I only use Enterprise but after today, I am going to shop around because this experience was a joke. They confirm my rental, did the early check in and called early in the morning for pick. First call, was on hold for 20mins just to have them tell me to call back closer to my pick up time. I call back, on hold 15 and then 30mins later I was picked up. Pick up guy was nice. It ended there, the manager was not have a clue on how to manage. It was chaos. Then the lady tells me they do not have what I reserved but can put me in a car. What happened to upgrading when you do not have the reservation bc of poor planning? I noticed the nice SUV the man picked me up in was available...... I agree to a car and they pull up in a little piece of shit like teenager car,l with large dents. I ask about the dents and the cars safety and he looks in the truck and says I have a spare tire.... serious..that is your response. They also asked the 3 ppl before if they wanted their car washed but not me. I got a flithy nasty car that I had to stop at gas station to clean the windshield. This car has no safety sensors, no blinds pot sensors. You can hear all road noise. I did get a flash back to my teenage years when we would drive anything to get around... I them complained about the cost as it was almost the same as my rear ation but a pos car... the man says yeah its only a 10 difference. I said after all this, if you plan to charge me this much, I want the level of suv that I reserved. He said he would waive the gas. That is noce but it is the way he said it, like I am such an asshole that he is paying for it out of pocket to shut ne up. If you want a trash rental.... go here. Wow. Just wow. The customer service, the vehicle they tried to give us. I'm beside myself. We've come to this location multiple times in the past and this is a first. I came to get a vehicle because my car is in the shop. I had a reservation through my insurance company and I was quoted at approximately $34 a day (no type of vehicle mentioned). My husband and I get to Enterprise and are met with a young man at the counter who immediately dismisses me because the reservation was in my husband's name (he just happens to be the primary on the insurance card). The associate was asking my husband questions but he didn't hear it so I was trying to help and give the information. I was dismissed again. The kid even laughed at us. He was taking a while getting our information processed. He didn't know how to pull up our previous card on file and instead of asking a coworker for help, he just said he couldn't access it until later. At this point we are getting frustrated and we have another appointment we need to get to. The kid finally takes us out to look at the car and says he's going to check the vehicle for milage and damage. He asked if a Nissan Altima was okay, I said it was. I never chose the vehicle or made a request for a full sized sedan. I'm going off of whatever my insurance approved. As he gets in the car he tells us there is less than a 1/4 tank of gas. Great, now we have to fill up before we even need to leave. We go to look around the vehicle together and I was pointing out a few scratches (one was very large). He very flippantly stated it was already documented and then went to show me on his iPad. I said that's fine, I just wanted to make sure. When I pointed out another dent he got frustrated with me and curtly said it was too small to document. At that point I was done with this kid's attitude. I stepped aside and told my husband I was done and I didn't want to speak to the associate anymore. As they get into the contract of the rental my husband asked how much the car was per day. The associate said something like $67. My husband advised that we had called the day before and were told $34. The kid says that quote would be for a compact car. Ok, then why didn't you give us a compact car?? We didn't make a request for the Altima. You can tell he's getting more and more agitated with us because we had questions and he can't handle that he doesn't have answers. We all have to go back inside now and he has to run everything by one of the managers. The manager looks at the account and says the total for 2 days is $67... so this kid was getting frustrated with us because he can't read. Everything is finally getting wrapped up, my husband goes to get in the vehicle and he's completely disgusted. The Altima REAKED of marijuana. It smelt like someone had been smoking in there for a week and they just tried to cover the smell with a whole can of air freshener. Now I go back inside and the kid we had before is gone. Another young lady walked over and asked if I needed help. I told her the problem and she walked out with me. When she got in the car she said she noticed the smell and said she would have to process out that car and get us another one. At this point we're running late for our next appointment. My husband asked her just about how long that would take because we needed to leave. She IMMEDIATELY got upset and said "just give me time!". I was dumbfounded. She then got out of the car, walked back to the office saying "I'm already helping someone and I don't feel good". First of all, when I came back into the office, she wasn't helping anyone. Secondly, I've been in customer service for a VERY long time and I've NEVER walked away angry from a customer or used the excuse that I don't feel good. What is happening at this location?? We've NEVER had issues here before and now we're met with TWO horrible service reps and a disgusting vehicle. We rent vehicles here at least once every few months for travel and this was the first time we haven't been in and out of there in about 15 minutes with excellent service reps. Better training is definitely needed for these two. At that point my husband was ready to walk away. He said he wanted to cancel the reservation completely. Another lady came out to us to see if she could help and I said I wanted to speak to the manager. She said she was also a manager there so I proceeded to tell her about our visit. She seemed very nice and apologetic. I appreciate her talking to us but at that point the damage to their reputation was already done. I'm not sure we'll be coming back to this location again. Hubby and I had to get a rental car when our car got side swept, and our insurance company led us to Enterprise. They had a driver come and pick us up from the repair shop so we could get our rental car from them. The service was super fast and we were in and out quickly once they pulled up the car we were using. The car was clean enough and I'm glad that the interior didn't have a bad scent. I appreciate that once we didn't need the rental anymore, we didn't have to return it to Enterprise, but we just had to leave it at the repair shop for them to pick up. I love the convenience and would use them again if anything happens again. read more

