They claim low rates? BS ... my son and his girlfriend broke down in Los Angeles and needed to rent a car to get to Phoenix. He is 22 and his 1 day rental came out to $212! AND, he had gotten to Riverside and had to turn around because bone head at Anaheim Enterprise left his keys in the rental ... they gave a small percentage off and no help on added fuel and bill was still $212! Go to Budget! Cheaper and they also rent to under 25 as long as you have a credit card and they didn't charge a one way fee. He rented at budget for return to Anaheim for $68. read more

Asking if we had enough to cover the rental.and made a rude comment saying I'd run into someone that getting insurance was a better option for us. The woman at the counter was rude. She wouldn't accept my Kiliti bill as proof of residence because it was past due so I paid it she stood there while I paid it and then she said that wasn't good enough she wanted to see my statement and I needed to download the PDF file but they don't have Wi-Fi. I had other things with my address on it my ID everything was attached to my address even my previous rental from there that woman made me cry and then she told me to get out of the way so she could help somebody else I have never been treated so awful at a business in my life I would never try to rent a car from this place ever again. If I could give zero stars I would do not rent from enterprise. My reservation was for the Tuesday before thanksgiving . I was picking it up at 5:30 but got there a little early to check in. Not only was I disappointing my family but the sheer fact that I could prove everything you guys needed it wasn't enough is baffling to me. I literally paid my bill online in front of employees everything had my name and address. I felt like she did that on purpose to give my rental away. Clearly that can't be fixed and she knew it. I was in Arizona for a wedding for a weekend I called over 10 offices trying to used Their slogan pick you up anywhere enterprise other office were saying they pick up people promised to be at my hotel in 10 minutes never showed up nor called. I spoke to Jimmy at the Mesa office on Broadway and he was excellent showed up in less than 10 minutes got me into a car in less then 20 minutes. James Clifton was wonderful. read more

Super friendly staff however I ran into a problem that they said they haven't ran into before and couldn't fix for me and they didn't. I was in an accident and Geico set me up with enterprise. The first truck they gave me leaked oil all over my driveway. I brought the truck back and they put me in a new one right away. I was told by the assistant manager Jim to get it cleaned up bring in a receipt and they will compensate me for the bill. I did that and when I showed Jim the receipt for $277 he said "wow that's more expensive then I thought it would be...let me grab Dallas my branch manager." Dallas then looked up my file and said since it was a third party paying my bill they can't compensate me but will take care of my next rental. However I never rent cars and all he did was signed one of his cards with "100% compensation" on it. Not only do I not rent cars but what if he quits or gets fired before I need to rent? The vehicle I rented was rear ended in this lot after I had removed all my belongings and was standing in line to return the keys. The driver that hit the car immediately reported it to the employee and offered to take care of the whole issue. Enterprise decided I was to blame so I had to pay the deductible right then and file the claim with my insurance. After the last crappy review I left, Enterprise reached out to me here in Yelp-acting as if they cared but it was all an act. "We have forwarded the information" and not another word until I received another bill. I paid for the rental car, I paid the deductible, I filed the claim with my insurance and now they send me another bill??? I really can't believe this whole thing happened and it keeps getting worse. read more

Staff was of poor quality. Even manager was of no help. Brought in two forms of id along with two utility bills. Was informed that was not sufficient so made a run back home to get a bank statement. Come back with bank statement, still not enough because it had to be of 30 days or less. Neither the manager nor the agent I worked with had the forethought to indicate this before I left to go get statement. Did not end up renting car nor will I from this location in the future. Regardless of Enterprise policies (which should be more clearly shown online) the staff at this location were no help and borderline incompetent. My fiancé asked me to drop off his car at the Gerber shop, and then rent a car at enterprise because hertz didn't have an available car for us. I rented a car from JIM at enterprise and right away I noticed it smelled like smoke, but I wasn't going to be picky because I just needed a car to get me home. Half way home it started making this knocking sound. I didn't know if that was a minor or major issue, so I just got myself home. I told my fiancé and when he got home from work, after commuting a hour, and it was dark out... he said he'd check it in the morning. In the morning it made that same knocking noises and smelled like smoke. So we took it back to enterprise first thing and they said they'd switch it out - but if still be charged $37 for that bad car for that one day. He said if it was normal retail exchange he could cancel the charge but because it was associate with an insurance claim (my fiancé's personal car was hit by another vehicle which is why it was in the shop) that he couldn't waive the fee. Another two customers in the store told me he's a liar and can't be trusted, and they were mad. So, our experience was bad, and in JIMs defense, he was always professional, however working all by himself. He needs help. But I still do not agree I should be charged for this bad smelly knocking car. read more

