I was desperate to get my hair colored last Friday afternoon before I went to Morongo Casino for the weekend. My gray was showing, my hair was dry, and my color was uneven and faded. I looked lousy, and I had procrastinated making an appointment anywhere. Mahvash and her partner saved me. They were able to take me as a walk-in at 5:30pm on a Friday evening. It's the first time I've ever had two people color my hair at once, and these two ladies apparently have been working together for years. They did a beautiful copper color on me that was identical to my natural color. They gave me coffee and delicious ceviche! They offered me cake! They did a great wash, condition, and blow dry. They were warm and kind. The entire salon was warm and kind. My hair looks and feels SO much better! Thank you so much, Envy Salon! I'll be back soon to get a cut. read more

I have an appointment scheduled I am txting to see if I can reschedule . due to being sick and move my deposit which turns out I can't. I understand so I said due to everything going on can we accommodate she replied very rude with capitals so I took that as her yelling! I was VERY upset and I called her was the worst thing she's trying to explain the $30 and proceeded to be rude. it's Over a $30 deposit she lost a customer & was very rude unprofessional and now a horrible review. I have other appointments I booked that had to be moved with a deposit and everyone was delightful to work with. Don't waste your time here she's going to make it about her! Unfortunately I'm extremely disappointed with this salon's costumer service. I've been going on and off to this salon for about 5 years. I was gifted a generous gift card a few years ago, and just inquired today about the amount on the card at the salon and they informed me that their new system can no longer accept these gift cards and there is nothing they can do! I was shocked as no notice went out to their customers or put on their website, and there was no expiration date on the gift card. This young lady listens to her clients and most notably knows what works best for you. I have never left wanting more or less it has always been just the right amount. Above all the friendly staff at Envy Salon make you feel at ease with a recent face-lift to the establishment this beautiful salon & spa makes me want to spend hours there to unwind from my daily stresses. I've been using Helen for about a year now exclusively. I left a Beverly Hills Salon where my hair was looking good enough but I was paying exorbitant amounts of money for snotty attitude (not my hairdresser but everyone else there) and in order to get my color it was base and then highlights. I'd been to Envy as part of some sort of influencer outreach and got a blow dry from Helen. I don't pay for blowouts as there's nothing that DryBar can do for me that I can't do for myself thank-you-very-much and I won't burn my ends. Anyhow, Helen's blow outs are fast and perfect. Not good, but perfect, and I'm someone who really does know how to tend to their own hair. When I asked her about my color she thought she could do it for me in a single process. I didn't believe her. The first time she did my roots I was happy, the second time it was better. By the fourth time she did my color I couldn't believe I'd ever sat in the chair for HOURS with those completely unnecessary foils. All but the last two inches of my hair is Helen's work. I really appreciate that I'm in and out of there quickly. Everyone is nice too. It's a really lovely environment but at the end of the day it's about how your hair looks and I think she does a great job. She also cuts my hair. read more

A couple years ago a friend referred me to Todd W. for a haircut and style, and I haven't been back to my old hairstylist since. I have super thick hair and he does a great job styling it. He's also friendly and funny. I found out several of my work colleagues also see Todd. He cuts and colors their hair, and they always look good. He charges reasonable prices too! The salon itself is clean and bright. They have mini massage chairs for when you are getting your hair washed and that's nice. Finding parking can be a bit of a pain when the streets are busy although I think they have valet. I end up driving around to find metered parking though. read more

I have been coming here for about 6 years now! Robin is wonderful and the nicest woman I've ever met. She makes my hair soft and full of volume each time I see her and I've noticed my hair becoming softer by using her products regularly. I absolutely adore coming to see Robin and try to book appointments with her whenever I have the chance. Adelina is the only person on earth who I trust with my eyebrows! She spends a long time brushing, shaping, trimming, plucking and waxing to get them just right every time. I love to keep my brows thick, and instead of waxing all of my hair away, Adelina works with their natural shape and just cleans them up. This is an awesome salon that I would recommend to anybody. Although I got a really good haircut and blowout here, I'm not happy with the way the salon communicated to me. I called ahead of time to get a price for a haircut and blowout and was told it would be $65. Not that it "started" at $65. I came in as a first time customer and used the $30 off check in offer. Got the haircut and blowout and they flat ironed. Then I was quoted $80 for the service and that it would be $50 with the check in offer. No one told me that they would charge extra for flat ironing, and then I was also expected to tip two stylists since one went overtime and had to have another step in to finish the blow dry. Also, they don't let you tip on your card. You have to go to the ATM in the back of the salon and it charges you $2.99 to take out cash. No one communicated that to me when I asked on the phone prior to my appointment. Nice haircut, good blow dry, but the whole thing left me frustrated. I won't be coming back. read more

