These people are scammers! Be aware! They gave us a beat up, scratched up car for rent. Then charged us extra $3,800 dollars extra for a scratch and dent. That honestly I couldn't even see it, it was on the roof! If you do rent from here make sure you take pictures before and after you pick up and drop off. Detailed pictures of the roof, under car, all sides. Or they will think of something to charge you extra. I will never recommend this place to any of my visitors or friends. read more

Time was not on my side. A little back story. My parked car got hit really bad. I was in need of a rental as my car wasn't safe to drive. Fred, the assistant manager helped me. It's like he read my mind. He got me the desired car I was eyeballing. I was in such a rush, I was ok getting any car from the lot. I informed Fred, I may have to come back to get the car, so I'm not late. He immediately passed me along to Nick, who was also very helpful and informative. My rental car had a nail in the tire. A shorter manager and worker were rude and didn't help me at all. They told me to go to Tires Plus to get it fixed myself. Thankfully one of the other managers (the taller one) got me a new replacement. The other workers can do better. read more

vehicle was defective at time of pickup, the vehicle had over 40,0000 miles the interior is stained and in very poor condition, I did bring this to the rental associates attention at which time he stated "we are aware of interior damage". There were several dings and larger scratches also noted at time of pickup.  Unbeknownst to me there was a defect in the screen on dash board which was not visible at the time I picked up, and became worse as I used this vehicle. I notified the rental office of my concerns with the screen being difficult to use and crackling the morning of 11/10/21.  The rental associate "Michael" did not touch this screen prior to pickup which he admitted to over the phone on 11/11/21.  I am not responsible for vehicle equipment that was already in poor condition, and faulty, I will not repair what someone else damaged. Quite honestly I wouldn't be surprised if the dishonest employees at this location knew about the previous damage, and were waiting to blame on next customer that rented that vehicle. The vehicle really should be retired, it is in poor condition.  I have contacted several consumer agencies regarding this matter. read more

It was season, I was so excited to be back in Florida with my kids. It was a last minute decision but I had spent thousands with this firm before, sure there was a record, rented cars out of this office for months and months over the course of 5 years for many reasons. The salesperson was uppity and loud. You dont have a major credit card ? Whats your limit? I need to have your address in Fl and a utility bill he quipped...I had none of those, only my debit card with about a grand in it. I only needed the car for a week. Sorry he said....I asked what I could do and he literally shouted for the whole room to hear..."Sorry we cant just give you a car you could just drive off and never come back" I was shocked. I will never rent from Enterprise in Sarasota again. I had no problem with Hertz when I came back . Enterprise has lost my business forever. read more

He was quick, happy and offered us several options to make our travel comfortable and the cost was reasonable. We were able to upgrade our vehicle selection to something that was a better fit. My pinkie toe could run this facility better. I wish I could rate it 0 stars. We were given a car that was smaller than we reserved and it smelled awful of marijuana. They did nothing about it. We tried to exchange the car and they did nothing because other customers were expecting cars. I understand that they have other customers that need cars, but they said they would give cars to their new customers before they would let me even exchange our awful car for a different one. We literally found drugs in our car and they still would not let us exchange the car! Are you kidding me?? This is how you treat your customers??? If you're smart I would recommend renting a car literally any other possible place. Lobby was absolutely packed. Staff was very pleasant but clearly understaffed and the facility is very poorly run. We had rented a convertible for a weekend trip away. The model car was a four door mustang convertible with a second row of seats. After waiting more than an hour and a half we were offered a Mazda Miata with only two seats and the smallest trunk I've ever seen. Wouldn't even hold our backpack. We ended up being offered the only other available car on the lot, a beat up looking Nissan truck that smelled like stale cigarette smoke. Got us from point A to point B but was definitely not what we were hoping for. Our experience only got worse when we had a change of plans and wanted to drop off the vehicle at a slightly different location. Spent 45 minutes on the phone with no answer about our predicament and a promise that management would call us back that was never returned. read more

Used this location several times in the past good customer service but new managers aren't as nice and more arrogant. So took my business elsewhere. Glad I did too because their rates were so much more expensive than others.... sure they'll pick you up but so will Uber for a lot less. I saved about 300 from what I was paying. Good service . Pick up and drop off. Easy transaction with signing up and out. Clean, non smoking , new car for reasonable price . Had a great experience with this location. I was in and out quickly, got upgraded, and was accommodated with a late return. Fare was already good, and then insurance company rate made it get even better, and they worked everything out with the insurance company so I didn't get billed. Car was in great shape and drove well. Hopefully I won't need to rent again due to car being in the shop, but if I need to I will definitely use this location again! read more

