Had a great experience here. I chose this location because it's in walking distance of the cruise terminal. After my cruise, I walked over and was helped in under 5 minutes. They immediately took me to my car, upgrading me to another option but giving me a deal because it wasn't what I booked. My only complaint is that the car was on a half tank of gas, which was annoying to refill to that same level. But other than that, the service was prompt and friendly, the price was reasonable, and the car was nice. I'd come here again. read more

Arrived on a Saturday morning, right after a cruise, as they opened. 4th in line... only 2 people working! One behind the counter, the other getting the car. Within 10 minutes, the line was out the door. Declined insurance... but didn't have the card accesible...and, the guy would not rent us the car without paying for their insurance! I am a long-time member of Enterprise and currently have a rental car out. Today, 11/6, at 8am, I had a disappointing experience with customer service, specifically with Scott, whom I dealt with personally in this San Pedro Location. Coming from a background in hospitality, I expected a certain standard of service when I requested a simple vehicle swap for a Jeep or something similar. Scott informed me that no cars were available because they were all reserved for an incoming cruise ship. This reasoning made no sense, as I was already renting a vehicle and only wanted to swap it. It felt as though Scott was being dismissive and unwilling to help. Ultimately, I had to go out of my way to make a new reservation at another location ( Yucaipa), which is inconvenient and should not have been necessary. This experience has left me questioning Enterprise's commitment to customer service, which should be the priority, especially for loyal members. Now I have to stop by another location on my way to work, which adds unnecessary hassle to my day. I hope this issue can be addressed and resolved so that future customers receive the accommodating service Enterprise is known for. UPDATE: I have also reached out to corporate in regards to this matter. Made reservations for 8:30 am few days in advance. Received 2 calls within 2 days confirming. 2nd Rep who called on 2nd day discouraged me from arriving at 8:30 am and said to come in at 12 noon so they could accommodate those arriving from the cruise ship. What??? To be nice, I changed my reservations to 12 noon. Arrived and checked in between 11:40 and 11:45. Guess what? NO CARS!!! While waiting for a car, I got screened with personal questions as part of the registration. Mgt Trainee Scott Bosco got belligerent with me and threatened to refuse me services when I questioned why I was being scrutinized with personal questions. I've been renting cars from this location for years. The problem is with Enterprise rotating their staff from office to office, I have to be subjected to different lines of questions and scrutiny each visit. I'm so disappointed in Enterprise car rental Our Whole weekend was ruined . First our car breaks down, then we wait 4 hours for the "technician" to show who is just a kid pulling. trailer. Enterprise expected us to Uber down the mountain to the Palm Springs Airport to pick up a new car. it would have been a total of 6 hrs. We were bothered by another tow truck driver and 10:30pm and continued text messages until 2:00 Am. We had yo ride with another family and it was a crowded ride. I used this enterprise before and the service was great! But this time it was terrible! I was going threw insurance. I called before I picked up the rental and was promised a hybrid or small car. Because of today's gas prices! I did not get what I was promised! However I understood with the storage of cars. The employee that picked me up at the body shop was on time and she was helpful. This was the only part of the rental that went well! When I got home with the rental the oil change came on. Then I was driving and my tire needed to be changed. I had to take it to get changed. He gives us a vehicle with very high miles and with obvious mechanical issues. When we called every day for a week to swictch it out, but each time he would tell us there were no vehicles available. So glad I made a reservation with this Enterprise location. We rented a vehicle from them after taking a cruise. They picked us up in their shuttle from the Princess Cruise terminal in San Pedro which was very convenient. Their office was packed with customers. Fortunately, there were employees waiting for us passengers who had taken the cruise. Staff was short on vehicles which was one of the reasons that so many folks were waiting. I had booked an Intermediate vehicle, but they ended up giving us a Full Size SUV for the intermediate price because of the lack of vehicles. Staff was pleasant, and the process went pretty smooth (except for some tech glitches). Would book with them again if we had another cruise that ended at San Pedro. read more

Unfortunately, Two different people felt it was necessary to hit my brand new 2021 Toyota Tacoma truck in Long Beach, CA. My insurance company lined me up with some rentals from Enterprise. This branch is awesome. The people were friendly, quick and very accommodating. Because my car repair took so long, I've had to rent 3+ times from this location. So this covers all of those rental times. Everyone from the attendants checking cars in the lot to the people on the front desk have been super attentive and detail oriented. Since I'm a programmer, I especially like their smart devices that they use to rent, sign and pay with. (Mine was paid by insurance.) l asked a staff member who the manager was because l wanted to compliment them on the staff. Turns out the manager was helping me all along. The cars that I've rented were an Audi Q5, a huge Dodge Ram Truck and some mid-sized vehicle l can't remember. l highly recommend this office. read more

