The service was poor they took a long time to take order. Didn't find the host pleasant. The food was not tasty but edible if you are hungry. Had dinner at Moon Thai to celebrate a friend and it was a fantastic experience. Our server Five was so attentive and all over the details that make a dining experience pleasant. The environment was really nice and upscale looking and to my surprise the pricing wasn't outrageous which I was scared of after seeing how nicely it was decorated. I had a JB roll to start which was fresh, tasty and the perfect way to start my meal. I played it safe and got a Chicken Pad Thai. The Pad Thai was so good! Perfectly cooked and to my surprise the ability to add as much spice as I wanted. The spice levels were perfect and honestly a great meal. Tried Moon Thai at this location for the first time and was surprised. Once you step in it's a whole different world compared to the outside as the plaza is less to be desirable. Nicely decorated and love the artwork and architecture giving Moon Thai a nice cultural vibe. Can never go wrong with a Japanese and Thai spot as you get the best of both worlds. Fairly large location as plenty of seating all around. Love the bar area! Service was fast and friendly on a slower weekday night! Your typical Thai and Japanese dish offering was good and basic. We always try the Volcano Chicken at every Thai restaurant and this one was good. Not the best I've had but good. Not as crispy as we'd have liked but love the presentation. The waitress was nice, but she seemed very busy with other things (not her fault) but maybe if they had more help for the lunch hours, it would've been better. We were hesitant to go here after our last experience ordering from here. We were really in the mood to eat some where different. We decided to give them a second chance. I'm glad we did, rather food and service were very good. I started with some hot and sour soup. I ordered it hot and it was hot, and it was also very flavorful. Then I had spicy eggplant and chicken with vegetables. It came rice, I ordered sticky rice, but they brought me jasmine rice also. I really enjoyed what I had. My wife and daughter had a couple of rolls and they said they enjoyed them. I'm glad we gave this place a second chance. read more

Over the years i have come to his place as it was a very good restaurant to come to especially for dim sum. But ever since the pandemic this place has been trying to change and the changes as they changed the menu they got rid of many things including the dim sum menu and the food quality has diminished. They even started to make it seem as if this was a high class dinning experience but honestly its not. today the service hasn't been as good as usual as there was only one waiter working and they decided to bring all the food out at once and tried to upscale the experience but honestly made it look unappatizing and messy to eat. To add the extensive craft cocktail menu was a pleasant surprise, my wife really enjoyed the smoked pineapple margarita. In terms of the overall dining experience, I found the restaurant to be welcoming and cozy, with warm lighting, modern decor, and attentive staff. The menu offers a great selection of both Thai and Japanese dishes, so there's definitely something for everyone. One of my personal favourites is the soup dumplings. I would highly recommend trying their Sashimi or Nigiri dishes, which are also raw fish sushi dishes, if you haven't already. I've been coming to this restaurant for over 20 years and have always appreciated the food and service -- until now. During my recent visit, I was shocked by how I was treated. The new person at the front desk was very rude, dismissive, and completely unprofessional. No greeting, no help -- just cold attitude like I was bothering them by being there. I brought this up with the manager, Jack, hoping for some accountability, but he offered no apology. Instead, he told me he couldn't even give me the staff member's name because it's "confidential." That's unacceptable. After two decades of loyal visits, this was truly disappointing. It's sad to see the customer service fall this far. This is not how you treat loyal customers. read more

We've been here twice and the food has been great. My boyfriend tried the Curried Lamb twice and he devoured it. The rice was fresh, the dish was filled with vegetables (which he doesn't like, but it looked delicious to me) I tried the Vegetable Pad Thai twice and it was very tasty & a medium sized portion that filled me up. And I ate every single veggie The hostess was very friendly, it was a man who quickly sat us down. The service was quick and friendly but not obtrusive. The ambience is nice and there music but it's not too loud. The lighting is a little dark which is perfect for my taste. It wasn't packed but as our dinner went on the tables were pretty full by 6pm. SOOOO MANY OPTIONS! They bring you 2 full menus - one full Japanese menu and one full Thai menu as well as a small dim sum menu! We ordered several appetizers to share. They were all DELICIOUS. The chicken wings were not what I was expecting but they were fried nicely and paired with some of their table hot sauce it hit the spot. To cover some of my dim sum needs I got their Shrimp Shumai. So yummy! It had a dash of sweetness to it. I am a big fan of Vietnamese spring rolls and had to try theirs. Although a different variation, but still A+. This one added crab and no pork. Came here on Super bowl night with my date and the place was practically empty. The food and service were impeccable. There were only two other tables with people eating. My date ordered the shrimp sushi and shrimp dim sum, I ordered the veggie dim sum and the mixed veggie plate. All super tasty and fresh, I felt like I may have eaten too much but a good walk will help afterward. Can't wait to come back and try another veggie meal. Parking is easy. read more

We were crazing some Thai food for lunch and Moon Thai definitely hit the spot! The location is a little tough to spot as it's tucked into a plaza. Great ambiance as soon as you walk in. Loved the decor of the place and the bar setup was fully stocked. We ordered off the lunch menu and were started off with miso soup and salad. Both were good, the peanut sauce on the salad was amazing, very flavorful. The meals came out really quick. I ordered the massaman curry chicken and it was very good. Could really taste the flavor in the sauce. Not too heavy which I like. The presentation with the bowls and how they separated the rice from meal to keep it from getting soggy. My coworkers all enjoyed their meals as well. The portions on some of the meals were pretty small. I ended up asking for more rice for us because there wasn't enough on the plate. Also the service was a little slow but that could have been because of how busy they were. I personally enjoy some of their Thai food and can attest to their panang curry, pad thai, and Tom yum goong to be pretty legit. The pad thai from the gables location is way better in my opinion-- I don't know why, but for some reason the other locations just don't hit the spot. Their sushi is always fresh so we do get it quite often. I'd say it's pretty decent food overall and they usually get the take out orders right-- which is a plus these days. read more

Me and my family always have a great experience at Moon Thai. We've patronized this establishment for MANY years. On this occasion we went with another family. Total of 4 adults and 3 children. We ordered the You & Me Boat for 2 which was plenty for 4 adults. In addition it comes with a choice of 2 soup and salad. For the kids, we ordered 2 katsu for the two toddlers. Which could feed an army, the portion was huge (no complaints!) comes with a side of rice as well. We all left full with happy bellies.
