When i was looking at reviews before renting my vehicle through Enterprise in Santa Fe, I was initially reluctant because there were people complaining of a bad experience with the manager at the time. I can thankfully report however that my experience with the staff at the 3961 Cerrillos Rd location was absolutely first class! My experience didn't start out all that great. I was a little confused to start because I had booked my car on the Enterprise website at Santa Fe Regional Airport, and when I arrived into town I was dropped off there to pick up the car. Well, Enterprise doesn't HAVE a facility at the airport. Thankfully they do have a shuttle to get from the Airport to their facility about 20 minutes away in downtown Santa Fe. This of course isn't the fault of the local office - this is something Enterprise Corporate should fix in their system. Once I actually arrived at the rental facility however, my experience was fantastic. Both Darryl and Richard were friendly, workable, and willing to help me out in every way they could, including offering to give me a ride back to my hotel the day I dropped the car back off. If I was managing this location, Darryl and Richard are the kind of employees that I would want representing me. I certainly wouldn't hesitate renting there again, and hope to when I return sometime in 2026. read more

My car was down for a few weeks waiting for parts to come in. The parts were stuck in a container ship somewhere at sea waiting to be off loaded. Note, they finally arrived and got my own car back. So I relied on Enterprise for a rental. Rebecca and Brandon in the Santa Fe office were great. I started out with a more expensive car, until a lesser expensive car was available. The changeover went flawlessly. We had several conversations along the way, giving them updates on my own car, and projected completion dates, which were pushed back, and pushed back. I would highly recommend this office for their kindnesses and professionalism. I was impressed with their prompt and efficient service. Plus they shuttle you to and from your own car or destination you need to be in changing out vehicles. The location of this office is easy to find on a well traveled road. All in all, excellent service. read more

We reserved a rental car from Enterprise to be picked up at the Santa Fe airport. Due to a one-hour delay, we arrived at the airport at 6:15 pm. They knew what flight we were coming in on, too. Enterprise's office closed at 6 pm and after calling their national customer service hotline for help (no one picked up at their local office), they still left our family stranded. ("You can pick up the car tomorrow from our Enterprise office.") We tried Uber and Lyft from the airport but after 20 minutes of trying still could not get picked up. We eventually called my sister-in-law and she trekked out here to pick us up. Thanks a lot, Enterprise! read more

I rented a Prius (License CA/9CWE093, ID:N3182373) at the Santa Fe Enterprise at 3961 CERRILLOS RD on September 26, 2023 and returned it on October 6, 2023. There was no damage to the car and the office checked me out without ever mentioning any damage. Three months later on January 17, 2024 Enterprise files a claim against my State Farm policy claiming there was $2200.00 in hail damage. My claims adjuster asked them for proof that the damage happened while it was in my possession, but all they could provide was a photo from a month after I returned the car. Be careful of this scam. read more

Isaiah was so helpful on helping us to pick the best rental for what and where we would be traveling. He was so very patient and kind. Great customer service and we enjoyed the van he suggested. Wow...seriously, this is probably the best rental car experience I have ever had in my life! The customer service from start to finish here was just the epitome of excellence and it is such a sad commentary on the current state of customer service that this level is the exception rather than the expectation at most other places! The shuttle was waiting for me at the airport and Mitch, who was the driver as well as the rep who helped me with my rental, was so friendly and talkative during our drive to their off-site branch. Everyone there was so nice and it was wonderful to see them work cohesively as a team! The price I was quoted at the time of rental was different from my reservation quote and everybody worked together to figure out why, and made the corrections so that i was charged what I was told I would be charged. This was the most pleasant surprise as most rental car places will go out of their way to justify any price differences. I was also kindly upgraded to a Jeep from my economy rental when the Hyundai Mitch had originally put me in had low tire pressure. He did the walk thru with me and had me on my way in under 20mins! The return was where this location really shined for me! I was running terribly late for my flight and every rep was busy, so I had to politely interrupt a rental to let them know I just need to return my car and get to the airport as fast as possible. James stepped up and assured me that my rental would be completed later and he would call to finalize the return. He asked Noah to drive me in the rental I was dropping off as their shuttle was already en route to the airport. Noah made quick time and assured me w/as small as the airport was that I would make my flight, which definitely put me at ease. I was so thankful I was able to make my flt because teamwork really did make the dream work here! A couple of days later, Rebecca called me to finalize my return. I had been incorrectly charged for an additional couple of hrs on my final bill, but after explaining the situation, Rebecca graciously corrected the charges and that was that. I wish I could rent from this location anywhere I traveled! But, so many kudos go to the amazing staff at this location. Thank you so much for making me feel VIP from beginning to end! read more

They think this is the only Enterprise location I've ever rented from and I've rented here before. They were not prepared and the vehicle was not available. I rent cars when I travel and this establishment, by far, offered the best customer service I've experienced. Lizza who manages the place was a clear communicator, she went the extra mile to make sure that i got to the airport without extra waiting around, honored the price of my car reservation (my plane was late, which apparently happens often, and the office closes at 6 pm - - which is odd, admittedly) and made sure I wasn't penalized. Furthermore, the whole place is filled with nice people. They called a day or two before my flight to warn me of the office closing at 6 pm which I've never experienced from a car rental place. While their 6 pm closing up of shop is a big inconvenience, and an quirky businesses decision, the folks at this place make the experience, easy, and no-hassle. Extremely helpful at each point of contact. I highly recommend. read more