Additionally, I might make additional reservations at other rental locations as backups in case this location runs out of available vehicles. The numerous negative reviews mentioning dirty cars, cigarette odors, cracked windshields, and attempts to pass on repair costs to customers raise concerns about whether this is truly a premium rental agency. Customer service sucks in this location, I returned a car that has an existing windshield chips and because I had to turn on the heater/front vent, the chip got bigger and they are trying to charge me for the whole windshield cost. They want customer to pay for the damage or file a claim against my insurance to cover their costs. I have only rented a car there for a couple days although I will be returning and using one for several days is my own car is in a body shop. There also is clean employees are polite and congenial and from my appearance it looks like they do a good job. I know they were very accommodating with me. Which is wonderful when you're dealing with an insurance company. Nelson Chavez is the person I've been working with and he's very personable and just gets in there and gets everything completed. Very disappointing experience with this Enterprise location. I was charged an extra $20 for being just 34 minutes late, which felt unreasonable. On top of that, when I returned the car, I was asked to wait 20-25 minutes for a drop-off ride back. After waiting over 30 minutes, they told me they were short on staff and unsure when they could help. The staff member was very rude and unprofessional. Enterprise Rent-A-Car - Toyota Tacoma that I got rented out of Enterprise - Car Rental Near Me - Tracy, California

Cancelled my rental with less than a day's notice (I'm supposed to pick it up tomorrow morning!). The manager Alex just phoned me to tell me that the car I had reserved (an 8 passenger SUV) is no longer available. When I asked why, he said they had some returns with damage, but they had a 5 passenger vehicle. I told him that wouldn't work. His tone and attitude indicated to me that he didn't care and this was now my problem. He said he called other locations (doubtful) and that he would keep trying (the tone did not match the words in the least). Looking on their app right now, it shows an 8 passenger SUV available, albeit at about $200 more than the price I had reserved. I will not be renting from Enterprise again. read more

I needed a car because someone sideswiped me. So the other persons insurance covered me for a rental while my car got fixed at caliber up the street. They claimed they'd have my reservation set up for me. The day comes for me to take my car in, caliber calls the shuttle, we waited a good 20 mins for it to arrive, you need a mask to get in, mandatory. We arrived at enterprise. To my surprise the rental isn't ready.. they scheduled it for the wrong day. So now I have to wait some time for them to find a car for me. My boyfriend and I decide to walk to Buffalo Wild Wings to eat while we wait. We walked across the street, ate, drank and came back and still no car ready. They offered a Denali ready to go, but with gas prices I was not about to drive a big ass Denali around. So I had to wait an extra 15mins. Took them overall 1h 45m. Then they don't even give me a sedan as promised. I got a lil suv, luckily it was a gas saver so it wasn't too bad. I'm not a fan of rental car places. They did have 4 seats inside and water machine. read more

