    Very disappointed with Avis at Oakland airport. We received an email saying we could get rapid pick up without standing in line. We followed the link and it was to Clear where you have to pay $189 per year. We called to see if they give you a discount or pay Clear like Amex does but could not get an answer. We showed up at 2:40 PM for our 3 PM pickup and did not get to the front of the line until 3:40 PM. Almost an hour wait with no compensation. Yet when we drove up at 4:10 PM, about 20 minutes late they charged us $53 for one hour. Because of the delay, we missed an event we paid for in Yountville but do they care, I don't think so. We rent a lot from another enterprising [see what I did there :) ] car rental place and they do things so differently. Because my wife put in the rental in her name I could not put the car in my credit card, which is what I typically do. May try Avis again but if the situation is similar, we may be going back to another rental company. I hope we can fix this situation, we'll see!

    Price of the rental was nearly doubled from "fees" that are added on. Complete rip off, I'll never use this business again.

    Absolutely awful. Took me 45 minutes to book a car online. Attempt to integrate with Amazon and AARP failed miserably. Never again.

What I encountered was end-to-end excellence, from customer service to their excellent moving team. I knew our move would be a large one, so I booked a 26' truck and five-person crew. As the day of the move approached, I had lots of last-minute worries and questions and Sam, in Customer Service, answered every one and generally calmed my nerves, assuring me my move team would assist if we needed last-minute help. On the day of the move, the team arrived right on time. The foreman, Guillermo, assessed our situation and calmly confirmed my suspicious that we'd need two trucks (this my error, not OnTrack's). Before I could panic, he had contacted his team and we arranged that ours be a two day move. Guillermo's team wrapped our furniture and had the truck loaded swiftly. At the new house, we had a few of our family help direct traffic. I'd labelled every box with a color-coded room label and the team got everything to the proper room. On day two, Sammy -- part of the original crew -- acted as lead and we repeated the process. Here, a number of items still needed a bit of packing and his team had everything done in record time and -- bless them - marked the boxes for the proper room destinations without prompting. As I now unpack, I'm finding everything in excellent condition and couldn't be more grateful. We'd heard stories about moving nightmares and wanted to share a happy ending. Guillermo and Sammy were AMAZING and their crews were very hard working. Tips: my sister had a table of bottled waters, bags of chips, and other snacks ready for the team when we arrived at the new house. The team appeared grateful for the sustenance. We also tipped each person individually, in cash.

I had a very small move including: 52" flat screen 42" flat screen Standard 5 drawer dresser, approx 6ft 5 seater sofa (breaks down into 2 sections) Coffee Table Desk (very light) Standard rolling office chair California King sleep number bed 6 hours. Both buildings with elevators, both less than 15 feet walking from elevator to truck/truck to elevator. 6 hours. They allocated 2 men for the job, which based on the inventory I could find a way to understand. But this was almost the equivalent of a fully furnished 2 bedroom home. 6 hours and not providing any form of concession is absurd. And nice gentlemen, but this wasn't exactly white glove service. Half of the items they didn't even ask where I wanted them placed or oriented. And they tracked over my brand new rug multiple times no booties even though I was adamant about that before the move began. Used a slow, manual hand wrench to try and take a flat screen TV mount off. Maybe power tools would have been better/faster? Didn't have a door stopper... maybe a moving company has a few of those handy for jobs? 6 hours. Would not recommend, wish I could do this over. 6 hours.
