The professionalism and customer service are a big part of why I continue to choose Enterprise whenever I travel. My most recent experience at TF Green Airport was particularly memorable thanks to Madeline. I arrived around 11:30 PM on a Sunday night after a long day of travel. Despite the late hour, Madeline was friendly, professional, engaging, and genuinely pleasant to work with. She explained everything clearly and invited me to choose from several vehicles in the category I had reserved. The process was quick, easy, and stress-free. Six days later, I returned to drop off the vehicle. To my surprise, the agent checking me in was Madeline. As soon as she approached the car, I recognized her and said, "I remember you." She smiled and replied, "I remember you, too." Then came the moment that truly impressed me. She looked at me and said my name. When I asked if she remembered it, she first jokingly guessed incorrectly and then immediately said, "Jonathan." After six days and countless customers, somehow she remembered me. In a world where so many customer interactions feel rushed and impersonal, that level of attentiveness stood out. It wasn't just impressive--it was genuine. The manager here was insisting that he was giving us an upgrade for free when he didn't realize I encountered this problem already in California. The have cars classified in one class of cars when they are not. Because a car looks big outside when a person sits inside they can tell the difference in size when you're over 6'. Your leg space tells the difference especially when it doesn't have a way to lower the seats. I never got the managers name but the date was 11-29-2025 @ 8:30pm. This is what Enterprises around the country are doing and something really has to be done about this. The man at the front desk (Jamar) was very helpful and telling us he knows we request certain vehicles because he is aware of our job and the distance we travel . Rented a VW Jetta from BOS, dropped off at PVD. Fueled up at a nearby Shell before returning. Jetta had good handling and great MPG (mixed use, ~43). Drop off was on the 5th floor. Inspection took less time than it took to get to the 5th floor. Elevator down, and took the walkway to the airport terminal. Overall, great experience, and would def use again. read more

Off the plane - have to walk almost a mile to the car rentals / moving escalators on floor. It's 36 degrees outside - no one is at their desks at counter... sign says go to 5th floor parking garage -OUTSIDE ! Stood in line for over 30 minutes COLD. On the bright side it prepared us for the freezing temps. I wanted to mention that the staff that was there were working very hard to help the large crowd of people. Apparently several employees called in sick. Some folks had a difficult time waiting outside and standing - we all got through it. read more

I received a free upgrade from a full-size, to a convertible mustang. Unfortunately, I wish I had the full-size because this mustang I received was in rough condition. My issues are as follows: An overdue oil change, a horrible alignment problem, the smell and presence of cannabis in the car, the vehicle was dirty and unsanitary, I found a few nasty tissue papers under and between the seats, and the tire tread was so bad that during the rainy days of my trip, this car was slipping and sliding around. The vehicle was not ready to be rented or properly cleaned and yet they gave me this POS anyway. Thank you enterprise, thank you for emailing me and asking me to respond if I had any issues and then not contacting me or following up at all, when I did indeed respond with concerns. Update #1: I emailed support after they reached out, because of this review. A couple of days passed and they finally responded and offered to refund two of my rental days and to submit a formal complaint on my behalf. I responded to them and as per usual, I still have yet to hear back and as for the refund, I still haven't received it. It has officially been over a week since anyone at enterprise has responded to me. Update #2: Oddly enough, a day later after my first update, Enterprise finally responded. However, they said that they can't refund my money, and instead they wanted to give me free rental days. Unfortunately, I do not plan or intend on using enterprise any time soon and told them absolutely not. I wait to hear back, again. Update #3: Enterprise said they will only give me two free rental days. Yet I have not received anything at all and have again not heard back from their support. If I could give this company 0 out of 5 stars, I would. I was previously a loyal Enterprise customer. That is no longer the case. I returned a vehicle to Enterprise and mistakenly forgot my purse in the car. Instead of being an upstanding company and notifying me of my error and my forgotten belongings, Enterprise passed the car along to their third party cleaning company. The employee of the third party company blatantly stole my wallet, AirPods, and $100 worth of gift cards. Thankfully they did leave my empty purse to retrieve. Despite filing a police report and dealing with multiple useless Enterprise employees, not one single thing was done to make this right for me. Not only am I out the cost of all the things I lost, I also had to replace my license and all of my cards. There was a blatant paper trail as the employee used cash app to send themself cash from my accounts. Enterprise and the third party company simply did not care. They completed a "formal" investigation, seemingly completed by moles who cannot see in the daylight, they came up empty. They identified the employee who cleaned the car, but did not do a single thing to rectify the situation. The employee continues to work for the company and I am out hundreds of dollars in items. I simply cannot fathom running a company and not doing a single thing to help rectify a situation in which my employees blatantly steal from customers and I continue to employ them. Excellent rental car experience. Plenty of folks at the counter on arrival after an easy walk from the terminal to wear the rental car garage is. Easy up a few escalators to the cars and quickly greeted by friendly staff who took us out to the vehicles and gave me a nice selection in my class of car. The car was well cleaned and as advertised. On return was nice to actually have someone there to meet me at the car even though it was an off time for the airport. Was actually able to close out the rental right then which is always appreciated. Definitely prefer Enterprise whenever they are available and this location did not disappoint. read more