This place is super unproffesional and very rude to their customers. I had literally the worst experience i have had at a rental place. They claimed on the call center to have a specific car i needed for a business outing. I was insulted when THEY didn't have the vehicle ready and was given very bad attitude from one of the lower level associates. the manager sorted it then, but the next day when i returned the car in perfect condition he falsely claimed a scratch which from my picture it is a smudge, not a scratch. this manager tried to insult my colleague, who was with me on the return and during the duration of the trip, and my intelligence by stating that we scratched the car. It was right above a dent that he had showed me the day before saying they already have a claim on that dent. the smudge went in the same direction as that previous accident. They charged me $270 for a $70 estimated rental by stealing from me. I have two kids, i am a small business owner and entrepreneur and i am in the middle of a move which is very expensive as it is. please do not trust these thieves and best to stay away from Enterprise, no the first time they added extra charges at the end. this is what these people do, this is that corporate evil that has made this world much more greedy, and pushed climate crisis forward and lowered the average persons earnings and spending power. This is my rental experience at the San Pedro Enterprise Location. I have not had a bad experience prior to this at other Enterprise locations. When I first walked in I was greeted well. I was on the phone with my credit card company trying to verify that they do Indeed cover my rental vehicle in case of any incidents. After locating my rental reservation the manager asked Shayla Cunningham (assistant manager) to help me get the vehicle. This is where things did not go as I expected. After walking to the car Shayla asked if I wanted to get the Enterprise insurance for the vehicle for $40 for the day. I politely declined mentioning that my Credit Card would cover that. She then mentioned that Enterprise does not go through Third party insurance if anything happens. I declined nevertheless. She also wanted me to give her my Auto Insurance number. This was a Big Red Flag. I have NEVER had to show my Insurance number when I have rented vehicle. In fact I asked a friend of mine who happened to be renting another vehicle from the same location if the person assisting him asked him to show his Auto Insurance number. He told me he was not asked to show that. Usually after declining at this time in the rental procedure I would be allowed to inspect the vehicle for any damages that already exist so that it can be noted or marked. However, Shayla tried to rush me through without allowing me to make those inspections. I was not even able to inspect because she wanted to sign the agreement and be done. I proceeded to start the car and drive out of the lot. However, as soon as the car started I noticed that the vehicle FUEL was not FULL. When I have previously signed agreement I have been told the FUEL level and what the expectation is when returning the vehicle. Shayla forgot to do this also. I also noticed a chip (smaller than regulation) in the windshield. Concerned that I had forgotten to make a note I asked the another reservation attendant Isaac to note it since Shayla had already left the parking lot. Returning the car I had no issue. However, I definitely did not have a good experience with Shayla. I hope Enterprise at this location can resolve this either by better training their employees better. read more

No stars ! Absolutely horrible experience. For the first time in 2 years my family and all had a week off of work and corrdinared a trip to Big Bear . We booked a 15 passenger van 1 month prior to our trip ! . We get to the enterprise in San Pedro the morning of our trip with our confirmation papers with everything we requested in writing and they tell us they do not have the van . They tell us they're sorry and that it's out of their hands . We were told they left serval messages to confirm that was not true I had one voice mail and no emails. They gave us absolutely no solution. If you are renting from this company please beware and make reservations at your own risk , because our trip has been ruined and now I'm stuck trying to figure out what to do . The absolute worse rental car experience I have encountered. The free "upgrade" they gave me was actually a downgrade. I reserved a midsized and actually got a small compact car. I was not able to charge my phone on my trip because the outlets weren't working. The sensor was acting up. As far as communication goes, I was not able to get in touch with the office because I called 4 times and no one would answer. Incompetent. Save yourself a headache and avoid renting here. After a recent experience through an insurance claim, I had the unfortunate experience of this local office. Was given an SUV and told insurance was covering 100% of the rental. 2 weeks after returning the car, received a call stating I owed over $200 for the 'upgrade' (that I was not told about and did not asked for). After explaining this, was told that my rate would be adjusted and that my balance owed would be $0. But it doesn't end here. Another 2 weeks pass and I suddenly receive a threatening voicemail from Enterprise that the insurance won't cover my upgrade and that if I don't call back by the end of the day, they would be charging my card for the upgrade 'I was adamant that I needed' (completely untrue and never said by me). After many calls to the local office and getting nowhere, it seems possibly my tweet finally got my case in contact to corporate and eventually the local office got their $hit together to close out my invoice at a $0 balance. But too little too late. The damage has been done not only though the horrible experience but with all the employees saying that I 'demanded' the upgrade. I would have been fine with any car, the SUV happened to be the first one they offered me. read more

Charged me for 5 days of rental even though I only rented for 4 days There excuse was that they bill the insurance for calendar days, I upgraded the car and I would have to pay the daily difference I was ok to pay for 4 days and they told me that they are going to credit me the difference, when I checked my credit card bill I wasn't created anything Also there car wasn't clean and had a low tire warning Just a bunch of arrogant young men running the San Pedro office. Although my auto body shop had a car rental place on site, I could not get a car there easily. They were short staffed apparently, and failed to have a rep there at the appointed time. Enterprise was open though, and even though they were also short of people (and it was late afternoon), Claudia sent a driver to pick me up. She was marvelous and got me into a car in under half an hour. She helped me out later too - and I won't go into details here - and I'd like to say that her calmness, courtesy, and kindness was much appreciated. My insurance was paying for my rental and maxed out at $1200. I knew my car would be in the body shop for awhile and wanted a vehicle less than the $50 per day maximum. They told me they didn't have one the day I picked it up but call the next day and they'd exchange it. Well throughout my 24 day rental they claimed to never have one available. Impossible! They were rude & short on the phone. In the end, weeks after I returned the car, they charged my car for over $100 without even emailing an invoice. I will never return to this location! Cade is the individual I mainly spoke with, soundnothing but a shady sales guy! Update: enterprise charged my credit card for toll road fees even though the vehicle was added to my personal Fastrak account & I have proof of payment. They did not once call me to discuss, just fraudulently charged my card. The tolls were $13.24 but was charged $21.25 to my credit card. Thieves! read more
