Reserved a vehicle a well in advance. Showed up promptly before 8 AM. The person working didn't even show up till 830 and there was about 15 people waiting for a car. It's now a two hour wait and nothing.. something is definitely wrong with this branch there's still about eight people waiting for a car. read more

Rented for a few days from the Sonora location. The Manager (Moli) was extremely helpful, professional and thoughtful. My experience was a good one, and will return. On my return drive I experienced a warning light with a red ! .... The Sonora location was not open yet, so I contacted the main number `which switched me to ROADSIDE ASSISTANTCE. I was fortunate to speak to Gabby from TX who was very helpful, but then we got disconnected when driving over the Tehachapi Pass.... I called back and got Jonathan from Missouri.... Right out of the gate, tone and impression from Jonathan.... He did not like his job, nor did he want to be there.... I could not understand when a person calls in due to need of road service, or if there is an emergency; how can the receiver be so rude, condescending, and unprofessional...? When I called in to the road side service, I had described the warning light in detail; unfortunately, ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE staff was not able to research, but jump to conclusions, stating it was a "mechanical issue"...?! I was able to contact my BF, and he was able to research the warning code, and it was a proximity warning light.... Overall the Sonora location was good to me, but ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE could use a better vetting process for hiring customer service staff.... The only reason I gave 5 stars was because of Moli and her staff in Sonora.... read more

Rented a car from Caleb at Sonora Enterprise. They were busy when we picked it up, somebody apparently just dropped the car off right before we got there or maybe the employees were using it for personal use, not sure. It had a half a tank of gas, was covered in dirt & min and the interior stunk like marijuana severely, I think the employees were probably smoking in the car on their break..... They did a quick spray on the interior to mask the smell (which did not last) I have to drop & pickup my kid at school in this car that stinks like marijuana.... I would have asked for another car but that's the only one they had that would fit my family and our car is broken down in the shop so this is our only choice unfortunately....The car was so dirty you couldn't see the damage until I noticed on Sunday that the windshield had a tiny crack in the corner and the inner fender well had come loose from the fender clips itself probably from the wind, obviously a product of a failed past repair.. We definitely did not damage this car, i babyed this car.. and when my mother-in-law returned the car for me today, Caleb wouldn't let her leave, held My elderly mother-in-law against her will! He would not let her leave until he got my insurance information, she called me scared while I was at work I had to drop everything I was doing to text this guy my insurance information Just so my mother-in-law could get away from this nut job (which I already gave him My insurance info when I rented the car) I was going to call the police on him but I just sent the insurance information over again... Tried to talk to him on the phone and he interrupted me rudely, talked over me very rudely telling me that I damaged his car which I did not. Very rude yelled at me and then hung up on me when I told him to shut up and listen to me..... This guy was obviously dropped on his head as a child and has some kind of mental instability.... He should not be working in the customer service industry whatsoever.... I don't even think this guy is mentally capable of flipping cheeseburgers at McDonald's.... I've already filed a complaint with corporate Enterprise... Caleb is a liar & a scammer trying to covering his own butt because he's too lazy to take care of his fleet... This will go to court if it has to.... If I caused this damage I would own up to it. I am not that kind of person.. but I am a kind of person who will defend myself to the end, when falsely accused... So beware if you rent from this place, Make sure you take pictures of all of the damage before you leave... And if it's covered in dirt and mud like this one was, to the point that you can't even see the damage, make them wash it first... Unfortunately I was in a hurry to get my kid from school so we didn't have time to do a walk around. Nor did Caleb even ask to do a walk around with me... He was in too much of a hurry to get the customers out of his office so he can go smoke marijuana in the rental cars and stuff his face on his lunch break... read more

We have rented from the Sonora location many times. The last two times haven't been good. One car with less than a 1/4 of a tank of gas and the second one "less than 1/2. The first thing you do not want to do when you rent a car for a long trip is have to stop to get gas. Also both cars were not cleaned and windshields were dirt. So I guess getting gas was ok so o could clean the windshield. read more