Yes, I understand that any damage that wasn't previously reported but does now appear is the responsibility of the renter, but here's the story. I picked up this car two hours ago. It had not been washed and was covered in road salt. We looked it over and there was no damage. Two hours of driving from Worcester to Providence where I stopped only in one large parking lot that was nearly empty. I get to the PVD airport and the rental agent spots damage that in order to see it, she had to scrape the salt off the car. Is it possible that I damaged the car? Yes. Is it likely? No. We'll see what Enterprise corporate comes up with and I'll likely have a low star review for them too. read more

It's a walk. I usually rent from National (I know you read all those reviews) because of my Emerald Club status but I decided since Enterprise, Alamo, and National are all under one corporation to try them today. Ok my job made this arrangement but I can combine my points into one plan. First from the baggage claim to the rental garage is a trip. I believe the Honolulu Marathon is a shorter distance. Ok I'm severally exaggerating but it's a hike. Like from the first floor baggage claim to the third floor skywalk and then add a couple of really long moving walkways. I mean like football length moving walkway you will finally reach the rental counter. After I presented my credentials and confirmed my reservation, I was sent to the fifth floor for car picking. I greeted the Enterprise rep exiting the elevator and together we examined the car. I didn't sign any papers this whole time. Everything was done on an iPad. So when I get to the exit gate, I had zero paperwork. The gate attendant had to go online to verify I was authorized to get the car. This added a few extra mins to me leaving. Overall three stars. I know you can't fix the distance from the baggage carousel to the rental station but a couple of water station would be nice. JK. I recently flew into PVD airport in RI and had arranged a rental car with Thrifty. When I got to the car rental area there was 1 woman working for Hertz and a sign stated all Thrifty and Dollar check in here also. there were over 30 of us in line. We all started the online check-in while we were inching forward which,according to the signs, should allow you to skip the line and go directly to your car. We were all informed "there were no cars available" "please be patient". After an hour in line and now 90 minutes past my scheduled pick up time there were still no cars. I went online to Enterprise, made a reservation to pick up immediately and left the line to go 30 feet down the counter to the nicest man who set up my reservation so fast and helped me use the payment method I wanted to use. Alajandro (sp) went above and beyond. As I was leaving the garage in my Enterprise rental I checked in with Thrifty to cancel and my car still wasn't available. As soon as we got to the designated level, it took about 5 minutes and we were off on our vacation. I had gotten a deal for 25% off on a car a promotion Delta was having. When I got to Enterprise I was told the only car I coule drive was a truck. Of course I was hesitant because I never drove one before and this was my first time in Rhode Island so I wasn't familiar with the roads here. After hearing other options, I was told everything would be $15 to $25 extra on top of the $40 I was already paying for a day rental. So I just convinced myself to drive the truck which I ended up loving. It was a fast and easy process of renting and returning. If you plan on getting picked up for Uber/Lyft/Shuttle make sure to let the driver know you'll be waiting at 700 Jefferson so you don't have to walk half a mile to get to the main entrance of the airport. read more

