Good fast Venezuelan food. The dining room is simple and is a little worn. The tables turn over but are not cleaned as fast as I would have liked. I ordered a Arepa and it was delicious. Huge portion. That earned the fourth star. The menu is vast, perhaps too much so but I will attempt again to knock out some of the other items on my next visit. The staff was very friendly but I think there was only one cook as the wait was a bit longer then I would have imagined. Definitely a do again. I ordered delivery from super arepa and I must say I'm impressed. The food was absolutely exquisite. I had ban de Bono (deliciously made), grilled chicken arepa (it was okay), empanada colombiana (my absolute favorite so crunchy and not too greasy), a super cachapa (I ordered this without knowing and I'm so impressed! Absolutely exquisite) and a Venezuelan empanada (I like the Colombian empanadas more but not bad). We wound up at Super Arepa on a Sunday afternoon during a moment of sheer "hanger". The restaurant is nestled into a shopping center right off of 36th and 87th Avenue. The establishment is the type where you go to the counter to place your order and they deliver your meal to the table when it's ready. We ordered the Beef Super Arepa and the Beef Super Patacon. We attempted to order a MIA Beer on draft but was told they had no MIA beer. I ordered one combo which came with fries and a soda. After seeing the fountain drink dispenser behind the counter, I decided on a Coke. Our meals came out piping hot and were so yummy! The green sauce was insanely delicious that I found myself making multiple trips to the sauce station to get more of it. I ate every last bit of my patacon with no guilt :) The downsides - first, where this restaurant is in Doral, I was surprised that the employees dealing with the public could not speak English. Even when initially tried to place our order in English, we were asked if we spoke Spanish so that we could continue to order in Spanish. Secondly, the lack of beverages available. They had at least 4 or 5 taps of beer, but half of them were not working. We also received a can of Coke when they have a fountain drink dispenser behind the counter. Super Arepa is a chain and I found myself questioning if I had just come at a bad time, or if it was always like this. Wow. I've never had Venezuelan food before so I had to try it while staying briefly at a nearby hotel. The woman behind the counter was very helpful and gracious while explaining the foods to me and waiting for me to order. It was all delicious just like described to me. The price is what appeals to me and being in the area that is about it. The food is just ok at best, the service IS TERRIBLE. I do not know of many places where the service is this bad. I went inside with friends, about 5-6 young adults( workers) were sitting with friends watching stuff on their phones, nobody else was even in the restaurant and it took the lady about 3 minutes to come a foot away behind the counter to take my order. She acted upset that her video was interrupted as well, I then ordered then it took another 3-4 minute for the kitchen staff to come from the table and start making food, it took about 15-20 minutes to make the food when no one was in the restaurant. I do not think the food is terrible but it is nothing special. It is supposed to be fast food, and the service is just SLOW. Being that it is in Doral there is a lot of better restaurants to go to for VZ food that will give good service and higher quality food as well. read more

We ordered the arepa with carne mechada. Service was OK but the carne had a strong taste of olives or capers. Unusual for the Venezuelan version of carne mechada. Also the arepa was cut in half like a burger bun. We prefer it scooped out and stuffed with food. Otherwise nothing spectacular, we prefer El Saman or Arepazzo. read more

Very good place to get your arepas and Venezuelan fare, the decor and atmosphere is unpretentious, you know you are there to eat and not to have an "experience". We had a shredded yellow cheese arepa, a queso guayanes arepa, a cheese empanada, fried yuca and a chicha. All were masterly prepared, the arepas were fluffy and overstuffed (the way it should be) , the yuca was crispy on the outside and the chicha was thick and very tasty. So, I tried this place today. I told the cashier that this is my first time eating there and she didn't even bother to tell me about their combo which is not listed under their menu. When I saw their offer for combo on screen I asked her if I can change my order or pay extra to have the combo, but she replied no! I was introduced to Grilled Chicken Arepa by my Venezuelan friend. Being in a restaurant, I assumed their arepas are better than my friend's mom homemade arepas, but I was wrong! It was uncooked greasy arepas buns with dry chicken without topics. The cheese was not white usual arepa cheese. Service and food are both lacking. Sorry super Arepas but this was my first and last time spending my money there. read more

I LOVE Colombian food & this place reminds me of when I was there. I tried the Colombian style burger w/ fries & got the Colombiana drink to go with it. The fries were fresh & hot (loved it!). The burger was good too - the only thing was that the patty had quite a few chewy, cartilage like places that I didn't enjoy quite as much. The burger also had this pineapple purée on it, which I wasn't expecting, but I enjoyed it. It gave the burger more of a sweet taste. My friend tried the Colombian style hot dog- which he allowed me to try - & I really loved it! I honestly felt it tasted better than the burger, so next time, I'm going to get that instead.
