Worst customer service, bully unethical customer service. Never have i seen such unprofessional employees. We spent two days trying to confirm with multiple corporate employees our reservation would be honored only to have the Taos NM employees make up new rules and policies and over step corporate due to wanting to power trip we assume. We are still confused to why any one would want to avoid providing a service they sell ?? The regional manager while not rude was just as bad literally said they have different policies for different areas of her region . Saying since the border is near?? Can we say racist ... what ? We had a 45 min drive with a guarantee from corporate that if this employee interfered the regional manger would step in. She did not a thing but give incorrect info that I knew was incorrect about her own policies. I cited the website and my research and corporates agreement. They don't care the employees don't and the regional manager doesn't care to lose only a few thousand dollars a year from our rentals. They are demeaning disrespectful , dishonest and no one should do business with this company anywhere in the world knowing nothing will be done to remedy this customer service fail. The money time and frustration due to this business is maddening . Enterprise Rent-A-Car - Taos NM; Enterprise Rental - Car Rental Near Me - Taos, New Mexico

When I made the reservation the 1-800 customer service lady said that I would have to call their office in Taos and request a pickup at the Taos airport because there are no autos at the airport. However when I later viewed the reservation online I saw that she had requested that the auto be delivered to the airport anyway. Fearing the worst, I called the Taos Enterprise office themselves - and was advised that they do not pickup customers at the airport and that we would have to find our own way from the airport to their rental office (in the town of Taos - 30 minutes away). The lady did give me the numbers of two Uber drivers who had autos large enough for our golfing party. Had I not called the local office we would have been stranded at the Taos airport. We ended up canceling our Enterprise rental before the trip even began. This was not a good experience, and it would have been disastrous had we continued with that rental. This is probably the WORST possible ever customer service I have EVER received. I had the confirmation code for the rental vehicle in my inbox for a week and a half. Got dropped off there this morning to pick up the rental and was informed that in fact they had nothing available. They pulled my reservation, printed a copy of it but couldn't provide a rental until maybe Wednesday? Today is Monday. I asked the worker, Marissa Mondragon, for her manager's name so that I could communicate this to the entity that rented the car on my behalf and was informed by her that his name was Rafael, when I asked for his last name she said should couldn't pronounce it nor spell it. I asked her for his business card and she said he didn't have any available. There was another gentleman that walked in, same thing Marissa informed him that there was nothing available even though he had booked it last week, but she was "very sorry" that he was number five on the list this morning... They offered absolutely NOTHING to remedy this situation for me, or this gentlemen. Please don't do business here, they have HORRIBLE customer service and they won't help you, they simply do not care. read more

We rented a car from Alamo at the Albuquerque airport. Subsequently, it had engine issues so we arranged to exchange it for a different car in Taos. The Enterprise (same car rental family) location in Taos was excellent. All three staff persons were efficient, kind, and made the transfer very easy. I would not hesitate to recommend this location. read more

Worst costumer service ever, had to go online to even get a car sent to this location. Then an employee sent me away for being fifteen minutes early for the pickup. Then the same employee made up company policy that would not allow her to rent the car to me. Only after to talk there corporate that that was up to the branch to deci and that this employee wouldn't even call them to check. Four days into trying to rent a car and still no luck. Avoid this branch of enterprise at all cost a waste of time and energy. read more

I arrived to this agency 15 minutes after opening. The agents had my reservation confirmed but would not assist me. They made me wait outside in 20 degree weather for 4 hours. When they finally came to me with my rental vehicle, a tire was leaking air. They took it to a recent shop for repair. After roughly 45 minutes, i asked where the vehicle was and was told they are bringing me a different vehicle. The customer service was very poor and I do not recommend this agency. read more

Usually the reason I rent is particularly stressful (car in shop, etc.). After a very bad accident that totaled my truck, I found myself having to rent again. Raphael was wonderful. I told him about my accident and that I wanted the "biggest truck on the lot" and he gave me a light truck in the meanwhile and promised that a large truck would be available in 2 days. True to his word, I picked up a large truck 2 days later. He also worked with my insurance company and made dealing with all the paperwork a breeze. He and Estrella went out of their way to provide services above & beyond my expectations. Raphael answers emails promptly and exhibited the highest degree of professionalism. Kudos to all! I can't tell you how much I appreciate all this, especially in light of how traumatized I was after the accident. They even made arrangements for us to drop the rental in Amarillo while we were there buying our new truck, so my husband and I could drive home to Taos, together. Taos Branch was somewhat grubby, as was the car when I got it. Half washed with a 1/2 tank of fuel so I had to go fill it myself before leaving town. Angelica did her best, but she needs to make a little more effort to clean up the cars and fill 'em up before renting them. read more

