The condition of the comics was 50/50. A few books I wanted had some heavy edging to them. The spines were not in the best shape but that was just the ones I picked up and looked at. I made an exception for the ones I bought because I try to never go into a store and not buy at least one thing. Always trying to keep the indie comic places around with one book at a time. This section explains why the store got 4 and not 5 from me. Is it worth chancing out? Absolutely! Oh... do not use the address in Yelp. It's wrong. Use Google or Waze.

In terms of stock for things other than comics, they have a selection that I see as mediocre at best at times, though this is likely due to supply and demand, especially now considering everything going on. Necessary D&D minis were sometimes hard to come across even before this. Overall, the Multiverse is a great place to stop in my experience. They don't have a large collection of back issues. They do have super cheap Star Wars Black Series figures. I feel like they could really look at online prices and inflate the prices of their figures and make more money.. but they don't. I've gotten a few figures here for retail that sold online for 40-50 bucks. It says a lot about the integrity of the owners that they aren't marking those up. Great shop! Check it out!

I was open to the Manga I wanted by genre; it was a matter of finding the right one. One, I knew, would keep my attention. My favorite Anime of all time is DeathNote, so I figured this was the perfect selection. Several titles caught my eye, and I look forward to my next visit. The purchase price was reasonable; it was actually a bit less than the cost at some other places, and it was a great buy. It's all here in one crowded, slightly chaotic package. They've got a ton of bulk Pokémon and Magic cards in large, loosely organized drawers you can dig through for hours. You probably won't find anything rare, but it's a good time if you're the type to go treasure hunting for something. There's a decent selection of tabletop minis, paints, tiles, TTRPG books, and board games, nothing mind-blowing, but more than enough to get a new campaign rolling or add to your collection. The manga and comic section is sizable too, though I can't speak to the quality since that's not my scene. Events happen regularly, which is great in theory but a bit awkward in practice if you're not partaking. If you need access to the back wall where the tables are, you'll likely be squeezing past players mid-match. If it's accessible at all. The entrance can also get pretty bottlenecked depending on how many people are milling around. The store's clean enough for a hobby shop, but if you're a germaphobe, maybe bring hand sanitizer. The staff are helpful when asked and otherwise leave you to browse. Every now and then one might get chatty, but not in a bad way. The whole place is welcoming with that typical nerdy vibe you expect from a place like this. It's a very inclusive store, if that's your thing. The prices are as you would expect. If not on the higher side. We like Generation X. They've got the biggest selection of the stuff we're usually hunting for. Still, I don't know why, but we're always looking for an alternative. This bookstore is located in the Fort Worth area and has a nice selection of books for all ages. I actually think their children section is much larger compared to other stores, which I think is perfect for families. Personally I prefer fantasy/fiction books and that specific selection was much smaller compared to other stores, however they had some of the most popular titles. Besides books, they have a nice selection of stationary items, puzzles and other games. They definitely had some very unique finds I hadn't seen anywhere else. Last but not least, they do have a rewards program and for every $100 you spend you get credit to your next purchase which I thought was pretty nice and a good incentive to support local businesses. If you live in the area I would highly recommend joining their program.

As someone who knew barely anything at all, I was a bit overwhelmed and lost while looking through their selection (which is very well presented and organized). Nick, an employee there, was so helpful in assisting me as I looked for certain titles, explaining how comic cycles work, and how their store operates. Last time I was there, there was a young boy with his mom, he was looking at pokemon cards. The mom clearly didn't know much and the people at the counter did not offer any help. He wanted to look through bulk but the counter was too high. The mom gave up and just told him to look at the cards on display and pick from there. I swear if this kid could've looked through the bulk he would've had such an amazing experience! (They have good cards). Instead he walked away with a single card from the display. Kinda sad, I know lots of adults collect this stuff but we can't forget that we became obsessed with it when we were kids like him.
