I had an appointment with my regular nail technician at the salon, so I texted Matthew, the owner's son, the morning of my appointment to confirm it. Unfortunately, I didn't get a response. Around 10 AM, I decided to call the salon to confirm my appointment. I spoke with a male on the phone who informed me that my appointment was scheduled for 4:30 PM. I arrived at the salon around 4:20 PM and was told that my usual nail technician would be arriving in about 15 to 20 minutes. I told him that was fine and that I would go next door to get pizza while I waited. I gave my phone number to the owner's daughter so that she could call me once the nail technician arrived. After ordering my food and eating, I went to sit in my car around 5:20 PM. I decided to go back into the salon to check on the progress of my nail technician. However, no one acknowledged me. They were just talking to each other, saying that the nail technician wasn't coming in. I asked if I could reschedule, but no one responded. So, I decided to leave. I'm extremely disappointed because I look forward to treating myself every three weeks. It's my time to relax and get pampered. I've never had a bad experience at this salon before now. After leaving, I received a text message from Matthew, the owner's son, apologizing for wasting my time. He offered to make it right if I booked with him. I asked him when his next available appointment was, but I didn't receive a response. I followed up with a text message this morning to let him know how disappointed I was, but I still didn't get a response. This is out of the norm for him. I'm not saying that this salon is a horrible establishment because not everything has been unpleasant up until now. I'm just extremely disappointed. read more

Your experience at Envy Nail Spa will depend on the nail tech that you are with based on the reviews that I have read. I was a walk-in and they were able to fit me in for a pedicure. I thought that the pedicure that I picked for the price was good; however, I did not like the nail tech. My toe nails were not clipped the way that they needed to be and the polish looked okay. I also got a glass of white wine and that was ruined with all of the fruit flies swarming it. It is a nice salon and is convenient for me so I may book an appointment with a nail tech that is recommended if I choose to return. read more

Loyalty and longevity mean nothing to this business. They take appointments yet do not check with the service provider to see if they are on time. The receptionist doesn't bother and passes the buck. So no need to make an appointment. I have worked for several years with Shana. Two weeks ago I was on time and she was 15 minutes late. I had an appointment. No biggie. Yesterday I called for an appointment. Receptionist booked me at 4 with Shana. She didn't bother checking to see how busy Shana was. I arrived at 4. At 4:15, after waiting 15 minutes, Shana sent receptionist (refused to look me in the eye) to tell me it would be another 15 minutes. She kept her eyes down. She does a good job yet it is clear that being a regular is meaningless to her. Some people are "people first, money second." Envy is "money first, people second!" So if you don't mind waiting and being treated without the respect of at least talking with your long time customer about the 100% failure to honor any appointment, she's your girl. These nail places are a dime a dozen. Grateful they were during Covid as traffic was down. Now that they're hopping, they are overbooking and treating clients like a number. Came in for a pedicure and gel polish change on my hands. The "receptionist" asked me to pick out a color from the wall and I asked if they had matching sets - she said yes but also gave me a ring with all of the nail polish colors. I was confused but that's besides the point.. I picked out a color from the wall and let her know I was ready. She told me to look for the matching color on the ring of colors she handed me ( not sure what you call them) I guess my facial expression said it so she said do you want me to help you look for the color? Obviously yes. Why would you ask the customer to look for the matching color? Time for the pedicure.. it was ok. The nail tech skipped steps and shorten the massage time. I decided to change my pedicure to the deluxe so I can get the callus treatment and she did a poor job!!! Waste of extra $$ on this. I was watching the lady next to me and the lady that was doing my pedicure definitely didn't do her job. The color I chose was a little light so I asked for a third coat, she seemed irritated but o well. Paint job was ok but this was not a pedicure service. Now to the gel polish change on my hands. I asked for coffin shape, she rudely said no because my natural nails would break easier. I've had them before with no issues but I didn't want to go back and forth so I said ok fine, square. Shape and paint job was ok. When it was time to check out, I noticed she charged me $5 extra for gel polish removal and because I asked for a 3rd coat. I said I've never been to a salon that charged extra for these services. We exchanged some more words and she just cut me off and said it's fine, it's fine. $5 is not a lot of money but I didn't understand why she'd charge extra in this case. Allison and Hannah did a great job, but my visit went downhill though during the checkout process. There was an attempt to charge more than what was listed on the price list for the manicure and pedicure combo package. Also, I brought my own nail polish because I like 3 coats of polish. During the checkout process, I was told that I would be charged extra for this extra coat of polish next time, even if I bring my own polish. I have never had a salon attempt to charge for something like this. Also, I posted this same review on Google and received a rude response from the owner. Prospective customers: judge for yourself. It's clear that this business didn't see anything wrong with attempting to charge more that what was listed on their price list and trying to charge you for an extra coat of your own nail polish . I have lived in the Triangle area for 20 years and have been to many nail salons in our area and this is the first one that ever attempted to charge for an extra coat of my own nail polish. First and last time FOR SURE! Meat was cut off my toe causing it to bleed, took a random layer off my nail and she cut my toenails all so short I left before she could polish on. I refused to pay more for gel pedicure when my nails were cut so short, she didn't even communicate what she was doing. Still had to pay full price. read more

