If you want to get more karaoke songs in, this is the place to go to for Family friendly Free Karaoke every Friday and Saturday 9pm-1am. The space is large with lots of tables with a square bar in the middle. The kitchen closes by around 10pm I believe but you may want to call ahead to check. The bar is open until closing. The karaoke host is great! To sign up for a song, simply tell her your name and the song or write it on a piece of paper. The bar gets pretty busy, but overall, it is a more chill vibe with some great local singers as well as fun tourists. Highly recommend this spot! read more

We stopped in while staying at the hotel, and the experience was mixed. It took almost 15 minutes before a server came by to take our drink order. By the time the server arrived, we ordered both our drinks and food together because we had already been waiting so long. I ordered a Caesar salad with a shrimp topper. The shrimp came breaded and fried, and while it tasted fine, the salad itself was not very fresh. Some of the croutons were either stale or had been refrigerated too long, leaving them soft. Overall, the salad was nothing special. My wife had the rockfish sandwich, which she enjoyed. It normally comes with chips, but swapping for fries adds an extra $2.99 to the price. The food overall was fine and more like typical bar food than anything memorable. The main advantage is the convenience of having a place to eat in the hotel, especially when the weather is bad and you do not feel like going out. That convenience does come at a price. For one Caesar with shrimp, a rockfish sandwich with fries, and two mixed drinks that were average and made with mixers, and one lemonade, the bill came to $82 before tip. This place is terrible. Firstly, I sat at the bar to order some food to go. The bartender asked for my order and waited for me to give my full food order before saying "drinks only." He finally came back to take my order and was rude the entire time. 40 minutes later I got my burger and a salad. He forgot that he took my credit card nearly an hour ago. From start to finish, our dining experience at Epic Bar & Grille, was EPIC!!!!! Our hostess and server was gracious, attentive and friendly. Our dinners were absolutely, absolutely over the top, delicious!!!!! We ordered an Angus Classic Cheeseburger (8 oz) and a House Salad with grilled blackened shrimp. My salad was wonderful. .The romaine lettuce, the cherry tomatoes, croutons and feta cheese were all fresh and crisp. The grilled blackened shrimp was a generous portion and was the best grilled shrimp I have EVER had. The grilled to perfection Angus cheeseburger was served on a savory brioche roll with a side of chips. French fries can be substituted for a slight charge. It too was given a huge "thumbs up" I highly recommend you check out this restaurant at the Grand Hotel. Slowest service on the planet! The majority of the waitresses/bartenders cannot multitask if their life depended on it. I am sure they made money simply because they were super busy, not as a reflection of good service. When you finally could get a beer, they were cheap which was a plus. If you get a burger, it comes with chips or you can upgrade to fries for a few bucks. I opted to stay with chips and it literally came with TORTILLA chips. Never saw that before. No salsa or cheese...just plain tortilla chips. Silly in my opinion. The appetizer soft pretzel with beer cheese wasn't bad and was plenty to share. The last day before I left OCMD, my friend and I sat at the bar for a complete 25 minutes waiting for a beer but service never came. After 20 minutes we waved at which time the bartender seemed offended we even waved at her and said she'd be right with us. After helping customers who came in way after us and waiting another five minutes, we walked out. This place definitely lost a lot of business due to their pace. But after staying at the hotel, it was the one close place that stayed open late. read more

I don't know what it's like in the summer but in February this lace rocks! Ovi is a great bartender and makes a mean tanqueray and tonic. The chef there on February 5th 2024 should be the top chef. His or her spicy shrimp is exquisite. The shrimp po'boy is loaded with crispy fried shrimp covering every inch of the baker fresh roll. Add their tartar and you have a perfect po'boy. The bar had an eclectic music collection for most tastes. Being February we have excellent service but still a nice small crowd. Everybody looked happy. read more

This is the second time I have been to this restaurant, and it was a complete catastrophe. The nice decor of the restaurant is deceiving, and leaves you unprepared for what is about to come. You'd think making what the menu says what the food is would be easy, but someone I know ordered the pulled pork sandwich with coleslaw and was given dry, fatty ham on a bun. I myself got a burger, which was over cooked, and it was placed on a sopping wet bun which broke the second I picked it up. You'd think it couldn't get worse, but the service was terrible. We were the only table in the restaurant, yet something as simple as refills took forever. I know see why we were the only table in there. It sucked so bad. Never eat here. Side note: If you want to order a water from here, you have better luck walking a few feet out to the ocean and drinking from there. read more

