Xavier Saenz at this Enterprise office is awesome! We rented our car at the Portland airport and drove it up to Seattle from there after driving around Oregon looking at colleges. I have never been to Seattle so I didn't know what to expect and thought we would be able to get around without a car, so I originally planned to drop it off after our first day here...boy was I naive! I rented the car through my credit card travel and got a really good deal for the week we originally needed it, but when I looked online to add 2 more days, it was half as much as it was for the whole week we already rented it. I couldn't justify spending that much for 2 extra days, including paying for valet at our hotel, compared to how much it was for the whole week so we ended up bringing it to this office as planned, hoping we could work something by out to keep it longer. I explained our situation to Xavier and he worked with us so we could afford to keep the car another 2 days. He was so patient with me and accommodating. Having the car these extra 2 days really made our trip to Seattle so much better than it would've been if we had to continuously take Ubers or taxis. Also, when we first drove the car out of the covered lot at the Portland airport, we noticed scratches all over the dashboard that we didn't see when we first got in the car, so we couldn't alert the Enterprise employee about it. We immediately took photos and called the Enterprise help line within minutes of driving off with the car and told a lady on the phone about the scratches and she said she would note it but she was really rude and basically hung up on us after we told her about the scratches. Xavier was so nice and understanding. We showed the scratches and the time stamped photos on our phones to him and he made sure to take note of it. I have rented with Enterprise in the UK and here in the states, and I will continue to use them whenever I need a car while traveling! Thank you Xavier! read more

If you try to return your car to the address on the contract, 1601 3rd Ave Seattle, you'll get a $100 bus lane citation! That stretch of 3rd Ave is a bus lane, and passenger cars are not allowed to enter it. I didn't realize this until I received a citation a month later. And Enterprise had the audacity to bill me $25 for forwarding the citation. The correct return address for this corner location is on Stewart street. They really should update the location they use on the contract and in mapping applications. read more

I had reserved a car to pick up at this location after getting off a cruise and had chosen to return at the airport. When we got to this location, there were only two people working. There were a few people in line ahead of us but they worked to get the line down. They did try to upsell everyone ahead of me and try to talk them into it which always bugs me because I just want to get my car and go. However, when I got up to the front, they were very professional and polite. I had a large car already reserved so there was no need to try and upsell. So they told me the process to go get the car and how to get out of the garage. Pretty easy and everything went smoothly with the rental and return. Enterprise is always easy. I hate giving a bad review but, dear god, I reserved a car utilizing Enterprise's system with confirmation given. All good? ... Guess not. Called a Lyft to take me to the rental location and, while I was waiting for the ride, I get a voicemail from Enterprise saying, "hey, yeah, sorry we don't have any cars available". No explanation, no nothing. Had to cancel the Lyft and getting charged for that too. Left me in the lurch. Bummer for me. read more

