Don't bother making an appointment, you will have to wait. Then when they give you a car it will be soaking wet, literally just washed all windows dripping wet & filthy inside. They try to get you to sign agreements without showing you what you are actually signing. I only took a few pictures but I've never had such a bad experience with Enterprise before. Got to the location and there was one guy working with 8 people in the waiting room, he checked me in, said nothing for the 45 minutes I sat waiting for the car, finally to pull up a compact car and tell me thats all he had left and if I didn't take it I'd have to wait behind the other customers who were waiting behind me. We had to rent a car for a week. This Oceanside location is convenient. Not a lot of cars to choose from. The entire car rental industry is buried in UN-rentable cars, because of auto manufacturers recalls and poor tires. Every rental business has dozens of cars waiting for repairs on recalls. Also they have to replace a lot of worn out tires. But, we get a SUV type Jeep. $100 per gas tank fill! Yikes!! The office is busy, yet customer service is excellent. The ladies we spoke with take their busyness in stride. Their cars are nice and cleaned. Customer service kudos go to Rachael. We had the misfortune to leave a garage door remote in our returned Jeep. Rachael promised to track it down and return it. And, She Did!! Great attitude and always a smile from Rachael. Enterprise has really gone down hill... Our car is currently getting repairs so they sent us to enterprise to get a vehicle to use in the mean time. Originally we were put in a surburban because they didn't have anything that would fit our family and we agreed to paying for the extra over the weekend and getting a car our insurance would cover completely come Monday. Monday comes around and they throw our family of 5 in a very small truck with hardly any room for a diaper bag, and our strollers. Then told us they would "upgrade us to a Tahoe" and claimed it wouldn't be much bigger which is false but alright. It's now Sunday and we have heard absolutely nothing from enterprise. At least now we know to not use enterprise going forward. I'll also add the truck we are in has brakes that need changed maybe even the rotors and doesn't feel safe to drive. When I called and mentioned this as well as the strong Oder in this truck they shrugged it off saying they may need to be replaced soon. Real nice read more

This is for the location connected to Len's Auto Body in Oceanside, CA: Simply put, this was not a good experience. We arrived for scheduled pickup at 8am, the vehicle wasn't ready until almost 9 (we had to adjust our tight schedule because of this), there was a large scratch on the trunk the sales person did not point out, they made us "wait for it to be cleaned" almost an hour but the inside was still very dirty - so many smudges on the inside windshield we had to clean it ourselves to see properly, the "needs maintenance - change oil" alert kept popping on for the entire trip (not the renter's responsibility), and the convertible top was broken in a few places due to previous wear and tear. Maybe retire or sell the car instead of continuing to rent it out? I also asked if I needed to initial or sign anything and they said it was all taken care of verbally at the counter, which doesn't seem standard. We rented a vehicle at an enterprise location in San Ramon, CA just last month and it was a breeze. Not sure how the same company can be so different. Note: we still have this vehicle for a few more days, I will update this review if anything unexpected happens at drop off as well. read more

