I was on the hunt for a good bagel and ended up finding that plus a dang good coffee and plenty of other goodies. Eola General is tucked just a block away from Lake Eola in a cozy renovated house. I was immediately charmed by the adorable outdoor seating. Inside, you'll find encouraging messages painted on the walls, tons of character, and several fridges stocked with all kinds of beverages, including local beer and wine. Their menu features amazing large bagels, various cream cheeses, and bakery items. One thing I really appreciate about Eola General is their inclusivity when it comes to dietary preferences. They offer lots of vegan options. I ordered an everything bagel with veggie cream cheese, one of my personal favorites, and I can confidently say this was one of the best versions I've ever had. You can actually taste the bits of veggies in the spread. The bagels are big, so make sure you come hungry! Of course, I had to try their coffee too. I went with a seasonal drink called Grandma's Bowl, made with brown butter, toffee nut, pumpkin purée, and oat milk. After one sip, I was convinced this was the best fall drink of the season! Perfectly balanced between sweetness and bold. I was so impressed with their vegan offerings that I also picked up a vegan cupcake for my friend, complete with a cute little acorn design. Eola General is full of delicious options and truly embodies the spirit of Lake Eola and Orlando with its kind staff and unique offerings. I highly recommend this spot for a breakfast date with friends or even a first date. There's definitely something delicious for everyone.

Had lunch at Eola General and we had a great experience. My friend and I both admitted we forget that it's there and that we'd make a point to visit more often because it's a great little spot! All of the staff were super friendly and welcoming, greeting us as soon as we entered and more than one of staff wished us well on our way out. While there we were sitting within earshot of who I think was one of the owners. She was talking about building relationships with customers, learning their names and just the overall culture that they want to have at Eola General. I really admired it because that kind of service and care is hard to come by these days. What initially brought us in was their seasonal drinks that we saw on Instagram. We needed to try them! Since it was lunchtime I ordered the seasonal cold brew tea with dragonfruit and strawberries. The name had something to do with Game of Thrones, Targeryon? I don't watch it. Anyway, it was delicious! It was sweet without being too sweet. I grabbed a sandwich (turkey pesto) and a cookie to take home to my SO (sugar sprinkle.) My friend got the Monster Mash latte which was pistachio and chocolate, it was so good! She got the broccolini and artichoke sandie and it looked so good! They had quite a few vegan options which is awesome, not something you see very often! We had a great time and both said we would be back soon!

I finally made it to this adorable downtown general store! The rustic aesthetic is charming, and they had a cute seasonal menu with slightly over the top drinks. Even with a short line, the service was a bit slow, but the seasonal mocha latte made the wait entirely worth it. Space is tight inside, so plan on grabbing a spot on the patio! There's lots of fans and shade so no reason to worry about the heat

Seriously one of my favorite places in downtown, maybe even in general. soooo delicious and the sweetest staff always. The vibes make u feel like you're living your best day while you're there. I always (and never have i ever steered away) get the Eola Turkey Club on a vegan everything bagel with vegan garlic chive. Always hits and never misses. last night i also went to a wine tasting and it was amazing, my friend and i had a blast. Matt was awesome and was super knowledgeable about all of the wine we tried:) pls come here if u love yourself!

Every time I am in Orlando I make sure to stop here for a bagel because I wholeheartedly believe these are some of the best bagels in Florida! They're so soft and flavorful and you can't go wrong with any of their cream cheese options. They have an extensive array of vegan options as well. Staff was wonderful and accommodating. The seating area outside overlooks such a warm neighborhood and is a great place to meet with friends.

This place is so nice! Good coffee, bagels, and outside atmosphere. I recommended it to some of my friends and came back the next weekend. I got a ricotta cream cheese and it tasted more like cinnamon, which didn't go well with my asiago bagel, but the avocado toast with goat cheese was delicious!

I've had this place bookmarked forever, I wish I would've visited sooner. I rarely give anywhere 5 stars, but this place is worthy. This place is awesome, cozy and quaint and right now it has all the holiday feels. Theres indoor and outdoor seating and you can order anything from wines, beers, coffee to sandwiches and soups. I absolutely loved it and cannot wait to go back. The staff was super friendly and welcoming and answered all questions and gave good suggestions. They have a happy hour $4 glass of wine at 4pm, $5 glass at 5pm and $6 glass at 6pm. You can't be it! I tried the tomato soup and grilled cheese and it was bomb!! I loved my entire experience here and if you're in the area you should definitely stop in.

    Seasonal drink menu

The food is delicious and filling and they have a ton of freshly baked pastries available for sale. They have a rotating menu of coffees and teas depending on the season, always varied and tasty. The environment is very welcoming, the staff will give your pet a treat and help recommend the right drink option for you. It feels like community when you visit. Be sure to try the sunrise sandwich, it's incredible!

I absolutely love this place. This is a true neighborhood gem. I hope it never closes. Food selection is great and accommodate a vegan diet. Kind service. Chill ambience and LGBTQ+ allies.