My car had been hit while parked at the notorious Trader Joe's parking lot and needed some bodywork done on the passenger side. Reserving a car with Enterprise was easy and they communicated with State Farm Insurance the whole time. I had to actually postpone my rental appointment when the repair shop was booked up for weeks, and it wasn't a problem. Brandon was great and said that they get at least 10 people each month needing cars due to the TJs lot...so don't ever park there! Anyway, I was in communication, also, with Zay regarding returning the rental Mitsubishi Mirage via email and he made my life much easier by allowing me to leave the rental car at Caliber Collision! I fully expected to have to drive it to Enterprise on a Sunday (when they are closed), leave it parked, and then walk over a mile to Caliber to pick up my Honda...but...nope! Enterprise and Caliber seem to work well together and help each other out. Someone from Enterprise will pickup the rental car from Caliber tomorrow, when both are fully open. Had a super bad experience with these guys, unfortunately. We had a 1-week reservation booked with them through Chase & Expedia, not realizing how limited their hours were (2pm close on weekends). Our flight ended up landing a couple hours after they closed, so the earliest we could reach them was at opening the following morning (10am). That was when we learned that not only had they given our car away, they would not honor our reservation at all. No replacement, no remedy, just SOL. They did not even offer a refund - we had to go through Chase/Expedia for that. Fortunately we were able to get a last-minute replacement vehicle from a nearby competitor, otherwise these guys would have totally ruined our New Mexico vacation. I wish I could give zero stars. This is why: I bought a completed package from Cheaptickets.com (plane, hotel and rental car). Paid in advance. My flight was scheduled to land in Santa Fe at 5:37pm. Enterprise stated I could pick up my car AFTER 5pm. Problem? They close at 6! Now, that wouldn't be problem usually, but they are off-site from the airport! Meaning, you need to catch a shuttle to their office somewhere in the city of Santa Fe. So, I waited for the shuttle...and waited... so I Ubered to their office. ...and they were closed. No one. A few minutes after 6 and nothing, anywhere. I called their customer service line and they were no help. They told me the closest enterprise was in Albuquerque (1hour away). The guy said usually someone stays 30minutes after closing...no they didn't. I was outside their locked door, lights off and white van parked out front. What was I supposed to do, Uber there too, the ride would cost the amount of a day's rental. What I don't get is, I have been to several airports where I reserved a rental car and my flight came in late (it was on time for this incident) where the car rental place stayed open until we got there to pick up our vehicle. So what happened here? Oh well, it's 6pm f*** it, I'm going home? Probably. So why I'm so upset. I flew in to attend my Marine Corps friend's funeral. The plan was to fly in and drive down to Albuquerque to attend his funeral in the morning then drive back to Santa Fe for his burial at the Santa Fe Veterans Cemetery in the afternoon. Because I don't have a car, I will miss his funeral (or hope to catch a Uber for 67 miles at 6am) and hopefully find a way to his burial. Thank you enterprise. Thank you so f***ing much. Minus 5 stars! Avoid this location and avoid Enterprise. Worst customer service I have ever received in 40 years! Lets start with the assistant manager, Brandon in Santa Fe, NM. Not only is he clueless when it comes to customer service but I'm convinced he provides bogus names to avoid accountability. Here's my story. At around 9:30-10:00 AM on 8/3/2019, I make online reservations for a pickup truck at 1:00 PM and get my nice little confirmation. Key words here are "reservation" and "confirmation". Apparently neither of these terms mean anything to Brandon and his boss Chris Magnusen. I get a call 45 minuted before I am to go pick up the vehicle, I get a call from Brandon to inform me that he has rented out all of the pickup trucks and has no more. Since I had confirmed my plans with the other parties involved after getting my "confirmation", I am now stuck. I ask Brandon for options. He has a mini van but I would have to personally go over there and measure it to see if it will work. When I press him on customer service, he just blows me off and tells me that his manager Chris Magnusen told him to go ahead and rent everything with no regard to what other customers may have been promised. I was then told that their onlinbe reservations know nothing about what they have available and they don't know what they're doing and the best way is to take your chances with first come first served! So apparently Brandon and Chris make a great team because neither one of them seem to give a rat's *ss about upholding promises made by their corporate office. Then I called corporate and the gentlemen I spoke to took exception to all of this and he said he will be following up with the area manager Chris; if that's really his actual name and Brandon wasn't lying. The corporate guys also took exception to everything that Brandon told me about how they operate. Save yourself the frustration and screwed up plans and never rent from this location and even this company! In response to the business manager's comment below, you obviously have no idea what service recovery means. Instead of directing me on what to do to help you look good, you need to learn to do whatever it takes to make what you screwed up right. read more

