When I need to book a large car for an extended family trip I was panicked by all the reviews online (across all car companies) about people showing up and having no car. I made sure I was super proactive to help myself and dropped into Enterprise (on Lincoln) a week prior as well as called them the day before and went to pick up the car just after opening at 830am. Across all those times staff were lovely and confirmed that I was all set. Once I went to pick-up the vehicle the process was quick and easy and I drove out with the large car I needed. Really happy with my experience here and will use again. But knowing how the car rental biz works these days I'd also take steps to check in on your car prior to pick-up date, and pick up at the earliest time possible. read more

Over the holidays it seems everyone needs a car so every location of Enterprise will be over subscribed. Same thing happened to me over Christmas 2024 when I was visiting. Pro tip: Do not rely on phone calls because the team members are occupied with onsite customers, this location is consistently short-staffed, and there's no time to answer incoming phone queries. I have to say the young team members left to fend for themselves behaved with grace and good manners. Call out to Faith the sweet lady, Juan who never flinched or showed irritation and Jasson who patiently extra-washed a car to make sure my experience was not compromised. As well the cleaning staff does an outstanding job turning around the steady stream of cars being dropped off. This operation is as difficult as a major airport hub in handling exchanges of vehicles to various different parties over various different periods. I was thoroughly satisfied with the extraordinary way in which the customer service people here handled customers while under duress. I kept the car a second longer period instead of returning it on the date I said I would. Seamless customer experience. The staff drove me to another location in San Gabriel to pick up my car because I arrived later than my estimated pick up time. Great choice of staff Enterprise, please give these priceless young folk a raise so they can continue to work in Pasadena. read more

Have used Enterprise off and on for years and always been satisified with their efficient no hassle service...but not this time. First I tried to book online but could not find a suitable car so I called this location directly. Call got picked up by someone with very poor english and after a torturous 15 min call of repeats and clarifications completed the reservation and was told they could pick me up in about an hour. I ubered! When I presented my Paypal co-branded Mastercard they refused it . It is a regular credit card that I have used for years at plenty of national stores and have never had it turned away. Momentarily taken aback I then realized that I had 2 virtual cards in the digital wallet on my Iphone. Not acceptable either! I then offered my Visa debit ..no again and ditto for a visa debit attached to the loc on my home. When I checked their website later most of these should have been totally acceptable. In the end they reluctantly agreed to give me a ride back home to pick up another card ( i brought 2 just in case) and the rental was completed. What should have taken about 20 mins wound up taking around an hour and 20 mins. Very disappointing and quite frankly I found the whole experience quite weird! read more

The service is usually great. Today was an off day. I reserved a mini van due to needing space for a long trip. Even though I reserved one online, "the one they had was rented out earlier"! Cheyenne was super helpful and called a few other Enterprise Rent A Cars without any avail. I was informed there were "recalls" to a lot of their mini vans and the one other mini van on the lot they had was "purchased". I was offered a 4runner or a volkswagen SUV. These are smaller type SUV's and I definitely need a mini van type. I waited and waited for Cheyenne to see if there was any other options. He said they could give me the Chevy Surbaban or The Ford expedition and the prices were $40 more a day, than I expected. He dropped it off to an extra $25 a day with a 1/4 quarter tank! We all know the gas prices and I misunderstood the 1/4 tank. As I returned the vehicle, I was told that it was 1/4 tank credit and not necessarily come back with 1/4 tank, which was charged $7.00 / gallon because I was given the option to fill it up, but due to needing to go to work, I didn't have the time to do this. They couldn't even honor the $5.39 pre filled options. Not to happy this time around and I was told to call ahead next time to ensure there is a minivan, which doesnt make sense because I reserved a minivan online. So whats the point of reserving online if I need to call as well. With that said, I am even an enterprise plus member, so no kind of love for this. I wont be back soon, because of this feeling of being "up sold" and not clear about the 1/4 tank. So I paid an extra $150 then originally quoted for the minivan. The Ford Expedition is a great vehicle and definitely had enough room and comfort. But again that's not what we originally planned for. Let's chalk this one up to an opportunity to do better the next time. read more

