Wonderful service from the staff here while my car was being worked on. The young lady who helped me was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions. I was a little disappointed when she picked me up in a super nice jeep, and then rented me a mini van. I would have preferred the jeep, but I'm not complaining it was a nice Pacifica and got me where I needed to go. Pick up and drop off were extremely easy and if I need a loaner again I would definitely use them. I really liked that the guy called me to follow up after I dropped it off at the dealer. Upon entering, I was warmly welcomed by the kind gentleman, Christian, at the counter. He informed me about the wait time, and then I had the pleasure of meeting Chloe, who was incredibly kind and helpful. I was in and out quickly thanks to the great customer service. If I could give this 10 stars, I would. My car was hit and I needed a rental car. My insurance set me up at this location. First off, Bryan Jones was absolutely incredible. So friendly, so helpful. He made me feel like a priority and so welcome to the store. The manager also took time to check in to make sure all was going well. A wrecked car is awful but my experience at this location was an actual bright spot in an otherwise stressful situation. read more

My vehicle was in the shop for a recall. They got me a rental from Enterprise. When we inspected the vehicle before rental they give you a plastic card with a clear 2in. circle and tell you that any damage that fits in this circle is ok. Don't believe them, take pictures of all the damage you find, no matter how small. Make them take pictures of it too. I noticed a couple of dings on the vehicle they rented me but they fit in the circle so I didn't say anything. Then after I dropped the vehicle off at the dealership when my vehicle was ready. I get a call the next day saying they found damage on the rental. Damage that I didn't repot because it fit in the 2in circle. So don't trust the person inspecting the vehicle with you before rental. If they tell you something is ok because it fits in the circle make them take pictures of it anyway. read more

Incompetency is the most accurate description of this business. I was told I had an appointment at 1400 hrs. I showed up at 1400, they didn't have a car, and said it would be at least 30 min, as they needed to clean a car up from another location and transport it. Why in the heck would anyone schedule an appointment for a specific time, knowing full well they don't have the ability to follow through. I Called back today, they're clueless, they're having a "car situation" so apparently I'm left to leave this review, and go find a car somewhere else. Garbage! read more

Don't go to this place. They are horrible! I wouldn't even rate them at 1 star. They accused me of putting excessive damage (dents) on the hood of a car that I rented to get my vehicle repaired at the local Collison shop down the road. I dropped the car off at the collision shop and Enterprise picked it up as they told me to (my bad on this). A few hours later, I received a call from the gal that rented me the car, and she noticed/accused me of putting excessive dents on the hood of the car and they would be turning it into their recovery team. Such BS. I pointed out dents on the car, damaged/scuffed front bumper and was told oh don't worry about if that that was normal wear and tear. Take pictures of all the damage on the vehicle, trust no one at Enterprise car rental. Take lots of pictures of all damage, dents and scuff marks no matter how big or how small. They will try and screw you over. Horrible place and team especially from the gal there that accused me of putting dents on the hood of the car. I received a letter from their recovery team and will be fighting this as their claim is complete BS. read more

I can't leave a 5 star review because of the cars themselves. The "complete clean pledge" Enterprise prides themselves on is a joke! The exterior of the vehicles were clean, but the interiors, on both cars, were filthy and stinky. I used my own antibacterial wipes to clean the "most touched surfaces" and the result was disgusting. UPDATE : 15 min after I posted my review a nice man called to say they were going to credit my card for the gas. THANK YOU! Ally and Aldean great customer service the other other chick not so much. The mixed guy who checked me in was cool too though. I accidentally over filled the car I picked it up on half returned at full they couldn't even take off $10. Kinda sleezy bad service. I am told they don't fill cars up on purpose for this reason. So this gets them poor ratings but the two reps where awesome. They were able to accommodate me and transfer my reservation since I booked at a further location out on accident but as for honest co. They get a thumbs down. I had a rental because of a car accident where the other party was at fault. After hours night two, the battery needed to be replaced. National office informed me I would be reimbursed and I was reassured it would be a check. I waited 5 weeks. After the car was returned, my credit card was reimbursed for the amount of the battery. However, my car rental expenses were reduced. The insurance will only pay for the amount of my rental expenses. I'm out the amount of what I paid for the battery. The communication in this process has been horrible. When I talked with the assistant manager, he repeatedly talked over me. I would never recommend this place. read more

