Had it all planed to go get it. Ended up checking 4 car rental sites. 2 were legit and said no reservations allowed at this time. Enterprise and thrifty allowed reservations. Thrifty is legit. Enterprise wants as many to sign up as possible with no promise of a vehicle. Improve by shutting down the online reservation when you're full. Doesn't matter what you do. The way the woman spoke on the phone proves you don't give two craps if you ruin a clients day. My experience with Enterprise was horrible. The vehicle I was provided with had a bad odor to it. The heater did not work and I froze driving to work. Also, when I arrived home the day I rented the vehicle, a warning alert came on saying there was no windshield washer fluid. Therefore, they obviously do not take care of their vehicles. These people run a deceptive business and doubtless have taken advantage of many people. My wife's cousin went in the get a rental and the employee totally took advantage of her. Just like they did to me, they asked her, "The tank is half full in your rental. Would you like to prepay for the gas fill up at $3.00 a gallon?" This is where you say to yourself that gas is running $3.15 a gallon. Why not? But he never told her anything about how they would slap on a $35 fee for the option, whether or not she needed the gas to be added. I got rear ended and was out of a car for a few days so my insurance covered a rental here. The car I was given smelled awful. Like concentrated chlorine. I don't know if that's just because they cleaned it or what happened, but I could barely breathe without the windows rolled down. The car also had very suspicious brakes, I had to press all the way down for the car to slow down. It was also very loud and noisy, like squeaky when you took your foot off the brake and loud while idling too. Concerning considering it was a 2024 but hey, nice to know not to buy a Mitsubishi. I returned it back because I just couldn't handle it anymore and luckily my car was ready the next day. I would definitely do I little test sniff or something before driving away. read more

Another words, if you return your car at the opening, they will charge you for the whole day, even though you didn't use the car for that day. That's some shady BS. If I pick up a car at 10 am on a Monday and I return it at 10 am on Tuesday, that should be one day rental. These guys are gonna charge you for 2 days because they will tell you it goes by calendar day. When questioned, they say it's how it's set up in the system. I call BS!! Avoid Enterprise. USAA confirmed my reservation with Enterprise for a recent accident. The associate that met me at the collision center was great. He walked through all the details with me and was extremely professional. We opted into a larger vehicle and were told it would be able $10 a day out of pocket which would be mostly covered by my $150 deposit. When it came time to return the rental, nothing was easy. Kolby was extremely difficult to work with. She attempted to charge $290. When I questioned the amount, she become combative and continued to tell me that I was not understanding how credit card holds work. After a couple days of communication, they agreed to reduce the amount owed due to "not understanding why my original contract said my rental was less than it should have been." My final communication with Kolby consisted of her telling me that I ate through my deposit and owed $190. I asked what my total out of pocket was and she kept repeating slowly, "$190". I asked how it was still $190 when I paid a $150 deposit. All she could say was "your rental ate through the deposit." So my understand was I ate through the $150, and I owe $190, so my rental cost $340. She took that understanding as argumentative and offered for me to speak to someone else. The line disconnected and she called back to say, "I'm not sure if you are hanging up on me, but I'm the manager so there is no one else to speak to." Then why the heck did you offer for me to speak to someone else?! In the end, she informed me that she was only calling to tell me she already charge my card. So I hung up, checked my bank, and to my surprise (not really because I understand simple math) I was only charge $40 in addition to the $150 deposit I already paid. By far the worst customer service experience. How Kolby is the manager? I have no clue. Thank you for telling me, "you are not understanding how credit cards and rental charges work." HORRIBLE customer service. Do not go here even if your insurance tells you to. Before even picking up a vehicle they were giving me a hard time. I requested a SEDAN and waited over a week for a SEDAN but stated they couldn't guarantee make/model. Okay understood. Day of dropping off my vehicle for repairs, the SHUTTLE I reserved took over 40 MINUTES to arrive. When I arrive to enterprise I waited ANOTHER 40 MINUTES waiting in line. Then they bring me a GRAND CHEROKEE JEEP which is NOT a SEDAN. I would not leave with an SUV so they gave me a Chrysler 300, a "luxury brand" vehicle that costs almost $50 a day. Now I have maxed out my renters policy with State Farm because of the price and they are saying it's my fault for requesting a "luxury vehicle". I absolutely did not request a luxury vehicle, they gave me whatever they