If I could give Negative 10 i would. we were hit by another driver and their car insurance paid for us to have a rental car while our car was being fixed. Scammed us over $1,100 . Didn't tell us anything up front - we just knew we were covered by the persons car insurance. The guy at Enterprise checked the box without our knowledge that we wanted $19 a day plus Tax liability insurance which we DID NOT want since our own credit card covers us of that anyway. When contract was signed by us , it showed everything that the insurance was taking care of and it said subtotal $0.00 , so we signed - little did we know Enterprise scammed us . They won't return our phone calls. Watch out when you rent from this awful place. read more

My experience renting a car from Enterprise during my recent visit to Florida was very inconsistent. I called the main number to reserve two cars, one for myself for about a week, and another for my friend for a month. The call center employee (based in Oregon) was very helpful, and reserved two cars for us at the Clark Rd. Sarasota location. However, as we had only made the reservation the morning of our rental, they did not have two cars available that fit our requested sizes. Katy at the office was very pleasant and did the best she could to help us, and I got a smaller car than first requested, at a lesser price, while my friend ended up with the proper size car - which, unfortunately had very bad stains on the front passenger seat. I had specified that I would need to be returning my car at a location in Tampa, and this is where the experience really went wrong. I was staying with family in Odessa, so looked up the nearest Enterprise location to return the car to. A few locations did not answer their phone, and I wanted to make sure I found a location that would be open Saturday morning, so kept calling. I called the number listed for the Sheldon Road location, and they answered and said they would be open until 12 noon. We proceeded to that office (which ended up being located inside of another business - Pro Auto Care). When we entered the building there was no one inside the Enterprise office (although their office door was open), and no one behind the Auto Care counter. We heard someone in the restroom and waited to see if an employee would come out. The Auto Care employee came out, and told us that that Enterprise office was closed on Saturdays (even though their office door was open), and he was sorry he couldn't help us. I then called the number I had dialed earlier and the phone in the office I was at rang. Although there was no one in the office, someone answered the call and said they were open, and it was then I found out that the Sheldon Rd. # automatically forwarded calls onto another location when they were closed (with no recordings or announcements letting customers know they were reaching a different location). We then went to the Hillsborough Avenue location (who were answering calls for the closed Sheldon office). The employees there appeared extremely frazzled and explained they were very busy as they closed at 12 noon Saturdays and were handling the business for other locations that weren't open at all Saturdays. A lot of people were lined up waiting, so I stood in line with the rest. When I told employee Claudia Miranda about our emperience regarding the Sheldon office she was at first apologetic, but when I suggested they needed to be open longer hours on Saturdays she snapped "We work 12 hour days - we work enough!" I presented my contract from Sarasota. She checked out the car and I paid my bill. She gave me a computer printed receipt. When I looked at the receipt it was obviously not mine - different total, plus notations regarding an accident on September 10th, when I was not yet even in Florida or renting a car from Enterprise. When I pointed that out to Claudia she seemed even more frazzled, and said she had given me someone else's receipt. When i asked her for my receipt, she said she was unable to print me one. She showed me our transaction on her computer screen, but insisted she couldn't print it out for me. The male employee that was working with her told me that I could not get a receipt as I had originally rented the car at a different location - although I had returned the vehicle AND paid my bill at their location. Finally, after repeated requests for some kind of a receipt, I got Claudia to write on my original contract the amount that I had paid in full and initial it. Her coworker suggested I could go to Enterprise.com after 24 hours to see my receipt and print it out myself. In the meanwhile I was overhearing other customers with problems that he also seemed unable to resolve adequately to their satisfaction. Overall, staff at the HIllsborough Tampa office seemed somewhat incompetent, and stressed - possibly due to short staffing and restricted office hours, possibly due to their own lack of training or understanding of the systems they were working with. The fact that the Sheldon office was left open and unattended, with calls automatically being forwarded to the Hillsborough office added to the bad impression and experience given. This review wouldn't even have gotten two stars, except that the call center employee and Katy in Sarasota were both helpful and pleasant. The Tampa locations REALLYneed some improvement! read more