A little pricey for me, but after my bad experiences at the last 3 salons I went to (each at varying prices), I guess there is no such thing as a cheap and GOOD haircut for women. $60 for a trim and blow dry - but it was a REALLY good blow dry. My hair was a little uneven and shapeless, and it was my first time here so I had no idea which stylist to request to fix it. I was given Marlene and I am SO glad I was! She was experienced, honest, quick and efficient but thorough and had great taste. She recommended some shaping tips here and there for my hair during the cut, and I just said yes to everything. I'm SO glad I did! My hair is shaped beautifully now, with some layers added to give it some life. She did an amazing curly styling during the blow dry and I LOVE the 'do! Marlene gets 5 stars!! I'm only giving the overall review 4 stars because when I originally called a few weeks ago, I was quoted $50 for a trim. Then when I got here, the lady said it was $60, but said "they're raising their prices to $80". Wtf? Also, I came in on a Wednesday, which according to Yelp should have gotten me 20% off, but the lady, Sonia, at the front did not honor the discount. She even said at the beginning she WOULD (when I brought it up) but at the end still charged me $60. :( I just let it go because I didn't want to argue over $12 when I was actually happy with the haircut, but that was really disappointing. If a business has a deal up on Yelp, they should honor it. I mean, it's the entire reason I decided to try this place over the other well reviewed salons in the area. You know a stylist is fearless and creative, when each time you go in for a do she has a new cut and an outrageous color... and she tells you she can't remember how many colors she's had since the last time you went in... :) I'm a performer and singer, so going to Guyanne, I know she will make me look like the Rock Star that I want to FEEL like .. there's always ample st parking if the Valet is not there, but the complimentary valet during their normal business hours is treasured. I saw Richard today for highlights and a cut. Richard is AMAZING! He is a five star stylist. The cut and highlights perfectly matched my desired professional look that I discussed with him, and I think he did a beautiful job. He was so meticulous in making sure that the bob was perfectly even and spent a lot of time on the highlights and cut. I took several of his business cards and plan on recommending Richard to anyone who compliments my hair. I was in the salon for almost three hours. The decor in the salon was tasteful and the shampoo was relaxing. However, I have to subtract one star for the pricing bait-and-switch. I don't usually plan out my salon trips very far in advance and I was in the market for a new hair salon after recently relocating to Sherman Oaks. I called Envy to see about making an appointment for a cut and color after reading the previous five star reviews on Yelp. The receptionist told me that they were having a sale - "$100 for a cut and color Tuesday through Thursday." I was told the normal price was $180. I booked an appointment for today based on that promise. I spoke to Richard about wanting a solid lighter color, but he recommended highlights and talked me into doing that. I wanted to ask if it would be more money, but I wrongfully assumed that if it was significantly more that someone from the salon would discreetly notify me of the difference. Imagine my surprise when I went to pay and was told the charge would be $200, not $100. I did not have enough cash and was forced to use a credit card. I did not complain because Richard is a great stylist and his time was worth that much money, but I left feeling slightly upset over the deception/omission (whatever you would prefer to call it). So, if you want an upscale salon experience and a wonderful haircut, come to Envy and ask for Richard, but if money is a concern, be sure to ask about the prices up-front. read more

I go to Todd at Envy. He is a very good hairdresser and is SOOO cute and sweet. He is good with cuts and color. I get a lot of compliments on my hair. Women are always stopping me and asking me who my hairdresser is. He has always given me exactly what I asked for - not like some hairdressers who cut too much, or don't listen. Kaley at Envy Salon & Spa is amazing! She is the best hairstylist I have ever had and I'm so bummed I've moved to Nor Cal and have to find a new stylist. I will absolutely be hitting her up every time I visit So Cal. Kaley is the only person I have ever told "Do whatever you think will look best." I trust her, and she always leaves me looking fantastic. She's an expert in her craft, and an artist too! She is great with color and curly hair. I hear she rocks on extensions too, but I've been blessed with thick hair and don't need those. Seriously, if you want an amazing style, go see Kaley. She's super sweet too. So here's the story: I went to another place to get my haircut. My usual lady wasn't around so I took another girl. All I asked for was a trim with a couple layers because I had been growing it out for 8 months. 45 minutes later my hair looked completely jacked. And I don't mean jacked in an, "Oh these layers are crooked." jacked. I mean, "She literally made HOLES in my hair from thinning shears and the shape of my hair right now looks like I've slept on it and now is lopsided." jacked. I was devastated and almost choked the stylist out. How anyone with a license could do a cut like that is beyond me. I yelped local hair salons and made a appointment with Marlene because something had to be done. I explained to her what happened (while half crying) and the first three things she said were, "Did you pay for this?" "Oh my God" and "It's a good thing you're cute and can pull off short hair." I sat in her chair for two hours while she cut 3 different hairstyles in until we found one that was flattering. The lady is a Godsend. In the end I lost 6 inches of my hair, but I was so happy with how my hair looked I literally started crying again. Marlene really went above and beyond. She took a crying hot mess of a customer and made me a chic crying mess. =D The fact that she took two hours to keep cutting styles until we were both happy is a testament to her professionalism and pride in her work. She was not letting me leave until we both were satisfied. Side note about the salon - gorgeous. The place is really clean and fancy. They even give you robes for under the drape to protect your clothes. I highly recommend Marlene and this salon. read more

Two sisters own this salon and they are both equally sweet. The decor in this salon is ultra plush and they have a little bar where you can sip on some wine, coffee, tea, water, etc. I got my hair color by the owner (I forget her name) a couple of years ago and when I got home I was not completely satisfied, so I called her, went back in, and she fixed it for me GRATIS. Now that's CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! I never went back to her after that initial visit, but not because I was not satisfied, but because I stopped coloring it and went back to my natural color shortly thereafter. I did, however, continue to visit Adelina, one of the estheticians. SHE IS GREAT! She uses all organic products, and makes you feel like a million bucks every time! The prices are kind of up there, but well worth it for true QUALITY products (she uses a Hungarian line imported from overseas). Adelina is from Russia and apparently learned her practice there, so her facials are European style, which I love !!!!!!!!! Every time I have been there we had divulged in interesting conversation---she is HILARIOUS! I love her... If you have a few extra bucks to spare, her services are worth it! And if you really want to spoil yourself, buy the MINT SOUFFLE facial cleanser.... About 20$ and will leave your skin so fresh and so clean, clean !!! read more
