BEWARE I initially had such a pleaseant experience renting an SUV here. The manager went above and beyond to ensure they found one for me and she even stayed a few minutes late so I could pick it up. Upon return, everything went smoothly. I did a walk through with the agent and there was no damage in sight and the gas tank was returned full. It was not until 4 HOURS AFTER that I received a call from the same branch manager stating that there was damage to one of the side mirrors. She claimed that it was hanging off its hinge. There was absolutely NO DAMAGE done to the vehicle during my rental and there was no damage to the vehicle upon return. I find it extremely unprofessional that blame would be placed on me 4 hours after the return of the vehicle after a walkthrough had been performed and papers had been signed. If the mirror was hanging off the side of the vehicle the agent and myself would have seen this. Interesting to note that when I returned the car there was no parking available in super tight lot so I was told to leave the vehicle in the middle of the lot and they would re-park it once a spot was open. How am I to know that the mirror wasn't damaged by an employee trying to park the car once a spot emptied or otherwise? PLEASE BEWARE AND DO YOUR DILIGENCE BY TAKING VIDEOS AND PHOTOS. I have rented from here several times now and I have nothing but good things to say about the customer service and the vehicles. The staff go out of their way take care of you. Caleb has been particularly helpful! My returns have been spot on with no extra charges. You will usually get a car where the fuel is not full, but that's OK. You return it about the same level. I have usually returned it with an extra quarter of a half tank because it's hard estimate how much gas youre gonna use. I've rented two pick up trucks from here and both have been in excellent condition. No issues at all driving them. They also price competitive with other rental locations and this one happens to be near my house so it's a quick walk to pick up my rental vehicle. read more

I had a rental pickup on Saturday, 6/6, and walked into a packed lobby with a lot of frustrated customers waiting. There had been a staffing shortage that day, and the Area Rental Manager, Brittany Conley, was the only person working. What could have been a chaotic, tense situation was handled with remarkable grace. Brittany greeted every customer as they came through the door, took their name, and assured them she'd help as soon as she could. She worked steadily through the line, one customer at a time, and her calm, friendly, and genuinely helpful attitude kept everyone at ease under real pressure. When it was my turn, she went above and beyond to resolve a one-way drop-off issue on my rental. She even handed me her business card and told me to call her directly if anything came up. As someone who owns and operates a business with more than 150 employees, I know how rare this kind of service is. I wish I had more people like Brittany. had an almost entirely positive experience at this ENTERPRISE RENT-A-CAR location mostly because of Caleb who handled the pick up and drop off. he was helpful, congenial, and made the process reasonably painless. there was next to no inventory (absent was the pick-up I reserved/requested with two weeks heads up) and options were limited. I was left to chose between a nondescript coupe, a POS Jeep Compass, and walking for three weeks while my kid's Tacoma got fixed. I made the right choice but only barely. read more

