First time getting my hair dyed here and I'm really disappointed :( I told my stylist Lisa from the start I wanted white and she dyed it blonde. Thankfully she dyed it again to the right color but after working on my hair for 4 hours and 5 attempts of dying she still couldn't fix my roots. BE WARNED....there should be a ZERO star! My 17 year old daughter had light ends and natural dark root (see pics). Although I had been before and had a poor experience, I did have it corrected by Nicole so I decided to book a full head of highlights for my daughter with her. She was spending her Christmas gift money given from family and friends. We arrived at 3:30. With a dozen photos CLEAR of what she wanted. We discussed clearly what was going to be done. FULL head of highlights but keep the root dark. It's called a smudge root. Simple. Only the bottom third of her hair has previous lightened ends so she had plenty uncompromised hair to be lightened. I felt comfortable that she knew exactly what we discussed so I left my daughter there while I went next door to shop. She texted me when she was almost done. When I walked into the salon, all I saw was my daughters hair damp and looking nearly exactly how I left her! So much untouched natural hair and you couldn't even tell she had lightened up! The top was STREAKY and hideous. She was so upset and wished we hadn't done it. I asked them what on earth happened and they told me "they didn't want to touch her compromised hair". They didn't! They left sooo much dark hair it was ridiculous! Not to mention the terrible mistakes throughout! The manager said " I don't know what you expect us to do. We don't have time to fix it. You can come back another time". "You said you didn't want the blonde on her scalp" Yes! but it was more than 6 inches away from it ...not a shadow! Untouched! The top was super bad and the tone was totally different than the ends. They did a rehighlight JUST on the top over her part but it was still AWFUL. I SHOULD have walked out. The manager was so rude and uncaring. Instead she took my daughters $175 of christmas gift cards and left her with hideous hair! She said " you can wait a couple weeks and come back if you want" My daughter didn't want them touching her hair again nor did I. I called the salon the next morning to talk to the owner Amy but the same nasty receptionist/manager told me she was on vacation but that "she is aware of the situation". I asked her why she was aware if they thought there was nothing wrong with her hair? I also asked her to have Amy call me. She NEVER called. I called again the next week...this time they let my call ring and not pick up! I tried half of the day! I had to call from another phone only to be told again " she isn't here". I told her I wanted a full refund so I can take her somewhere else to FIX it. I offered to come in peacefully and just pick up the cash in an envelope so not to make a scene for other customers. NOPE. AMY REFUSED to return my call of even hear what I had to say. She NOT ONCE cared about my daughters SATISFACTION at all. INSTEAD, she mailed me a letter (attached) basically saying WE are the problem, not her poor staff and bad hair stylist. Unapologetic. Her profile says she "PRIDES HERSELF IN ENSURING COMPLETE CUSTOMER SATISFACTION". Her letter to me says otherwise! My good friend who owns her own salon in Buffalo said it's disgusting how we were treated and the quality of color is so poor. Well it's obvious in the photos! I wouldn't let them touch it again! I want all of my daughters gift card money back! $175. They expect that I get this letter and just give up. Nope. Worst customer service EVER. I will post this wherever I can until the owner does the RIGHT THING and refunds my poor daughter her money. Taking advantage of a 17 year old is disgusting. They shouldn't have even taken her money since what she wanted and what they did was SO FAR OFF it's not funny. Your customers are your walking business card. WHY on earth would you let anyone walk out of your salon miserable and with BAD hair? NOT ONCE did they apologize. Nor did they say they couldn't do what we asked. They could!...bring the light up to the root in a double foil and smudge the root. WHy are you charging $175 for half done hair? All I asked for was a refund so I can take her elsewhere to fix it. I went to Entourage for a gel manicure. Since I never had one done before I wasn't too shocked at the price, from my research was normal. The basic manicure part wasn't what I anticipated. The young lady who did my nails didn't soak my hands or put any moisturizer on them. She filed my nails and then began to push my dried cuticles back. No oil or moisturizer to soften them. Then they were just left there... then the paint and the light. When my nails were done being painted she moisturizer my hands and literally brushed a warm towel over my hands. The gels have began to chip a week later and I was guaranteed two weeks- bummer. During my conversation with the young lady doing my nails, she told me she was a student- not licensed. I understand that everyone has to start somewhere and I think it's great she was able to get experience doing my nails, but for the owner to not make her customers aware and then charge them like they are getting a licensed professional really disgusts me. I feel like it's dishonest and sneaky. I don't think I should've paid $40 just to have my nails filed and painted. The fact that the salon runs dishonest practices like that I will never return based on principal. Nothing worse than feeling like you were ripped off. read more