Okay so I have been wanting to finance a car for a while now and have been to a couple places I won't mention... and felt like I was in a shark tank and really didn't understand what was going on . So while renting a car through enterprise spending way over budget I seen that they sold cars. I went in the website and did the paperwork to finance and to my surprise i found out instantly and had a appointment the next day. So my experience going in was unsure thinking they were not going to give me a chance with the little down payment . But I'll tell you hands down this place that makes you feel like they are a family come together and make you feel like you have a million bucks lol .So Mechelle and Crystal are the best ever ... they worked together to make sure that everything worked in my favor. And Mechelle I just can't say enough she explained every little thing to make sure that I didn't miss anything . Her boss even came and jumped in to help and make adjustments. Rented a vehicle from the S Tacoma Way Enterprise last year and had a 5 star experience. Turned in rental car today after a 5 week rental and the young female employee could not get the driver's side door open. She did not say we would definitely be charged for the door issue, but mentioned the possibility. I promptly opened the door without any issue. My wife did the same as confirmation the door handle was fully functional. The employee seemed perplexed and once again she could not open the door. Upon visual inspection, the door handle and area surrounding it showed zero damage. Not a good idea to suggest paying for a repair when it was an obvious case of operator error. Even if the mechanism failed, no evidence to suggest I did any damage. The employee then inquired about missing parking lights. I was able to say with complete accuracy I did not remove the parking lights. At the moment, I was unsure how far the employee would press the issue, but I made a mental note of the fact I had photographic evidence taken minutes after renting the car showing the absence of the parking lights. The employee did in fact press us about the missing lights. I informed the employee the car was swapped out at a different location and the representative did not walk around the vehicle for a visual inspection. I added the fact I did not sign off on the vehicle swap, I was merely given keys and drove off. I chose to reiterate the fact I did not remove the parking lights. The employee then crossed the line by stating she was willing to obtain video footage of the representative walking around the car to show she documented the parking lights were present when I took possession of the vehicle. Knowing I was absolutely in the right, I quickly invited her to acquire the video footage. The conversation concluded and the south Tacoma rep called my wife 30 minutes later to state she verified the parking lights had been removed by Enterprise or the dealership quite some time ago and the area was covered up with plastic. Ultimately, the female employee did take an accusatory tone and pressed the matter when she was dead wrong. Moving forward, she does need better training. It should also be explained when unsure about something, attempting to back a customer into a corner is a poor approach. Her job is to stay in her lane and rent cars, not to treat missing parking lights as a murder investigation. We will not be doing business with the south Tacoma Enterprise again. read more

UNLIKE my reviews of other Enterprise locations, THIS is the place you should go. Managers are young but older and more mature than the other two Enterprises I reviewed recently. They go the extra mile to give a good deal. They have time for people at this location. Long story short they put customer first. I try to sense what the norm of a place is if I can, just quietly ask myself if I think every day here is like my own experiences, allowing that I might be wrong. Gives me a sense of what I think the management is like. I do this to at least try to prevent myself from giving a bad review when It could just be a kind of fluke of a day. I have used this place before and should have gone here first (see other enterprise reviews of nearby alternate locations)...and before they were great too. Would not rent from this particular location again. We were told we got a free upgrade. We had a newer Nissan Altima. It was nice, had a screen, nice (cloth) seats, & drove great. The only issues we had were the brakes- they were super squeaky & the oil/filter change message came on on our second day. When we brought the car back to Enterprise, the guy said not to worry, that it had just been serviced OR! WE could take it to TNT ourselves to get the car serviced. All we had to do was tell them it's an Enterprise rental. We declined to use our own vacation time to service the vehicle & asked if we could keep the car an extra day. The gentleman said our last day would be pro-rated since we came in due to an issue with the vehicle & interrupting our plans. When returning the vehicle, I checked the receipt & we never got a pro-rated price for the last day (& didn't get one because it wasn't noted in the system) & when called for the survey the next day, the woman did not want to hear why I said I was unsatisfied with my service. BUT! I do appreciate that they (Enterprise as a company) let me use my debit card instead of my credit card. *to piggy-back off of another review about waiting & people getting skipped due to returns is true. Plan on spending a solid hour waiting to pick up a rental car even if you have a reservation and arrive at your scheduled pick up time. For some reason, it's important for the Enterprise person who is in the middle of helping you at the counter to ANSWER THE PHONE CONTINUALLY to help other people. Also, the people coming in to return cars also seem to take priority over people picking up so you'll get passed over so they can get help, too. And lastly, the person who explains he can't help you because he has to "oversee" everything also needs to take some time to text. This review is for the Washington street location, where I find the employees for the most part to be careless and somewhat lazy. While I had no complaints about the quality of the vehicles, which I used for 5 months, I found their attention to detail lacking. I accidentally left my garage door opener in my car when I turned in the car at the dealership and immediately told them within minutes after the car pulled out of the parking lot. That door opener was never seen again. And frankly they don't care. Just because many people forget their garage door openers, does not make it okay to treat them like trash. Ugh! read more