had and it wasn't even clean, well maintained or even cared for. The front bumper and hood are all beat up and the brakes squeak and floors and dash were dirty. They were already closed so nothing was disclosed to me, they handed the keys and made me sign and took off. I have never stepped foot in this location yet they continue to say they have completed some type of business with me and I committed fraud in this branch. When picking up a vehicle, a $50 deposit is required, refundable when vehicle is brought back. The only card allowed must have a chip to pay and must be in your name... and they do not make exceptions so you would be out of luck if you don't have a new fancy debit/credit card yet. I started calling at 9am for a pick up, after 6 try's over 2 hours with no answer, I drove to the location. After renting a car I asked for someone to follow me home since I had to drive me car there, I was informed it would be 30min to an hour. The car I rented was disgusting!! There was drink spilled all over the cup holders and gear shift, food in between the seats, and stains on the seats. The antenna was apparently broke as I could only get 2 radio stations. The car kept flashing it needed an oil change and the headlight had water in it. I tried to call the location to exchange the car, but of course no answer. I rented from Enterprise thinking they were a premier rental company, they are not! I'm updating my review and changing two stars to three. I feel this situation should have never happened but, I do feel like Christoper the manager made it right when I returned the car. I have a corporate account and rent from this location routinely (3-4 times a month). The employees are really great and often give me a nice upgrade. This time however, because I dropped the car off after they closed and left the keys in the drop box, they charged me for a second day rental. Unfortunately, because my company authorized a one day rental, I'm on the hook for the second day charge. Have another rental reserved for this coming weekend that I am now canceling. This office is only open until 4pm on the weekends, so beware. If you get this vehicle back to them after that 4pm cut off time, you will be charged an extra day. I'm not happy. Clearly. So I am writing this review, but what's worse, is that I am communicating this event to every employee in my district offices in this area (1600+ employees) not to use this location, and better yet, go with a company who treats their corporate accounts a bit more fairly. Needed a vehicle due to an accident. Called Rowlett, who told me they had no vehicles, to call Rockwall, called Rockwall who only had a minivan, which rented at $9 a day higher than insurance. Suggested I call Mesquite. Mesquite said they would not have a car for another week. So called Rockwall back and asked them to hold the minivan until we could get there after work. After 4:00 we went to the Rockwall location, which took over 45 minutes due to traffic, (live in Rowlett). At that time they told me that they had transferred the minivan to Rowlett. So drove back to Rowlett (another 30 minutes) and he acknowledged that he had the van but it had been rented out. Rockwall did not tell him it was already rented, nor did they tell us they had moved it. Chris in Rowlett stayed after his closing time to get us a car that had just been turned in. So cudos to Chris in Rowlett, and thumbs down to Rockwall. Mgr told me that the employee I spoke to had only been there a month, but I explained that anyone would know that if a vehicle is reserved, that you don't send it to another store to be rented out. Doesn't take a month on the job to know you can't rent the same vehicle to two different people on the same day, nor can you send it to another location, when a customer is on his way over to you to pick it up. I called a couple of hours ago because my truck was ready for pick up from Caliber Collision in Wylie. I had gone in to Caliber Collision about a week ago with a rental reservation for the Enterprise rental in Wylie, email proof on phone. Whomever Caliber Collision talked to told them my reservation was with Rockwall and I would have to wait on them to bring me a car, so I waited about 2 hours for a car. Today I called Rockwall Enterprise to let them know I was going to get my truck and drop off the rental. The lady immediately cut me off and asked for my phone number, I started to tell why I was calling again and I got almost a word out and she cut me off again saying the phone number didn't come up. She asked how she could help me and I asked her if I was going to be allowed to speak. I started talking again and she again cut me off and asked if there was another number I might have put it under. She did not want to hear what I had to say. It was very tense, I asked for her manager and she said she was the manager. I said if I was allowed to speak I could explain what was going on and finally got to tell her about the Rockwall/Wylie deal. Finally she asked for my last name and I gave it to her and she was able to find my reservation at the Sachse Enterprise!! Well I have no idea how it went to the Sachse Enterprise, but I was glad my interaction with her was almost over. I asked her if I could leave the car at Calliber Collision Wylie