There customer service is Absolutely terrible talked to Amy Murphy on the phone and just awful customer service I will never ever step foot in this place!!!! Purchased a Groupon that won't be accepted and based on other horror stories I have see of this place I have to say the 75$ I lost is frustrating and plain wrong, but to not need to deal with AWFUL customer service while I relax and not risk other horror stories for the sake of my hair I will accept this as a sign. I have read the other reviews about Entourage and must say I am quite surprised. My husband and I have been going there for quite awhile and have never had a problem. The staff is pleasant and our stylist is just the best! Zoey is both highly trained and a wonderful person. She listens to my thoughts before she begins and I am never disappointed! I have been there when it is busy and when it is quiet and I have NEVER seen anyone treat customers with disrespect. I have long, thick hair that is NOT easy to manage and I am never unhappy with my results. There will always be busy times (the start of the school year, holidays, etc.) and you need to plan accordingly. If someone has questions about fees, speak to the manager when making the appointment, don't wait until you are sitting in the chair to discuss to try and play on someone's emotions. Anytime you purchase a Groupon, make sure you read the fine print. If you have questions - call first. Stylists often get paid based on the total number of cuts so to expect someone to do a ton of Groupons/deals in a short period of time isn't fair to them. As someone who had two beauticians in my family, I can tell you first-hand they aren't bringing home a boatload of cash. They do it because they have a passion and talent for making people look good. I visited this salon because they put a coupon in my mailbox and I'm new to the area. My haircut is uneven and my stylist was awkward to talk to. My eyebrows are totally messed up. Completely different shapes, neither of which follow my natural shape. One is WAY thinner than my natural brow. Wax was left on the skin for like 30 seconds before a strip making it really painful. Waxing was a really bad experience. The haircut was fine except for aforementioned issues but the whole place felt very sales-y with displays everywhere. A lot of stylists were out of fashion/had mega 08 vibes. Would consider giving them a chance again if I was able to get a higher level stylist, as mine was inexperienced (her own words). I am really surprised at the reviews for this salon. I've never had a negative experience there and my first experience with was through Groupon. The terms were clear and I had no issues with it. It's really frustrating that people reduce ratings for their own negligence. You are responsible for understanding the terms of purchase IMO. That's like reducing a rating on Amazon because the box was dented. The salon is bright and clean. There is a wide variety of staff, each has their own specialty, but are all highly qualified. The owner, Amy Murphy, is visible and available to clients. I know that she invests in their education as well which is really important. I've had hair cuts, balayage, root touch ups, and my son's (toddler) hair cut at the salon. I absolutely love Dani - she has a wonderful way about her and she gave me probably one of the best cuts I've ever had. It's important to use your stylists as a resource and work together to achieve what you want. I recommend them to everyone I know. If you aren't sure who to schedule with ask Amy or one of the front desk people who is best for whatever it is you are looking for. I want to give this place 5 stars so badly for Courtney, she is wonderful and I will gladly follow her to any salon she chooses to work. But everybody else at this place sucks. My FIRST experience I had here was great because it was with Courtney. But every experience after that ... I don't know how they have any clients. My most recent experiences were on two separate days for different things. I got a wash, cut, blow dry one day and eyebrow waxed the next due to appoint availability, which was no problem at all. My stylist was kind but didn't do what I asked. Like at all. I asked her give me layers that would allow my curl pattern to show best. Well she didn't even come close to that and i only realized it when i went to wash my hair two days after my appointment and my hair wouldn't settle the right way. But even then, the day of my wash/dry/cut appointment, my hair was left pretty poofy at the ends (yikes). I get my hair is thick and not easy but she didn't bother to try to style it. It wasn't the worst thing that could happen but what happened the next day really sealed the deal for me. I went to get my eyebrows waxed, and the person helping me was kind enough I guess. She let me know she's had 20 years experience styling hair & waxing. It thought i was in good hands but she made them completely uneven. One is thinner than the other. PLUS one eyebrow is longer than the other. Completely uncentered too. Thank god for makeup. So if you got thick hair, look else where. If you want even eyebrows, probably better off going to Walmart next door. read more