I always rent from enterprise. First of all let's talk about how expensive it is to rent a car now. I had no choice because it was for my daughter doctorate degree and she wanted to surprise her dad when his ship pulled in port. Long story short all the running around we ran out of gas on the highway The car gave no warning that it was low and gas. Our fault we should have keep checking but it was so much excitement going on. It was scary the car just switch gears and said pull over. We got gas and went about our business. When I return the vehicle I told the person that took my car and he found it funny and laughed. Since I had a flight to catch and it was a long walk to the terminal with my bags I called as soon as I got home. Corporate had PVD gm call me. He said he was sorry and he will talk to the guy. He said he could offer me a free upgrade next time. He also reminded me of my responsibility about the gas. As I told him this as never happened to me. I asked a free upgrade won't do nothing for me. I get those emails all the time. I said why don't you take a day off if you want to do some thing nice he said all he good do was an upgrade for my next rental. I told him that's ok I guess they will no longer get my business not this location or any location. I had the car for 8 days and only used 490 miles. This happened on Saturday and I returned the car on Tuesday. So as you can see we did not do much driving. read more

I am a very regular Enterprise Rent a Car Plus member for many years but today for the first time, even after I checked in at the Kiosk and declined any additional coverages and came to pick up my rental car, the usually friendly customer service gentleman that assisted me in picking up my rental car..... QUIETLY TRIED TO 'SNEAK' IN AN ADDITIONAL INSURANCE CHARGE for me to sign... He kept saying do you want the "basic coverage" which sounds to me like I just want what I originally chose and signed at the kiosk check in.... It's actually a play on words.....I'm surprised I caught it as a weary traveller! I don't think anybody minds how the Customer Agents try to upgrade you at an extra cost but NEVER sneak additional costs that is something I would never expect from Enterprise Rent A Car! This very well maybe an isolated incident with Enterprise Rent A Car... If an Enterprise official is reading this please address this as Enterprise Rent A Car for the most part has an amazing reputation which you all have worked very hard for and would not want to be tarnished in anyway! Don't pay for gas ahead for a full tank because even you return it with just a little gas from when you initially picked it up they still charge you for a full tank. Even though they stated you would only get charges for the difference. Which means I shouldn't have gotten charged for the full tank. They are liars and thieves!!! read more

Rental had roaches in it, enterprise customer service told me to have vehicle towed in and they would give me another rental. Waited in line behind 10 people at counter to be told, First helped by a gentleman man that found my rental in computer, told I had to talk to manger Raven who said we have no record of your past rental being towed in and we do not have any vehicle for you and what they told you at customer service was wrong and she would not call them, This is a sunday, I needed the rental because my car was involved in a hit and run, she was so rude and would not listen to me. Now I have no vehicle for work on Monday morning. I have never been treated like that at at rental agency. Someone like that should not work with the public no compassion. read more

This location really needs to get it together....first of all I am renting a car and I work in Boston so it's unfortunately the only location available. The car I was given from another location came with low tire pressure and awful the need for an oil change. When calling the girl on Monday at this location and told her about these issues she said I would fine to drive on the low tire also, when I told her it was a safety issue her response was "ok no problem" also she informed me that the car isn't due for an oil change until 28,000 miles when the car was already at 30,000 miles when I got it. So I brought the car back Wednesday 12/7 the first car they gave me reeked of cigarette smoke and the second smells like a used porta potty. I went out and bought spray and a air freshener for the car, but fearful someone pissed in the seat I'm sitting in. Therefore I am taking my services elsewhere. read more