Had a good experience at this Enterprise. I reserved a car online and when I arrived to pickup the car, the process went smoothly. I was served by Ethan. He was nice and wasn't pushy when it came to the optional damage waivers. This Enterprise location is located on a corner, but can be confusing to find as their cars are located in a parking garage and there is a rental counter there too. If you rent from this location, you have to go inside to the location on the corner and then once you pay for your rental, they will send you to the garage. Wonderful experience at this Enterprise location! Quick and easy to get our car with an online reservation. The young man who checked us out was polite and friendly. He was very patient explaining some of the newer devices on the car. And at checkout, J. was so kind and helpful. We appreciated his kindness very much. The location is fantastic as we took the light rail from the airport to downtown and only walked a short distance to the lot. The guy I talked to was incredibly rude and condescending when I asked to see if another location would have a car. He basically told me to Google enterprise and call around. Unfortunately I did not have a good experience at this location. I get it, renting cars is hard... so much can go wrong with vehicles that general public drives like they just don't care. My first rental SUV was beautiful and clean, but oh my... this baby on the road wanted to drive it self onto the sidwalk, talk about a messed up alignment. So I returned it within minutes and they promptly got me into another... which was ok... except for the wipers were bent and smacked the a pillar each time they wiped, it also has some weird stumbling issues with the engine, and lastly some kind of marker on the hood with the statement "hood does not open"... well I guess that explains why the engine has a little tick to it each time you start the baby up "blown engine maybe"? Or at least heading in that direction! All to follow up on my final day of rental, this vehicle had expired plates to my surprise and I received a parking citation. (ouch Enterprise)! I contacted the store, and I want to be clear... the staff was super friendly and understanding, minus an apology.... Lets see what happens a few months later if they actually pay this citation and or try and bill me?! The only thing that was rough about this reservation was the line in office. Don't blame them since I was in line with a bunch of my fellow cruise passengers, fresh off the ship from Alaska, needing a ride home. The man at the counter was super friendly and a little too chatty, but that beats the indifference and sometimes outright hostility you get at other car rental companies. Once I was at the head of the line, I got great service and was soon in my car and out the parking structure. Recommendation from me is that if you are getting off a cruise ship and have 7 people in your party, get the passenger van instead of a minivan. Even though half of our party didn't have their luggage because we had Port Valet take their bags to the airport, the mini van wasn't large enough for 7 passengers, two wheelchairs, 5 suitcases, and everyone's carryons. We made it work, but it was a tight squeeze, with carryons stowed under foot. Don't cheap out like I did and get the right vehicle for your needs. The garage is open 24/7, so I was able to return the vehicle right after I dropped my relatives off at the airport after a day of sightseeing. read more

Over the phone I was told I could rent a vehicle out of state with a debit card as long as it was attached to a bank account. I get there and I was told that is not the case and the call center has been providing the wrong information. So here I am with no car and 2 young children. Also after waiting in line for nearly an hour because only 2 people were checking in guest. I'll never rent with enterprise again. They didn't care that I was stranded with 2 kids out of state and it's the weekend so there aren't many options. read more

Very good car rental. It gets congested because its very busy location but they always have multiple cars available. We needed big SUV chevy suburban and we had very nice comfortable trip to other state. We dropped car there in Los Angeles and overall had great experience with Enterprise. read more

I would recommend you do not rent from Enterprise. I rented a vehicle from their Seattle National facility. At the point of rental - they quoted me ~$300 as the price. When I returned the vehicle they charged me $1000. I highlighted this at the time of the return - they said they'd fix it, but did not. I called the agency several times to resolve but they would not do anything about it. Ultimately, I disputed the charge with my credit card agency - who ruled in my favor. The agency regardless pushed my account to collections and put a block on my ability to rent with all of their agency. I reached out to Enterprise to fix this, but they would not do anything till I pay them the unfairly charged rental. Unfortunately the company lacks ethics. Honestly, Good Riddance @Chris - Happy to call them (I just did today as well), but the call center person said there was nothing they could do. Happy to send you all the documentation if you can provide me with an email Id or a direct contact - over a call center (they're providing scripted responses). read more

Horrible experience, avoid at all costs. This location is super small and dirty. While waiting inside, we watched a guy smoke crack outside the window on the sidewalk. The garage is hard to navigate and feels unsafe. The workers are completely apathetic. They don't honor reservations, so no point in making them because they can't keep them. After an hour past our reservation (with zero acknowledgement or apology from the staff), they informed us they only had full-sized SUVs. Not ideal for driving in Seattle. Never again. read more

To start, the staff were super friendly. I got a Volkswagen Jetta SE, just like the one in the photo on the website. The vehicle had 3100 miles which drives like a charm. We took the vehicle up to the Olympic National State Park, which worked out pretty well; one complain I have is that the vehicle seemed a little underpowered even with sport mode engaged. Vehicle was quite equipped with great features for a Jetta of all cars, including heated seats, power seating for the front seats, and a climate system for the passengers in the back. The lane assist along with the emergency breaking helped us in a few scenarios, especially with deers crossing the road near the park. Dropping off the vehicle was difficult at this location, due to traffic and bus roads ONLY. 4 Stars! read more