Eola General is a quaint little spot nestled in the Lake Eola Heights neighborhood. I've always wanted to go to this spot and finally did! To be honest.. I was really intrigued by their Sunrise Bagel on Uber Eats. It looked sooo good that I thought it would be best to experience first hand We went on a Friday morning and it wasn't too busy. Folks were studying, catching up with friends, had their kids on the patio, even someone with their pooch outdoors. It had all walks of life here which I loved. Now - the food! This is a fast-casual, order at the counter and take a number type of dining experience. We started with the sangrias which were great, just your standard sangria. I will say I wasn't a fan of the cold brew coffee - the flavor of the coffee itself I think was just too bitter for me. But! The food was great. The sunrise bagel was awesome - I chose an Asiago Bagel with a Jalapeño Pimento Cheese spread with all the other fixings it comes with and it all worked soooo well together. You have the options of their house-made kettle chips with a chilli lime salt or their pasta salad! Either one were good honestly, but I really liked the chips! Totally recommend this local and quite hidden gem for a breakfast, lunch, brunch type of vibe.

    chicken florentine is so good.

i just love being here! been a frequent flyer for years. i enjoy all of their sandwiches, sweet treats, coffees & toast!!! i sometimes will come here to read, or have a meeting or add a book to the book box they have. i don't live in Eola but if i did... i'd be here every single day! i also want to highlight the staff. they're always so kind & courteous. as well as the owner Robin who's always so friendly! megan is my favorite as she always takes excellent care of me while i'm here. you can tell the people here are happy & care about this place a lot! i don't own a dog but there are fur friends all over the place. so very much a dog friendly environment! lastly, i'm a slut for lox bagels & EG is the only place that i know to get them. that's my favorite thing on the menu. hands down. no question. you need to experience this place. ya gotta trust me. kindly, GTB

It is located in the Mills 50 district next to Tori Tori (another local FAV). It is truly a nice little getaway spot from the usual hustle and bustle of the Mills 50 bar scene. They have seating indoors and outdoors. Their outdoor patio area is charming and adorned with umbrellas, and the fountain just adds a special touch, as well as masks the typical street sounds of passing cars and passersby. In the cooler months, the patio is just a vibe! The interior is just as charming with "French-inspired" influences, lovely lighting & decor that ties in the European escape this wine bar beautifully embodies. On my first visit, we tried to sit outdoors, but the Florida heat (& bees) had other plans for us. So, we transitioned inside and sat at their bar area. We were immediately greeted by the kindest servers who guided us on their menu selections. My friend and I, with similar wine tastes (we both love our wines DRY like DESERT), both opted for a glass of rosé and YUM! We followed it up with a white selection recommended by our server, and we enjoyed it immensely. Truly ten, ten, tens across the board! We did not eat (which, in all honesty, is okay with me). And based on reviews from various other Yelpers, the consensus SEEMS to be to eat prior to coming to Lorelei. So, I kept that in mind and on my second visit to Lorelei, I decided to just try MORE of their wine selection. On my most recent visit, we did try some light bites. Typically, on all my visits, I usually cap around two glasses of wine, and it's reasonable. They are not the cheapest spot, especially if you add food to your tab, but for the quality, it is worth it (to me as it relates to the wine selection), as I haven't really had a terrible glass of wine there. Maybe on my next visit, I'll try more of their food menu. Beyond that, Lorelei has been a great addition to the Mills 50 District! I am looking forward to how they will grow with the community!

While speaking to staff I was informed of the full food menu that is available after 5 pm. I just had to see how they did with Cacio e pepe and wow I was surprised. This is a basic dish but it was executed perfectly. I certainly will be back again soon to order that again. I would take someone else who would enjoy but while they like Pasta they don't do wine. At this time, the restaurant was quiet, but by the time we left the place was packed. It should be noted we left at closing time as we had such a fun and enjoyable experience. Our happiness (and the fact we spent almost seven hours here) was due to our server, Emily B. Although Emily told us she has only been working as a server here for the last two weeks, I think she will have a great run at this location. She has an effervescent personality and was easy to talk to and laugh with, which she displayed to all of her customers. Obviously, we became good friends with her throughout the night. Emily allowed us to have a tasting of various wines to determine which one we would like to select for the evening. We went with the Adelsheim Pinot Noir ($88 a bottle) to start the night. We ordered the Bacon Wrapped Dates (serving of three), the Burrata (a combination of cheese, basil pesto, tomatoes and balsamic dijon vinaigrette on wood grilled ciabatta bread), the Tuna Crudo (seared ahi tuna with cucumbers, pineapple and cilantro) and a board consisting of Spanish style salame and aged Gouda cheese. The board also had roasted almonds and honeycomb, along with the bread. As the night continued, we ordered another bottle of the Pinot Noir and a second helping of the fantastic Burrata. We appreciated the fact that we were not rushed from our table as we were allowed to have a relaxing and enjoyable evening of great conversation. At the end of the night, Emily provided us with a slice of olive oil citrus cake on the house. (What a thoughtful touch!) It was a heavenly ending to the evening and went well with our wine selection. If you are ever at this Winter Park location, I highly recommend you request Emily B.'s section if you are able to do so. As stated above, she made our evening. Thank you, Emily B!