First time trying to rent a car worst experience ever!!! Made a reservation online with some not in United States. I asked if there was availability and she said yes! Then I go in the office and told Robert I had reserved a car on the phone and he really didn't look at his computer and said " no I don't have a car for you." He said to call back at 5 when they closed!!!! So I called every hour. And was put on hold! For about 30 mins the last phone call I made Robert answered and I asked is there any available cars! He said no and hung up! I will never ever rent a car from the Sonora enterprise!! I ended up. Renting a u haul which was way cheaper than the car I was supposed to rent!! Do better enterprise!! Save yourself the hassle and drive to the Jackson location instead. The "branch manager/supervisor"as he calls himself, of the Sonora Enterprise has no desire to honor what their website promises and has no interest in helping potential customers. I reserved a "Standard SUV" as described by their website. Attached you will see the description of the vehicles in this "Vehicle Class". "Pathfinder or similar. 5 people, 5 bags." When I called to confirm what vehicle I was getting, the day before my trip, he told me a Murano or similar. I explained that would not work and I needed a vehicle with 3 rows, as the reservation described. He made it very clear that he could not care less what I needed and the problem I was facing. Instead he repeated himself over and over and said the same packaged response that I had already countered with logic. He did nothing to overcome this false advertising issue. I took my business to Jackson, California and got a vehicle from Sergio at the Enterprise there. He went WAY beyond my expectations and found me a vehicle with 3 rows and even threw in a upgrade free of charge. That is what a true business who cares about their clients would do. Izzy and his team have taken care of my car rental needs since we moved here to Jamestown/Sonora, California in early 2021. In the latest one, spanning almost 3 months, they assisted me in getting a fantastic rate when my auto insurance rental coverage ran out. Initially they had a loaded Dodge Ram Laramie that I was able to rent for 2 weeks. I was able to haul a lot of material from my house to donate and dispose of. Then they allowed me to switch to a more economical but still higher end rental. Due to no fault of their own, and I chose it anyway, I was switched to a Jetta with sunroof, heated leather seats. Sadly, this vehicle had been transferred from another location and had been smoked it. without a complaint they got me into another nicely equipped vehicle. Fantastic customer service again. Probably the 5th or 6th time during this one long rental they had worked hard to take care of my and my families needs. Finally, Izzy accommodated us in allowing us to drop the vehicle anywhere in in California at an enterprise location. Due to the horrible state of new or used car inventory in the US, we had been looking to buy a replacement to our car which Farmers Insurance had totaled. We were willing to buy a car anywhere in California as long as it met some basic requirements. We spent 3 days and nights from the South Bay area to Yuba city trying to find something. Finally bout something late night Monday, and dropped the car off after hours in Hayward, CA. For some reason that location (again, NOT this location in Sonora, managed by Izzy) did not complete the return. They team at the Sonora location took care of getting the oversight by another location and closed out the car successfully. As you can tell, I am a happy customer. I have rented primarily from Enterprise sine the 90's when I traveled very extensively. Still today, over 25 years later Enterprise still does something right in the way they treat me as a customer. read more

After two trips to there Sonora office and multiple calls to there bullshit Sonora office phone number they were unsuccessful in renting me a car. I drove a mile up the street to HERTZ and had a car rented in minutes. Heres the cool thing. I can call the local Sonora HERTZ office and get an actual live person on the phone by simply hitting the #5. Keep outsourcing your office jobs overseas. .We love renting cars over the phone from people from other countries. read more

We were 3/4 of the way to our camping destination when my truck engine blew and we were loaded with camping gear. Adrian picked us up with a shuttle (he was wearing a mask and the shuttle had a clear screen between front and back). He went out of his way in every way to get us a vehicle that would fit our camping gear. We loaded all the gear into the rental, had AAA tow my truck home 150 miles and we made our camping trip and had a great time! Adrian even said we could temporarily store my truck in one of his parking spots if I needed (which I didn't) and that was A+ service in my mind. I would highly recommend this location! I've been a customer constantly with enterprise for 5+years, unfortunately today I had an experience that changed all of that. Upon returning my rental as per usual we went through the routine inspection. Not only was I told the car had an excessive amount of dog hair in it (I had a cover on the seat and didn't get around to vacuuming the stuff on the floor and the stuff that came off upon removing it this time) which has never been an issue but somehow they claimed I had damaged some small plastic piece on the front of the bumper/grill? Honestly not even sure how anyone could have seen or noticed it or how I could have possibly damaged that and yet the rest of the area be perfectly fine if it was genuinely my fault. Seems much more like it was something THEIR employees overlooked but they are of course going to file a claim and potentially attempt to charge me. This will be the last time I ever rent from enterprise again, poor customer service for someone who has been a valued customer for years. Quite ludicrous if you ask me. read more

I had the need for a one week car rental and I set it up through this Sonora office of Enterprise. Everything worked out great and both Benjamin and Elise were super helpful and a joy to work with. My schedule changed two separate times, and I ended up needing to rent the car two additional weeks and return it to a different location in the Bay Area. All it took were two quick phone calls back to Benjamin and he set up the changes for me quickly and efficiently and at the lowest weekly rate as originally quoted. I had a problem at your Sonora Ca location I reserved a vehicle on 12-24 at 10am I showed up at 10:15am and no vehicle was available. The employee then turned it on me as it was my fault that I should have called before I showed up. I said it doesn't say that in confirmation and he still insisted I should have known better to call first so he told me to call at 12 pm and called at 12pm and nothing was available. He told me he would call when it was ready to be picked up. Never got a call so I called at 3:15pm and got a recording the location was closed. I have sent multiple online messages regarding a refund on my points and have not heard back. read more

I have rented a car here twice. They have excellent customer service, the staff is very welcoming and pleasant.

Unfortunately I was hit by an oncoming truck and my car was totaled. Although I wasn't hurt badly, the experience was extremely traumatizing and to top it off, I was on my way to Seattle, moving halfway across the country, with everything I owned in my car. I could barely speak or think when I stopped in at Enterprise. In fact, I embarrassingly started crying so hard I couldn't even talk while he was trying to quote me on the price. It was a very busy time, and the gentlemen (there were two working that day) made sure to get me a car to rent THAT day and they were both so kind and compassionate.
