I went to Entretapas on a Saturday around 7 pm with my family (a party of 7). I think the concept of picking your own wine before you sit is pretty cool (they have a selection of wines against the wall as you walk in). What's not cool is we were charged a cork fee for a bottle that we picked from the restaurant itself, I could understand if we had brought it from outside but this was not the case. We picked our wine and we sat down wondering if they'd be bringing bread while we looked over some tapas. They told us they can only bring bread if we order something. Do people normally come here and just sit at a table with wine? The struggle is real when a restaurant is stingy with their bread, y'all. We started off with the calamari and some bread (halleluyer). The calamari was actually pretty good, it had a really tasty seasoning to it. I just wasn't a fan of the white butter like sauce they bring with it. After we finished our wine, we ordered a pitcher of Sangria just to try something new. It was good but light on the alcohol and had a slight cinnamon twinge to it. As an entrée, we all decided to order different types of paella. We knew the wait was long so we just enjoyed the live entertainment. The dancer is the definition of dedicated, he was magnificent! It is loud though, which some people may not like but we did not mind at all. The servers were very attentive, my son had dropped a utensil and not even five seconds later a young gentleman was at our table with a new pair. They do serve a generous portion of paella that we all enjoyed. For dessert we ordered a chocolate cupcake with ice cream, it was okay. If I were ever to come to this restaurant again, I'd stick with the tapas for sure. Final verdict, three stars for the restaurant but five stars for some of the servers who were funny, friendly and helpful. read more

From the beginning, it was just a bit chaotic. We had reservations on a Sat evening for 2. Upon arrival, they couldn't decide where to sit us because another party showed up w/2 extra guests. Eventually, we got seated where we reserved. Staff was very friendly, but way slow to come around to the tables. Waited an unreasonably long time for drinks, and food took even longer. Waiter even suggested that we'd place an order for everything we wanted, because it would all take long to arrive to the table. However, I must say that the food and home Sangria were all very tasty. I ordered paella and some tapas. I am so disappointed. Black "paella" let's say it is 6 out of 10. I have to say they charged $3 for Alioli, I am so sorry to the cook and the owner but this is not alioli in any way. Texture or flavor wise. Maybe water with a garlic scent. By the way, I used Uber and it took around 50 minutes, maybe that did not help either. The calamares felt (old), the berenjena was ok and the fish was no bad.They have gazpacho on the menu but they were not able to do it today, and last but no least they put some random aceitunas for 3$. Very nice and small little cozy place. We went there for Saturday lunch and enjoyed ourselves with a pitcher of sangria on a sunny afternoon. We ordered eggplant with honey, some ham on bread and a seafood paella. I highly recommend the the eggplant. Paella was excellent as well. Went back here recently on a Friday night and was surprised with a live Flamenco band. It was a little noisy at first (almost impossible to have a conversation) but after 2 minutes, you are mesmerized by the skilled male dancer's feet stomping rhythm as they add to the guitar, drums, and singers. What a treat! We got here a little late (2 minutes before kitchen close), but the staff was extremely friendly and we still managed 2 pitchers of sangria, the garlic shrimp, and the Serrano plate for the table. Wednesday through Saturday at 8 pm and 10 pm this Spanish restaurant is the only place you want to be. It's an adventure not to be missed! The place fills up quickly after 8:00, and we were so happy to have arrived at 7:30. That's the hack: Get there early to get the best seats available, and get your paella ordered. (At least two people have to order paella.) I have only had delicious food and sangria there, so if you like Spanish cuisine you will be happy. The entire staff worked together fluidly and everything went so smoothly. At about 8 the first show began and it was like the entire atmosphere shifted. Wow! The entire evening was amazing and the performances were really inspired. The friend I went with is a flamenco student for many years and was just blown away by the artists. They have super friendly and helpful wait staff. For even only having an hour left till closing, they still had half their restaurant full. Excellent food and service. Ordered sangria, Ham and chorizo tabla and a parrillada. There was so much food we took most of the parrillada home. There was a flamenco show at 8:00. On my visit to this restaurant I was in the mood for paella so I decided to try this place in Weston . Location is very secluded but luckily I was familiar with the area . Today was my second time here 8/20/17 We made reservations for 7:30 for 7 and was told that the kitchen closes at 8:00 and to be sure to arrive on time if we wanted Paella and so we arrived 7:15 just in case and even told them that we wanted Paella for 4 . Everything worked out ok until we were ready for coffee and dessert which some of those that came wanted to try the Crema Catalan which is a fancy way of saying Spanish custard dessert or Creme brûlée . But by the time we were ready for dessert it was 8:30 and we didn't realize that this was a race of beat the kitchen clock . If a restaurant alllows you to make a reservation for 7:30 you would think that they would not cut off their services after you have been seated , what I'm getting at is that the told us that we couldn't get coffee or dessert cause the kitchen was closed . So why would you allow a 7:30 reservation without telling the customers that if we wanted coffee or dessert we would probably not beat the 8:00 kitchen closing . Who does that ? I realize that staff wants to go home but the place was empty , I would have thought that they would have been happy to have our business and glad that we were willing to spend more money on desserts. Completely unacceptable move by staff , I can't imagine the owner would have allowed that because I don't think the owner was there i would think . The waiter Ricky should have at least approached us at some point to let us know that if we wanted dessert to let him know so the kitchen could prepare it . Such a poor way of handling your customers when it's close to closing time and who closes a restaurant at 8 anyway . Oh yeah only places in West Broward . Pembroke Pines , Weston and Miramar are notorious for that . So my normally good review of this place just took a nose dive with this KITCHEN CLOSED THEREFORE NO MORE SERVICES FOR YOU MOVE . The food and service was good, the biggest issue I have is that they charged us $10.00 "cover charge" per person for the show, we were there at 7:30 pm and the show started at 8:30 -8-45 pm, they took too long to bring us the paella and we ended up eating while the show was starting. But this place was dead .. they are in Weston so not a lot of traffic so vs being thankful for the business they prepare in there responses to just say no .... We sat next to the kitchen while the rest of the restaurant was empty! They gave me the excuse about how it's against fire codes to have big tables in a certain area . Which is horse doodoo . It was a nice and refreshing experience. My friend and I came here for paella on a Friday night. To our surprise, live music and a dance show was provided. The paella was delicious but a bit pricey for two people, it also could feed another person too, four if you order other stuff. Most of their tapas options were sharing portions for groups. I wish they had smaller dishes for tapas. I really wanted to try their croquettes and papas but it'd would have been too much food for just two people. We ordered cheese, ham, and chorizo while we waiting for the paella (takes about 40 minutes). I recommend going with friends (group of 3-4), once you sit down, order the paella first for 2 people (about $45). Stay away! I was just there for lunch. They served me a flavorless watery seafood soup but more shockingly is when they served me a red snapper that was way undercooked. Salmonella territory. When I complained, Carlos the owner instead of providing me with a resolution and being apologetic, started arguing with me and gave me a condescending attitude. I just wanted to write a brief update. This place is not really your typical restaurant - it is tapas but the original idea was in order to keep it affordable you order at the window and it is then served to you. This ISN'T denoted anywhere so people get confused when they go in, sometimes you get table service and sometimes not - to complicate things most of the employees speak Spanish as their primary language so there is a language barrier and order mistakes if you don't speak Spanish. The kitchen gets backed up and yes, sometimes I have to wait for my food. It has been hit or miss for us - when they are "on" they are really on and it is tasty. When they are off - not so good. One of my favorite dishes is the lightly fried eggplant with the honey drizzled over it - it ranges from light, delicious angel wings to oversaturated oil soaked mess - more consistency and quality control is needed. The reason you see the variety of reviews from really good to really bad is because that tends to be how it is - one time it can be fantastic and the next time horrible - get it together guys as you do a great job when the stars align. read more

I'm Italian. Capisce? I'm all about my Prosciutto and my Risotto and as you may or may not know, we Italians and Spaniards...we usually don't get along. Come to think of it, most Europeans don't get along either, but that's besides the point. :) Must be a Futbol/Calcio thing. This place is not a place I would normally frequent but as it turns out it is now, and I'll tell you why. Honey Drizzled Eggplants, Bacon Wrapped Dates, Iberico Ham and their Paella (which by the way, takes a long time to prepare, even when in Spain). But, it's not just the food, it's the service. I prefer to come here during lunch hours but I must say that every time I've come, I've had a great experience and I've had a bunch of fun whenever there's live music and dancing at night. I recommend it, and while I won't switch my Prosciutto for Iberico and my Risotto for Paella any time soon, I'm happy to say that whenever I'm here, any differences we may have, melt away in my mind. I was working hard (sort of) when I started to get that lunchtime itch. I wasn't in the mood to do the usual and I really wanted to try someplace new, have some ethic food and not have to venture too far, so I spent a few minutes researching restaurants for lunch in the area. I found a spot close by called Entretapas. I got excited since it was Spanish food and even more so when I saw they had paella for lunch. The lady at the front was very sweet and helpful in me ordering my food. She made sure I had everything and talked to me a little bit about the restaurant. In addition to the restaurant, they also have a little market where you can purchase meats and cheeses. They also offer delivery on their website to those out of state. So although I wasn't dining in, I was assured that they are very hospitable. For the convenience of lunch diners, the paella is pre-made since it obviously takes a really long time to cook. They have two choices available for lunch. I went with the Paella Valenciana (mixed fish, seafood, chicken and vegetables). It was alright but needed a little bit more flavor so I added some of my Scotch bonnet hot sauce to bring out the flavor. It was so pretty but average tasting. For it to be considered their main dish it needed some work, but for the price, the portion was good and allowed me lunch for two days. On the menu, it is stated that the paella would come with a salad, but I was given the option of getting a soup. I choose the Lentil Soup and flavor wise it was much better than the paella itself. A surprise addition I wasn't expecting. Since I ordered take-out I didn't get to experience the complete essence of the restaurant and although the food wasn't to expectations, the staff was very nice and I have such a love for Spanish cuisine (and nothing else like it is in the area) that I would love to come back and try something else. read more
