Eouus Orion our waiter was awesome and James the manager was nice. Our food was fabulous. Love the scallops, pork belly, and my ceaser salad with glass potato and we ordered the anchovies because I like the dark anchovies. I really can't remember the history of this building, but the brick was fabulous. You can even see the outlines of where the old window used to be. They had a great deck upstair, plenty of seats with some Misters. I WOULD RECOMMEND

Located right in the midst of action, the ambiance was top notch--perfect for a special occasion. For starters I had a Lemon Drop cocktail which was excellent. We shared the hanger steak served rare. It was a minor work of art in its presentation, and tasted as good as it looked. It was accompanied by pavé potatoes, which is menu-speak for a baked stack of thin potato slices. They were actually pretty good. And the whole roasted peppers served as garnish surprisingly added a welcome flavor. I uploaded a photo.

We had mixed experience. My husband's food was fabulous (lobster burger) and he would recommend it to anyone and felt it was very reasonably priced for the quality. I had the salmon and the sides were great (especially the mushrooms) but fish was terrible. The fish wasn't fresh and had that fishy (trout like) after taste. The brussel sprouts app was good, but citrus zest was overpowering. Wine list is good and service was very attentive. I appreciated that all the wait staff seem to work in harmony. Ambiance was fine but very loud - so if you struggle in loud places - ask for rooftop instead.

Impressive service from Malachi and attention to detail from the GM Eric. Eric placed us at an open table during the dinner service when only reservations were being seated. Eric told us to give him about 45 minutes to sneak us in. We returned at that time and Eric placed us in Malachi's (should be #1 server) section. What a treat. Everything about our meal was excellent. I saw the hangar steak on the menu and just had to try the Chimichurri. Well, not as good as mine, but the plate was fantastic with the 20 layer potatoes smoked tomato jam, blistered shishitos, roasted garlic aioli and THEIR chimichurri. Excellent plate. Beautiful setting. A great spot to splurge on an outing with my wife. If we ever come back to Durango, this will again be a must do. Dicks

On the recommendation of our hotel host, we went here while celebrating our wedding anniversary. Ordered two glasses of Napa CA Cabernet (we think Napa has the best Cabs), tow side organic salads and split the pork chop. The Cabs were really good. The salads were great! The walnuts, Gorgonzola and dressing were the perfect combo. The ciabatta bread was ok (not a lot of flavor). The pork was cooked perfect and presented well. It was yummy. The black currant sauce was very good. The mac and cheese was also very good (bacon and jalapeño). We aren't big fans of cooked spinach, but it was also good. Highly recommend. Our server was awesome and we thoroughly enjoyed our meals!

The steak was incredibly flavorful and practically melted in my mouth. What stood out most was how well everything complemented each other, the seafood, pasta, and steak created a perfectly balanced dish. My husband ordered the Ahi, and it was equally delicious, fresh, well-prepared, and full of flavor. We started with the calamari and were pleasantly surprised when it came with homemade fettuccine. It was honestly some of the best calamari we've had in a long time, perfectly cooked and beautifully paired. Overall, this is a great choice if you're looking for an upscale dining experience with thoughtfully prepared dishes. Definitely recommend.

We were seated on the patio and it took quite a while for our server to greet us. Once she did, she brought water and took our drink order. She returned with our drinks and said she would be back to take our food order. We had plenty to talk about while waiting, but she repeatedly walked past our table to attend to other tables without stopping. Eventually, I had to stop her and let her know we were ready to order. My wife and our friend's wife both ordered a pasta dish with sliced steak and spinach. My friend had a salad with salmon and a bowl of soup, and I ordered the filet with potato lasagna and spinach. As the evening went on, it became breezy and chilly. I asked another server if the patio heater could be turned on, and someone came over right away to help, which we appreciated. When our meals arrived, everything looked excellent and tasted very good. The food was definitely the highlight of the evening. Unfortunately, our server only stopped by our table once during the entire meal to check on us and it was lien she was in a rush to leave to table. We spent a long time waiting to see if she would ask whether we needed anything or if we were finished. It wasn't as though she had to go out of her way to reach us--she walked past our table numerous times while serving her other tables. Because of the lack of attention, I once again had to get her attention to let her know we were finished and ask for a dessert menu. I ordered the Dubai Chocolate dessert to go after she highly recommended it. Unfortunately, it did not live up to the description once I had a chance to eat it. The chocolate flavor was very mild, and the crunchy layer on the bottom was not particularly enjoyable nothing like a Dubai Chocolate. Overall, the food was excellent and deserving of praise. However, for a fine dining restaurant where both the food and drinks come at premium prices, the service fell well short of expectations. Great meals can make for a memorable evening, but attentive service is an important part of the fine dining experience, and unfortunately that was missing during our visit.

We started with the Bavarian pretzel, which was served with beer cheese and mustard. It was delicious and fresh! I then had the southwestern burger, which is always a favorite of mine because of the green chilis. The burgers are always cooked nicely (I order medium) and I was able to substitute a side salad, which was easily one of the best side salads I've ever had at a brewery. We are doing dry January, so no beers this time, but had a lovely hop water that they brew there and even left with a growler full. Highly recommend Steamworks for an authentic Durango experience or if you're just trying to catch a game or hangout with friends. It definitely has fun, local brewery vibes. We will definitely be back!

The location was perfect for us because we were able to easily walk there from our hotel. We were lucky enough to get outdoor seating, which made the experience even better. It was great to sit outside and enjoy the beautiful Durango weather, and people watch while having dinner. We decided to do a beer flight so we could sample a variety of their beers before committing to a full pint. It was a great way to try different styles, and we each ended up finding a favorite. Everything we tried was really good. My husband liked their Buffalo wings and whiskey burger, I enjoyed the seared tuna bowl, and our kids liked their pizza. It is definitely a busy and popular spot, especially during peak vacation times, so I would recommend putting your name in early and expecting there could be a wait. In our opinion it was worth it. Steamworks had a great casual vibe that worked well for both families and adults wanting to enjoy a brewery experience. The downtown location adds to the charm, and it definitely felt like one of those must visit spots while in Durango.
