All of my windows are tinted, and both times Alex showed up with tinted glass that perfectly matched my original windows. He is very thorough and makes sure to clean up all of the broken glass, including vacuuming inside the door, not just what you can see. I reached out to this business specifically requesting Pilkington or FYG (Fuyuan) glass and was very clear about that up front. Alex gave me a "thumbs up" to confirm he would have FYG the next day. When Alex and the installer arrived, the glass was ATI -- not what I asked for. I caught it before installation and offered to wait for the correct glass, but he told me he didn't want to come back because he "can't control the elements and what's sent to him" and simply refunded my $75 deposit. Throughout the process, he refused to speak on the phone and would only text. I initially assumed it might be a language barrier, but when I met him in person, his English was perfectly fine -- which made the lack of direct communication feel like avoidance. Glass quality matters, especially when you're being charged the same price for a lower-grade product. That's just bad business -- and it's not okay to substitute without disclosure before arriving to a job. I wasn't charged in the end, but the lack of transparency, unwillingness to follow through, and overall attitude left a bad impression. Also... the handshake didn't exactly inspire confidence. I literally had just moved to Los Angeles for 6 days when my car window got broken into on a Saturday. It was the rear quarter panel glass, which apparently is rarely broken and so not many parts for this specific window are floating around. With my (bad) luck, it was over Memorial Day weekend, so many shops were closed and many warehouse for parts were closed as well, both until at least Tuesday. I contact 13 shops. Many said they did not have the part right off the bat. One actually said they had it, then looked at the photo I sent and realized they had the wrong part. Another shop quoted me $350, then changed the quote to $700. All the others quoted me in the $700 to $800 range. When Alex finally responded, I was so glad. He charged me $375, with a $100 deposit. I still had to wait until Wednesday, but that was early compared to other shops that could not schedule me in until Thursday. Alex is a mobile service, so he contacted me the day of to confirm time and address. When he arrived, I felt so relieved that I actually brought him a bottle of water. I watched him work, and he replaced the window in about 25 minutes or so. We made small talk here and there, he is a nice guy, and professional. I would highly recommend him! He gave me instructions on when to remove the tape, how long to avoid rolling down the windows while driving, and how long to avoid washing the car, all of which I have forgotten by now (it was 2 months ago). Apparently a lot of people run into issues with car window replacements because they do not follow these instructions well, so be sure to ask and follow them carefully! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM OR ALEX THE MAIN GUY! He came to replaced my windshield and did a HORRIBLE job , you're better off paying a few more bucks somewhere else . First of all he came in late , screaming and rushing the work with two of his sons. After he replaced my window he told me his vacuums battery didn't work so he couldn't vacuum all the glass from my trunk.(which was the first sign ) He added too much excess glue on the edges of the window and put A LOT of blue sticky tape all around my window. I asked him why he put so much and he said it was going to be fine . After I took the tape off it ended up chipping my paint because the glue got stuck to the tape. I texted him and called him many times to make it right but he ignored me, now I have to pay hundreds of dollars to make my car looked better . It's such an inconvenience.