Someone had called in sick that day leaving them very short staffed and it was very very busy- Brian who was running the inside operation somehow maintained patience, a huge smile , was bending over backwards even for the rude and impatient customers there! Absolutely the WORST costumer service I've ever received from any car rental agency. Since our usual South Pasadena location was closed we were rerouted to this branch . The elderly female agent working at the counter on Saturday 8/29 should be disciplined by Enterprise for her unprofessional and utterly despicable attitude. From the start, there was no proper greeting, smile or even the minimum curtesy. We had reserved a full size SUV from enterprise website but when the price she quoted onsite was $30 more/day ($69 vs $99), I asked how the branch could ignore the reservation price. To my astonishment, she rolled her yes and with contemptuous annoyance stated, this is our price take it or leave it. So leave it I will; I have been renting full size suvs from enterprise for our weekend road trips since 2014. It is unfortunate this experience has sour my trust in the company, especially during covid pandemic. I sincerely hope the branch will reach out to me so I can provide full detail of my experience. read more

Juan - where do I even begin? A young man who has been raised right, a gentleman par excellent, a leader, a statesman, a customer's ideal person to wait on him or her...especially in a crisis. When I began renting a car in February, 2023 after a total loss of my car in February, I was sent to 827 Glendale Blvd. in Glendale to secure a rental for the time period for which I would be looking for a new car. I was treated horribly, by Cindy and shockingly, Christian Lopez at this location, so HORRIBLY that I transferred my rental services to Pasadena. I was so broken for several reasons due to the loss of my car and what this would entail. To now have had a very evil and incompetent staff harrass me was not what I had expected. Fast forward, I called the Enterprise on Lincoln Blvd. in Pasadena. Juan answered the phone. The Lord spoke through this young man. He had a gentle and calm demeanor that translated through him answering the phone. I had not told him about my experience. I hadn't even given him my name. Yet, I indicated that I would be coming to his location. With a professional tone, he gladly told me he would see me then. A couple days went by, and I came into the store. His visage was the same as the tone of his voice. He is a gift from God. So understanding, so calming and a true champion for people. He patiently awaited as I had to work through the matrix of errors that I had to PAY FOR due to the negligence, racism and fraud of the Glendale location. Once I was able to gather my funds, I was able to re-rent my car with Juan and resume business. Juan gets his customers. As I talk to folks who have rented in the past at this location, they all acknowledge it is Juan who is the reason for such a customer service-oriented experience. Juan is an American hero. A legend of sorts. Thank you, Juan! You are a leader, a stand-up guy and HONEST person with INTEGRITY. Your generation NEEDS YOU to lead them as an example of brass service. God bless you, Sir! I made a reservation for a car in Pasadena - Fair Oaks and when I arrived at the location I was told that I needed to have the entire total plus $300.00 available on a Credit card. But when I made the reservation they only said I would need a portion of the total amount on a credit card. I had a cc available for $250'p and a debit card for the balance and that was not going to do it. I was already in a jam having to get the car to go to Palm Springs to retrieve my husbands truck from a towing yard while he was dying in the hospital that day; they knew my situation and still were not human enough to get payment in a little different way. Cash is cash in America but not at Enterprise. 60 years of my business every time I rented out a car all for nothing when a person is having a difficult time there is no one anymore who cares. I've never been in such a bad situation before and it didn't go well at all for me. My husband the love of my life ended up dying that night and my second option of having someone that he knew but I really didn't have much contact with before that day gave me a ride home but when we got home and I was picking up documents I needed while she was in the car waiting she stole all the $$ out of my wallet and through my purse out the door and took off. I haven't heard from her since and in the meantime my husbad past away so I couldn't even ask him WTF. A bad day in the life! read more

I I will never use enterprise again. I used enterprise in Detroit Michigan. First of all the car was not ready, and we were held up for two hours in the office. Then the car we got had not been cleaned and it was not user-friendly. Then they would not let my sister be added as a driver without m y returning to the airport when her flight came in. We had to go to a Detroit office to get her added on. Then the office made me pay another $395 for collision insurance which I had paid for through Expediia. Finally when we returned the car, I complained and David the person in charge said he would refund my money. However, that never happened . The charge was still on my American Express bill I received todays. read more

