I cannot believe the wonderful experience I had with a mechanic! My car was making a clicking noise like it was the starter. I was having trouble getting a tow from AAA, and John kept checking in with me. Once my car was looked at, it turns out that it was just some loose bolts. John was just going to charge me $46. He didn't have to be honest with me. Since I was planning on spending money anyway, I asked him about getting a radio (It had been dead over a year). He searched for a hard to find kit and surprised me with the new radio. I have been rocking out all week. And they were able to get me my car back in one day which meant I didn't have to miss work. This is the worst business I have ever seen. They moved into the middle of a residential area and have two buildings. They have junk cars and tow trucks everywhere,. Cars parked in the street. Cars parked backwards in the street. repairing cars in the street. Way too many cars that they own as they buy and sell cars. They have ruined this area for the people that have to live around here. They even have taken over the vacant BP lot to store junk cars and are even parking on a vacant residential lot next to their building. They park all around the curve on Lackland and you can';t see to pull out on Oakland. They agreed to only a certain number of cars but they have way exceed that. Plus buses, tow trucks and just plain junk everywhere. Terrible neighbors. Attempts to get them to fix the problems have failed. Worst neighbors EVER. read more

Let me start off by saying this is by far the worst experience I've ever had doing business with anybody John from the beginning told me lies tried over charging me for a water pump that he said was not related to my accident which in fact it was and as well he overcharged me at the end three times the amount of my deductible and the same time locked my truck up in a different area after 3 days of being there because I couldn't come up with the money I myself chose Epic to do my vehicle because I put Faith in them and this is the thanks I get from them in return immediately holding my truck for Ranson and charging me storage fees John is a liar he's very terrible at customer service and I still have not even seen my truck it's been 2 months then it seems to me that he was out to get me from day one never mind the fact that I chose him for business he targeted me the very first time I met him there and he's been doing so every sense and he's trying to keep my vehicle and I believe he stole the rental car that he provided me because they were not done on time and he's actually charging me for that as well this company to crook I have yet to see the work they have finished on my vehicle so they say I have yet to even get to my vehicle he is kept it stay far away from John and this company epic they are a nightmare and that one star I put there is definitely an exaggeration they won't let me post it until I put a star down for John's behind that too I'll be seeing you read more

This is one of the only places I trust to get my vehicle worked on. As a young woman I know I can trust that they don't overcharge or request unnecessary work! The workers John and Matt are exceptional. They always have been friendly and explain the work they're going to or need to do. John, I really don't know where else to turn. Ken Ray Bailey told me that he uses your shop to work on cars. He picked up my truck on April 10th for a full rebuild. The problem was that it was leaking from the connector, and i figured that a full rebuild was worth it if it had to be pulled to fix the leak. I told him that the original shop i took it to said that the valve body was the problem. He brought it back a week later, still leaking with black silicone everywhere. I called him and he said he would take it back clean off the silicone and fix the leak with a new wiring harness. After another week, and him giving me the run around, I had had enough and asked where my car was because I wanted to pick it up. He had my 1200 dollars, and my car. He would never give me an address. He told me i had to meet him at your shop after hours. I told him that was unacceptable, and wanted my car immediately. Then he agreed to meet at your shop at 2 o'clock. I was on the phone with him and he said he would bring it to my work, after i gave him the address, and waited over 2 hours, he said "ill be there in 5 minutes". I waited outside my work for 20 more minutes. Then he texted that he dropped the car off at my mothers house, the original place he picked up the car the first time. I asked repeatedly for the receipts for the parts, he said he would fax them over, and never did. Was he working on a white avalanche, or a older blue van with Illinois tags for you? Because those are the cars he and his wife drove around when picking up and dropping of my truck. My problem is now i have a car that leaks so bad there is a 8 foot puddle under it, and I'm out $1200. Its not even drive able now. I have no proof that Ken did anything to my car except smoke a lot of cigarettes in it and smear black silicone to try to stop it from leaking, and somehow made it leak worse than before. This man lied to me numerous times, I have all of the text messages that we sent back and forth, and would be happy to show them to you. He says now the leak is a separate issue, and I need to buy more parts, even though the only reason he was working on it was because it was leaking. If I can't get any thing out of Ken, I guess I will have talk to everybody i can just to make sure he doesn't do this to other people. I would have no problem him keeping the money that he can prove he spent on my truck with receipts, but I have still not seen one. He told me you both looked at it, and know why it leaks. Know i have taken it to a shop that says it doesn't look like the transmission was ever pulled. I would appreciate any info you might be able to give me. Thank you for your time, Tony read more

EPIC RIPOFF would be a more appropriate name. Took my car there for the advertised "A/C check $54". The check cost me $87. The a/c worked on the way home (10 minutes) and then again for about 15 minutes the next day on my way home before the air turned hot. I pulled into Epic and was told that I would now need an $89 diagnostic exam PLUS the cost of freon! Still wondering what the first "check" accomplished. And when they found out what was wrong the cost of the repair also. The manager also stated that he hated a/c systems and that he and at least one other mechanic had nonworking a/c in their own cars! read more
