He mentioned that because we brought the car back early that we would get reimbursed for it and it would just take 3 days for us to see it. No attention to detail. I needed to rented a car because someone rear ended me and their insurance company made me rent from Enterprise. I was going to need the car for a couple of weeks and initially got a nice vehicle but 2 days into the rental period the service soon light came on and when I called them they wanted me to return the vehicle and said they would have one available to swap out. So, I gassed it up and returned it and surprise, they didn't have a car for me so they gave me one that was sitting out back that was dirty, barely had gas and had damage all over it saying I could return it later and swap it out again. I should have never agreed to this. When I returned this p.o.s car they said I had dented it. I literally drove it home and back to their shop. Now they are trying to send me to collections to pay for damage I had nothing to do with. Beware. read more

I recently rented a car from Enterprise and was extremely disappointed with both the customer service and the quality of the vehicle provided. The customer service team tried their best to manage the branch. However, it seemed to be overwhelming for the staff. They seemed to be moving around doing "things" but not delivering cars to customers. The constant message was "your car will be ready soon". When I got the car, I was met with a number of opportunities to upsell me. Secondly, Once I was given the keys to drive away, I noticed a horrible smell in the interior. A combination of smoke and cheap body spray. I've tried to call and swap the car for the past 3 days but the response has been that I need to physically stop by and see if there are any cars available at the time of arrival. Their lot is still empty... Overall, my experience with Enterprise Rental Car was extremely disappointing. I expected better customer service and a higher quality vehicle. I will not be renting from Enterprise again and would not recommend them to others. Update: the team got me into another car. Can't tell it has anything to do with the response to my initial post. I've been coming to this location for a while. It's normally a little wait, but the customer service has been excellent with absolutely EVERYONE I've ever encountered here. Sometimes I see the same faces & sometimes I see new faves. Today I saw a new face. Nice young lady who multitasked excellently. She reminded me a lot of myself no matter what is thrown your way she made it look easy. Thank you so much Alana. I remember last year calling this place back to back to back no one answered. She is actually one of the first people I saw answer every phone call while in there 25-30 mins. That was excellent while still helping everyone else and having a great attitude towards the end of the day. I'll bet, without exaggeration, I've rented approximately 30 cars from this particular location. It may be a different guy each time but they're always 100% on top of it! I rent cars often, all over the country and this location gives a constant, exceptional business experience. It's how you wish all businesses ran with more than adequate and pleasant staff with a predictable result. Lately, I've been requesting mini vans and they always hook it up with your classic Chrysler Pacifica. Adequate, predictable and efficient on gas. read more

My insurance made a reservation and provided me with a reservation number. I called this location to confirm and pick up my car - I was not able to get a hold of anyone all day. Unable to get a hold of agent/manager est. Phone line seems to be always busy then get disconnected which is really frustrating. Update review. I called again this morning and I was able to speak to Tyler D. and further assisted me with getting my car rental set up and he also apologized for the inconvenience this has caused me yesterday and scheduled me for a pick up. read more

Small staff at the location and consistently busy, but always ready to help! I had so many things go sideways during the car rental period, all of which was through no fault of their own (high demand for rentals in Alameda County for the elections, vehicle break-in while parked, etc) and they were able to take care of every issue right away. I interacted with most of the team - Biruk, Kieth, Namdi, and Tyler (sorry for any names spelled wrong) - and they were all fantastic to work with and left me feeling much better after each interaction. Highly recommend going to them with your rentals! Also, easy parking area and within walking distance to food places if needed. read more

Needed a rental during a stressful time. After, my car getting hit... I came in greeted by Tyler who was the manager and has the best customer service! At this time there weren't many options to choose from and so he accommodated me with a luxury suv. The other gentleman who was working at the time, walked me to the car and sat inside to help navigate the radio, other buttons and bluetooth options. I was very pleased with my overall visit, it made my car repair time less stressful. I would reccomend coming here, even if I just need a rental for other needs. This experience was top tier. I arrived at open. A car wasn't ready so the manager on staff went ahead and vacuumed the vehicle while I paid. They were very thorough and friendly. The car was nice a clean, and ran like a champ. The car was being covered by the "at fault's" insurance so I opted to pay for coverage out of pocket in case anything happened. I got the bill from them this week for a rental insurance coverage, a month after I returned the vehicle. read more

This place has a horrible customer service. My mom went in to get a rental car and they made no effort to help her with her request. Hire people who know what they're doing and not idiots that aren't helping when they're working in customer service. Maybe it's the horrible pay they make so they're angry and take out their anger on customers. So sad, but definitely recommend you going somewhere else. read more

I initially reserved an economy vehicle for $74.88 per day, for an overnight trip to Pismo Beach, but decided to upgrade to a compact sized car advertised for $80.41. However, after signing up for Enterprise Plus membership at no extra charge, the fee was discounted to $72.18, and I received a fully loaded 2022 Toyota Camry SE which was a comfortable drive. Their Alameda Branch Manager, Tyler Deitrick advised that if I wasn't able to return the car before their office closed at 5:00 PM the following evening, I could drop the keys off in their lock box and pay for the rental the next day. The next day I arrived when their office opened at 8:00 AM and was charged for only the two day rental fee. The only concern I have is that although I had reserved the car a day before the rental period and asked for a home pick-up at 8:15 AM, I didn't get a ride to their branch until an hour later which delayed the start of our trip. Considering the increased morning traffic in the Bay Area, especially on Southbound 880 freeway, I'd suggest their Alameda branch open at 7:30 AM to get a jump on the morning traffic. Other than that, I appreciated the friendly and professional customer service I received from Tyler and his Enterprise Rent-A-Car branch crew. read more

I rented a very clean Altima from this location for a week. As any smart person would do, I reserved online ahead of time to make sure this location would have a car available. I also completed the customer information online ahead of time. I experienced great customer service from start to finish. Friendly, polite, quick and easy. I arrived at maybe 8:15am and there was already 2 people ahead of me. I think they are pretty consistently busy, so you can expect to wait a few minutes. I was there a total of maybe 10-15 minutes at pickup and same at drop off. I am hoping I can rent at this location each time I need a rental. The only reason I may not is because there are sometimes lower rates at other rental agencies at OAK airport. read more

My grandmother made a reservation at 1 o'clock for us to pick up a vehicle. We "checked out" at which point they started cleaning the vehicle at 1:45pm. They did have chairs for people to sit in which was good because my grandma is disabled but waiting an hour for a car when you have a reservation is ridiculous. On top of that they offered to pick a vehicle that was ready at our reservation time but we'd have to pay an upgrade fee. I've been to other enterprise stores and I've never had to wait for a vehicle at my reservation time. In fact I've received upgrades for free when they didn't have the original reserved vehicle ready on time. To avoid waiting even longer we had to settle for only cleaning the inside of the car. We left at 1:55pm. I'll never come back to this location. read more

We just got a rental car this morning because of our flight getting cancelled. We had an easy experience here. Everyone that we worked with was positive, even with the massive influx of people due to flights getting cancelled. While we didn't have problems getting a car, for those that did need something bigger like a truck or car with 4-wheel drive, when dealing with those that did the employees were positive and providing solutions and information on when those cars would be available. I have rented from this location on several occasions but recently they have started requiring an auto insurance policy number as a condition for rental. This is counter to Enterprise's stated policy on their website and unfairly excludes renters who don't own a car. Prospective renters should beware as this arbitrary requirement is not noted on the Enterprise website when making a reservation and could delay or even ruin people's travel plans. read more
