I don't rent cars too often, though I had dropped my car off at Bell Honda for a recall, and Bell Honda covered the cost of a rental at Enterprise Rent-A-Car for the day. They called over to this location of Enterprise Rent-A-Car, and an employee drove over to Bell Honda to pick both me and another man up. They came over in a timely manner and drove us safely over to pick up our own car rentals for the day. When I arrived at the counter to pick up my vehicle, the employee quickly got my vehicle prepared, answered any questions, and then brought me out to the vehicle to walk me through anything I needed to know and ensured that I walked around the vehicle to note anything out of the ordinary. I was told that I could return my vehicle to them directly or right to Bell Honda for them to pick up later if that was more convenient. When I returned my vehicle, I did bring it to Enterprise, but there was a long line, so I eventually brought it back to Bell Honda. I did witness the Enterprise employee try to help an older man out by getting him exactly what he wanted even though he may need to wait a little while for the vehicle he wanted to arrive (later that day) from another Enterprise location. I was impressed with the positive customer service at Enterprise. During a typical week, this location is open on weekdays from 7:30 AM to 6 PM, Saturday from 8 AM to 2 PM, and Sunday from 9 AM to 1 PM. While they have pick-up service available, they do not currently have after-hours returns available. This location did not deserve any stars! I don't expect much on a rental car, but at least a clean and safe vehicle upon pickup. They must think the customer don't check the interior of the vehicle. It was disgusting with trash not picked up and the steering wheel all sticky. They provided a Clorox wipe, but it didn't work. It was still sticky. I have rented from Enterprise previously and had no major issues, but not this time around. During the long drive, we noticed the car hood didn't shut completely. Luckily, the car hood didn't open, which would cause major damage and injuries. That was extremely dangerous on the road. The tires low pressure light came on as well. We had to stop by Discount Tires to check the tires. There was absolutely no quality control of the rental vehicle. I highly recommend checking the vehicle, especially the oil, car hood, and tires before signing the rental contract and driving off the lot. read more

I had a fantastic experience with renting from this Enterprise location. I started my rental on a Saturday afternoon. I chose a standard sedan rental for a total of 4 days. When I first arrived for my reservation, Logan was very friendly and helpful in checking me in. I waited about 5 minutes while they were very busy, but prompt to help the line. Another gentleman escorted me to the parking lot to a new and very clean and well maintained Nissan Sentra. This was my firs car rental, so I was unaware of the $200 deposit that was needed on top of the rental price. The rep was very informative and patient with me as I moved money around and even helped me with a way to pay for less days than extend later. Throughout my time with the vehicle, I was very satisfied knowing I had unlimited mileage and that this specific vehicle was very good on gas. It was inexpensive to refill before dropping the car back off. At drop off, there was another gentleman that literally greeted me as I got out of the car and swiftly helped me drop off in less than 5 minutes. I didn't even have to go into the building. He was very kind and quick. I have to applaud the entire team there and I will absolutely be returning in the future! read more

Okay, it's now almost the fourth quarter of 2023 and the rental car industry is still not quite where it was pre-COVID. I mention that because my two most recent rental experiences in the past two months were flat-out awful. From zero customer service to filthy cars. Which explains my shock when I got a nice clean car and the people were actually human! The Enterprise Rent-A-Car near Bell and 7th Avenue is hiding a few steps away from the dealership I use to service my vehicle. I was picked up in a clean car by Chris. He was friendly and we chatted on the short drive back to get my rental. Rental car agencies are apparently still struggling to keep inventory on the lots, but I got lucky and my last minute accommodations were met. They only had three vehicles available and one had to be cleaned. It was only a brief wait, and what a surprise! The car was clean inside and out and it smelled fresh. I'm not even going to describe my previous experiences. Trust me when I say it was borderline disrespectful. Thank you Enterprise for doing your job and doing it well! read more

I had a great experience here! Which was a much needed happy surprise, since the reason I even needed to rent a car was because of being in an accident. It was minor, no one was injured, and it wasn't my fault, but as these things go, it was stressful nonetheless. After having to deal with my insurance (which sucked) and the other driver's insurance (which also sucked) it was nice to have an EASY experience for once! I simply walked in, the small entrance was pretty busy but I was still helped fairly quickly! I worked with Alayna who was absolutely wonderful! She was knowledgeable, friendly, efficient! She's the reason the process went so well. I was in and out of there within 15 minutes! Drop-off was also seamless! I would happily use this location again. read more