I've been going here for years and each time is a gamble whether I'll be ecstatic or just... meh with my new look. This last time however I left in tears it was so bad. Leaving this review for a friend of mine. She came over after going to get her hair done for her birthday. She made an appointment a few days in advance and let them know exactly what she was looking for. Cut and color. Day of she tells me they would only cut her hair. Said they couldn't color it for multiple reasons, one being "they didn't have the time" and another being "they didn't have enough of the color she was looking for." How do you schedule an appointment and then day of claim to be unprepared? It's unprofessional. I understand it was a little short notice, but if you know what they are looking for, you should be able to communicate to your client exactly what they should expect before walking through the door. This could have been resolved with simple communication prior to your client walking in. If she would have known they wouldn't have the color or there wasn't enough time, she would have gone elsewhere. read more

Update as of August 9: I called earlier and booked a blow dry. I explained to the front desk that I have thick hair and I needed someone who knew how to handle it. But in all honesty my hair is manageable, you can put a comb through it. Anyhoo, when I get here the stylist assigned to me, Tatiana assigned to me told me she couldn't blow dry my hair without using a flat iron at the end of the blow dry. I said well let's see how it looks after the blow dry, I don't think I need a flat iron. This rude lady said "then I can't do it". I've managed a very luxurious and high end salon in NYC. My stylist would be fired for treating a client like that. I went to the front desk and Tatiana came behind me and was talking over me and cutting me off. I stayed quiet bc my blood was boiling. This is the worst experience ever! The front desk said she would get me another stylist.Tatiana discriminated against me because of my hair type. She never examined my hair or anything by sight said I need to do a flat iron. And then refused to do my hair. I feel discriminated against. This needs to be addressed. She walked away while I was talking. I'm still fuming!!! Courtney came and saved the day! She was very professional, courteous, and didn't have any demands on me. Great shampoo, gentle, and SKILLED!!! I give COURTNEY 5 STARS! Thank you Courtney for your professionalism and kindness. I'm not sure if I would return. I went once for a wax. The wax specialist was nice. I can't remember her name but she had a polish accent. Very sweet and professional. Her schedule doesn't always allow for me to go to her because of my own schedule so I've had to get waxing in Nail salons. If you are looking for a salon, you will not find it at Entourage. Entourage is like going to Fantastic Sams, or Great Clips. It's fine for a 12 year old boy, or a little girl, but if you are looking for a stylist who can create something beautiful and manageable out of your hair, she's not at Entourage. I won't say WHO did my hair, I will just say that based on all the other comments here, she came very highly recommended. My cut was terrible. I tried to explain how my hair needs to be cut so that it's manageable for me, but she ignored me and did her own thing, which clearly doesn't work for my hair type. I typically feel like one of the signs of a good stylist is someone who will listen to how you feel about your hair and try to make it something beautiful for you. This was not the case with the Entourage "stylist". I could have bought a box of color at a grocery store that would have been better than the color I got. It matches my natural color exactly, which is NEVER the look I'm going for. It's a weird mousey brown color that I specifically asked to stay far away from. When I left the "salon", I drove directly to another salon to have it fixed. The girl at the other salon I went to was very surprised when I told her I had just left another salon. I'm used to feeling clean and pretty when I leave the salon, not desperate to find a hat to hide the mess. Again, I'm sure Entourage is a fine place for a child's haircut, but if your looking for salon quality and a salon experience, find another place. The whole experience made me feel cheap and awkward. Kourtney is amazing and the reason I will return to this salon. I actually had a bad color experience with a different stylist who turned my hair blonde when I asked for brown. Once I contacted the salon, one of the managers (I wish I could remember her name) told me to come in and set me up with Kourtney. She treated me like a normal client (as apposed to someone who was complaining about how their hair turned out), she was so caring and really listened to what I wanted my hair to look like. Well we were walk ins My girls needed a haircut & also had many colored extensions put in. There hair came out beautiful but my 1 daughter extensions fell out on the 1st night!!!! 