Entrerprise is always my first choice to rent cars from the airport. Both times in Tampa (in 2022) and Seattle (2023), we were in and out. I love that once we book our car rental online, we go right to the lot and take our car. The drive-off was quick and seemless. We were on our way quickly! The return process was just as easy! No problems except for a minor one where the fob battery was low in Seattle/Tacoma airport, but my minor complaint was handled very professionally. 5+ stars! read more

After reserving a car at the West Seattle branch and being called first thing in the morning to be told that they didn't have a car for me until the next day I made a reservation at the Roosevelt branch. I chose the surprise me option thinking that I would get a car and on arrival it was a massive pickup truck. There was no way I was going to be able to maneuver that parking in Seattle and I could barely climb into the truck being so short. It would have been a disaster. The guy who held me on the counter was patient even though he tried to convince me that because there was a picture of a truck behind the surprise me? In the online portal I should have known that it could have been a truck that I received. However he somehow managed to rearrange things and got me economy size car which is what I wanted. We were in Seattle on vacation when my husband and I decided to rent a car for a day trip. We walked in and Andrew, the customer service rep, told us they were completely sold out of cars for the day and to "try to reserve online" but he doubted there would be anything available because of the lack of inventory. We sat down and reserved the car without any problems or error messages on the website. This goes to show that Andrew was being lazy and simply did not want to help us reserve online. With us being tourists from out of town, this was extremely disappointing. We then watched as he told the next 2 parties in line that there were plenty of options for cars available for the same day. He even asked them if they wanted to upgrade their car for free. By the time we reached the counter again, I had asked Andrew why he had told the previous 2 parties that there were plenty of cars available but he told us they were sold out. He completely ignored me, called the manager, and left the room. When he returned, he referred us upstairs to his supervisor. I said I planned to write this review on Yelp, he basically said "go ahead" and gave me his business card with his information. We went upstairs and spoke with Ben, one of the managers, and he was very apologetic and told us he would speak to Andrew about his choice of words for the future. Ben gave us a very nice midsize sedan, which was very clean and easy to drive. We were satisfied with our car, but would probably not return to this location because of the lackluster customer service. read more

Not sure of why this place is only three stars with the experience we had. We go with Enterprise for car rentals just like we go with Marriott for hotels. You know what you're going to get and why be bothered when traveling? We made a reservation a month in advanced and the only thing that could be better is having after hours abilities to pick up a car. We landed at 1am, so understandable that the location was closed. I called a bunch of hotels in the immediate Seattle airport area prior to arriving and they all do shuttle service to and from the airport (which is where this Enterprise is) so if you land at an odd hour just go to your hotel and have them bring you back the next day to get your rental, which is what we did. I have to give a shout out to customer service rep Destiny. I love my hubby dearly but he's a lot when it comes to car rentals because he asks a million questions and he likes to see all vehicle options before taking one. Destiny took the time to show him the cars and answer all of his questions, from insurance to what we would need in driving in bad snowy weather up to Whistler and traffic conditions along the way. She also upgraded us to a large 2018 SUV, which was so appreciated because we were traveling with 6 massive suit cases, 3 dogs and 2 kennels and had a massive shopping trip planned in Bellingham on the way up to Canada. We also had great experiences with the Enterprise locations in Vancouver and Squamish, and they helped us to return this car without us driving it back, which was super awesome. Warning - do not get into an accident. we had one (car was hit in the parking lot overnight, police report filed and deemed not at fault). Connected Enterprise with State Farm (my insurance) and it is in Subrogation. I have received multiple letters and emails from Enterprise demanding the money, even though they are connected with State Farm (have a claim number and phone number). threatening me now with charging my credit card and putting a mark on my credit score. If you decide to rent with them, beware - they will not work with you even if you are actively trying to work on their behalf with your insurance company to get things resolved. read more