I always rent from here when I need a vehicle for whatever reason and don't want to use mine. I recently rented a vehicle from them and there was a computer glitch but they were quick to fix it and honored the rate I was quoted online when I made the reservation. They were great with communicating with me when I dropped the vehicle off to make sure I was satisfied with the pick up and drop off process and to make sure everything was fine. I was highly satisfied. No one can help that the computer glitched, I was just very happy that they were able to keep my reservation at the amount I was quoted online. read more

I will never rent from this location again. I've rented from Enterprise many times and never ever had this experience that I had today. Upon my arrival, I started to take a walk around the cars that I might be interested upgrading to. An employee then ran out and addressed me rudely. He probably thought I was going to do something to the car knowingly I am a dark skin individual. I advised him that I am a customer and I just arrived to pick up for my reservation. His attitude then changed. I then walked into the business with the employee and advised him that I might be interested upgrading to the car that I was actually looking at before rudely interrupted by him. The employee then gave me two options of the suv I wanted, regular or sports. I told him that I want to look at both and later went with the sports. It was a very nice suv and I was happy... When I arrived home from picking up the vehicle, a couple hours later at approximately 340pm, I went to go drive it and noticed a HUGE oil leak from the vehicle on my driveway! I was livid! I called Enterprise back and they put me on hold and then HUNG UP on me 3 times! The fourth time I was able to speak to someone. I advised them the issue about the vehicle leaking oil on my driveway and they recommended that I would need to take it to Firestone where they would bill Enterprise or bring the vehicle back to exchange. I took the vehicle to Firestone that is 15 mins away from me. They advised that I would have to come back tomorrow. I then drove to another Firestone and they told me that I would have to leave the car here and they would then need to contact Enterprise to confirm about the issue. I gave up and had to rush to drive 30 mins all the way to the location where I picked this up because I only had 30 mins before they closed. While I was driving I called Enterprise back and they kept me on hold for over 20 mins so I hung up. I would be so livid if they close before I get there to due to their issue that they sent me with. Upon my arrival, I walked in and approached an employee and explain to them everything that had happened about the oil leak, huge oil stain on my driveway and going to two different Firestone and they're telling something different than what you had said. All they said to me was, I don't remember speaking to you about this issue. I said someone here knows about the issue because I talked to someone an hour ago. She responded back by saying, "we have an equinox available."I said "no, I need something like what I had rented." An equinox is too small. The vehicle I have now you guys told me that if I wanted the regular or sports model. Now I would like to switch it to the regular since the vehicle is still in the lot and it was one of my first previous offer. They told me that vehicle needs an oil change. I laughed, and said l, "that's interesting you guys offered me that before and I was only gone for 2 hours and now it's unavailable?!". They responded back by saying that "you were told wrong and it needs an oil change." She later then said, "never mind, that vehicle is reserved." Since when did customers able to reserve vehicles by choice!? All of the sudden, an employee jumped into the conversation and said, "we have a Mazda 9 suv that I can switch out for you." I told them, that would be fine since it's bigger than an equinox." The employee also stated that I'm able to keep the same rate with the original vehicle I had. (It should be noted that, I later noticed when I got home that the vehicle I have now, it's a downgrade suv!) I then walked with the employee to get the vehicle. When I got into the vehicle, I noticed that the gas tank was only 1/25 left. I mentioned that the gas isn't full and she said, "we'll accommodated you by allowing you to bring the car back empty". I then drove off livid because I can't imagine on what to do if they closed by the time I got there. My travel I had planned would had been ruined. I needed to leave town for an emergency. They wasted my time by sending me to all these Firestones while the clock is ticking at Enterprise waiting to be close. I don't know whether to feel pitiful towards your employees. I have never been so insulted or offended by such a remark from the employees at Enterprise. Lastly please reconsider to take care of your customers who has vehicle issues when leaving your lot. read more

