got conflicting details on the rental agreement. As we were in California my husband went to an Enterprise there to add himself on the driving contract there he was told he was added as another driver of the vehicle at no extra charge, I thought the purpose form being a chain of businesses was to have the same contracts , rules and regulations. But not so!!! They wanted to charge for the extra driver , mileage (we were told no extra charge) I had rented a Car for a whole month prior and that was ok but this time was not so good!
