I visited Enterprise Rent-A-Car in Stockton, CA [3003 Auto Center Cir] for work-related car rental needs from Tuesday, 01/13/26 - Saturday, 01/17/26, and again from Tuesday, 01/27/26 - Saturday, 01/31/26. Each visit was straightforward and efficient. The staff members were welcoming upon arrival and facilitated the check-in process with ease. The rental terms, costs, and return process were all explained clearly when receiving the vehicle. The cars were very clean and readily available at the designated pick-up time. I also appreciated that the associates took the time to walk around each vehicle to document its condition and any visible damage before departure. I was even able to drop off the rental cars after business hours. I simply parked the vehicles in the return line and dropped the keys in the drop box. Overall, the level of customer service and efficiency met expectations. I would definitely rent from Enterprise again. read more

The customer service was great, the man that helped me made the process smooth and easy. I got a car right away. The reason why I'm leaving three stars is because the car had a strong mildew smell, so bad I had to get an air freshener. And the car was not cleaned prior to me getting it. I inspected the outside of the car but not the inside, I should have looked better before taking the keys. The front half of the vehicle had crumbs and sticky stuff everywhere. I had to clean it when I got home just so I wouldn't feel gross while driving. I soon discovered foot marks on the back side of the seats, pet hair, spilled food in the cupholders, and a large stain on the rear seat and the backside of the passenger seat. Ugh! Where do I start with this review? I rented a car through AAA Travel for this weekend. I was given a Mitsubishi Mirage; this car's brakes were so bad that they squeaked loudly, and it rode poorly as if it needed a tune-up, an oil change, or some other service. When going up a hill, it struggled. It's not a car I would rent, but I had to take it since they were going to charge me more for a Toyota Corolla. I shouldn't have been charged $137.00 for this crappy car. It's also a safety hazard to rent vehicles that don't have efficient brakes. Every time I come here, I make a reservation, and I still have to wait for someone to return the car. I made this reservation over a week ago. I even mentioned the car's condition to the woman at the counter, and she said, "Oh, again." Obviously, this car shouldn't be on the rental fleet. read more

Girl I dealt with was really nice but maybe I'm deaf and didn't hear the insurance they offered wasn't a one time or weekly $20 something fee but instead was a DAILY fee. No way did I understand I was opting in for insurance that equates to $7,200/year for a beater Chevy equinox lmao. I might've caught it if they printed out a contract to hand you for review while you're in the office like a company that wants to be sure you know all the terms of the contract, but corporate designed their process such that it's all on an iPad, and it's done while you're walking to the car to limit review time as much as possible. That is all by design and it's bs. Old people and non English first language people probably get fleeced like that all the time. $7,500 a year can get you COMMERCIAL PROPERTY INSURANCE on a 3 million dollar property lol. Whether it was said the fee was daily or not, I will steer clear of enterprise til I die for even thinking about offering me something so ridiculous on a beater Chevy equinox that smelled like something died every time the AC was on.... I am a regular customer here at the Stockton branch and I have to say I had excellent service this time. The office was clean and was decorated nicely with Christmas decor. It's Christmas season and I know it's busy but great smiles and friendly service was in the air. I am on crutches at the time and I came a little early before opening. I wanted to make sure I would be early to get a good vehicle. I stood at the door with my crutches and a sweet prince Steve came to the door and let me in. I was so surprised and happy to sit down. Steve was so friendly and cared for me with fast service and friendly conversation. It felt great like a true neighborhood company feel. I felt like I was a VIP. Lol. Anyhow it didn't end there. When I returned the truck Rin seems very quiet but she was very friendly and helpful to me and my husband when we returned. She went out of her way to help. I forgot to do something before returning the truck and she reminded me there was a grace period for me to return so I was able to go and return. Had she not reminded me I wouldn't have had the time to do so. She also tried to help me walk my coffee inside the office as I walk with my crutches. So sweet. After returning the truck, we waited to get a ride back home. Molina saw us waiting because the driver had left to take another couple home. Behind the scenes, Molina asked the sweet lady that washes the car to drive us home. You're so Awesome Molina. She's my favorite there at this office. But I'm so sorry, I didn't get our driver's name, maybe Leticia? Anyhow, she was an Awesome woman of God that we spoke with. I needed emergency service at a local car dealer. While there, I booked an Enterprise rental, which was just a short walk away. I was greeted as I approached the counter and checked in. The customer service rep named Will was friendly and professional. Besides handling the e-paperwork, he also made sure that I was comfortable with the unfamiliar keyless-start system. The car ran great, as well. I highly recommend this location! I was surprised to the batch of negative reviews prior to mine. But then I remembered Will giving direction to recent employee transfers to help them acclimate to the local branch. Reservation made through Costco travel. Have an out of state driver license. According to management credit cards need verification to have matching addresses to your driver license. Mine do, but they call up some third party verification company which is incompetent. They couldn't verify. So if you are from out of state, you might not be able to rent. Enterprise has been our go-to for renting a car but this Stockton location charges a deposit of $300, which to me is excessive and ridiculous especially for a 1 day rental (only using it for 9 hours not even a full 24 hour period). The car we rented is an "intermediate suv" and has over 36,000 miles and it has scratches all over it. We've rented in Hawaii, L.A. and other California locations before, much nicer and newer cars and the maximum deposit we've ever been charged is $200 and that's renting the car for several days. If I would've known the deposit was going to be that high I would've looked some place else. The fine print states a deposit hold for renting a car but it doesn't specify the amount. The rep who helped us said deposit could vary from $300-800!!! I feel a bit deceived. Very disappointed at Enterprise. Do not rent here. And if you really need to, make sure you know the deposit amount before signing the contract. read more