Do not eat here. I ordered a water and I received a small glass and a bottle that had a green residue on the bottom. pitiful. I also ordered a chicken sandwich that I payed $2.99 to get hot sauce on. The food took over an hour to come out even though my small group were the only people in the restaurant. The bun I received was soggier than a wet sponge. The menu said all sandwiches came with lettuce, tomato, and onion and I got just a sorry tomato instead. I will never return to this pathetic establishment and as a message to all who read this review, please do the same and never eat here so it gets shut down. We recently stayed at the Grand and ended up at the Epic Bar and Grille after attending the event we were in town for. The service was SO SLOW. They had two bartenders working and you would still wait 20 minutes or more to get a drink. I felt like we were overcharged and our receipt wasn't itemized so there was no way to tell. The menu, although small looked good. Unfortunately the food was not great. Everything was luke warm and not much flavor. Wait staff need to learn not to put their fingers on the ends of the straws. If you are looking for a nice family meal in Ocean City, I would strongly suggest going quite literally anywhere else. If you are staying in the hotel that accommodates this restaurant, you mind find it an easy and quick idea to eat here for lunch or dinner. This would be a mistake. There are countless other restaurants in the surrounding areas that are significantly better are much more deserving of your time and money. If you order water, you are given a small cup and a tall glass bottle that you may use to fill said cup. Not to mention, the thin cup had possible algae growing in it! However, it is so thin that you would actually receive more water if they just filled up one of the cups that all of the other drinks came in. One member of my party ordered a pulled pork sandwich with coleslaw. When they received it, they noticed that there was no coleslaw on it. When the waiter was asked about this, they simply stated that they were out of coleslaw. This most definitely would have been nice to know beforehand. On top of this, the sandwich was not filled with pulled pork, but rather large fatty pieces of ham. The waiter brought the plate back (something they should NEVER do) after the chef magically found coleslaw to place on top of the sandwich. We declined this and at the very least we were able to take it off of our bill. Another member of my party never even received his meal. After waiting a decent amount of time for it to be brought it, he asked the waiter and they said that it might be out in 10 minutes. What a joke. We told them simply not to make it and for it not to be included on the bill. Somebody else I was eating with asked very specifically for their pretzel to come out with the rest of the food, but it was delivered to him nearly half an hour before the other meals came out. Additionally, every sandwich bun was so soggy that a majority of them fell apart as soon as we picked them up. It was very clear that most of the food had been sitting for at least 10 minutes. We went to this place in hope that we would not be disappointed. Unfortunately, they were alittle short staffed, so we won't hold that against them. With that being said we tried to order a few appetizers and they were all conveniently out. So we went ahead and ordered our entrees. It took about 25 minutes for them to come out, not bad since they were short handed waiter/waitress wise. The burgers we got we good, but the fries were cold. We asked the waiter about the fries and he said he would bring out a fresh basket of fries, we said perfect. He returned to our table 1 minute later with another plate of cold fries. It was a shame. Boy has this place changed. It was always a bit gloomy and sort of a hole-in-the wall kind of place, but at least the food was reliably good. Not anymore. My wife loved their pulled pork sandwich with cole slaw, so on our first visit back there in months she ordered it. When the runner brought our food, there was no pulled pork and no cole slaw, and when my wife asked what was going on she was told that they no longer had pulled pork or cole slaw. Nice of them to substitute a yucky pork belly sandwich rather than simple tell us about the change of menu. BTW the pork belly was really bad. I'd ordered a cheesesteak -- can't go too far wrong with that, right? Wrong. Never in the history of greasy-spoon dishes has a cheesesteak had less meat, or anything else for that matter -- fully half the sub roll was naked but for some stray shredded lettuce. So the food is now really no reason to go here, but that is topped by the service, or lack thereof. I had a draft beer, but the waitress disappeared after taking our order and never came back to enquire if I wanted another, which I did. And the runner also disappeared without asking if we needed anything, and without bringing a second set of cutlery. In the end, my wife had to take the credit card up the bar to pay, since we were essentially forgotten. I've never walked out of a restaurant without paying, but I had been about to do just that. Back when Covid was keeping most folks at home, Epic seemed to make an effort, but now that things are quasi-normal they've completely dropped the ball. Awful, overpriced food that we waited over an hour for. Would give zero stars if I could. I ordered an "epic" burger that was anything but. It was supposed to have blue cheese with onions and there was maybe 1/4 of a teaspoon of blue cheese and some of the soggiest, sad looking onions you've ever seen. Not that either could have saved it. The beef smelled like old meat that had gone bad, and it tasted even worse than the smell. The french fries were cold and stale. Don't eat here! epic bar and grille more like epic fail! waited an hour and a half for soggy food that had obviously been sitting there for awhile when we were the only table in the building. they forgot a whole sandwich that we ordered. also when one of us ordered a pulled pork sandwich with coleslaw it came without coleslaw. when asked where the coleslaw was they responded with we don't have any. the pulled pork was also just cut up pieces of really fatty chunks of meat. when the sandwich was sent back the same sandwich was later returned with coleslaw. every sandwich we ordered had a soggy bottom bun and was poorly put together. when i bit into a fry fryer oil dripped out if it. disappointed in both service and food. leaving hungry and sad :( the music was alright though! read more

Miller lite $2.50 for happy hour-even on Saturday . Bartenders were very friendly and helpful when asked where places were fun as we were visiting for the weekend. We got there and we're the only people in the bar and even as it got crowded they didn't forget about us and still tried to talk to us. An unexpected surprise find in the lobby of The Grand! Beer is always cold, drinks are on point, and the food is super delish! We chose a western burger - topped with onion rings, bacon, cheddar cheese and bbq sauce. Damn! That was an excellent burger! Can tell it's fresh ground meat and not that frozen preformed stuff other places get. Roll was super soft and slightly toasted and the fries were just as good! More than generous in portion - we shared a burger and fries and were both satisfied. You have to find this place and you have to go inside. It will be worth it-I promise! read more