Very bad experience at this location. I've relied on Enterprise for 20 years in many countries and they have usually been great. That's why this experience was notable. And bad. First, I had to spend 30 minutes calling nonstop to reach them so they would pick me up (the main reason I pay more for Enterprise!) The main office even had trouble reaching them. When I arrived, they were standing around with nothing to do. No customers. Yet I had to wait ANOTHER 30 minutes while they washed the car they offered me. Totally unprepared to provide their basic service. The WORST part. There were 2 INCHES of SODA in the cup holder under a flap. When I dropped by Apple AirPod into the cup holder, they sat in that soda for 30 minutes and were ruined. A $199 LOSS. When I returned the car, they said "sorry..." No gesture of generosity. No token discount. No sign that they realized how bad it was that I had to pay TWICE what I paid for the car because of their incompetence! When I returned the car, there was only one person working. Only one customer. Yet she still could not call for her driver to take me home. Nearly 20 minutes passed before a guy returned from lunch and kindly drove me back, despite his terrible assistant manager doing nothing. Enterprise is great overall. This place, absolutely not. These are too many problems to be explained away as a bad day. They don't even seem to be aware of the problem. Clearly, their regular service is very poor. Even hazardous to your devices! read more

I have always had a great experience with Enterprise in the past. This time I came in a bit early for my reservation, but the car I requested was unavailable due to lack of availability at the location. The only two vehicles available at the time of arrival were more luxurious and needed extra verification which I was trying to get completed. Employee Faith D. was helping me and started to appear overwhelmed by the amount of people coming in to do a return. At the same time, I was trying to get a better understanding of what was needed to get the vehicle passed over to me when she started to become rude and unprofessional. At this point I had asked to go to another location to get a car closer to the one I originally requested for comfort and hassle reasons, I mentioned multiple times that I did not mind waiting. Another employee proceeded to take over in assisting me, he was able to confirm that the original vehicle I requested had just come in, in the mentioned return batch. Faith proceeded to talk poorly about me directly in front of her fellow employee who was helping me. Continued to walk outside and make disrespectful comments about me to other customers that she was now assisting which made me more uncomfortable on top of the confusion I was already experiencing. I understand that work can be stress-inducing but this is no way to handle a manner of this type. Juan says that the car is still being rented and he will call me tomorrow. Tomorrow is here and no call. I call them again, another employee says that Juan (manager) is looking for a convertible for me. I specifically wanted this car as a special trip to go up PCH with a long time friend. Reserved a car from Enterprise at their Westmont, Illinois location. We arrived 45 minutes after the reservation time. We were greeted by the branch manager, Aly Somani. He said you are late and we gave the car away and I will have to see if we can get one from another office. I asked why they don't inform the customer that there is apparently a grace period and the car will be giving away. His response "I don't even want to rent a car to you anymore." It was 3 of us, my elderly 78 year old mother and us two elderly couple in the heat of July with this discriminating, rude, power happy manager. He left us without a car. While I was making phone calls outside for alternative arrangements one of his own employees approached my husband and apologized. Clearly he knew what a terrible inhumane discriminating boss he has. I reached out to corporate 3 separate times and no one ever got back to me. I guess the regional manager or Enterprise corporate don't care either! We were diacrimated against by race and age! The people at enterprise off of Lincoln Avenue for the most part, at first , got me through fairly quickly. Their cars, however, poorly taken care of and when you get inside them they are dirty inside and out. They don't clean them even in Covid-19 times. The last time I reserved a SUV, they offered me one that was not the type of car I asked for and it was filled with dirt, dry grass and torn seats, filthy dirty and smaller than the one I reserved. They said they would call around to find me a car and never called me back. Poor service, dirty cars, I can't believe people rent from them. I have rented from enterprise in other parts of the state and their 100 times better. This one is not indicative of the company. read more

