    My terrarium

We had such an amazing time! It's such a cute shop with a variety of plants. You go through a class with the owner of how to make your own terrarium then finish off with options of adding additional figurines and decorations to it. Highly recommended!

So many plants to look at.

This is one great little plant shop, buried on the corner of a little strip center on Magnolia. I had an extra day off and (because I'm into her) recommended we go by this place that came up on a search for new restaurants to try. Plants aren't so much my thing, but I deeply appreciate the time and patience she puts into the flourishing fauna inside and outside our home. So, off we went to see what's up at Ephemera. The store is small and packed with thriving, vibrant plants in cool little spaces. All of them are ragingly happy and colorful. Living with a plant person, you start talking about plant's in terms of human emotions. Idk, it just rubs off. So, yeah. The plants here are really joyful. I wish I had gotten the name of the guy we talked to. He clearly has a strong connection to plants and is very knowledgeable, having a certain glee in sharing what he knows with likeminded people. Are your Monstera not fenestrating? Unsure whether perlite or wood chips are better for your soil mix? These guys can help you figure it out. We took home a jubilant little Alocasia Bambino. We will definitely be back.

This was such a fun experience! It was fun to be able to pick out everything and then have them explain each step and how it is important for the plants you pick for the terrarium. They were super helpful to explain what is best for the plants. Definitely will be coming back again.

This plant shop is located around other local shops in the downtown Fortworth area. There is parking available in the front of the store and the side of the store. Once I stepped inside I was glad I stopped by. They have an extensive collection of plants, David was helpful with showing me low maintenance plants. They have comic books, offer build your own terrarium classes, stickers/pins for sales as well as miniature toys. They have glassware available for the terrarium as well. I picked up a pin, stickers and a Rama verde peperomia plant. They have plant holders available as well. The prices for plants are affordable and I love how warm and inviting the plant shop is. I will defeinitely be back.

This was a great experience! Our plant guide was so helpful, nice, and a great conversationalist. He explained the process, gave recommendations, and walked us through the creating process. I will be coming back.

Ephemera Terrariums is a Terrific Terrarium Tavern! Your time won't be ephemeral here.. there is so much to look at! From a variety of plant species to tiny toys for your terrarium - you'll find yourself wanting to become a plant parent. The passion the team here has for their craft shows through their work here! I saw so many passionate plant-lovers having the time of their life here and joking around with the staff. Cheers, ephemera! I can't wait to be back & make a terrarium of my own!

Went here for a date night adventure with the hubs. We loved it and highly recommend the Build Your Own Terrarium class. Matthew was very knowledgeable and helpful. Great value for your money too!

This is such a cute plant shop i came across while walking in the area. I am a plant lover and going to this shop gave me joy. It was a very unique and plant-shop apt decor. My questions were answered very precisely and told me that they give life long support for plant care. I ended up buying royal highness gasterialoe. If you love plants and terrariums, definitely visit...

DO not pay attention to one negative review. You HAVE to check this place out!! It is the cutest store. The BEST customer service. We did a class and it was educational and fun. I can't remember the person who helped us but I think he may be the owner (not sure). He was so positive and made it so easy and enjoyable! If you like plants in general or just want something different to do, this is it! Such an enjoyable afternoon. I'm scheduling another class tomorrow for my daughter and I, it was that cool!

Succulents are very popular and Ephemera adds a little twist. They sell comic books in addition to making your own terrarium. Not only can you choose your own unique container to make one, but you can also add little comic characters, colored rocks, and other items. I spent a little less than an hour picking my container, succulent, and perfecting the additions. The containers can get very pricey (the price on the container is for one plant and all materials). I wonder if they would give a discount for bringing in your own container. The cat one pictured was $20. They also have plenty of completed terrariums to choose from. The owner was very helpful giving us step by step instructions and tips for how to decorate. The owners also gave complete instruction on how to take care of the succulent. Overall, it was a great experience.

I was open to the Manga I wanted by genre; it was a matter of finding the right one. One, I knew, would keep my attention. My favorite Anime of all time is DeathNote, so I figured this was the perfect selection. Several titles caught my eye, and I look forward to my next visit. The purchase price was reasonable; it was actually a bit less than the cost at some other places, and it was a great buy. The customer service was as I would have expected, courteous and well-versed.

The Store We Like but Keep Trying to Replace…read more We've been here several times with both friends and family. It's a large but otherwise typical nerd store: cards, comics, minis, dice, events. It's all here in one crowded, slightly chaotic package. They've got a ton of bulk Pokémon and Magic cards in large, loosely organized drawers you can dig through for hours. You probably won't find anything rare, but it's a good time if you're the type to go treasure hunting for something. There's a decent selection of tabletop minis, paints, tiles, TTRPG books, and board games, nothing mind-blowing, but more than enough to get a new campaign rolling or add to your collection. The manga and comic section is sizable too, though I can't speak to the quality since that's not my scene. Events happen regularly, which is great in theory but a bit awkward in practice if you're not partaking. If you need access to the back wall where the tables are, you'll likely be squeezing past players mid-match. If it's accessible at all. The entrance can also get pretty bottlenecked depending on how many people are milling around. The store's clean enough for a hobby shop, but if you're a germaphobe, maybe bring hand sanitizer. The staff are helpful when asked and otherwise leave you to browse. Every now and then one might get chatty, but not in a bad way. The whole place is welcoming with that typical nerdy vibe you expect from a place like this. It's a very inclusive store, if that's your thing. The prices are as you would expect. If not on the higher side. We like Generation X. They've got the biggest selection of the stuff we're usually hunting for. Still, I don't know why, but we're always looking for an alternative. Maybe it's the clutter, maybe it's the crowding, or the drive. Either way, it's a reliable go-to even if it's not quite "the one."

As someone who knew barely anything at all, I was a bit overwhelmed and lost while looking through their selection (which is very well presented and organized). Nick, an employee there, was so helpful in assisting me as I looked for certain titles, explaining how comic cycles work, and how their store operates. They even checked their back stock to see if they had certain issues I was seeking! My fav comic shop I have ever attempted to look through. I even signed up for their really cool subscription plan! Last time I was there, there was a young boy with his mom, he was looking at pokemon cards. The mom clearly didn't know much and the people at the counter did not offer any help. He wanted to look through bulk but the counter was too high. The mom gave up and just told him to look at the cards on display and pick from there. I swear if this kid could've looked through the bulk he would've had such an amazing experience! (They have good cards). Instead he walked away with a single card from the display. Kinda sad, I know lots of adults collect this stuff but we can't forget that we became obsessed with it when we were kids like him.

Frankly I was awed by how beautiful the area was and the attention to detail in the surrounding architecture. Gift is located right in the center of it and shares the space with a nail salon. They have a small but mighty variety of items, including home decor, purses, jewelry, cards and much more. You can tell everything in the store is uniquely curated. I found some brands I really love that I hadn't seen in a few years. Last but not least, the employee working at the store was kind and walked us through some of the items they carry. The atmosphere is relaxed with upbeat music playing in the background. Esther mentioned upcoming workshops that will take place next door. They offer gift wrapping and will wrap your flowers which is a lovely touch. I picked up some dried flowers and a card. They encouraged me to explore local shops across from them. They have a small parking lot in the front and street parking is available. I look forward to returning when I'm in the area.