Always a bad experience at this place. You make a reservation and go there, no reservations in the system. They say, you must've called the 800 number, you didn't talk to anyone here. Then I say, no, I pushed the option to speak to your location. Then they figure out I did talk to their location, but it wasn't entered. So they say, I need to wait while they clean the car. After 45 minutes or more, they take me out to a car that smells like cigarettes, has crumbs on the seat and the windshield looks like it was cleaned with milk. Let begin with waiting at the office to get a rental then after hours of waiting I'm about to get set up and told the car is not available because it was sold. They apparently do rent to own and they weren't aware. Fast forward to the return. Returned the car on 22nd. Here we are on Dec. 1 and I been getting calls all week about an over due return. lol. I returned your junky beat up Tesla almost 2 weeks ago and you keep harassing me about an over due return. After numerous calls I finally get it resolved but now I'm being charged for 4 days of rentals. Nov. 27-Dec.1st. So you mean this company is so incompetent that they can't keep track of their returns and then they charge customers for a car they no longer have possession of? Unbelievable! I'm giving one star because I don't have a choice. I was getting a rental for one way to go to the sfo airport. I even called them the day before to verify with them and they said yes everything is good to go. About 6-7 hours before my pickup time I got a call and they said sorry I don't have a rental for you and I just blew a head gasket. I want to say that my experience with enterprise Rent-A-Car was great, the customer service was fantastic. I rented a Chevy Equinox for two weeks for a road trip from California to Texas. We had no issues with the car, the car was great very spacious, very clean and upon returning the car again we experienced wonderful customer service. The drop off was easy, I was sent a receipt through email, so not a lot of contact which is great during Covid. Definitely would recommend renting through Enterprise. read more

I bought a car here not to long ago and I just got to say how thrilled I am with my purchase when I bought my Kia everything was great until I realized my windows wouldn't roll down or they'd get stuck down. I contacted Paulo(salesman) and he was amazing. We ended up talking to Richard (manager) and they took my car to get fixed right away and gave me a rental free of charge. It took a few times to get my car fixed because Kia couldn't replicate the problems but they ended up fixing it and Paulo and Richard were in contact with me the whole time letting me know what was going on.
