They like to overcharge consumers by forcing them to rent what they don't need. My sister-in law was in an accident and her insurance would pay 40$ a day but the rental place said she needed to rent a van for 51$. This seems like a scam to me . I will be blasting this every where I can read more

There are some old reviews that talk about bad service, so sonething here definitely changed! After returning the car, they sent me an email requesting reviews and that email had bad links. I can't imagine how many good reviews they are missing out on because of bad links in that email. In my experience, most people won't put much effort in unless they are pissed off. That was part of my movivation for leaving this review. The staff at this location are amazing! Friendly, efficient, knowledgeable, and thoughtful. A clean, pretty car is available at all rental companies (except the Enterprise location in my town of Wareham, of course), and the prices are higher than my own lovation, but this staff makes all the difference. I'll drive the 30 minutes and pay the extra money just to have access to the staff there in New Bedford. Adam G. and fairly certain the other person who helped me was Alex. Maybe I shouldn't be so impressed, but great customer service is so rare now that when I experience it, those people deserve praise. Service was terrible. They lied when we asked to speak with a manager and then they tried to bully and intimidate us. Very unprofessional. Absolutely the worst experience with Enterprise. This was the most horrible experience I've ever had renting a vehicle, and I rent them quite often for business. I rented a truck for a specific purpose and was quoted a price of $317 and then was charged $507 on my credit card. I called numerous times to resolve the issue and was told that someone named Shauna would return my call...but she never did. So, I ended up paying $190 extra for no reason...and without any explanation. HERTZ from now on!!! read more

Drove 30 minutes from home on Tuesday October 5th to rent a vehicle reserved by my insurance company. When I arrived I was informed that they tried to call to advise that the rental would not be available until Friday, October 8th. I did not receive a call or voice message on my cell phone. Nor was there a message on my answering machines when I returned home. I called on Friday,Oct 8th to confirm availability and was told a vehicle would be available at 11:30. Something came up where I would not be able to be there at 11:30. I called Enterprise 4 times in the span of 30 minutes to make them aware that I would not be able to make it there for 11:30 and after hitting the option button to change reservation, the call was disconnected. When I arrived at about 3:00 pm, I was rudely informed that the appointment was for 11:30. I explained that I tried to call but kept getting disconnected. I was then told that they gave the rental to someone else. I then asked if they would have one available tomorrow, Oct. 9th and was told he didn't know. Never once was there an apology for any inconvenience. I had rented vehicles from this location three in the past and I could not speak highly enough about the customer service. So this was my first experience renting from an Enterprise outside of an airport location. I must say they were very accommodating to my late arrive to pick-up the car; about an hour. The car I was given was a Chevy Impala. Honestly, the car looked like I had borrowed it from a family member. There were pretty noticeable scratches on the body of the vehicle. The car was covered in pollen and I had to ask to associate to wash it for me; which she did without issue. The car had a strong odor of stale cigarette smell, which intensified because I'm not a smoker. I was only issued one key, which no automatic opener. This was a pain because each time I threw the key in my bag, I had to empty all the contents out to simply find the key. Further, the car had less than a quarter tank of gas and the oil change indicator came on the first day of driving the car. This experience will not prevent me from renting from Enterprise in the future, as all of my previous experiences have been great. However, I will definitely not rent from this location again. Side note, the sales representative was very polite, helpful and accommodating to my needs. read more

Had a great experience with Enterprise Rent-a-car. The pick up and delivery was great. The only negative thing about Enterprise Rent a Car is that they are no longer offering the 9.99 a day weekend rental. That is what drew me to move from Hertz to Enterprise. Now that they have chosen not to offer that deal I will return to Hertz. read more

I have been a repeat customer until today when i went in and couldnt find an updated gas/light bill then the want to give me an attitude when i told them i have been here many times and the never asked for an uptodate paid bill..now they do credit checks to see if i have paid my cable bill ontime like really.. No longer will i provide my business to them.poor service always wait to have car cleaned before rental shouldnt it already be clean? Our just completed experience with the Ashley Blvd Enterprise location began and ended like our first rental with them - we left satisfied that we had dealt with a professional organization. Since my husband and I have rented cars for work and pleasure in more than 25 states and at least as many countries, we know something about renting cars. This last time we came back with small damage to the car. Instead of making us sit and wait until every auto at the location had been rented and then treating us like bad children, Johnathan immediately began to lead us through the claim process - explaining our side and his - as efficiently as possible. Johnathan has always impressed us as an exception to a bad rule at car rental franchises - he has skills. We've observed him mentoring his staff (kindly,) immediately suggesting solutions for unusual rental situations, exhibiting a pleasant yet business like demeanor - and most importantly - he makes things happen. So even though I'm not happy about a claim, I have the expectation that the Ashley Blvd/Johnathan Smart part of it will be executed with precision. So 5 Stars for the Ashley Blvd. location - and only that location. read more
