Just returned the car and Shawndrea was very kind and understanding. Insurance claim rental I've missed the closing hours by 15 minutes on a Friday to return the car, so was forced to keep the vehicle over the weekend. I was very concerned that it will be out of pocket charge from myself. I explain to her that I have picked up my fixed vehicle from shop late that evening therefore, by time I get there, they closed. She was very understanding and was able to waive the fee. The total process from renting with Jonathan to returning with Shawndrea was a smooth process, tho I did stress out a bit that Friday. lol. Definitely recommend this location if you need a rental. read more

Came to this location for an insurance replacement. Left uncomfortable forced into a car that wasn't comparable to what I drive at all. I kept Bamming my knee getting in and out of an old dirty dinged up Compact SUV. I wasn't able to choose a car like other people were. I saw several cars but was told someone was picking them all up. I just was requesting something other than what I was forced to get. I was told I needed a Major Credit Card. I am on medical leave and my cards are on a disability hold. Not able to access many funds until I return to work. I wasn't asking for an upgrade just something else. I went to two other locations to swap out my Vehicle took several hours of the day to do so. I have $50 a day coverage for replacement. I left pretty down and sad. I never been told I need a major card to change vehicles and everything is getting picked up weird to hear. I rented a vehicle which didn't work the next morning. I was asked do I need the vehicle towed I said yes it wouldn't turn on. The tow truck took an hour. I was told I would get a call back from a manager but never did. I then noticed I was billed for the tow even though I didn't have anything to do with a non working vehicle. I had paid my credit card and was sent on a wold goose chase. They didn't want to talk with me and was never told I would be responsible for a tow. I tried to contact corporate and deal with the manager. Why would I be asked to pay for a tow when it is their job to inspect if there is a problem with the vehicle. Our family cars were crushed by a tree that fell down during the storms, so we found ourselves needing rental cars until we were able to buy new vehicles. The folks here were sympathetic, efficient, and accommodating. They worked directly with our insurance until we used up all the allotted days, and then they made it easy to switch over to paying ourselves without having to change cars. Horrible. The car that I requested was not given to me. I reserved a full size Chevy Malibu and I got a Nissan compact, I was in such a hurry that I didn't notice until halfway to my destina with a family of 4. The windshield wiper was not working properly and it was raining heavily. I lost an item and the lady at the receptionist was not helpful, only suggested I visit the website. Without making this an essay, I just want to say that I went into Enterprise at the end of my month-long rental period thinking that I would have to put up a fight (there were complications btw AAA and Enterprise regarding who would pay for my vehicle). What I got was completely opposite of that! Julian, who was taking care of me from beginning to end, exemplified what it meant to provide good customer service, was accountable to his word, and really tried to work with me and AAA through the whole nightmare. I was rehearsing all the things I would say to defend myself bc I'm so used to companies being shady and going back on promises, but had the biggest sigh of relief when I didn't even have to say a word. This was a human dealing with a human. Thank you Julian! You have no idea how much I needed this break. I will surely choose and recommend Enterprise for my future rental car needs. I use this location quite frequently for work rentals. They always do try their best to accommodate us and their customer service is awesome! I've only had one not so great interaction with a staff member, and shortly after that experience, they no longer worked at this store. I would give zero stars if I could. I got rear ended and State Farm sent me here which is closest to my body shop. Called today to see if I was able to get a Tesla rental while my Tesla is being repaired. I should've known from the start when John asked what kind of car I needed and didn't even know what a Tesla is. I repeated it 5 times and he kept thinking I was saying Integra. After I asked if I could reserve a Tesla he said he's never heard of the car and they don't rent it. I told him I have had my car serviced from Tesla and the they set me up with a Tesla Model S as a loaner through Enterprise so I know for a fact they rent it. With all his sass he says, "Good luck, I've worked here for two years and we don't rent those." Ended up calling the Enterprise in Fremont that works with the Tesla service center and they were able to help me. Do yourself a favor John and read the news a bit ok. Tesla's/Elon Musk are in the news just about every other day. Guess you don't know about those fancy electric luxury cars so you should keep your sass and attitude for when you're not working. Hi there, the car I got was pretty good, I had no issues with it at all. The service was good as well I would rate this a 4 and above except for one issue. I was in a rush to drop it off since it was almost closing time and I left my wireless earbuds in the arm rest and I called to get them back but "they were no where to be found" That is a lie, they were in there. I hope someone will contact me to return them, please check again. As of now I wont change the 2 stars just because of the lack of honesty. But I will change it if I could get back my belongings. 5/11/17 I have Allstate Insurance coverage and was recently involved in a minor car accident. I was sent to Enterprise Car Rentals to rent a car while my vehicle was being repaired.(Oakland CA 98th Location) I previously had a bad experience with Enterprise and made up in my mind that I would never rent from them again. However, I decided to give them another try. I currently have a Midsize SUV and I thought they would accommodate me and put me in a vehicle similar to mine. When I arrived at their car rental location on 98th Ave in Oakland CA., they tried to put me in a smaller car. I explained to them that I have children with 2 car seats and that my kids could never fit in the car they tried to put me in. The Enterprise agent came back and told me that they had one SUV but I would have to pay the difference. I told him no and that they needed to put me in a Mid size SUV, similar to what I was having repaired. He reluctantly matched my price but was in a serious attitude because I wouldn't except the vehicle he was trying to put me in. He took me outside to do a walk around the car and it was filthy. I asked him if the car could be washed he told me no and that I would have to take the vehicle as is. When I opened the back of the car we found a razor blade where he just picked it up and threw it away as if we would't mind. At this point I was tired and took the car because I had to leave in order to pick my kids up from school. My 5 year old found two more razors blades in the back seat so I decided to clean the inside of the car out myself because I didn't want my children to hurt themselves. This had now become a safety issue. Upon cleaning the car, I found beer bottles and left over food inside the vehicle. After thinking that I did a thorough cleaning of the vehicle, while taking my kids to school I find three COCKROACHES in the back seat of the car! I almost crashed! My kids started screaming so loud that it made me nervous. I called Enterprise Corporate Office to complain and they told me to take the car to the Enterprise (Oakland Airport location) and get a different vehicle. The replacement vehicle was an old (Dodge station wagon type) It was a big downgrade from my personal car but I took it because I realized this horrible company had nothing better to offer! NEVER RENT FROM ENTERPRISE CAR RENTALS HERE IN OAKLAND CA!!!!!!! (SEE PICTURES) My First time renting with Enterprise was June 2016 because my Allstate insurance gives me rental coverage threw them. I decided to take my kids on a road trip to Disneyland and to my surprise the car wasn't service. I called the Enterprise I rented from and they told me to take it to jiffy Lube, come to find out there not covered threw jiffy Lube so I ended up paying for a oil change. What makes things worse the car broke down on me and It had to get towed back to Enterprise. I was promised a free rental for my inconvenience and never received this coupon the manager promised me. read more