They told me to call them before my appointment to make sure there will be someone to get me since it was a busy morning. But the phone line was busy all morning, I could not get ahold of anyone. They went to pick me up and did not have room in their vehicle for all of us waiting at the body shop. I was the second one there and yet they didn't offer rides to the people that were waiting the longest. Did not offer help with carrying my things. The rental they gave me was not very clean, it had a fake eyelash in the cup holder. The staff at the Enterprise on Cerrillos however was very friendly! read more

Earlier this year, we visited Santa Fe and decided that it would be better to have a rental car (vs being reliant on public transportation) and came upon the Enterprise at this location. The staff was super friendly and helpful, picking us up from our hotel to get the car as well as dropping us off at the airport when it was time to go. I booked a reservation online, arrived at Enterprise one hour later and surprise! They had given away all the cars! I get that there is a big festival in Albuquerque this weekend but you sent me a confirmation email THIRTY MINUTES before telling me that every reservation from the last SEVENTY-TWO HOURS had been canceled, with no notice or warning! I was very impressed with all the Enterprise Rent-A-Car (Cerrillos Road location in Santa Fe, NM) staff I interacted with from beginning to end, from the shuttle drivers who picked me up from the airport and dropped me off a few days later to the desk staff who checked me in and checked me out. Excellent customer service from all staff who were friendly and professional. I didn't have to wait long to be helped, to receive my rental car, or for the shuttle. The car I received was clean and in good condition, and I also was given a better deal than the price quote I received online, about $50 less than what I had expected to pay! We rented our car from El Paso and returned it to this location. We were running late for our flight and they have a shuttle service to the airport every 30 minutes. They didn't let me park my vehicle in their lot while I was renting from them. The attendant asked me to park my vehicle at the Lowe's parking lot, which was not safe. I had called and asked the day before if I there is parking available at the facility while I rented from them, and the manager replied in the affirmative. However, when I came to pick up the vehicle, they had another manager on duty, who refused to honor the other manager's promise. Look's like they don't honor each other's promises. Ultimately I ended up canceling my booking and renting from another rental car company which ended up being a bit cheaper. Your personal vehicle is not safe when renting from this facility as they may ask you to park at Lowe's. read more

My wife and I recently reserved a car in Enterprise's Santa Fe office for a two-week driving vacation to the Pagosa Springs - Durango area. We requested a Tahoe and received an Expedition. I initially told Derrick (Mgr at the Santa Fe office) that I was not entirely happy about the "upgrade" but accepted it since they did not have a Tahoe on hand. Derrick did not blink - he promptly offered 5% off the price simply for any inconvenience. This is good, but it gets even better! We arrived in Pagosa Springs, Co later that day and immediately noticed a missing backpack. That was a really bad because it contained my business laptop, iPad, cell phone, and my personal meds. I called Derrick in a panic, asking him if he had, by any chance, seen it. He said, "Do not worry sir, I have it safely stored in my office". We drove back to Santa Fe the next day and picked it up - problem solved! Oh, and about the Expedition? It was a great ride. This is the thing with Enterprise - they always deliver. 2 major problems with the car I rented from this location. 1st, someone had smoked in the car and they tried to cover it up using some sort of deodorant. It was strong enough that my wife who is allergic to smoke could not ride in the car. 2nd the collision warning system was malfunctioning. When I brought this to the attention of the rental agent they acknowledged that this is a problem that they know exists in the car and obviously had made no attempt to repair it. Although the 10 minute drive from the airport may not be what you are used to, it is not too much of a bother when the service is this good. Staff are professional and polite, shuttle driver was friendly and informative about the area, and we were impressed with the follow up call 1 hour after our transaction was complete. One observation that is less positive, the business office could use some updates and remodeling, business owner should put something "back into" the business and spend some money on that. read more

Life savers we after a very bad experience with Hertz over labor day weekend we booked with enterprise allowed us to pick up in Santa Fe and drop on Albuquerque. We I like the quality of the car and felt safe. We had experienced excellent customer service at both locations next time I travel anywhere I will be using enterprise for my transportation needs. In my opinion, Enterprise Car Rental in Santa Fe should be avoided. The car size I reserved was not available. They rented me a car size I did not reserve or want, despite multiple visits to correct their error. In addition, they had my car rental dates and times wrong, and also had me listed for an incorrect drop-off city. More importantly, they charged me $500 for a scratch in the front bumper which I firmly believe was previously there. Instead of picking the car up at their main location as was stated in my reservation contract, Santa Fe Enterprise arranged for the wrong car to be picked up from a hotel site, parked in an enclosed dark parking garage. A scratch on the front bumper was not seen in the dark covered lot. When I returned the wrong size car to the main Santa Fe office lot for a car exchange prior to the end of my rental, the local manager quickly added $500 to my bill for a scratch for which I was not responsible. I had no recourse. No one from Enterprise has returned my calls. read more

Matt the store manager was amazing in assisting our group with the car rental and most importantly transportation to and from the airport for my party of 14. I've rented cars for large groups before I have never received this level of service. Rates were amazing...I mean truly amazing and staff was super friendly and accommodating.
