Paella de mariscos was great and paella campera was good in taste too. The carne can be better but the rice was delicious. The volcano chocolate I would not recommend. It hit the sweet spot but lacked that cold vanilla ice cream touch. Customer service needs to be improved. When they did come over they were nice and helped with what we needed but they did not visit the table as much and we ended up waiting a long time for refills & the bill despite there being just a handful of people. Communication between staff could be better and i'm sure that will improve customer service! read more

In all honesty the food here is not seasoned at all and comes in extremely small portions. I do have to admit the service here was splendid and clearly was one of the best I have had in a while. Odd enough the area here looks amazing and in the girls room there is a touchscreen mirror. This is a nice place, The food is good, the service is better than fair and though expensive it is a pleasant place to sit. The internet gives false information about this but the service is good, the food is heavy but good and the music is perhaps good perhaps not. We don't know, as we made our booking to hear the music, but finished well before the band had set up. My husband & I unexpectedly wandered into this gem to wonderful, live music, incredible family-friendly dining and our Piero was a star. The ceviche was HUGE! The presentation was magazine worthy. The chef, Orlando, kindly came up to our table and asked if the food the food was good and if we were satisfied with everything. If you are a fan of Paella, and other Spanish delicacies, this is a great place to dine. While recently searching for authentic Spanish food, I was joyfully excited to find this restaurant close to home in Weston. I called to reserve a table for their Saturday night show that had been recommended by a friend. I loved that from the get-go, the gentleman who answered the phone was Spaniard. I soon got in the zone for our special Flamenco night. Being thorough, he told me what to expect for an "intimate" birthday celebration. He was also equally candid in sharing that the floor fills quickly for dinner through the weekend, that they don't take reservations on "show" days, and that they could not seat large parties in front of the stage. Therefore, parties of more than five must arrive at 7:00 p.m. to secure their table(s). The night of, we found our food to be authentic and what we were desiring. Our party went mainly for tapas that we could all share as the loving, close family that we are---no breaking of dishes for us! We ordered Serrano ham, Manchego cheese, and Spanish chorizo, Delicias de Elche (dates stuffed with blue cheese, wrapped in bacon and deep-fried in oil), Gambas al Jerez (shrimp, olive oil and sherry), Bacalao (cod) and Serrano Ham croquettes, and Berenjenas a la Miel (thinly-sliced fried eggplant w/honey). Then we ordered Paella Valenciana (meat and seafood prepared with shrimp, squid, fresh mussels, clams, fish, and chicken), along with Garbanzos con Chistorra (chickpeas in red Spanish sausage sautéed in olive oil; flambéed in white wine). Others in our party ordered the Huevos Rotos (eggs fried in garlic and vinegar, atop Spanish style potatoes) and 3-cheeseburger sliders from the "kids" menu. As far as beverages, they have a lot of choices: imported and local beer, bottled juices, sodas, coffee and coffee drinks, sangria, and your pick from a list of over 50 select wines. You can also bring your own (there is a $15 corkage fee)! Our server was delightful---so happy to have been assigned to this young man! The one thing we suggest a major improvement on is their desserts. We ordered different ones but ended up returning two---we just couldn't eat them---they tasted boxed or encased! Besides that, the venue celebrates their birthday patrons with complimentary Crema Catalana (variation on creme brulee) and a tall candle that mami loved! Food for thought: they allow cake to be brought in, with a minimal cutting & serving charge of $1 per person. In relation to the show---it was phenomenal! We would go back for that alone!! I am not sure how I have never been here before, so when a friend mentioned we go here for a girls night I was excited to try some place new. The ambiance is very nice and very clean. Our waiter came over and explained the menu, concept and the specials. I told him I was vegan and he made suggestions as well as showed me the "v" on the menu. We knew we wanted paella. For the paella a minimum of 2 must order the same one. We were 4 people. Thankfully one of my friends agreed to order the veggie paella. My other friends ordered the seafood paella. The paella is freshly made so it takes about 40 minutes. The veggie paella had chickpeas, zucchini, black olives, & roasted red and green peppers. It was very good and flavorful. It was cooked in a vegetable broth. The seafood paella was filled with clams, mussels, shrimp, calamari and fish. My friends said it was very tasty. We started with a mushroom & garlic dish. It had an optional ham, but we declined. It was amazing and had a lot of flavor. The table also ordered shrimp. They liked that a lot too. We ordered Spanish olives. Oh my! It was like 2 jars worth! So many! So tasty! To drink we had a pitcher of sangria. It was enough for 2 servings per person. It was tasty, but I would have liked some fruit. For dessert we had the creme brûlée and chocolate volcano. The chocolate was not my favorite. The manager noticed we weren't eating it and asked if all was okay. I said it was too sweet and she said she would be taking it off the bill. Great customer service to notice we weren't eating it and offering a refund on it. We were pleasantly surprised. They had live music and a dancer. It was very good. A little too loud for the space, so if you're expecting a quiet dinner, go early and then stay for the show. They did not rush us to eat. The 2nd set added 2 more performers. One of which blocked the path to the restrooms. You'll have to wait until they are in between songs to come and go to the restrooms. Great ambiance and live music. We visited Friday 12/1/2023 and it was the grand reopening under new owner - Sr. Ceviche. Now they are 50/50 Spanish and Peruvian. We ordered garbanzos with chistorrias, very disappointed. There were only 6 small pieces of chorizo, the whole dish tasted like it came out of a can, and this appetizer is $18 now. Then we ordered the seafood paella for two, but added the black squid ink , again another disappointment. There was barely any seafood, again probably 4-5 shrimps and 6 miniature (the smallest ones you can think of) scallops, along with the