and she said I had to go to the place I rented it. Again, just trying to assert her power or authority over me. So I called Calliber Collision and asked them about dropping off the car and they said I could just leave it with them, they said Enterprise always comes and picks it up and they were not sure why she was acting like that! So long story, I will never rent from Rockwall again! I have never, ever been cut off so aggressively over and over! She did not care what I had to say or whether she helped me or not! Her attitude never changed from aggressive even when she found out my rental came from Sachse and I would never have known that. I can't be the first person she has treated like this! I rented a car from the Enterprise Rent-A-Car in Rockwall, TX in June of 2023 and I returned it there on 6/12/23. There had been a hailstorm in the area the night before. When inspecting the car for damage with the retail agent, he noted 2 minor dings on the car, (I could only see 1). The next day, on 06/13/2023, there was another hailstorm at the rental location with 1 inch plus size hail. On 6/23/2023 I received a bill from Enterprise for $1,029.50. The invoice included damage that was not found by the agent when we inspected the vehicle. I believe I am being charged for additional dings that occurred to the vehicle the day after I returned it, or later. The damage documentation submitted by Enterprise includes hi-tech photographic evidence. Without the presence of similar photographs of the vehicle prior to my rental, this evidence is meaningless. Photographs that I took when returning the vehicle do not show the damage they are charging me for. I do not believe this is an honest mistake. Enterprise is knowingly charging me for damage for which I am not responsible. Nine months later and no one at Enterprise has been willing to discuss this. read more

I would have been without a car for a day if it wasn't for the great customer service over at the Enterprise in Mesquite off Military Pkwy. Word of advice Enterprise. I was in the rental for 3 months and this is the first time that I returned a rental car and didn't get hit with unpleasant surprises and mystery fees. In regards to a recent unfortunate experience I encountered at Enterprise rental car Rockwall Texas. On May 11 2020 I was towed to a tire shop, informed the repairs would take a few days, and was directed to Enterprise rental car. I was on my way to work as a front line healthcare worker, and was in uniform. During this pandemic, I am conscious of not wearing a uniform in public, however I was not prepared for car trouble. At this time, the Rockwall Enterprise site is offering only curbside assistance. I stood outside awhile, without being acknowledged, until a passerby knocked hard on the door, and pointed to me. The customer service rep then came outside. I explained my situation, and because of the delay in coming to the door, asked if I needed to place the car request online. He said no, he'd take care of it. He brought the car around, and asked if I worked in a hospital. I answered yes, and reiterated that I was actually on my way to work. He jumped back from me and asked , loudly, if he needed to disinfect everything after I left. I told him, again, that I was on my way TO work, and that I was clean. He finished up quickly, did not show me around the vehicle, nor did he show me the inside of the vehicle. He put the key FOB on the hood of the vehicle, and I took it. Once inside the vehicle, I realized I was unfamiliar with a push button start, as my car has a key start ignition. The customer service rep was already assisting another couple, and a second service rep was also assisting a couple. This Enterprise location is in a strip mall, and people were in and out of other businesses. As I walked up to the customer service rep, his eyes widened, and he jumped back against the wall of the building. Those around stopped talking and watched. I told him I was unfamiliar with the vehicle start up, and I held the FOB out, where upon he yanked his hand away and yelled "NO". At this, others in the parking lot also stopped to watch what was happening. I can not describe the degree of embarrassment and humiliation I felt. Had I not been so shocked, I would have had him cancel the contract and gone elsewhere to rent a vehicle. As a frontline worker, I realize people are afraid of the unknown during these unprecedented times. However to be treated in this manner of disrespect is inexcusable. I just dropped off a one day rental back at this location which is the same location I picked up. I just want to say I had a stellar experience from start to finish. I made my reservation online and then called once they opened to schedule a pick up. They scheduled me to be picked up between 11am and noon for a noon rental. They called ahead of time to let me know they were on their way and came and knocked on the door once they arrived. The driver was professional yet friendly. We had a light conversation which was pleasant and enjoyable. Once I got there, check in was smooth and easy. I had an intermediate which was the car I was picked up in, a Nissan Altima, and added on an insurance. The car could've been a touch cleaner but it wasn't enough to be dissatisfying or repulsive. Overall, I was comfortable. Upon dropoff, it was a very busy Saturday morning but the customer service was still stellar. I got in and out pretty quickly and was able to get help when I was thinking about extending my rental an additional day. I decided against it but I just want to give the team here kudos. I was extremely concerned since they had such poorly rated reviews even though they are the highest rated in the area. I was very pleased and can imagine they've made adjustments and improvements. Even the gentleman upon checkout was like I hope you found everything satisfactory and I told him indeed I did. I was impressed and would highly recommend this location. read more