This is going to be a long review, so I apologize in advance. I booked a car two months in advance. I got to the place and was told that the car, which was a premium car, was not available and they could give me a full size. Normally they would call to let me know so I knew what to expect going in, but this location never did. Since it was short notice, I said fine, so the guy shows me a mini SUV, and I look inside, and it was disgusting. The cream seats were dirty, and the center console was all marked up. So I told the guy I didn't want it because it was nasty inside, and he said he had another one. So I go to that other one and tell him that it's fine without looking at it since he said it was a better one, and I rent it. I get inside, and it was in the same condition as the first one. (I knew I should have looked before signing.) So I went inside, and I told another gentleman that I don't want it and to cancel my reservation, and he was trying hard to get me a clean vehicle. I wish I would have gotten his name because he was trying hard. Unlike the other guy, who just acted like he didn't like his job and wasn't interested in really helping me, I really wish I would have gotten his name, but he was a super tall guy with blonde hair. Anyways, I lost my points and was never credited back after canceling, and I've been with Enterprise for over 15 years and have never been offered such disgusting cars. So I will not be going back to the one in Tracy and will only be going to either Manteca or Modesto. I wish I would have taken photos so people can see the type of vehicles they are renting out. Just a suggestion but go get your cars detailed seriously. read more

The guy who helped us when we originally picked up the car was super nice and patient too. We had an issue with the insurance company so he helped us call them to verify all the information. Dana was the associate helping us today, and I have to say, she was so helpful! After renting from Hertz the day before, her customer service was definitely 5 stars worth! Got a good midsize suv and she did a walk through with us. There was tree sap on the side window, and she went out of her way just to take it off for us! We told her not to worry about it, but she totally still did it! There was a little stain in the trunk as well, and she took that off as well. We just showed her that it was there so they don't end up charging us for it, but she said not to worry about it and that she'll take it right off! Thank you Dana! Very fast customer service, if you're told to wait its because its a busy day so its understandable. But generally very quick once they attend you. I've rented twice here and never had a problem with the customer service or vehicles they provided me. If you book an appointment to rent a vehicle, they will call you before hand to make sure all the details are correct to prevent any delay once you go there. After that, you just show up and pick up your vehicle in less than 5 minutes. They also provide a shuttle if you live close by! read more

The staff here is less than 1 star. I reserved a car, and on the day of pick up, I got a call saying when I arrive, I will have to wait quite a while for them to find me a car for me. I am disappointed. However, I got a ride there only to be told they were closing right then, and they didn't have a car anyway. Now, keep in mind they called me once to say I would have to wait but couldn't manage a call back to say they didn't have a vehicle. They let me come all the way there before telling me in the most uncaring, rude manner possible. I had to call somewhere else and get the help I needed as they rolled their eyes and shrugged their shoulders as they gave the impression they could give a darn on my way out. Do NOT use this Enterprise in Tracy EVER. Unless you just want to pay money to be treated like crap. This Enterprise is a -5 stars, and that's too good for them. read more

I recently came I toe Tracy, Ca location in Naglee Rd on 4/18/19 and 4/19/19. Mike the manager and McKenna were the worst employees I have worked with at an enterprise location. I came in to rent a car where McKenna attempted to give me a damaged car with no gas. She was not clear about the policies, insurance, and overall payment. I did not feel confident giving her my card at all. The next day I wanted to add more insurance where my mother and I worked with Mike who attempted to up sell us on the insurance and was not clear about the deposit. When my mother and I had questions he laughed and spoke to us very condescendingly. My mother and I felt very offended. I have never had such bad customer service at a rental place until now. UPDATE: I came into this location again to try and give them another chance but bottom line is that they are incredibly racist and do not treat their customers of color well. The shuttle/valet driver they have is very rude and disrespectful. He has zero customer service experience by the way he treats and talks to people. It's my second time having to use the valet service and the older guy being the driver; on both occasions. The first time it happened I expressed my concerns to the front desk and they said they'll notify management and talk to him. I expressed my experience this last time and they said the same exact speech as stated above. I asked if the guy was the owner they stated no. I wouldn't recommend this establishment ever; go to Manteca or Livermore. He drives recklessly and almost hit a lady walking through the parking lot. He didn't stop or blink an eye. read more

Enterprise car rental at Tracy have the worst incompetent employees. I've been an enterprise member since 2005 and I could honestly say that the Management and the team is the WORST. Their Customer Service is beyond sub PAR. "F". They charge us an additional hour when the clerk Jonathan stated that you will not get charged if you bring the car in before 5:30 PM and on top of that they charge us gas. When in fact we returned the car with the exact amount of gas when we picked it up. I had observed several paying customer treated with no Dignity and Respect. We drive all the way there to be told " we don't have that car .. or wait we do but can't rent it out " I understand Covid is going on but shouldn't you be able to tell people the truth before you send them on a 30min drive one way to try and switch them when they get there ?