I have been to Envy nail spa five times now and every time I visit it is great. The nail salon's appearance is very nice. As you walk inside you will notice three chandeliers, granite countertops, and four flat screen televisions. The televisions each have their own speakers so you can hear one and watch the other across the room. There is always something interesting on the tv, the most recent time was hgtv. I usually get full service pedicure and manicure or full set. There are four options for the pedicure and the customer is offered a drink upon sitting. They offer wine, soft drinks, water or even a beer. Everything is always very clean. The tools are opened fresh from sterilized packages. The basin of the pedicure chair is covered with a plastic to guarantee that it is hygienic. Gloves are always used as well. The prices are very reasonable, as nail salons are a dime a dozen, I always find somewhere that I am comfortable and then they seem to become careless. I had one really good pedicure, and three bad gel manicures over the last few months. I usually only go here as a last resort, if my regular salon is too busy. The most recent visit was the worst. I paid $39 for cat eye lacquer, and it was all chipped within 5 days. Mostly because it was rushed and my nail tips weren't filed. I left with ragged nail tips that chipped and snagged. Won't be back. They may be a few bucks cheaper, but it's not worth your time and money if they do a sh*t job. read more

I read some negative reviews about this place so I was skeptical to go here. But I had a great experience. They got me right in for a pedicure. The lady was very nice. My pedicure took an hour and 15 but for me that's fine. They spent time rubbing my legs which I love. They did a free paradigm wax on my feet which I never had before and that was awesome feeling. They did a good job scrubbing my feet and removing my nasty rough dry skin. Lotion and oils used smelled so good. They had a huge selection of nail polish colors. First, I have to have an insanely terrible experience to give a 1 star review, in this instance I'd give 0. It only took roughly 5 minutes for me to get seated, no time at all. 1 hour and 40 minutes after being seated my SNS natural nails with one color no rhinestones, no extra work required were completed - the amount of time this took was insanely ridiculous. My nail tech might have had an off day, let's call it a terrible day. That's fine I understand that life happens, please excuse yourself for another tech to work. My hands and nails were either scrapped to the point of bleeding, after which she wrapped it in an alcohol swab - you can imagine how good that felt, drilled down so much to the point of extreme heat hurting my nails or over filing to the point the side of my thumb felt like I had been cut 6 - SIX times. Crazy to count right? One time, I get it you messed up, twice okay I'm getting annoyed, three times - what is going on, four times she asks are you okay, ummm yes I'm okay - ARE YOU OKAY, five times my eyes roll, six times Im not even phased, tell her I'm fine and just want to get out of the chair and leave. This was an absolutely terrible experience, the WORST I've ever had. She didn't even clean under my nails, thanks be to GOD for this because she would have probably made me bleed even more. For someone to be working so below standards for an establishment I would NOT recommend this business to anyone!! Save your time and drive elsewhere. read more

First, the nail techs were speaking amongst themselves in their native tongue, not even making an effort to have a conversation with my daughter or myself who were both getting our nails manicured Then, the polish was not dry and it was coming off when washing my hands, no hand massage (which I paid extra for) the same for my daughter. Today was my first and last experience at this nail salon. I was impressed by the look of the establishment but that was short lived. My boyfriend, sister and myself were called for 3 pedicures. Our pedicures got started right away except for my boyfriends. After waiting 30 minutes with his feet in now cold water, I asked when someone was going to start his pedicure and that we would like to leave at the same time. The manager told me that there were no female technicians, I asked why can't a male do them? She didn't have a response and said the next female technician would be another 15 minutes. Upset, as he should be because there was zero communication, he got up and waited for me. After an hour of waiting they asked if he was ready for his pedicure. A WHOLE HOUR!!!! I started my manicure which was TERRIBLE. My technician did none of what was listed (massage, hot towel treatment, didn't even give me lotion). He painted my nails which you could see where he didn't paint the second coat over. I asked to speak with the manager. She apologized for the inconvenience and took away my bill. However, did not offer to redo my nails the right way. I will find another place to do my nails over and where my boyfriend will actually get provided with service. Not worth the time. read more