Do not rent a car from here. If an insurance company wants to use them for a wreck, refuse to use them. I was involved in a wreck, another persons fault, and their insurance company had a credit card on file. This place still makes you put your credit card on file for "incidentals". They are complete idiots and charged my card instead of the insurance company's. I had a bad feeling this would happen when I gave them my card. All the people inside seem very shady and unprofessional. My attorney working on my wreck laughed when I told him and said that he will now be going after another company for mental anguish. Management must be very poor, someone from Corporate should look into this. There are so many bad reviews, why would they continue business in this manner. Great way to treat someone who was in a very bad car wreck and in the hospital for two weeks. Update: My insurance adjuster called to make sure Enterprise took care of this situation. I give it two stars because the vehicle I got was great on gas. It had a navigation system, and the return of the vehicle was painless. However, they lose three stars because of.... 1} When I reserved the vehicle, I used my DC online and nowhere did it tell me that I will need two types of I.D. to pick up the vehicle. According the the person behind the counter, it's on the website, at the bottom, to the left in fine print. Needless to say, I was able to muster up a second I.D. before leaving the lot. Of course the guy behind the counter was no help with the situation. He simply asked for two I.D.'s, but never spoke up and said it was okay to use a bill from a app on my phone. Luckily, I asked all the right questions and finally got out of there. 2} After being held up there for so long and angry from losing time before leaving on our trip, I threaten to take my business elsewhere and they were okay with it. They handed me all my paperwork and wished me a good day. They didn't even try to meet me halfway. Since I had already reserved a van 3 months prior for our trip and I knew it would be time consuming to find another, I went ahead and finished what I had started with them. BUT, I will never go back to them. Since I was not an important customer then, I'm not a important customer in the future. I say good day to them, right back! 3} The minivan that was given to me was dirty. Carpet was dirty. There were stains on the center console and on the seats. Ever since JC left this location has not taken care of me or my rental needs. Apparently they do not believe in quality customer service or the fact that I, as the customer, have CHOICES for which business I patronize. I have rented my cars here for years and over the last year the service is terrible. EVERY TIME I pick a car up these past few months. It is never clean and I ALWAYS bring it to their attention. Today the associate blamed me for the dirty car because I came in at 6 to pick it up even though I'd had the reservation made a week in advance. JC was always gracious in accommodating me with turn in time as long as I was within a couple of hours window for turning my vehicle in and this new young man is going to charge me 2 EXTRA days because Monday is a holiday. Dealing with an accident at the moment and left without a car. This company gives you the run around and keeps you on hold for as long as 30 minutes or possibly longer, as I hung up and called back! They also have given us no choice but to rent one of their most expensive models at 50$ a day + tax, because there seems to be no other models available in the entire DFW area!!!! The whole 30 minutes I'm on hold, I'm listening to a recording over and over talking about their wonderful customer service!!! It's a joke! I have spoken to at least 4 different associates at different locations, each of which gives the same type of ridiculous excuses. They train their employees in how to scam, I believe. We were told by a manager that we would be receiving a call back within 30 minutes, but it's been over an hour now, and still nothing. I wouldn't recommend this company. Enterprise is always difficult with their walk around of the vehicle. Why can't it be an easier rental experience like the other rental services that ENTERPRISE owns - Alamo, National, etc? A new one this rental with the expectation of me having my insurance card to avoid a $20 surcharge for Enterprise insurance. How many people carry their insurance card in their wallets? Mine is with my personal vehicle back at my house in another state! What a pain in the freakin' butt! The vehicle was nice, but after more than 100 Enterprise rentals, I'm done.