Came in here to rent a car while my own car was at an audio shop getting a new sound system installed. I figured hey instead of paying an uber a total of $70-80, while having to listen to their annoying and forced convo, I rather do a day rental of only $58. So I went ahead and booked a "mid-sized" car (Hyundai elantra or similiar which isn't actually a midsized car but you already know how Enterprise likes to overclass vehicles) and they upgraded me to a "full-size" which ended up being a Chevy Malbu. Now, before being charged and handing the keys to, they proceeded to do the absolute most and ask for my employer. I've been renting cars for years in multiple cities/countries and have never.. ever been asked who my employer was. Not even sure what that has to do with renting a cheap car for a day. After accepting the $200 "deposit" (Yes. $200 deposit for a $58 rental), I refused all the typical insurance damage blah blah. I told them my rental would be covered by my credit card's insurance protection like it usually is. Ah that wasn't enough for these peons here...they wanted my actual insurance company's policy #. Once again...I had never been asked for such in life. Had to stand there and log-in to progressive to give these guys that info. After returning the vehicle, the worker decided to examine the car super thoroughly (even went as far as examining the windshield wipers). Comical..but let's keep going. I remembered that i had a mastercard giftcard with about $60 left on it. I asked the worker if I could switch payment to this giftcard and she says sure. Right before swiping she activated Karen-Mode and goes "lemme go ask so and so to make sure". She asks some other dude behind the counter whether she can charge the $58 to the giftcard and this dude activates Male Karen Mode. The dialogue goes as follows: Male Karen: "Sorry we can't". Me: Why?" Male Karen: "We're just not allowed to". Me: "Your website says other methods of payment can be used, including cash. The giftcard has a pin #, I can use it as debit" Male Karen: "We can't sir...uh..Just in the event of a potential chargeback". Me: "uh...a pin transaction? Wait....can't i chargeback with my actual credit card?" Male Karen: "Yeah you can but we would have your info on file". Me: "o_O". Me" "It's cool. Put transaction on original credit card. This company doesn't deserve a star. I have never been as disenchanted as today after returning a car to Enterprise rental on Bell Road. My husband and I picked up a rental car when it first opened on a Sunday morning. There were three very young, rather unattentive employees at 9 am opening time; however the first one to oblige us was Rami. There were no problems renting the car. Since my husband is out of town all week long and there is only one of me, I specifically told Rami I'd need a ride home when I returned the car, which was today, two days later than my request to return the car, and because of low staff no one could take me home. He said no problem. I felt very grateful for the service he provided us on Sunday and tipped him generously. For the past two days, without success, I've left messages for Rami to return my call to be driven home once I return the rental car because it was no longer needed. Employees at Enterprise say he's unavailable so someone else offers services to determine whether or not they can assist me. I asked Rami to return my call three time in the past two days to no avail. I spoke an other employee today because Rami was gone and asked if I could get a ride home and was told that I could. However I failed of all times to bring a facemask when returning the car. I am to blame for that. I was approached by a young apathetic female employee, first by law I did not have a face mask and as a consequence was refused a ride home from Enterprise Rental. I asked for a complementary facemask like so many companies offer during the coronavirus even though they charge at least they're available but there was none to be given so I was given two options: to drive back home and pick up my face mask and get penalized for taking risk of not having a full tank of gas, or find another ride. I opted to use Uber. What a and such an unnecessary frustration to endure in this heat. Waited outside until Uber arrived for 45 minutes. (On a sidenote I told Jason from Uber of my experience at Enterprise and that I did not have a face mask. He made a special effort to stop a a shop and purchase $30 worth of face masks,out of his own pocket, for me and for his his future passengers. Enterprise rentals does not choose to go that extra mile with either its unwillingness of employees or with its horrendous customer service, especially during Covid. I use enterprise a lot for work, but having a 1-on-1 experience is always different. I went in here on a Monday night, 15 min before close to pick up a car as mine was totaled in an accident. I was in pain, stressed, and dealing with a lot. This place took care of me QUICK! They were kind, quick handed, and had me out the door in 15 min with a great car. I rent at this location 3-4 times per month. The staff here - starting with the Branch Manager Armin Smailgic, and continuing through the entire team - are exceptionally courteous as well as efficient; a rare combination. I speak not only from my personal rental experiences, but also from observing the staff interact with other customers. This type of interaction, especially in the Phoenix summer temperatures, can fray nerves, and make customers rude; the staff's common response; "can I get you a bottle of water" and then, "how can I help"? They handle each customer's request as if it is the most important thing they have to do at that moment. Special shout out to Ka'lon who regularly picks me up, makes certain everything is in order with my rental vehicle, and gets me on my way quickly. I am so sorry I didn't get the mans name! But the man who got my rental for the dodge Van- 7-18-2018 @5:40 p.m I really appreciate your kindness! I had to get a rental because Bell Honda was repairing my vehicle and it actually took longer then expected due to warranty issues. It can be annoying and frustrating when you become Carless, and working, and just dealIng with life. We never know how much stress a person is under and how overwhelmed a person is because life hits at times like a ton of bricks. -but I would like to thank enterprise for there kindness! And being willing to work with me even on the day I needed a vehicle they didn't have one when I got there but the woman made an effort to look up one that was just right for my family and along with my client who is total care and dependent on a wheelchair. I am really sorry I should be better with names but the woman that helped me the day I got the rental was super friendly! Along with all the front desk at this location were very kind. -we always rent from enterprise when we were going out of town and always enjoyed the customer service! But after today and with my own vehicle issues being in the shop and the kindness this location shares I will only recommend this location! We reserved a vehicle ahead of time to make sure they had one for us because it was a van. Had an appointment for 11 get to this location and they didn't have the vehicle ready. Was told people sometime don't show up so they didn't have it available then why book in advance also why are we being inconvenienced for what other people do. So we end up waiting at the location for over an hours. The van finally gets here and it is completely dirty inside popcorn and dirt all over the ground so even though we reserved online we had to wait to get it cleaned so spent a total of 2 hours at enterprise and waisted time that we needed. They definitely need to have a better system for their online reservation whats the point if you still have to wait and the vehicle comes dirty. This is by far the worst experience I've ever had renting a car. Been here for an hr already and still dont have the damn rental car.

