I called William to see if he could bring the car in. Instead, he taught me that it was something that I could fix myself. One of the best experiences I've had going to a mechanic. I have a 1992 ford ranger that broke down and wouldn't start, this was the closest mechanic at the time, so I stopped in to see if he had time to diagnose my car possibly, not only was he able to take it in, but Will also came down the street to help me push my truck into the shop. He also diagnosed/fixed the issue fairly fast within a day or two, was able to clearly explain what was wrong, and even ran some extra tests to double check everything was running well before I left. I was recommended to visit William by a neighbor for my BMW and the experience was excellent. He performed visual inspections and diagnosis for some regular maintenance (brakes), and offered to postpone until the optimal time for parts that still had life left in them. When the time came to get the work done, he was easy to work with on scheduling, transparent on the work and costs expected, and had a recommendation to avoid a part replacement with a simpler fix. He also offered services and communicated well during the process for things that made sense to bundle at the same time. This allowed me to have a streamlined experience without having to come back again very soon. I had a horrible experience with the serramonte dodge dealership trying to sort out an issue with my 2015 dodge durango RT. They misdiagnosed the problem for $3K+ to replace the rear differcal and when that didn't work, wanted to charge me an additional $6k to replace the transfer case! Neither would have fixed the problem but Will at Epic auto did by taking the time to diagnose the issue of the transfer case module which fixed the issue for under $1200. Thank you Will! read more

William is extremely good at getting to the root of the problem. My Ford van with less than 5 years and 67,000 miles started lurching back and forth, RPMs up and down, between 2nd and 3rd gear. I took it to the Ford dealer, and they recommended $4,200 of repairs unrelated to the transmission. I asked William his quote for the same repairs Ford recommended and his price was much lower. So I brought the car to him, and he said the repairs Ford recommended had nothing to do with the drivability issues and that this was likely transmission related. Ford warrants transmissions for 5 years or 60K miles, and our car has 67K miles. William recommended starting by changing the transmission fluid, which cost a few hundred dollars. After that, the car is running smoothly. William made this recommendation after having our car for only 2 hours. Ford had the van for 4 days. I saved several thousand dollars taking the car to William. He's very responsive, has excellent communication, a great detective for solving issues with the car and also a very nice person. Will be coming back for sure. We also previously brought our 19-year-old Audi to William. The Audi had a check engine light on and off for over a year and we had been told by other mechanics that the code could mean many different things, and no one really knew what to do to address the issue. The dealer was too expensive and our other mechanic we used before meeting William said the repairs were too involved and he was too uncertain the root cause. We learned of William through a referral and brought our Audi to him. William spent some time carefully diagnosing the problem and made a recommendation. It was all so complicated I can't even describe it but suffice it to say he fixed our car, and it is running so well! It is driving like it used to and we are so happy with his workmanship, his ability to diagnose difficult issues, his communication and we finally have found someone we trust to work on our old European car that we want to keep and continue to repair as needed. Last week I had to replace the brakes, no easy job since it has an oversized Brembo kit, finding the right replacement parts is a pain, got me a new set of rear rotors and pads and saved me a bunch of money resurfacing the front rotors, also he figured out that it uses Dodge Viper brake pads. It's hard to find a good, knowledgeable, and most importantly, HONEST mechanic out there. Will is that person! We went to another place close by for our maintenance since it's under warranty but they had recently told us we needed to change our brakes which would cost $1000+. Luckily, we declined that additional service there and got a second opinion. Epic quoted us something a few hundred dollars cheaper for the brake change so we decided to try them out instead. I had a huge problem with my car, (A blown head gasket) It almost doesn't get any worse than that I knew what the problem was I had called around to a bunch garages and told them what I thought was wrong immediately they quoted me huge prices I said why don't you take a look at the car first before you start quoting me I had a feeling that most these garages were interested in making a huge profit off me Without taking a physical look At my vehicle and doing a diagnostic to find out what the problem really was I wasn't happy with my prior searches. I happen to come across a place called (Epic automotive) I spoke to William who happened to be the mechanic and owner he told me why don't you bring it down let me take a look at it and we'll go from there well sure enough it was a blown head gasket he told me what his cost would be which seem to be very reasonable compared to the big car dealerships I left my car with him got it fixed when I got it back it ran like a brand new car again. I never had any problem out of it and since then he's become the mechanic for pretty much anything else that I get done with my car. I bought a 1997 BMW with questionable maintenance on Craigslist and brought it to William at Epic (which was definitely the right choice). He was super patient. He explained what needed to be done "now" and what needed to be done "soon" and what parts he'd be taking off for other repairs anyway. I recently took my BMW 2008 550i to EPIC and I'm definitely glad I did! I left my car with William and he emailed and texted me every step of the way.