Hi all, Avoid using Enterprise at all costs! I was recently in Seattle for a girls weekend and we wanted to rent a car to explore Olympic National Park! En route driving to said park in the rental car, we smelt gas pretty bad and assumed it must be the trucks ahead of us and thought nothing of it and continued to drive. When we got to our destination we got out and explored for about an hour and when we returned to the car noticed it was in an oil puddle from our vehicle. Concerned, and luckily not stupid, we checked and saw the car was NOT filled with ANY oil what so ever and we'd been running on fumes for the last few hours. The alert system in the car was not even on or gave us any information as to what would have been wrong with the car. I called Enterprise and they recommended we turn around and go back to the closest Enterprise, an hour away, the opposite direction of the plans we'd made for the day. While en route to this other Enterprise, they called us to let us know that they have no other vehicles we could swap out for the day and told us to now head to a mechanic. Frustrated and upset to be in the car that still stunk of gas, we drove to the mechanic and when he popped the hood clouds of smoke came out and he was shocked the engine had made it as far as we had driven it. We were furious as the car still smelt horribly of gas, and this was not safe at all for us. I called and complained and expressed concern and no one at Enterprise seemed to care. We've been back home for over a week now and have still had no luck getting even just a refund for the rental because no one else seems to care that this company not only was negligent enough to not check the oil before giving us the car for the day and still no one seems to have the time to simply refund for ruining our day and putting our safety at risk. This was one of the worst experiences I've ever had with a car rental and will not use this company again. read more

I rented a 2024 BMW I4 that was equipped with 'ride flat' tires. I nudged a curb and got a flat tire. I pulled over and the car computer told me I had a flat, but that I should keep driving because they are ride flat tires (as long as I don't go over 50 miles or over 50 mph). I didn't trust that advice, as it doesn't seem advisable to drive on a flat in my experience. So I had Enterprise call me a tow truck. There was no confirmation of a tow truck coming after over an hour, and we were on the side of the road at 11pm with our 1-year old and dog after a very long trip. So I called Enterprise back and asked what to do. They told me that I was on ride flat tires and that it was totally OK for me to drive (as long as I don't go over 50 miles or over 50 mph). I drove a bumpy ride from Bothell back to Seattle (less than 50 miles, and without going over 35 mph). When we parked it was clear we had been riding on the rim for quite some time. To the tune of $1400 in damages. Despite having followed instructions precisely, it was my insurance that had to pay the damages. And Enterprise was exceptionally curt through the whole process, including the representative that repeatedly interrupted me during our conversation. After two decades of Enterprise being my choice for car rentals, I'll choose from the many other rental car providers in future. Enterprise should at least stop explicitly instructing customers to do things that will cause damage, then charging them for it. ***Note that this does not reflect my experience with this particular branch, as their staff were very professional and polite during the rental process. read more

We received excellent service from this office. Originally, we had booked a sedan for 2 days from Avis, which was next door. For unknown reasons, their computer system was down, so they were unable to process reservations and didn't know how long it was going to take to get back online. When we realized this, we ran next door to Enterprise since we needed to leave for a road trip immediately. I did not know they were the same company, so they actually had our Avis reservation in their system. It was a very fast turn-around and within 5 minutes, we had our keys and found our car. They honored our prices from Avis, which was very nice. The nice thing is that they have after-hours return, which was very simple. read more

Easy to find on the corner of 3rd and Stewart, Enterprise is definitely the car rental place to go in downtown Seattle! We wanted to avoid all of the airport fees when renting a vehicle. This place was easy to pick since it was close to our hotel. Upon walking in, we were immediately greeted by Clark and his wonderful associates! He shook our hands with a smile on his face. He quickly pulled up our reservation and we all walked up to the A level where the Enterprise rentals are located. He explained where to go when returning. He also pointed out their 24 hour drop off box if the offices were closed. Very very convenient! After a few initials and signature, we were on our way.