I've never thought to review a rental car location, mostly because over the past decade I've never had a substantial issue with renting a car. It's a pretty idiot proof process that generally is professionally handled. Unfortunately, this location struggles. Not only did I get billed a rate that was $9 per day more expensive than what my contract actually stated, but they also signed me up for the damage waiver coverage after I had previously declined it. I carry a million dollar umbrella policy that protects us, so I always refuse additional coverages. When I went in to drop off the car after having it for a week, the gentleman who helped me was apologetic and removed the the DW fees that had been charged to my card. I was happy. No issue. Mistakes happen. A week later, my card gets dinged for $128. This is when I found out that the rate I was quoted was not the rate I was billed. This was due to "issues with our iPad connectivity" according to Kate, one of the managers at this location. She told me she would fix the issue for me and give me a call back "in a few minutes," with the amount she was going to refund. 3 hours later I call her back as they were going to be closing. I wanted a remedy. I waited on hold for 18 minutes. Kate told me they had been busy and she had not yet worked out a solve, but that she would handle it as soon as they closed for the day, so that she could have some quiet time to get it done. She said she would call me back with the final result. I never got a call back from Kate, but I did have an appropriate refund go back to my card 4 days later. Organizations like this astound me. It requires such little effort to make a customer happy, even when a mistake was made. Don't tell me you're going to call me back and not do it. Don't make me waste my time, like it's less important than yours, by having to track you down. Not cool. It's disrespectful and unprofessional. If my insurance didn't use Enterprise, I'd never use them. Here's hoping the inferior hardware and processes (or lack thereof) get updated to better accommodate a positive customer service experience that incentivizes customer trust and loyalty. Because at this point, I feel neither for this location. read more

Made a 930am reservation. Showed up slightly before 10am and was told my car was getting an oil change and wouldn't be ready for 30-40 minutes. There are multiple next level cars on the lot and they are telling me I should pay for the upgraded car or wait until mine is ready. The women have a tough shit attitude and are blaming me for the delay. Because it's Friday they have more reservations than cars so by being late, without a disclaimer making the reservation, they "gave away" our reservation when we didn't show at 930. So in less than 30 minutes, without a courtesy call, they "gave away" our reservation. Bull. Trying to hold us hostage to pay for the upgraded car. Will not be returning to any enterprise in the future. read more

Coolest selection of cars. That's why am Enterprise Plus Member. Today I went to pick up my car (W. Bell and 11 Ave ), imagine my surprise. They offered me a Mini (from the Mini Cooper Group). I said "no thanks. "Anything else"? The lady (black printed blouse, foreign accent) told me I could have a truck. That's when I looked around to see if there had been a change of Management. I needed to get to work, and was leaving my car at the Dealer for an Oil Change. I agreed to the car and she asked about my car insurance. I told her I'm fully covered. She didn't believe me and said she has to call herself. After she did, she said "ok, but now the deposit is $200 as of July 1. My card wouldn't take the charge and I had to leave without a rental car. Would I refer my friends or family.....no never. read more

We got there and waited over three hours to find out they didn't have any cars available along with several other customers there that had been waiting. If only I could give zero stars. This has THE worst customer service ever. The so called "manager" kate, does not care what anyone else says, even when my insurance and the other so called manager and employee have confirmed i will be covered and insured on a car she simple would refuse to rent a car out to me out of the fact she would look stupid. Honestly she should not even be working. I just wanted to update this review. The previous paragraph was from a year ago, and my mother had to get her car fixed so the dealership paid for her rental. The same woman Kate, charged my mother and extra $29 that she didnt inform her about. My mother doesnt speak English well so she told her to talk to me on the phone, and she told me the only thing shes charging her for was the security deposit, and when she finished talking to me she told her to sign the contract. My mother never says yes to paying extra money so this Kate just took advantage of my mother. She is literally the worst at her job, everyone else is always nice and helpful. Seriously dont know how she became a manager. She should be retrained or demoted. How can someone be so terrible at their job, and disregard all customer service skills. She should learn to admit when shes wrong and learn a new set of customer service skills. You would be better off going to the enterprise on 43rd ave and bell rd.