I had to rent a car here when mine went into the shop. I confirmed a compact from this location through the enterprise website. I get a call the day I'm coming to get the car and the representative tells me all they have is a minivan and it would be $15 more above my confirmed rate/day. I asked if they could give me a discount or upgrade since I was confirmed for the compact. The rep said she already applied a discount! I then asked if the airport has a compact and she said she has no idea what the airport has. I was sort over a barrel since I had no car, so I took the rate. I've rented enough cars in life, especially from Enterprise, to know any rental company honors a confirmed rate if they have the car or not. The minivan I received was clean, so I'll give them 2 stars. They get -3 stars from 5 they would've received for the customer service fail. read more

I don't want to be too harsh, because I got a good deal on a rental & the agent was very nice. But when it came time to return I called ahead to make sure I could get a ride home & even though they're the closest branch to me they said I'm too far! We weren't done discussing but Then we were cut off so I called back & waited on hold for over 5 min several times, to hold music that repeated over & over that they were the company that 'gives you a ride.' When I arrived it was unclear where to drop off, & when I wandered into the office there was no one there for at least five minutes. When they arrived there was only one agent & they helped 3 people ahead of me even though I was (apparently) 1st in line. After about 10 minutes of that they said I could go and would get a call later after they checked the car in. I never got the call. read more

Someone keyed the hood of my vehicle and AAA insurance provided me a rental with Enterprise. I got picked up from the auto body shop from Elisa from Enterprise, she was very friendly and helpful with providing me a rental. After my vehicle was done with the paint job, I left my vehicle at the auto body shop and the rental company just picked it up the shop. Julian, assisted with the return of the vehicle and informed me with information regarding the return and made it very easy. Elisa and Julian provided excellent customer service! read more

Booked a car rental pick up appointment for Geico Ins claim. The representative booked the reservation over the phone and when I showed up to pick up the car rental I was questioned about why I was picking up a that location and not at a nearby location. We proceeded with the conversation and essentially was told that they did not have a comparable car after they had confirmed the reservation. I was even lectured about the car shortage and low availability which is not relevant because I had a confirmed pick-up appointment. I wasted 2 hours in travel/waiting time. I have filed a complaint through Geico and will be escalating. read more