first of all, the only car they had was a black Volkswagen. I'm renting in the middle of summer during a heat wave and that's all I had. Secondly I was told by my insurance company that they will only cover the insurance portion if the contract is in my name. The person at fault has an insurance company that doesn't cover the insurance on the rental. They are supplying for me so I had to buy insurance. I was told $20 a day. When I got the bill, I was charged $29 per day. Multiply that by 15 days it's a painful increase. So no, I do not recommend this company. I tried contacting the company. I made it in before closing and had keys in my hand in under 10minutes- the price was super fair too it was actually noticeably less than the competition. Booked a car online. Pick-up at the location was easy. The staff were all pleasant and friendly. The car wasn't quite ready for me. It needed to be washed and cleaned. I waited about 15-20 mins. The transaction overall probably took 30 mins. On the road and halfway to our destination, the car began to ding and the dash board lit up. The "change oil/filter" light came on. The icon for bumper collision also lit up (we did not hit anything). Returning the car, there was an issue with charges. I brought it up to their attention and it was resolved to satisfaction. So if they make a mistake, give them the chance to fix it and resolve any problems you may have with them. Some folks thinks that just because they rent a car that they can abuse it and trash it. The problem with that is that Enterprise staff will have to spend more time cleaning rather than renting it to the next customer. As courtesy respect, and discipline, I treat my rental car as if it's my own vehicle and try to keep it clean for the my family and for the next customer. I rented a car on 8/4/21 via the Enterprise website. We'd been on a road trip in a rental sprinter van for a week - we needed to drop our van off and take the train to Burbank. We decided to get a car for convenience so we could get to Burbank earlier and meet up with friends that we seldom get to see. (We're from the midwest.) I got my email confirmation for pickup at 2:00. When we went to pick it up, I was told that they were overbooked by dozens of cars, ours hadn't been returned yet, and it wouldn't be available until 4:30. We had return our rental sprinter van, so this was an inconvenience, but manageable. They said they would call around to see if I could get a car at a nearby location and call me. I didn't hear from them, so I called to find out if they'd had any luck. They said no. We waited until 4:00, then went to wait for our car (hoping we might pick it up a little early). There were three people waiting ahead of us and only one person in the office to help customers. After helping one woman get her car, the staffperson started to help another customer, looked up, saw us, and asked if we were waiting for a car. I said yes, gave him my name, and he said they our car wouldn't be ready until 5:30 - delays like this happen with same day reservations sometimes. We had to get our van back to the rental place, so we left. We didn't trust that they would have a car for us at 5:30 (they close at 6:00pm), and our options to take the train were terrible, so we had to pay for a Lyft and a crappy place to stay in Oceanside that night (last min prices, high season). We also lost the fee for our first night in Burbank (no last min cancellations), and, most importantly, we missed a night with our friends. The most frustrating part of this is that, while we were waiting for our rental car, I was checking websites to see if I could find another available car. Enterprise kept showing up in search results as having available cars at the location we'd rented from, as well as nearby locations. This is really unethical. If we'd known from the start that there were no cars available, we would have taken the train early in the afternoon and wouldn't have wasted a day of our vacation and a lot of unnecessary money on hotels. When we got home, I sent a message about my experience to Enterprise customer service via their website - I never received a response. I've always had good experiences renting from Enterprise before, so this was beyond disappointing. Shame on you, Enterprise. You should be better than this. read more

I won't be renting w this location again. Worst experience ever . Actually I've never had a bad experience with Enterprise ever , before now ( And I've been dealing with enterprise for years. ) This was my first time renting from this location though and I won't be recommending them or renting from them anymore. I "reserved" a vehicle for a certain day/time and when I arrived they told me they wouldn't have any cars until evening. It was 12 pm when I arrived . mind you I had no vehicle to leave in so we were just gonna have to stare at eachother in the lobby til they had a car ( or so they made me believe ) til they realized I wasn't going anywhere. Then all of a sudden they thought to check me out there & escort me to Carlsbad location for a car. (Guess they ddnt want to stare at me for hours) . Anywhooo they overcharged and their customer service was horrid. (Carlsbad location was much friendlier and it's nice to know they have wider availability) *fine piece of chocolate was there when I returned my vehicle. I rent from this Enterprise multiple times every month for work and personal use. The cars are always clean / without issues and the shuttle service is super convenient! Even when the staff is super busy early in the morning or right before close, they are always so polite and professional while dealing with multiple clients at once. Never had a bad experience at this location. Once when I had a situation where I had to use the car for slightly longer than 24 hours, they adjusted the reservation as a courtesy so that I could just rent for 24 hours instead of 48 (they only rent cars in 24 hour increments). Tip: They definitely can get busy so make your reservation as far in advance as you can and if you are reserving last minute, always speak to someone at the branch to confirm there will be a car available (the corporate booking center isn't always up to date on what each location has in stock). read more

This Oceanside location has served me many times. Sat July 27th, 2019 they surpassed all expectations. I arrived late due to traffic driving from the airport. We walked in and were told they were closed. My jaw dropped as my Dr friend had to be at work a few hours later. The gentleman behind the counter was diligently working with the other 4 customers who walked in prior to my arrival. I'm sure a couple arrived late as well. He was very patient with all of the customers. The customers were actually trying to assist him as well all knew he was busting his bum to accommodate all of us as quickly as possible. He did a remarkable job and went way beyond his duty as an employee. When I turn my car in I will make sure to get his name and update this review. They are scammers and fraud and do not recommend to anyone to use their services unless you want them to sap your bank account and charge anything that you never thought you could be charged for. Minor dings and scratches on a front bumper of a rental car that was 3 inches off the ground led to additional endless charges exceeding $1000.