On 20 October 2022, we arrived to pick up our mid-sized car after a one day flight delay in Germany. We arrived in Providence, RI airport to pick up our rental. We were tired, but had modified our reservation for the missed pick up day and the rental was ready to go. So we had a three day rental instead of a four day rental. The original price estimate of $386.45 ended up as $509.05. We filled the gas tank and put on only 160 miles. UPDATE: After sending these comments to customercare@enterprise.com, I received several communications and an offer to refund $100 of the $120 paid for the "additional driver" mentioned here. Since the refund was 83% of my total and I paid a higher daily rate than when I booked this on June 1st, I changed my rating from 1 up to 4 stars. I hope the company will inform renters of their "under 25" caveats in the future. Also, added costs should not be a hidden surprise, otherwise it is like doing business with the airlines. However, the Enterprise desk also works for two other rental car companies so the line was long with only one person at the desk. When we finally got to the front, she asked if we wanted to add my daughter to the rental, and I, without asking further, said "why not?" I'll tell you why not! The added cost was $120 on a three day rental. OMG, what a shock when we dropped the car at the airport in Hartford, CT. My daughter turned 25 in one week from that point. Yet, we were charged $75 for a "young driver" and another $45 for an added driver. None of this was disclosed at that pick up point by the staff person who asked the question. The original rental agreement was set up on June 1st for this October rental. After discussing with Enterprise after the fact, I was told that it was in the "fine Print" but the original booking showed nothing of the sort!! I booked my reservation for a four day rental through Allegiant airlines. Because of Hurricane Dorian I had to leave my residence and start my trip two days early. I called the number for this location and was on hold for a very long time. After over 15 minutes someone picked up who seemed to be in a call center. I gave them my confirmation number and they said they added two days onto the front of my reservation. I asked over the phone how much extra it would be. The man on the other end said it would be $25 a day extra which was alot more than the airline rate but I was ok with it. When I arrived in PVD the person behind the counter said he didn't have the updated reservation and he would have to enter it there at the counter. After a while he asked for my I.D. and Credit Card. I gave it to him thinking I was only going to be charged $50 extra dollars. He actually charged me $228. Keep in mind I was returning the car to this same location and I had already pre-paid for four of my rental days. My original rental reservation was around $100 cheaper than these two days he added. He tried to explain it away by saying airports have extra fees and that's why it's so expensive. I rent cars from airports all the time and I've certainly never paid anywhere near this much to return it to the same location. Well over $330 when all was said and done. I was taken advantage of and ripped off by this company and this young man plain and simple. To make matters worse I had reserved the mid-size sedan (Hyundai elantra or simular) with hopes of getting an elantra. They didn't have any elantra's and they didn't have any mid-sized cars. I got an accent which I believe is a compact class car from the Alamo (sister company) instead at no discount. The car was not washed well and had water spots all over it probably from discount car wash liquid. After seven days my card was automatically charged for the tolls I went over. I agree I have to pay the tolls but there was no notice, invoice, or separate bill explaining the charge or asking me to authorize the payment. I've had much much better experiences with Hertz and will not be using enterprise after this experience. I can't speak to the Hertz in PVD but the one in SAV is excellent. If I was looking to rent a car from an airport I'd go with Hertz. read more

Stay away from this one! I rented a car at Enterprise PVD, and noted to the girl that there were scratches on the car and she said she marked them down. When I returned the car and the attendant saw the scratches and showed me the sheet where the girl supposedly marked the scratches and it was blank. A week later I get a letter saying I have to pay. I was dropped off here to pick up a car, and was in and out in a flash with my car, which is a good thing as it's damn cold in Providence in December. Dropping off my car was just as quick. This Enterprise was pretty good. I had to rent a car for a couple of days because my car was in the shop. They seemed surprised when I said I was local, but I picked it just in case I needed to be on a bus line if I could not get a ride when I dropped the car off. The prices are good, just around $152 for 4 days, and that included an extra day fee. I was going to just continue renting from them, but I called to extend my car yet another day and the phone rang....and rang...and rang. So I switched to Budget. Which, the economy car for Budget is way better than Enterprise. The economy car for Enterprise is an Aveo. It has not power windows or locks. The economy car for Budget is a Fiesta. The Fiesta was a much better car because it had power windows, power locks, blue tooth for your phone, and Sirius radio. It was literally only a couple of dollars more. read more

From what I understand, all rental vehicles for PVD are housed in the Interlink facility, at the address on this Yelp page. The Dewey Avenue Enterprise no longer exists, at least to my knowledge. Anyways, this was a great car rental experience from start to finish. The walk from terminal to rental lobby is 3-4 minutes TOPS when using the moving walkway. Anyone that has ever flown out of Dulles knows that the walk from the Main Terminal to Terminal B is much, much longer, plus they don't have moving walkways the whole way. Anyways, after giving the friendly agent at the counter my driver's license and credit card, I took the elevator to level 5 of the garage, where a friendly agent was waiting for me. She did push the insurance, perhaps a little too hard. But she was still very friendly. The rental ended up costing exactly what my online rate quoted, which was nice. I rented an intermediate car and got a 2012 Chevy Impala with leather seats, an AUX port and built in bluetooth, and seat warmers. The interior was nice, but beyond that it becomes clear to me why American cars are failing. Anyways, when it came down to it, the price was right, the people were friendly, and the car did what it was supposed to. I look forward to renting from Enterprise in the future. read more

I am a National executive Elite member however I needed an SUV -so I rented with Enterprise (same company) The res was set up incorrectly at the Cranston location however BRandon did not do anything to accommodate or make it right, he does not have a good understanding of servicing the client! We told him that our tire is losing pressure he clearly stated that sorry I can't do anything and doesn't wanna switch us to another location.