My experience was amazing thanks to Kyle. I rented a car from LA area and I was suppose to drop it off at AZA. I purchased a car maybe a mile away from this location and I didn't want tot drive to the airport in the opposite direction of LA. I decided to stop by and was already prepared for a "no, take it to the airport, we can't receive your car here". Kyle greeted me right away and took care of it. I've rented from enterprise before and Dallas knew that I was in a hurry. He went over everything thoroughly and was as cool and professional as they come. I've been to two other Enterprises and I have to say, this location has been the best! Everyone here is very friendly, especially Tyler. Exceptional service, made renting a car super easy for me, and was able to go through all the paper work and whatnot in no time! I work in customer service myself, dealing with people everyday, so I really appreciate workers like him who not only make your experience better, but remember you and pick up conversations from where you left off. It made me put 1 star but really they deserve 0 stars I Made a reservation three weeks ago for a full-size 4 x 4 SUV with a tow pack so I could put a luggage rack and take my whole family on Thanksgiving vacation and the day we arrive to pick up the truck we had reserved for many weeks before they give us a midsize Ford flex without a tow pack so we couldn't fit any of our luggage and ended up returning that Ford Flex and taking our own Brand New cars and added miles to those , I would never recommend this rental place to any friend or family especially if you have a trip depending on it.. read more

I had to use this place while my car was being repaired at a local shop. The one young man was very nice and super helpful, drove me to the repair shop when I repaired the car as well. The reason for the low rating is the actual cars. The first car they tried to put me in was a Camry with the front bumper hanging off. The next two cars were extremely dirty: windshield had so many bugs and dirt you could barely see through, stains on the seats, etc. I would recommend going a few miles out and finding a better rental place or even a different Enterprise in nearby Gilbert or Scottsdale, where the cars are actually clean and nice in those areas. read more

They upgraded my rental for free since they did not have any standard cars covered under the $35/day my insurance was willing to pay. They came and picked me up, finished the paperwork quickly and without hassle, and had me in a vehicle in a matter of minutes (and it was a push-to-start!). I rent from Enterprise all the time in Florida in Port Canaveral and I love working with them. The Mesa office, not so much! I called for a pickup and they said they would be there in 20 minutes. Perfect! I went downstairs and waited for the person to pick me up. Affter a 1/2 hour went by I decided to to call and double check they were coming to the correct hotel. They did come to the correct hotel but they had my phone number wrong. Rather than the girl Kiki get out and maybe ask if anyone was waiting on a pickup, she just decided to leave. They said she will turn around and come back. I now have been waiting for almost 50 minutes. I was very disappointed in the quality of service, last time I was there. They had new people that didn't know my longevity and they were very nick picky on documentation. Due to lack of proper communication, I had to dig up a lot of paper work, which delay my time. We could of avoided the cold and delay process, if they had told me before I got there. I have always used enterprise rental car in the past. Never had a problem. Went there today and was treated like garbage. No smile from the rep, just asked, What do you want? Told him I was looking for a rental car in 3 weeks, because Im finally going on my honeymoon. He rolled his eyes at my husband and myself and said we need to come back when its closer to the date! I truly was mortified at the service I was given and will never go back there, Unfortunately avis and budget were closed at the time, but i will try again tomorrow . I had a very poor experience with this location, specifically with Tyler. When I first came in, I let the boys know that somebody hit my car and her insurance was supposed to be covering my rental. I gave them the 6-digit code, and they said they found my name in the system and that, since I wasn't given an estimated time for the repairs on my car, I'd have a 30-day contract with the rental. I then waited a good 45 minutes while the four boys on staff took care of a family, 2 car check-ins, and pickups for other people. When they finally got to me, I was rushed through the process and told I had to sign something to be able to leave the lot. Everything was fine and good until 10 days later. I received a voicemail saying I had my rental longer than expected, and that I shouldn't forget that I'm paying $15-16 a day to have it. I called back as soon as possible and Tyler answered. He kind of brushed off the "longer than expected" comment, and went right into how I signed a contract saying I would pay for coverage on the rental out of pocket. I explained that, no, when I came in, I was told the lady's insurance was supposed to be covering everything on this car, and that I wouldn't have to pay for anything. It wasn't my fault someone hit me. He proceeded to yell at me and continued saying, "Well, you signed a contract." I told him I wasn't paying for it because nobody told me that that was what I was signing, and the day I came in, everyone was in a rush to get customers out the door. His reply was, "Well, we're always busy so that's no excuse for you." He then said I could come in later that day and take it off my account, but it would only remove the future days I'd be using the rental and I was still expected to pay for the previous 10 days. When I again explained that I wasn't supposed to be paying for anything, he said, "Okayyy you're paying for it, see ya later!" and hung up on me. I was shocked at his extreme lack of customer service, but I assume it's because he's a straight-out-of-high-school boy who thinks he has power. I had to call corporate to explain the situation and how Tyler hung up on me. The lady who answered said their staff should never treat customers that way, and she was going to contact the regional manager. I assume it got to him, because about 10 minutes later, someone else from that location called me back and said they removed the fee from my account. I will never go back to an Enterprise. I refuse to deal with sleezy scammers and boys who don't know how to care for their customers. read more