This location is just down the street from my auto shop, which you'd think would be convenient. I reserved a car first thing in the morning, before they opened, for pickup at 9:00. and I got a call on my way in to the shop that they were out of cars. "How late can you pick that up? We don't have any cars, but we're expecting to get some returns some time today." I've got to be at work at 10. To be fair, the manager was extremely polite about it, and it did seem like he was trying, calling all the locations around town, but they were apparently all out. He called me back and let me know he hadn't found anything, and would keep looking all day. Thanks, lots of effort, but it still didn't help me get to work. I ended up taking Uber to work, and my car was done in the afternoon, so I too Uber back home, but that was $100. So the one star in this review isn't for the location - it's for Enterprise in general for letting me book on the web site when there are no cars available. I was stressing out because there were a lot of car renters that week but Bobby and his team came through for us in grand style. They are patient with despite of my frustration and in the end it all worked out. He was able to find me a vehicle to use the week and I was able to do my job up North. Note: When I rent a vehicle I always treat like it my own car. I make sure it's clean both inside and outside. It doesn't mean just because you are renting it you can abuse it, that's disrespectful and unethical in my opinion. But that is just me and I'm not asking anyone to do what I do. Never rent from this location! I rented online through Travelocity a few days prior, received the confirmation email. One would think that means I have a vehicle waiting for me. I even called the day before to ask questions about the vehicle I was informed at that time that they had a vehicle for me. I travel and rent from Enterprise in many different locations. Not really impressed with this location. The cars were dirty and the customer service needs improvement. Feels fake and sales pitchy rather than genuine and authentic. Same attitude I felt from their neighbors at Lens Auto Body next door I experienced when getting my vehicle repaired. I originally rented a Kia Optima. I noticed the same day the TPMS was on. I watched for the next 3 days the tire pressure drop in the back right tire. After finding out the status of my vehicle, I called this enterprise location to inform them on the vehicle. The response I got was "so did you take it to get the tire serviced with air?". My response is irrelevant at this point, but I basically stated I'm not in the business of doing other people's job, sort of like when I rent a hotel room type deal I'm not going to troubleshoot why their refrigerator or television isn't working. I then reported a few other items that bothered me but was actually good with and not going to make a big deal of. I reported a large old McDonald's soda cup that was still in the compartment with old melted ice and left over soda and the vehicle being dirty both inside and out. I was able to swap out with another vehicle but I noticed it was also dirty inside and out. I don't think, I know this place needs immediate customer service improvement, and they need some leadership to ensure the vehicles are being properly serviced, cleaned, and maintained. I like this location, it's close to my house, but don't come after a holiday or at least don't have plans for a few hours if you need a car or need to drop one off. What could have been a perfect rental experience was screwed up with the rush of customers all coming in before closing time. Yes, me included. There were only two people working also so that didn't help things go by any faster either. The lady that helped was extremely sweet though. I forgot her name but her customer service skill was spot on and she apologized to all the impatient customers waiting in line about a dozen times. The guy that did the run through with the car was awesome too! He did try to sell me things that I already declined from the lady but he reeled me in. Haha. Attitude is everything, I guess. The gas level was half full or half empty :) But because there was a wait he said I could return the car empty so that was great. Free gas works. Free anything is even better! Great customer service! I rented a vehicle from 7-10 May 2019. I utilized the online reservation system which was user friendly. I initially reserved the vehicle to be picked up on 8 May but ended up needing it a day early. I called the office on 6 May and spoke to Travis. He was very professional and helpful. He took care of it and arranged for me to be picked up by one of their staff. The following day I was picked up by Dave who called me once he arrived at my home. He was very professional as well. We both performed an inspection of the vehicle I was renting and he explained, thoroughly, any questions I had. My overall experience with this office was perfect from start to finish. Phenomenal!!! I called instead of booking online, my Uber driver actually brought me to the wrong Enterprise so I showed up unexpectedly to them. They were completely out of cars. Some wonderful ladies said not to worry we will figure something out. Then they proceeded to call every location and other rental companies to find me a car. Then they had a return a brand new Mustang convertible they asked if that would work for me I said that would be great but I wasn't looking to spend that much I just wanted a compact car to drive around. They again said no problem we will give you this car for the compact price. Exceptional service, they owed me nothing I just walked in. Just phenomenal women and beautiful as well. I've rented several times in the past. This office always had great reps working there with rare exception. My experience started okay. My daughter and I were off from work on the day of pick up. So we decided to drive in together since we didn't need a pick up. It was 90 degrees this day and I was allowed into the office so I could sit out of the heat. I have a medical condition that makes standing long not an option for me. I also do not tolerate heat well. The registration process went smoothly. My daughter and I dropped off my car at home and we drove to my medical appointment 40 miles away. My car is not in good shape and I didn't trust it could make the trip. The next morning my daughter had to go to work. As I've done several times in the past, I took the van back to the office. (Daniel) refused to let me in the office. He instead brought a chair out to me and put it in the sun. This day was also 90 degrees. I had to move the chair into the shade. After he finished checking in the van I asked how long before I'd get a ride home. He told me they no longer give rides home and I could call someone to come get me. I was NEVER informed at any time anywhere I needed to provide my own way home. I told Daniel I was NOT paying to get a ride home. Had I known in advance my daughter could have made arrangements to go in to work late so her disabled mother wouldn't be stranded. Daniel said he would pay for Uber, then later said Uber wasn't available. I was really upset. During all this he sent another person off on an errand. After this other man was gone Daniel then me tells me that when the man that just left returns after doing a delivery he will drive me home. I noticed that Daniel had problems practicing social distancing. I lost count how many times he stood with in 2 feet of me, at times up to 20 minutes as he pulled customers by me because I was in the shade. Because of all these delays, which were already very upsetting, I ended up missing my grandson's online graduation ceremony. I had just missed it. I immediately filled a complaint to Enterprise customer service while the situation was happening. I was told the Regional Manager would be calling me back. He never did. read more

uh... yeah. This place sucked. Tried to schedule for a pickup the night before. The lady kind of did a weird panic thing and told me to call that next morning. Called the next morning. Scheduled for my pickup to be before 10am to get a van for a road trip and so i could run errands before the big trip. I waited... and waited... until 10:30am. So I called them. They told me I had never called them. ARGH. frustrating! But then they said they would come immediately to pick me up... so my frustration subsided. ... so i waited some more. I kid you not, the person arrives at 11:15. The employee talks the whole time about how much he loves living in PB because it's such a party scene... I'm thinking in my head, "Is that why you were late? are you hung over right now?" We get to the place at 11:30. The Enterprise sign that says "We'll give you a ride" is glaring at me ironically. By the time I'm done with the whole process, it is about noon. This was a huge contrast to the experience I've had at other enterprises.