calamary and mussels. We visited because of the good reviews. We stopped in to try the paella and some tapas. The server was very friendly and helpful. We arrived early for dinner so ambiance was quiet until they put some music on and a few people started coming in. The paella is NOT authentic: instead of using either Valencia or Bomba rice, they use converted rice (think Uncle Ben's)! Yes, you heard correctly! I confronted our server about this and she readily admitted that they use converted rice in their paella dishes. Besides that, the dish didn't have much flavor and lacked seasoning-a big disappointment considering the close to $50 charge for this entree. The Chistorras al Cava also disappointed as it was too salty and was more reminiscent of vienna sausage than "coming right from Spain"...and the Carpaccio Iberico was the tastiest item we had but not worth the $20 price tag. With wine, our bill was almost $120, not including the tip, so we were disappointed overall with our visit. On the bright side, they have live flamenco music on the weekends so we might go back for a drink (and possibly try the octopus tapas) and take in the music...I'll report back if we do. Overall, I would not recommend eating here but it might be a nice evening for some live music. They have screens on the walls showcasing "Pollos and Parillas by Sr. Ceviche" in Cooper City that looks better...think we'll try that soon. Stay tuned... read more

My family and I visited this restaurant with great expectations as it was recommended to us by some friends. However, we were greatly disappointed by the service and food quality. Let me start with the positives. The place is beautifully decorated, and has a nice ambience. First, We arrived at the restaurant and no one came to greet us at the door. We had to wait about five minutes before I decided to go to the bar and ask for assistance to be seated. Two, we had a reservation for 5 adults and we were seated in a table for four. Three, if you order a bottle of wine please be aware that the restaurant Will Charge you a service fee for serving the wine. Really? I am buying the wine from the restaurant!!! Four, we requested bread and they presented us with a minuscule bread basket, we asked for more bread and they brought us an even smaller portion. We ordered several appetizers, mussels, chistorras, and dates. The mussels had no flavor at all. For main dishes we had the Paella which was good and abundant, one person order the Callos which were not good at all. This restaurant has room for improvement with their food, but most of all it needs to work on customer service and quality control. The paella and service were top notch. The steak and grilled octopus had much to be desired. The octopus was like chewing a hard rubber band. The Calamari was tasty but chewy and hard. Again, the service was second to none. BUT, they charged a cover for the show which was not the advertised show. We go there for the flamenco on Saturday or similar shows on Friday. Last night they had a classical guitar and a spanish ballad singer. Although they were good you could see the audience was not there for that type of entertainment. Since it's been awhile since I ate in the restaurant, I can't really speak to the service now but I remember it being good and the atmosphere being really nice and cozy. The food is phenomenal! I love Spanish tapas and this place is legit. The Serrano ham, garlic shrimp, and fried eggplant with honey are my favorites and so amazing. Must try! Lunch time, drove all the way from Margate just for a "bocadillo de calamares" that I was craving for days. I saw on their photos one and on the menu. Once there a desolated place with only a couple eating I was greeted by a young men that the only thing he knew was his name. I ask if they serve a "bocadillo of calamari" and he did not knew. He told me to wait to the young lady with him that kept me waiting 14:32 minutes while she was on the phone taking a order. Yes, I counted the time. Once she finished I ask if they serve a Bocadillo of Calamari and she reply that it is not in the menu but I could be done, so I paid the order and waited another 15 minutes. When order was done, for my surprise I was given a calamari tapa appetizer!!!!!!! When I inquired where is the bocadillo, she refers this is it. I was heavily puzzled since I ordered a sandwich or bocadillo in Spanish in which she replied that they name that tapa appetizer a bocadillo. WTF!!!!!! Listen lady I am from Madrid, I was a chef and bocadillo=sandwich and vice versa. Tapa it is not a bocadillo. Due I was out of time I just took the order and left. Best fries ever. Forget the rest. Lentil soup , Luke warm lentil bathwater without any flavor. Not even the sausage could save it. I have reviewed this restaurant before and gave it very high ratings because it deserved it. It was basically a trip to Spain without leaving Weston. Unfortunately things have changed. I don't know if it's new management although it seems that way because I don't see the regular people, but this place has become very, very disappointing. The menu has changed and it might as well be a neighborhood deli but it's not Spanish. It is boring and has lost all of the Spanish spirit and soul it once had. This place is gross, called to do a pick up order, arrive 30 mins after they opened and their doors were still closed, a nice gentleman came to the door and let me in. Tables were still in top of one another and the lights were partially off which was odd. I picked up my sandwich and went on my merry way-although it was nearly $20. When I got home an opened my order I was shocked, cold fries that looked like school fries and not fresh and my sandwich had nearly no cheese and no meat- like one slice, additionally it tasted funny kind of like a cleaning product. I won't go back to this place, I'm trying to support small businesses during the pandemic but the quality was not there. Had the opportunity to eat on Saturday. Over all, the food was really good for exception of the chewy grilled octopus and flavorless grilled calamari. The "pescaditos" was fantastic along with the chickpeas and chorizo, cheese plate and iberico ham. The service could be a bit better especially when we were one of the first dinner parties that evening. The server was drawn away from taking our order to tend to a carry out order and took quite some time. But once we order, the food started flowing. Heed caution, this establishment does not take reservations on the Fridays and Saturdays so arrive early to avoid the wait. It fills up fairly quickly. I'd definitely recommend this place and would come back to enjoy a taste of Spain.