I brought my work van into pepboys for some maintenance When they found it needed some extensive work and would need to be kept overnight. I thought, "no problem Enterprise will pick me up". WRONG, I contacted enterprise at 5:40pm to come pick me up and they refused saying there driver has already left for the day and they cant pick anyone up after 530pm. This has left me stranded, taking the bus all the way to north scottsdale. I am not happy with enterprise and their service especially after all the business I give them. read more

I was in an accident and USAA booked my rental thru Enterprise while my car was being repaired. The guy who picked me up was very friendly, but I am rating them low due to the condition of the car. I was not put in a comparable car to mine and to top it off the car had a flat rear tire. I called as soon as I left because the tire light came on. They said to try putting air in the tires. I took it to Big O since that's all there is where I live in Maricopa. They aired up the rear tire, said it was low and it may be flat or have something in the tire. Two days later I get back in the car to go to work and the tire light is on. None of the nearby Enterprise locations had a car I could exchange this one for. A guy tried to give me an excuse that it's probably just the change in temperature. The next guy I spoke to said they have an account with Firestone and to take it there to fix the tire. I head over to Firestone and it's at least an hour wait to get the tire fixed?!?! What a huge headache. Super annoyed at this experience. read more

For 2 days they kept telling us they don't have any cars for us to use ANYWHERE. After the 2nd day we called the ins. company to let them know what is going on. The agent that greeted me was very rude and was saying things to me to get a reaction out of his co-workers. I had trouble with card and he made me feel like an idiot. I finally had my wife bring me a new card. The car was dirty and had not been vacuumed. Worse yet was that it was not the car I had recommended. We are a family of 6 and the set aside a Ford Mustang. I was then charged a 250 fee for not knowing the name of my repair company. Today I learned I was charged 25 dollars for no reason. Pick another company. This location is beyond horrible. I've been renting with enterprise for years now. I'm even an rewards member. But this past weekend makes me not want to rent with enterprise again. The car was not a decent rental at all. The previous damages on the outside and the interior was like they have a specific car to give to a specific race. The rental was not clean and looked like they just gave it too me right after someone just dropped it off. The door you have to pretty much slam it so it will shut. Overall not happy with my rental, I couldn't see the car really until the morning. So I still decide to go on my trip regardless of the rental. The day I have to bring my rental back, I noticed that I'll be an hour late due to the time difference in California. Totally did not think of that, so I called the store and asked them if they have a drop off over night and would I be charged. I don't remember the guys name, but he specifically said drop it over night well still charge you for the next day and won't be able to check it in till 7 AM. I told him that was okay because I have to be to work at 7am so I'll drop it off over night. So I get there and look the gates are locked. Both of them. No over night drop off nowhere in site. So now I'm pissed, I don't wanna just leave the rental when I'm liable but I also don't wanna be late for work. So I picked my battles and decided to drop it off at 7 am (what the guy told me). I get there at 7:12 and it's not open STILL. I'm at the window looking in and a guy just staring at me saying we don't open till 730. My eyes went big. I'm really upset at this point. All I want to do is drop the rental off and go and the guy was like oh I can take the keys but we don't have an over night drop off at this location. Really sir?? Are you sure?? Not what your staff told me. So I decided i will give the manager a call on my experience at this location. I called and Chris answered the phone, I asked if I could speak to the manager and he's like ummm sure anything I can help you with. I told him no and that I only want to speak to a manager. He then transfers me to someone and I hear the recorded message then 10 seconds later someone pick up and not say anything. Then they hung up. I called back and they did it again. I then called a 3rd time and was like please just have him come to the phone cause apparently his phone isn't working. So Chris says oh I'm a manager. Really sir? If you were a manager from the beginning why you didn't take my call. So then he ask what can i do. I proceed to tell him my concerns and my experience with the rental and he then asks, what do you want me to do to make you happy. Honestly just do better. That was horrible and I'm not happy as your customer. He then says let me ask the staff that you talked to yesterday to see if they said that to you about the drop off and time we open. Remember I never told him who I spoke too, plus I didn't remember his name. So I have no idea who he asked. It takes him all of 5 seconds and gets back on the phone and says yes my staff said he didn't tell you that. I'm now shocked. Are you calling me a liar?? Really?? Now I'm pissed beyond words. He keeps repeating it over and over. And now I'm like sir I can't talk to you can i have the General managers number and he's like I don't have that. Are you sure sir??? Everyone has contact information for there GM. Now I'm really pissed then he's like there's nothing I can do, so bye. And proceed to hang up. I'm more pissed than before. I can't believe he hung up on me. I will never rent at this location and probably won't rent from enterprise again! You guys need to do better and have better training.