I don't usually go to this location - after this experience I will keep it like that. The actual process of getting my rental car wasn't the issue, although on a Monday morning with only 2 employees working it seemed as if they were overwhelmed. My issue is with the actual rental car, and the process afterwards. I waited to get a "clean" rental prior to me taking off to work. I was told if I had any issues with the car I could bring it back and switch it out due to the limited options on that Monday morning without any issues. I get into the car and realize that the inside/outside is still dirty(inside is filthy with gunk/sunflower seeds under the e brake, foot prints on the dash, grease on the mirrors and on the back/front windows from the inside). I called a couple of days later to switch out the rental which didn't seem like an issue. I come back the day after 1/31/19 to switch the car out, and forget to fill it up (it's at 1/2 tank). Being a frequent customer of enterprise, I know customer service is one of the company's main focuses. I also know a lot of your clientele are business/employed persons using rentals for work. First, your employee Chris doesn't acknowledge me walking in until I actually say something. Mind you he's eating a sandwich in which I'm positive he's on the clock bc he acknowledges me mid chew and is sitting at a front visible desk. Now he asks why I'm returning the car, and I tell him it's filthy inside, has exterior damage, and has out of state plates. He then proceeds to ask if it's filled up without even a concern or acknowledging with what I just mentioned. I remind him and he informs me that it's 5$ a gallon to return it at 1/2 tank. Ok, I left to fill up the car and he informs me he'll have all the paperwork finished when I return. I walk back inside where Chris proceeds to sarcastically state to his coworker Hassan, mind you he's now fully invested in his sandwich, "he's here because the car was too dirty, it's dirty go switch out the dirty car...". I should've stopped him there, instead I let it pass. Now I inform Hassan if Chris was being rude/sarcastic as he walks me out of the lobby & he cuts me off and states immediately "let's not even go there." Now I'm thinking, did he just say that? & I'm sorry, but Let's go there. I'm not too sure what type of training in customer service they provide at this location, but I work in the healthcare field, & I have a good understanding of how to speak to and treat people. I drove in traffic because I was provided a filthy car in which I was assured would not be an issue if I wanted to switch it out. I'm not one to be made a joke out of, and I hope Chris and Hassan learn some manners. I will be sure to inform whomever there manager is of this experience. Icing on the cake is the car they give me was less than 1/4 tank - pretty much empty! Talk about great customer service and just being aware of your inventory or lack of working with an upset customer due to all around poor service that was provided. Good luck to Chris and I hope your sandwich was worth it. I've been to this location multiple times and they are usually helpful... but today a man named JUAN was there and I've never felt for disrespected in my life. I called to reserve and the call center stated that they had a car available, I get there and JUAN doesn't greet me, doesn't even look at me just asked for my reservation... I told him the I for he needed and he says they don't have that car and they only have a bigger suv and a luxury car available. Me being on a budget I wasn't planning to spend that type of money. First the car isn't here and now I have to come out of pocket for your company's mishaps! To start, this is a very busy location to no fault of their own. The gentleman that was working today was very kind and pleasant. He was very easy to work with, and was overwhelmed with how many phone calls and customers had walked in. The reason why I am giving a one star review is due to the female employee with blondish hair that arrived at 9 AM. After about 30 minutes when we first got to the lot, she showed us to a car and told us we would have to pay extra since they didn't have the type of sedan we had requested. I had asked her why do we need to pay extra if you do not have the vehicle we requested (my fiancé's car had been rear ended, and we took it to an autobody shop, which is why we needed a rental for the time being). She had such a horrible attitude when I asked that question, shaking her head/scoffed, rolled her eyes and walked inside. The gentleman we had worked with earlier came outside and tried to finish the rental process. We decided due to the time spent and the horrible experience with the female employee we would go somewhere else. We all have bad days, but I would not tolerate that if I were the manager. My catalytic converter was stolen and it was bound to be a miserable day. But Geico came through and set me up with this Enterprise. Nick picked me up from where I was stranded, we had a great ride and then to my surprise, he was also the one who helped me pick a car once we got there. He was kind enough to realize I probably wanted to rent a car similar to the one Id be buying to replace my broken car, and was just really kind and helpful about the whole thing.