I booked a car 10 days ago. My car needs repair and my insurance company authorized a rental. I phoned Enterprise in Taos, gave the authorization number, the date, time and location where the car would have to be dropped off, and was told that my reservation had been confirmed. I dropped off my car this morning at the repair shop and waited for the Enterprise car. After 15 minutes, I called Enterprise and was told that they had no car, would not have any in the foreseeable future and therefore could not honor my reservation. I am speechless. They did not have the decency to call me to say they had no car. On the contrary they told me that as they had not called me, I should have assumed they could not provide me with a car!!! This is thoroughly unacceptable. UPDATE: Five stars to the regional manager of Enterprise in Albuquerque. Within 3 hours of posting my review, he had secured a car for me (I suppose they brought it from another location). When I went to pick up the car, the young woman at the counter was friendly and helpful. I am therefore giving it now 3 stars (from an initial rating of one star) read more

My initial visit to this office was with two friends of mine who made the experience quite miserable. After a falling out with them while on vacation and numerous attempts to get everything straightened out, Rafael and Amber had me in a new car and out of the office within minutes. My friends as well as other reviewers were upset to find they needed a credit card to rent, however this is a pretty common policy and not exactly unreasonable. I was also grateful to Rafael for as a wedding gift to us he gave us a break on the out of state drop fee. Thank you again Rafael and Amber!! read more

The company that picks you up cannot even be bothered to drive ten minutes to pick me up when my car is undrivable. Started walking but realized I wouldn't make it there before they close at noon which is also horrible business hours. They don't deserve my business anyway. read more

Caveat Emptor - Checking vehicle out was easy. Checking it back in was not. Took almost two hours, and two people to get it done, one having to be coaxed out of the office when the first jumped in his truck and disappeared. The issue, a cracked windshield and two other customers that arrived behind us but were taken care of first... really. When the key documents for the subrogation - filing the windshield claim with Credit Card Service - could not be made available at the rental lot, they simply overcharged my card and said Card Services would cover it. Five phone calls to Enterprise Damage Recovery, finally resulted in the subrogation package being submitted and confirmed received by Card Services. In the meantime, the representative from Damage Recovery refunded the excess charge, without any explanation - I thought it was a refund due to bad service... This representative is very difficult to contact, as that VM is full. And, just found out all emails and correspondence sent by the rep were never received. So, subrogation packages to Card Services, emails and correspondence all disappear? With all the documentation in place finally, Enterprise decides to refund the balance of the original charge. Why, all I requested was the subrogation docs get to Card Services? Now 90+ days later, Damage Recovery discovers they goofed in refunding the money because instead of paying Enterprise, Card Service paid me. So, more time and energy researching this issue and yes, that happened during the Holidays and I did not notice this in my card statement, being less than the the claim amount. Now trying to get to a supervisor has been a real challenge in sorting out the error by Enterprise, who seems unwilling to consider my time is worth something too - some good faith here? The final straw: "they have kept this from going to collections, so are contacting me now for payment" - for something I was told was settled and closed 90 or so days ago and documented as such. Another in a long list of errors. Enterprise has lost me as a future customer! Good luck if you chose them. read more

This is a very small car rental office and the two or three employees that are there are ALWAYS super helpful. It's a thankless job with likley thankless pay and they are always ready to help me get the car I'm asking for. The manager even went to ABQ, which is two hours away, to get me the suburban with all the features for a boys hockey trip. it was AWESOME!!! read more

Terrible business. My family was planning a trip and was going to use Enterprise for transportation, so we arranged a reservation for the weekend to use a car for 5 days. We made calls, we double and triple checked what we may need to completely fulfill the rental. When we arrived, the man who was working there told us that all of our information was wrong, and that we have been misinformed. He stayed unhelpful and soon wouldn't even begin to help is or even be slightly understanding. I was looking forward to traveling with Enterprise, but after this experience, I'm left with a bad taste in my mouth, and the broken hearts of my family because of these people. Excellent service - went above and beyond to give me a good experience. First, when I was not comfortable with the vehicle which had been reserved for me, they quickly switched me over to a different vehicle which I was more at ease driving. Then, the windshield cracked, the first time I turned on the defroster. Enterprise agreed that this damage was not my fault, and took care of it themselves. I'd give them a -10 if it was an option. Horrible service and deceitful. Things went wrong from the beginning in Albuquerque when I was 'automatically charged fuel surcharge fee'. I was assured with the note from the representative in Albuquerque that the Taos office would be able to remove that charge as 'their system couldn't be overridden since it was not the final destination point.' I attempted to return the vehicle where I was told (Taos Airport) but neither staff from Enterprise nor airport were at the airport. There was a lockbox for returns shoved in a corner and unlocked. I called the Taos office and they said, "Yeah, we don't staff that location until SUMMER 2016"! I returned the car at the Taos branch. I gave the paper from the Albuquerque representative and was reassured that "the additional fuel charges would be removed." I reserved a SUV for my return trip to Albuquerque and on the evening prior to my departure I received a confirmation that my vehicle would be ready for pick up the following day. I went to the Taos Enterprise office to pick up my rental and was told "No SUVs were available for several weeks", and was summarily offered a standard size vehicle, which lacked the luggage space I required. I had to make alternative plans at the last minute to make my flight later that afternoon. No SUVs available for WEEKS? Really? Even with the email confirmation? To add insult to injury, my credit card was billed an additional $75 fuel surcharge fee was added! NEVER rent from these people. They are not only incompetent, but dishonest as well! read more