Do NOT come here! My dad rented a car a few times for family trips and everything ran smoothly until some lady (i think her name is Eliza) overcharged us. She was claiming all the extra charges were necessary when she made us pay twice as much as the original price. There were no damages to the car, everything was okay. The two gentleman who had helped my family before were super nice and broke down the pricing and charges beforehand, but we had a big problem with her and the way she charged things. Good car, drove well, friendly and mostly helpful staff, however, overall I found the rental experience confusing and disappointing. I reserved online, and was expecting a lower price due to that. Because of how it was explained to me at pickup, and the quoted price along with the fact of a deposit to hold the car, I didn't check to make sure that they hadn't offered on services that I declined when I reserved online. I accepted one form of insurance (basic), however, I didn't check for things like roadside assistance, which I have through my insurance and so didn't need, but had been included even though online, I had declined them. In addition, upon settling up after returning the car, the daily charge had almost tripled from the reservation quote. Luckily, I noticed this and the staff willingly changed it back to the reservation price, which helped with what felt like price gouging. All in all, the price came out to well over what I had intended because of add-ons that were not made clear enough. While I understand that I should do a better job of reading over the contract, the explanation of the contract (as well as confusing acronyms on the bill) and the fact that there seemed to be no following of the reservation online meant that this car rental experience left me with a bad taste in my mouth of feeling used by the company unfairly. It did do a good job of helping me know what to watch out for next time I rent a car. I think this experience is more indicative of the practices of Enterprise, because the staff was very friendly and helpful. Because of this experience, I probably won't be renting from Enterprise again however. read more

quick and easy, but then again most of the airport locations are. There was a line so the manager told us we could go to the pick up area and do the paper work there. It probably saved us about 15 mins which after being on a plane is very helpful. Drop off was a two minute process also. They just checked the gas level and sent my receipt electronically. read more

I was thinking of giving them a 4 star because their systems were down when i went to pick up and drop off the car, but they were friendly enough for me to not. The guy who helped me here was Joey - really friendly and professional. Got into a car accident and their insurance was paying for a rental, this place was near to the auto body shop. Picked up a 2012 Nissan Altima, and was in a bit of a rush. Joey told me it would take about 10 minutes for them to vacuum out the car and run it through the wash, but I was in a rush that I had to go, and asked if it was ok if we just did the paper work and I would take it uncleaned. He said that was fine, and asked if I wanted to run the car through the power wash real fast though, which i was fine with that. Upon returning the car, he remembered me (it was only 2 days) and was just as kind. Had one of his coworkers drive me back to the autobody shop, and she provided some great conversation as we drove back to Bay Bridge Auto Body. Thanks for the great experience you guys! I gave this place one star because I had to wait 45 minutes to get a ride back home .. with only two people working in the front service was slow and the fact that they say they will pick you up and drop you off but you have to wait 45 minutes. I don't think I would recommend this place to a friend not the way I was treated today. read more

Micky, Brandon, and Ryan have gone above-and-beyond to accommodate me in my many rentals here (I've rented 5 times now). I'm impressed with their caring attitude, professional manner, and "thinking outside the box" -- they really go out of their way to listen to my concerns and help me in any way possible. It feels like a small family-owned placed rather than a corporate business. All the cars are 2012 or newer. The place is simple, clean, and their slogan should be- "if they can, they will". Also, the other people around the place are friendly, happy, and willing to give their opinions on reliable cars, or fun cars that they have in stock. Check-in and check-out has always been super fast and convenient. Location is also right off the freeway. Oh, I should add that the first time I came, I was dropped off at the wrong location across the street, and the guys in service (a father & son that both worked there) took me with their personal car to the main entrance, helped me with my bags, and made sure I was ok. 12/1/18 Update to the review below: I sent my response to Enterprise at the email provided by David R. it bounced back because I wrote the wrong email. I will update my review to help other Yelpera. I rented from Enterprise because my car needed extensive work at the car repair shop.. I specifically asked for the cheapest car they had because I had a finite amount of money from my insurance company towards the rental car. As a rule, I do not use the maximum amount given to me from my insurance company because I do not know how long it will take to get my property back and I do not want to come out of pocket as I am a single parent and struggling. I specifically asked Enterprise for their cheapest car to rent. I was given a car but the one they wanted to give me was not working when I went to get in it. They guy gave me a Nissan Rogue. I asked was this the same price as the car and told, "yes." Twenty days later, my car is not ready and Enterprise calls me saying my rental agreement is up and the car is due back. I'm confused because I have the cheapest car and have accommodated for an instance like this that my car has taken more time than expected to fix. My adjuster informs me that I am paying $43 a day and the allotment for the car is depleted. I called Enterprise and am told it must have been a misunderstanding. No, there was not and I feel taken advantage of and because it was my insurance company's money they just did what they wanted without being transparent. I take ownership that I should have not relied on the word of the Enterprise associate and clearly reviewed my contract. But I can't excuse the sneaky way business was done with me. No one informed me that their stock was low and that they could not fulfill my request. This was not a mistake. I use Enterprise all the time for business, pleasure and when my car is in the shop. They have lost this customer indefinitely. read more