3 out of 7! I wasnt happy. I didn't even bother to call because I know they would say come back in & they would redo them. I didn't have the time to drive all the way over there. What makes me upset is if only 1 girl really knows how to do them, then let her do them! Also, a lady at the desk was very nice at the desk. I kept trying to get an appointment with a groupon for myself but they are very hard to get. The other lady at the desk was aweful! No smile & rude. She didn't want to help anyone!!! When we walked in we weren't even greeted by the rude one. We had to wait for someone else to help us! She could have at least greeted us and told us that someone would be right with us. So last but not least.....I wouldn't go back there & i sure wouldn't recommend it either. I have no idea why the reviews are so bad on here about this place?!?!? I have been going here for over 3 years. I previously went to Lighten-Up which is just a few miles down route 46 in Budd Lake. I left there because my hairdresser left. But she worked at both salons and since Entourage is closer to my house I figured I'd give them a try. Oh and my brother had a hair dresser recommendation from all his friends. I made my 1st appointment with Jay. Her real name is Jamie but there are 2 there so everyone calls her Jay. Be sure to specify! I was pleasantly surprised by my highlights and cut and have been seeing Jay loyally ever since. They are also very reasonable priced. For 1/2 foil and cut it's only $100. And there are always coupon on-line or in clipper magazines. The only downside to this place is the owner. Although thankfully she is not always there she is this scary old lady trying to be young and it's frightening. She treats her employees terribly. I overheard her once reprimand a stylist for not having enough lip stick on. I understand that they have to dress according to the salons standards but the girl looked fine. The owner wears way to much make-up so she's the last person I would want to talk to about appearances. read more

I've been very happy with the result at each service and believe the pricing is very comparable for the area. Good Local Salon with fair pricing! Staff: The friendliness and professionalism of the staff is consistent and overall great. Obviously there's different personalities but I found a great hairstylist who does wonders. Her name is Angela and she is amazing. She takes pride in her work and takes her job seriously -which a client can always appreciate. Past Experience: I have been coloring my hair for years...all colors of the rainbow. When I need breathing room I chop it all off by the ears and start over (love to try different looks and colors). I'm naturally very dark brunette and I have never liked blonde when I tried it at other salons. Angela did a great balayage job on my hair (mind you ...on hair that was colored red, dark brown, etc you name it ...and it still came out great and even toned). She also does an amazing job with reds....I have tried every red in the book. Recommendations: For someone who colors her hair so often, treating it and caring for it is important to me and I hope this salon considers offering Pureology soon! Currently I go to another salon JUST TO BUY the product. I drive 30 minutes just to purchase it at another salon lol....seriously, best product out there and so worth the price. I wish they would offer it here. The decor needs to be updated but that's just a personal preference. She has done my make up for many special events and I am never disappointed. If you need make up go with the airbrush as it is flawless and in 90 degree heat it stays perfect. Mitali also does my hair blow outs and all my threading which I love. Paul is the color go to guy and has so much knowledge about styling, color, color correction, sodo's, updo's, formal styles & more. Paul will spend the time to listen to the client and has a huge following and has been featured on the cover of Passion Hair Stylist Books you find in all salons. I had my hair burned and falling out at another establishment and Paul worked with me and my hair to give me normal hair again and a style that covers the areas that hair will never grow back again due to the burns. Eddye gives you one amazing blow out and styling to perfection that lasts a week. Jess is our daughter's stylist and she loves her cuts, blow outs, and her first eyebrows done by a professional. She makes the proper recommendations and my daughter thinks she is amazing. Men's hair all of the above do such a great job in the styling and I cannot say enough about their assistant Terez she can wash my hair without creating any vertigo which I am so thankful for. She takes her time, she gives me cotton for my ears, and she developed a system where I do not spin when I lay back to get my hair washed. Terez also checks on me often to make sure everything is ok and brings over a magazine and water. She is the best. Being a long time guest of the amazing stylists of Entourage I do not understand the poor 1 star reviews. This salon is top notch and I have been to Short Hills and all over the USA for hair and not once did I ever experience anything that displeased me or my family. 100% underestimated by most and give your stylist time to consult with what you are looking for and if Terez is there you will love her shampoo techniques and hot towels under your neck. Pampered each and every time. Do not be afraid to ask if you need anything they serve chilled bottled water, coffee, & tea. If you hate capes they have smocks, if you have a special need, they will go out of their way to make sure you have all your needs met. Myself and my 2 teenage twins had haircuts /color and highlights. Christy listened to my daughters request and fulfilled what they wanted in color and cut.
