I got a butterfly Matcha iced, large which a 20 oz cup but only that size for iced tea or French sodas. Shawn actually is the one that made my drink so sweet of him. Next went to their counter to stir in my drink. Please be courteous and throw your trash away "as the sign says"! Armand & Shawn, we're so polite, kind, caring, sweet, very helpful, genuine, knowledgeable, super down to earth. They both have this positive upbeat energy about themselves that really radiates! What really stood out was the patrons. I saw college students, construction workers, and people in suits all coming in here. Some greeted the staff, offering a clue that they were likely regulars. To me, that's a great sign of a solid establishment. If there are people from all walks of life coming in here regularly to get their breakfast fix, you've got to be doing something right.

I found Cake and Love, saw the reviews and thought "why not?" I love supporting local small businesses. I knew the designs weren't up to par compared to other places, however I read that the cakes tasted really good. My friend Marc ordered them and requested 4 cupcakes but the owner said she could only do a dozen. The design requested for the cupcakes was to write the name on 4 and the rest with birthday + Halloween designs. And he ordered four different flavors. She had a week to prepare and offered to drop them off. Not only was she an hour late, but she practically rushed off without giving us a chance to look at the cupcakes to check them. You can only imagine our disappointment when we opened the box. It looked absolutely terrible, rushed and as if a child decorated these. These cupcakes were for an adult. The taste was just ok too. The chocolate cakes were mushy, the red velvet were dry and the other two were 'eh.' It was too late to find something else so we sucked it up and used them to sing happy birthday anyway. Regardless if there was any mis-communication, this is not acceptable. And I feel that we deserve a refund.

And then there was the Velina cake... oh my goodness. A beautiful sponge layered with chocolate mousse and hazelnut mousse, all covered in a glossy dark chocolate glaze.