Was rear-ended on I-5, putting my car, which I use daily for work, out of commission. I've used Enterprise while traveling for work, so called them for help. They picked me up at work, patiently assisting me to the car as the wreck banged me up a bit, in addition to my car. Once on site, staff were the epitome of customer service, compassionate about the fact that I might need to charge the rental expense while awaiting the offending drivers insurance to step up and cover necessary expenses, helpful in locating a car (it was a busy day for them) and endlessly kind in attempting to get expense coverage authorization from the insurance company. The representative I worked with, Josh, did everything he could to make the transaction as smooth as possible. Thank you, Josh, and thank you, Enterprise, for going above and beyond during my time of need! I'm back again! My car is in the shop and once again, Enterprise saved me! I gave them one star because I had to give them something. Here is my sad tale. No, I did not have a pleasant experience at Enterprise Rental... I'll tell you why: The week before Thanksgiving of 2017, my car, parked on the side of the road, was totaled by a driver who was not paying attention. During the negotiation period with his insurance company, I needed to drive a rental. After doing some pricing, I picked Enterprise. They were the least expensive... I think I know why now. After 4 weeks, I still needed the car. I was told I needed to come in to re-up my contract after such an extended rental... the agent at the store informed me, "You know, we are NOT a leasing company but a rental company." Wow, I was tempted to take my rental business somewhere they wanted it... but to avoid the pain of having to get a new rental, I agreed to come in the following day. I asked to speak with the manager, Oscar Eason. I told him what the agent said to me... he was professional and apologetic and everything was fine... until he gave me the bill for the first 4 weeks. I had ordered Sirius XM radio in the rental but it quit halfway through the second week. When I called about it, the agent said, oh yeah, we had trouble with it so we turned it off. (??) I said, okay then, take it off my bill and make sure to only charge me for the first week. When I originally rented the vehicle, I was asked specifically if I wanted to buy their insurance. I specifically said no, as my insurance was covering me. So, what did the 4 week bill have on it? 4 weeks of Sirius XM and $174 for the insurance... both of which I specifically did not want and stated as such. Again, Oscar was all apologies but this time I wasn't taking it. They tried to overcharge me by $200. After raising my voice a little (but no yelling and no cuss words... so proud of myself) he agreed to take ALL the Sirius XM from my bill and backout the insurance charge. Final bill for 4 weeks, $657.95. We were good again... until he quoted me the price for an additional 2 weeks. "You know," he said, "it is the Christmas season when the cars are the most in demand. For an additional 2 weeks, it will be $1500." More than FOUR TIMES THE RATE OF THE PREVIOUS 4 WEEKS! *crickets* I had to compose myself before I said anything. After a deep breath, I said, "OH No no no no no no no... that is not how we do business. You just tried to overcharge me $200 and you want to gouge me at 4 times the rate just because its Christmas!!! Oh NO...." Oscar looked uncomfortable and other customers were taking notice. I just stood there, looking at him, incredulous. I said, "Having me re-up my contract looks amazingly like a ploy to get more money out of me." I was ready to call my husband to say, "Come get me... I am outta here," when Oscar reduced that rate by less than half. Okay, Oscar, I had to have a hissy to get a more reasonable rate? Couldn't you have done that in the first place? I already had a really bad taste in my mouth due to the blatant overcharge but you ruined it forever when you tried to price gouge me. You might have kept me as a customer had you done the right thing in the first place. So, the moral of the story is... READ YOUR BILL. If you don't understand some of the obscure acronyms, ask. Don't ever assume someone isn't trying to rip you off... even an established company like Enterprise, from whom I will never rent again. read more

After an unfortunate hit and run event, I was recommended to come to Enterprise to rent a car by my insurance company while my car gets fixed. The staff here was extremely helpful. I called before I came to make sure they had a car available. I spoke with a guy named Keaton. He was extremely professional and very informative over the phone when I was trying to get the scoop on the entire process in general. When I got to the location to pick up the car, a man named Blake helped me with my paperwork and information. He was also very kind and helpful as well. Both of them took an interest with small talk and made this horrible morning a little less painful. Blake offered me their insurance but after I told him that my insurance company would cover any potential damaged he just said no problem and we moved on. Beware of the 'damage' scam being run by Enterprise ... if anything happens to the car while in your possession, Enterprise will charge you for it. When I returned the car I was told there was some minor damage to the car. When I told him I didn't do it, he essentially said "your a liar, and beside the car was fine when it left this office, so any damages that occur after that time are your responsibility." After getting home, I started checking around the internet about Enterprise Rent-A-Car, and I discovered Several Hundred Complaints from across the United States about Enterprise. Almost all of these on-line complaints were very similar to my experience ... so beware of this damage scam. If you must rent a car from Enterprise, I highly recommend paying for the additional insurance - mainly to protect yourself from this scam. read more
