Grateful for Enterprise. I had rented a car while on a work trip from PHX. It was HOT (122° according to the car). I was alerted by the car when I turned it on that there was a flat when I was at the hotel. I called my company's travel agent because I didn't know what to do and had declined the insurance and roadside assistance. The travel agency said to call enterprise so I did. They were so kind and arranged for AAA (which I personally don't have) to come change the tire. The driver and enterprise kept checking in to ensure I was okay. When they arrived they discovered it was just a donut in the trunk but inflated it and put it on the car. I was told not to go over 50 mph. Well that's hard when you have to take the freeway anywhere. So I called enterprise and they immediately reserved me a car 3 miles away and I took backroads to get there. They didn't have any cars available when I arrived. But a lady dropped her car off, the agent working immediately checked it in, cleaned it, and gave it to me. He didn't have the care I booked and didn't want to help get another. I finally got him to take me to the South Scottsdale location. Everything was great until they decided to charge me $200 more then I was told it would be. Wow, I don't know if I went at the right time or what, but this was a great experience. I was driving to CA and didn't want to put more miles on my car. I rented a Hyundai Tucson and really enjoyed it, would even consider purchasing one in the future. It was unlimited miles and the cost for one week was $255.85 with unlimited miles. The gas was at 3/4 when I picked it up and they just asked I return it the same way when I brought it back. I made the mistake of walking 5 miles here when I came. I found out if you live within a 5 mile radius they will pick you up and drop you off for free! So much better. When I first picked up the car we walked around it together and they told me as long as there is no dent larger than a golf ball there is no extra fee. I didn't bother with any of the insurance they offered. The total was $400 to include the deposit but I got that back when I returned the car. There were so many people there getting a rental car because they were in an accident. I was so thankful that I was there for vacation and not car troubles. read more

Initially I was given a really small vehicle due to unavailability of anything larger but few days later I was given a larger vehicle. Due to covid they now provide sanitizing wipes in every rental. Continually the worst experience. Made a reservation, called the day prior and confirmed the time of arrival the agent stated it would not be an issue. Arrived the following day five minutes prior to the agreed arrival time and to no ones surprise thirty minutes past the promised time I'm still waiting. This is my go to location and I usually have never had issues. But all of a sudden they decided to close early even though I was dropped off at the site before closing and before my scheduled reservation at 7pm. It's completely crazy to know that they are so quick to close early even though there are still verified pick up reservations on their books for that night. So know that nothing is guaranteed at this location and prepare to be stranded in the middle of the night. My only saving grace was chasing down an Enterprise employee who pulled cash together to buy me a cab at the very least. I was warmed by his gesture even through it was not my reserved rental car. But I guess that's better than having myself, a young female, being left to roam the streets stranded at 7pm. Thanks for literally nothing but wasting my time and no car. read more

Beware! This location trying to charge us for damages (scratches) we 100% did not do to the car. Only had car for 10 hrs for a simple non-eventful drive from SD to Scottsdale. Service advisor/Assistant Manager in Scottsdale saying we scratched car but also even agreed w/us that the scratches looked old (not fresh), but is still charging us for them. Now we have to deal with the Enterprise claims department. Totally unfair & unnecessary. We are long term Enterprise customers, we expected better. read more

I had a decent experience renting a car here for a weekend. I made a reservation online and they were able to come and pick me up at a hotel nearby, which was appreciated. There was a little hiccup in that the driver had the wrong name of the person they were picking up, so he was waiting in front of the lobby of the hotel for a little while until I realized it was an Enterprise employee. Renting the vehicle was OK, I thought the questions they ask you like "where are you staying," etc are a little invasive. They say they do it for liability or so they "know where you are in case the car gets stolen." Just seems silly. If I'm going to steal a car, I'm not telling you where I'm staying...hahaha. Anyway - the car itself did the trick. They gave me a small economy car, the lowest class since that's what I paid for, and overall--it was fine to get around. Returning was pretty seamless, but did take a little longer than I would have liked, but it was nice that they were open on Sundays. I wouldn't hesitate to book from here again. read more

Visited this location because I had made a reservation through Costco for a rental car as I was going out of town. While I was in the Uber heading to the location I got a call from the business stating they had no cars available. Not quite sure why I was allowed to make a reservation then but I explained that I was in an Uber heading to the location. The women on the other end stated that they had nothing. When I got there they were able to put me in a Nissan Frontier, which I really appreciate. The staff was super nice and professional. The vehicle though, discussing. There was food stuck to the steering wheel, boogers on the horn, and pocket change still in one of the cubbies in the truck. The truck also drove poorly and had over 35,000 miles on it so it seems the vehicle isn't being maintained or cleaned. The truck had California plates on it so it's likely someone rented in CA and drove to AZ and it seems they didn't clean the car before they gave it to me. The truck also only had 1/8 tank of gas, which was kind of inconvenient. I wonder up returning the truck the same day because it was dirty and I didn't like the way it drove. The branch in Chandler had vehicles but they wouldn't swap out for me so I wound up going with Budget. read more

We rented a mid-size vehicle, for a week, while my wife's was in the shop. Upon return, they noticed a small crack at the very bottom of the front bumper (skirt), which we did NOT cause. (One would almost need to look under the front bumper to even realize it was there) We even washed the vehicle, at a "touchless" car wash, and returned it cleaner than it was at pick-up. Yet, we were told that our deposit ($200) would be held, and they would be submitting the issue to their damage dept. for further review. We had no recourse, other than to accept it and later go through the process of disputing with their damage dept. The Manager was polite and just doing his job. However, it doesn't not negate the fact that we were held responsible for damage that was NOT our fault. This, in spite of being told, at pick-up, that any "dents / scratches less than 5 inches wouldn't be counted against us." BEWARE of this place, unless you're willing to "roll the dice" on getting charged extra if you don't notice even the slightest damage before leaving their lot. read more

We reserved a vehicle for a Fall Break getaway to Prescott Az at a lovely Vacation by Owner home. The vehicle, a Chevy Equinox, was awesome but there were some discrepancies pertaining to the original price quoted for the rental per day and an added charge for a younger driver fee, that was never disclosed to us. The SUV was just perfect for us. In the final paperwork, there were discrepancies that changed but were not disclosed to us. When bringing back the vehicle I got the pleasure of talking with the manager there, I think his name was Corey. He helped me with the misunderstandings and took care of the discrepancies. This Enterprise's customer service was excellent, and we will be returning again for any other rentals that we would need :). read more

During todays visit I use all the proper forms of identification and payment, and they still wouldn't take my money. had ordered a car from enterprise on mcdowell rd and i called as i thought we might be late coming in from the airport. was told by mcdowell rd there until 6, took an uber arrived at 5:10 no one there. I was furious, luckily the uber driver hadnt left and took us to location 1815 N scottsdale rd, got there at 5:29- i cannot stress how helpful, courteous and professional Kyle the branch manager was. Within a few minutes he contacted the district manager and a few minutes later we drove off with a car for the same price. He was great as was Jay the management trainee.
